Really disappointed. I used the Costco website to locate a dealer for the base model Acadia. I emailed back and forth and then spoke over the phone with a Julian, each time explaining that I'm looking for the base model Acadia. I arrive at the dealership and Julian pulls out a beautiful Acadia. Per our previous communications I assume its the Acadia we have been talking about. We sit down we go over quotes. He gives me numbers and I write them down. We get to finance and suddenly the monthly payments are 100 more than we discussed. Julian insists he didn't give me the numbers I had. We finally get the finance guy to put the vehicle price and incentives in that we were originally quoted and magically the numbers I have show up. We end up leaving and I get home and realize they quoted me a price $1000 higher than what Costco prices. When I get a text from Julian the next day, I explain that he over quoted me. He says he doesn't believe me and I tell him to check the site. He then tells me that he showed me a nicer model style. I indicate I specifically told him what style I wanted. He lied again and told me that I asked for a upgraded stereo, which I didn't. Complete lack of integrity. Which is disappointing since he indicated he goes to the same church as my grandmother. In any case we would have purchased had they given me the correct Costco price and not played games. The Costco price was only 500 more than what I advised I wanted to pay, but their deception cost them a sale. read more

I was at Mark Christopher Chevrolet On 1/16 Servicing my Camaro for an oil change and a shimmy in my steering wheel, so they tell me my Roters have to be resurfaced, breaks are good, 450.00 for two, So I go pick up my car, tell Bill I'm not gonna do the Roters. That was at 1315 hrs, at almost 1430 I ask why so long, I'm out of there by 1500 ‍. Take my car today 1/18 to a recommended mechanic to have the Roters resurfaced, 105.00, all 4 Roters, what a disparity in price, it is such a rip off, then this fine mechanic says BTW, let me show you the Master Cylinder Leak that is bubbling up your paint under the hood (pretty obvious when you see it). So I called Mark Christopher to make sure they top off fluids for an oil change, and Juan says yes they usually do that, then why didn't they notice my Master cylinder leak?? He's is gonna tell a Mgr, but doesn't offer free oil changes for life, ok at least one, something! Service ther So I would like to update my review, I called Jeff Rizzi the Service Manager at Mark Christopher (MC) Auto Center, he apologized for my incident and asked me to please bring my vehicle in, he stated he would fix the Master Cylinder at the cost of the product, No labor charge, so I took it in and it turns out, the reservoir that holds the fluid was leaking, not the Master Cylinder, so they replaced the reservoir and covered the entire cost . I asked Jeff why the dealer service centers didn't price match with independent mechanics, even if dealer service charged me 50-100.00 More I would probably stay with the dealer service centers and he said he would absolutely do that for SOME problems and was transparent in telling me, I was misquoted on the resurfacing of my rotors, which I give him kudos for admitting. Even though he spoke to the service guys and the person who misquoted, I still think they need another way to ensure that doesn't happen again besides Jeff looking at every invoice, cause had I been stupid enough to get the resurfacing done, the misquote might not have been found. So I thank MC, Jeff Rizzi for being Honest, transparent, and stepping up to fix my problem which I now give 4 stars read more

This is the second time I have used Mark Christopher. The first time I dealt with George and he was very cocky, condescending, and just rude. Unfortunately I was forced to them again after encountering mechanical issues with my Cruze on my way home from work they were the closet dealer. On this visit I dealt with Jackie who was much more helpful and nice to work with. The problem lies in the estimate for repair. I was told that it would cost nearly $3K to repair my car. I am fairly savy when it comes to automobiles and knew that couldn't be accurate. I had my vehicle towed to Tom Bell in Redlands and my car was fixed the next day for $900. That is less than 1/3 of what Mark Christopher quoted. Either the technicians need training or I was being scammed. I am leaning toward being scammed and I am planning on reporting their service department to the BBB. read more

I took my 2018 Chevy Cruze in for its first inspection at Mark Christopher Chevrolet Service Center. I had an appointment with Ray Peters the service advisor. As soon as I walked in everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. Ray got my car in right away for its oil change and inspection despite how busy the service department was. I really appreciated how fast their service was!! Ray kept me updated on the vehicle's progress while I waited... I think this has been the fastest I've ever had my car serviced in all the vehicles I have owned!! Thank you Ray for your excellent customer service! Be VERY careful when looking at vehicles from Mark Christopher Chevrolet. This weekend we saw a 2016 Chevy Tahoe LTZ in their ad (Stock number 71210) that interested us enough that we called on Easter to get more details. We carefully looked at the ad to make sure it had all the features that are important to us. That included Adaptive Cruise. It was listed under the dealer's description of the vehicle. However, when we looked at the window sticker we found adaptive cruise to be missing. I suggested to my husband that we call the dealership to get clarification. The salesman that took he call was more than happy to talk to us about the Chevy Tahoe, until we brought up this difference between the dealer's description and the sticker. He either was completely uneducated on car features or he flat out lied when he told us that adaptive cruise is the same thing as cruise control. This is a $995 feature that is a deal breaker for us if not in the vehicle. The salesman then went on to get rude with my husband, saying the vehicle was already deeply discounted and it just shouldn't be a big deal. Ultimately, if I had not done my research I would have spent more than $60,000 (with taxes and fees) for a vehicle that is NOT what I want because of their inaccurate ad and lying/misinformed salesman. I had a bummer of an experience here. I live out of state, so negotiated a deal remotely with my sales rep, Norman. Deal in place, I took a bus from Vegas to the dealership, expecting to drive off in the new car. Long story short, turns out Norman made a painfully simple mistake in the initial paperwork, which effectively made it that they couldn't sell to me anywhere near the agreed upon price. A little basic awareness and diligence by Norman, and it would have saved me a day's worth of bus trips. His lack of engagement was really disappointing. His shoe was untied, food stains on his pants from who knows how many meals ago. In his defense, he did make himself extremely available in the process of negotiating remotely, I appreciated that, although it ended up being for nothing. Bummer. read more

I had an incident about a year ago. Thought several times about posting my experience. With an incident like this I feel it should be addressed. I would NEVER treat my customers the way I was treated !! If I could rate a ZERO it would be. I had the WORST experience with this company. I had to deal with CFO. While I was there I felt threaten by her. I was there to get a refund check paid, that was stolen in the mail. This women kept insisting I sit in chair and kept pointing finger in my face. July 23, 2016: Finance=Sam and Sales=Jesse work in tandem. Mark Christopher is a business - its sole goal is make their sales and monthly quota. Friendship and Chevy loyalty does not work in this environment. Make sure that you think twice in having them appraise the value of your vehicle for trade-in. When Sunrise Ford gives you a better value for a Chevy Camaro than the dealership you purchased it. They are not going for Customer or Brand loyalty. The service department at this dealership is horrible. Have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, I've had a few recalls over the years, and the only reason I come here is because of those. I call as soon as I get the recall paperwork, and it takes months for them to receive the parts needed. They say they'll call when they receive them, and they never do!Constantly quoted a certain amount of time and it ends up being double the time then what was quoted. Very difficult to get a straight answer of when my vehicle will actually be ready. Staff is lacking courtesy and helpfulness. Almost 7 hours seems like an awfully ridiculous amount of time to replace a gasket. I won't be back, I'll try a different location farther away... UPDATE, after I wrote this post and my car was ready I spoke to the manager Jeff, he was very kind and understanding. Offered a couple gift cards for gas as a token of an apology. I really do appreciate that sort of customer service. He listened to my concerns I voiced and seem to care! Hoping I don't ever get another recall to have to come back, BUT I'm really happy I was able to speak to Jeff and hoping their staff gets a little nicer!c read more

I was over on miles, they worked the deal with another vehicle. So i purchased another vehicle from them and re assured me it was all taken care of. 2 months later received a $5,000 Bill for miles. Drove all the way out from Seal Beach because JC gave me his word that he could make a deal for a Buick Encore. Just bring in our trade and he'd restructure lease to fit our budget. Never happened. Vince (finance guy) insulted us with a ridiculously low trade-in offer, and wouldn't budge. Unfortunately, JC was not around, maybe he could have done a bit more, but Vince's attitude was "take it or leave it" and could care less about helping us out. We left after wasting two hours with these jerks, and headed to Penske Buick in Cerritos. Penske gave us $1500 more for our trade and bent over backwards to fit our budget. Two hours in Cerritos Buick, and drove off with our Buick Encore. So if you need a Buick, go see Guillermo at Penske Buick in Cerritos. They will take care of you, unlike the folks at Mark Christopher. read more

Funny how one experience can affect your perception. There is no "I" team, but that "I" can be a bad reflection on the team. I won't be giving a bad rating simply because my normal advisor is great, helpful, kind, and genuinely seems to care. However, on one of my visits he happened to be off that day. Long story short I got shafted, by a dismissive tone,, and attitude after they failed to have a part in Stock to complete a job. I came in bright and early, as they suggested, only to find out id have to wait; 4hrs just for the part to arrive. Then I'd have to wait for the job to be completed. AWESOME? NEGATIVE. With no shuttle service available, and the failure being on their end, I requested a loaner Vehicle. Denied I was instructed to get a rental..... wait what? Shame on them. Thanks for the great customer disservice. This is the first time I'll be leaving this v dealership with a chip on my shoulder. If my service advisor ever leaves this dealership, I'LL BE OUT AS WELL. read more

I am trying to get a deal from them over email or phone for mother whose 70 years old, they keep wanting her to come over, covid is out of control right now, and I don't think it's right for a 70 year to come out and spend 5 hrs at the dealer then maybe at the end we can't even make a deal. I have bought many many cars over the phone and just gone over to sign documents and pick up the truck. But these guys can't even give me a quote over phone or email, about 3 different salesman, I tell them what I want, and all the info they need, they say" we will get you quote within a few mins" then to never hear from them again.... even before covid I bought most of my cars over email/phone, and I change cars quite often, every year I get a new car.... these guys just horrible, don't wanna do a deal over the phone so their customers can be exposed to covid. My wife took her car in for service last November. Part of the service required parts to be ordered and she was told that she would be notified by MC when they arrived. They never called so I called to see if the parts came in and MC confirmed they had. A couple days later I went to pick them up only to wait about 30 minutes, in their $ 1,000,000 waiting room, to be told they didn't have them. The guy at the counter was nice when he asked if I could come back later in the afternoon and that he'd call me when the parts can in. He called and I picked them up. Wow! Two trips for $ 21.00 worth of parts- guess that's why you order things on the internet. read more

The old saying, BUYER BEWARE will be embedded on my tombstone, thanks to Mark Christopher Chevrolet. I'm an old fashioned gal who has never purchased a car on my own in my 55 yrs on earth, and I trustingly take people at their word. This place was referred to me by a good friend so I went, trusting they would do me right. I bought a car for, what I thought was $19,000.00 - OUT THE DOOR; tax license everything - as verbally agreed, with a hand shake, by the General Manger. I put $5000.00 down and mathematically that would leave $14,000.00 for the loan - or so I thought. When I went to see what my payoff amount would be because I didn't want this 7yr(!) loan they worked out for me to keep my payment within my budget, the loan company told me it would be over $16,000.00 (I've made one payment so far)!! So I pulled out the paper work that was shoved in front of me to sign that day in July, I now see they added in an APR finance charge BEFORE the loan amount, and managed to squeeze in another $900 for GAP insurance, that their financial guy told me he was "throwing in" because he thought I should have it. A hard lesson learned that someone's word is NOT worth crap.... AND the car, which was a 2012, only had one key and they wouldn't even throw in the cost of a duplicate!! I had to pay over $50 to have it shipped (I made 2 trips already & their machine wasn't working!?) -but hey, they threw in two wiper blades for free!!?? I suspect this is typical car dealership tactics to make more money... The next dealership I go to won't get off with just a bad YELP review!! Maybe MC Chevy will do right by me and fix the loan the way it was SUPPOSED to be and I'll write a better review afterwards??!! read more

He was EXTREMELY kind and and patient with me while I went through the loss process. The car I originally chose ended up selling by the time my loss pay out came. As far as I can remember, my family has told me the nonsense games that dealers tend to play. They'll go back to their boss/manager and see what they can do for you and all that crap. We showed up here early morning wanting to check out a sale they had advertised in the paper. After finding out that those clearance cars were stick shifts, it gave us a piece of mind. You're probably like "why would u have a piece of mind?". Well manual cars aren't really that ideal for LA commuters. There's a reason the automatic is a big seller -- it's easy to drive. So at least we knew there weren't anything wrong with these cars expect for the fact that 9 months has gone by on these 2014's and they're still on the lot. ANYWAY, we take for a spin, the car even tells you when to shift gears, 4 cylinder, it's awesome. We runs credit check, got our predicted interest rate, gave em my down payment and bam, we got it! Got a 2014 Chevy Sonic Sedan LS for $10,400. Compared to $16k. Drove off the lot with 12 miles on it! xD These guys (or at least the ones I encountered) weren't hustlers. Mind you, I went on a Friday @ 9am. Do your homework and get the deal you want. In general, don't be afraid to be rude or aggressive. Good luck! read more

The service was perfectly fine & I appreciated the ride from my workplace back to the dealership to get my vehicle. Everything was smooth, however I was very disappointed with the 'car wash'. I admit my car was quite dirty on the outside & in need of vacuuming on the inside, so it was blatantly obvious than nothing had really been done to clean it. It may have been hosed off on the outside, but the result was not even as good as what you get at a drive through car wash. If i am paying to have my car serviced & that servicing includes a car wash, well that's what I expect. I should also point out that this was at the Buick service area. read more

FANTASTIC experience at Mark Christopher. I started off doing research on-line about the car I wanted. Mark Christopher had the car - 2013 Corvette. I sent an email to the dealership and received a prompt response from Sam. He was obviously a seasoned salesman (wink) - but I am a seasoned buyer too (wink). We communicated via text for a day or so and then I made an appointment to come in for a test drive. He was prepared, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and worked hard with his finance department to get me a great deal. Sometimes the finance stage of the transaction can be a bit . . . uncomfortable . . . but not at Mark Christopher. They were awesome. Sam basically walked me through the "owners manual" of the car and even helped me set up the bluetooth, On-star, radio stations, and nav system. Took my truck in for an oil change, tire rotation and inspection. While dropping off my truck and picking up my truck every service consultant I encountered was extremely rude and acted as if I was wasting their time. No one knew what was going on. When I had a question about the inspection, one of the females told me my appointment was with Ricky and I needed to talk to him that she could not help me. When she took me to Ricky..Ricky stated, "how did my name even get on this." I asked Ricky why they did not inspect my brakes while they had my tires off for the rotation and he told me they do not do that. It would of been nice to know that when dropping off my truck. I would like to know if I need brakes or not. After paying, I was told my truck would be brought out to me. After about 25min, a male came and asked me if I was waiting for a vehicle. I told him yes and he wrote done some numbers off my invoice. About ten minutes later my truck was brought and I was told no one ever told them I was there to pick up my truck. Once getting my truck I realized I had a large scratch on the side of my truck that was not there when I dropped it off. I would not recommend this dealership for service. Everyone is to busy being on their cell phones Over all horrible customer service. read more

Purchased an Equinox LT in February 2016 and while refinancing my home loan in May I am appalled to discover four hard credit inquiries initiated by this dealership. Apparently they shop your credit info to multiple financial institutes after you have agreed to specific loan terms. Credit scoring is affected by hard inquiries--avoid financing through this dealer. I regret ever setting foot on the lot. Interestingly, the hard credit inquiries were all dated after the date I agreed to dealer financing and bought the car. In other words, my finance terms were set, agreed and signed and the dealer then uses my credit to find a better deal -- not necessarily for me. read more

Driving home from work, I had an oxygen sensor underneath my 14 Cruze diesel fall off. I drove to the Mark Christopher Chevrolet service department. I was immediately met by Mike and was told they are very busy and it would be 1 or 2 days until my Cruze would be ready. No problem. They put me in a rental and quickly sent me on my way home. 2 days later my Cruze was ready and I drove home. I was very satisfied with the service. The only reason they got 3 stars is because they made a mess when they filled the diesel exhaust fluid. I didn't notice until I got home and saw the white crystallized fluid on the top of the rear bumper. I found more of a mess when I pulled the mat from the trunk. D.E.F. is considered corrosive and I was left to clean up the mechanics mess. I wasn't very irritated because they didn't charge me to fill up the D.E.F. tank. Just a bit annoyed that they didn't clean the mess they made. Besides the D.E.F mess, I'd definitely go back. read more

They get the job done but the people at the service desks are usually pretty sassy. Or maybe they are just trying to be funny but they aren't. I made an appointment and told them I needed the shuttle to make it back to work and I'm still sitting here 35 minutes later. I'm late for work. I asked the cashier to check the ETA of the shuttle driver and she said ok but never told me how much longer it would be. I can't officially complain about a specific event but every time I come here (which isn't too often but this is the 2nd car I've purchased from them) they like to make sure I feel like I'm just a number. Update: I asked a service member about the shuttle and told me the driver wasn't answering his phone & the other one is on lunch. I've now waited 45 minutes ... and counting. Update: I ended up waiting an hour for the shuttle. They never called me to say it's ready. I showed up several hours later after work and when I asked for my car they didn't have any paper work ready. Before I dropped my car off they asked if I wanted it wash. Yes, I did. I arrived and they asked me again. Which means I'm still sitting here waiting for my car. I didn't trust the shuttle service to bring me back and so I got a ride. Very inconvenient. I'm going somewhere else next time. read more

Had a good experience buying a new 2014 Chevy Cruze LS automatic in red. My sales guy was Armando. I went in for an ad car well under msrp. They had 5 in stock in several colors just as the ad said. They brought me the car I wanted to test drive and did no upsell. They did try to slip in an extended warranty while being vague, but I knew where the payments should be and caught it. I also caught that they left out one rebate but I believe that was an honest error. They added the conquest rebate with just my proof of insurance. Once that was done the numbers came back right and we had an easy deal. My dad says the sales people often don't even know the ad exists and may give you a hard time to get the deal, but here they were very easy to deal with. They apologetically informed us we'd have to hear them pitch the extended warranty a few times (the sales guy, the closer, and the finance guy each), but they didn't push when I declined each time. I also pushed for them to get a bit lower finance rate and they did. Basically, I got the exact car I wanted at an amazing price with a fair financing rate and a low monthly payment, all with no hassle. The dealer was very professional over all. After the sale, Armando helped me set up my onstar and connect my phone via Bluetooth. He pretty much went over the whole dash with me. I've never had a car salesman do that after a sale, so that was nice. I recommend this dealer, but always go in informed. See my tips! read more
