Over the last 17 years my husband and I have purchased five vehicles from the Mark Christopher auto center. We've purchased two Chevy Silverado's, two Cadillac Escalade's, and one suburban. I feel like every time we buy from them, the service has gone downhill. The service department is not very good. You're lucky if they answer their phone. They're not very good at communicating with you or keeping their appointment times. I had an appointment for 9 AM but didn't get seen to almost 11 AM. I was late to work because they do not keep their appointments. When you need a vehicle to rent they don't even give you anything equal to what they're trying to fix it's under warranty. We are a family of six and they would not approve a rental that would fit my whole family. When we picked up our cars from the Chevy service department, the cars are not even washed. They claim they are not washing vehicles. Cadillac did a little bit better. They at least give me a vehicle that would fit my family and when I picked up my car the cars were washed. I don't know if I will ever buy from them again. read more

I have owned 4 Chevrolet's, 2 GMC's, 2 Fords (my worst mistake ever) 2 Buicks, 2 Toyota's and 2 Mercedes in my life and no automobile was BETTER than Chevrolet. Scheduled an 8am Oil Change, Tire Rotation and Multi Point Inspection. I was surprised at checking in that wait time was 2 hours! I then walked into waiting area, and was not happy to find no option to buy hot coffee. I asked about the complimentary shuttle, and was told "no shuttle service due to social distancing". There is nothing walking distance for food or beverages! There are vending machines in waiting area if that would satisfy, I only saw one person buy something during my wait. So.... the wait, I was called on cell phone at 11:15 that my truck was ready and to see cashier. I'm sorry 3hours and 15minutes is way too long for a scheduled appointment for this type of service. Took another 15minutes to receive truck, so total time was over 3.5 hours including check in wait time of 15minutes. I cringe when utilizing dealerships for this type of service, wait times are always excruciating. Only reason for this visit was due to first service was free, I just bought truck there last December. read more

I called on a Monday for a Friday appointment to have my check engine light code read. My vehicle is still under warranty. I asked for the first appointment in the morning so I could bring the car in before work. They told me the early appointments were taken and the best they could do was 8:30 am. I brought the car at that time and had to wait 30 minutes in a long line of cars before anyone took my vehicle. By the end of the day, they still had not looked at my car to see what was causing the check engine light to go on. They let me know they needed to keep the car until Monday because no one had gotten to it. I went all weekend without a car, and then got a call at noon on Monday saying car was ready, there's nothing wrong it. I asked if they could wash the vehicle for me because they kept it all weekend, so I wasn't able to take it to the car wash. They told me "We aren't doing washes." What awful service from this dealership. Never coming back here again. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle at this dealership, 2 days after purchasing the vehicle I got a problem with it. The car door would not close and pretty much got stranded due to the faulty door, since I wasn't able to drive with the door not closing. I had to tow the vehicle to the dealership and spoke to the Manger Mike about my problem. I do not feel like this vehicle should give me any problems at all being that it was just bought less than 2 days ago. I told him I was dissatisfied with my purchase and did not want it anymore due to the vehicle being faulty. He told me he could not take it due to him "having to resell a used vehicle and that would be crazy, that he would take a loss" he advised me to take it up with GM that if it happened enough times then they'll do something and that he "couldn't and doesn't want to help me". I never would not recommend anyone coming to this dealership there are many other good Chevy dealerships out there who are probably willing to help. I'm am really disappointed and amazed the way I was spoken to "helped" and treated. I will be talking to GM about my Issue and doing something about my faulty vehicle. read more

Went in knowing exactly what I want. I was approached by Johnny showed me the vehicle, it was exactly what I was looking for. I made an offer and he wasn't willing to present it or come back with a counter offer. He didn't present anything on paper for me to see, I have no idea what the breakdown of charges is, what incentives are being applied. I walked out with my checkbook in hand. Honestly, I never do reviews but I had a good experience here and feel like they deserve a shout out at least. I bought a 2020 Silverado RST from one of the salesman, Alex Sarabia, and it was one of the best experiences I've had buying a car. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. He wasn't all pushy and aggressive like most car salesman are and worked hard to earn my business. He didn't try to force me into something I didn't want, listened to my conditions and worked around whatever I threw at him. I went in to look at the truck and ended up leaving with it because it was such a great experience. I definitely recommend Alex Sarabia if you're thinking of buying/selling your car. My boyfriend and I went truck shopping last weekend and went to few different dealers to figure out what work truck would work best for him and the company he works for as it would be a company truck. We arrived and of course we were greeted, we test drive a 2500 Z71 which was nice but it was a short bed and not something we were looking for. we wanted something with more things included in the package we looked at their Silverado HD which was nice but we needed a fleet price since it was going to be company work truck, after we had mentioned that it was going to be fleet it seemed as if the sales person didn't have any interest in helping us he took us to the fleet Manager and he wasn't there so he continued to help us. The sales person informed us that he would have his fleet manager contact us on Monday with pricing and information and we said okay. Well Monday comes around no call no email no nothing so my boyfriend called the manager and left a voicemail and emailed him and guess what still to this day no response. We waited until Friday to make a final decision on what truck we were going to go with and guess what the only dealer that was efficient and had great customer service was ford. So we went with a Ford F-350 superduty. I don't know if we were treated the way we were treated because it was going to be a fleet vehicle or what but I can guarantee we will never come back to this dealer again. read more

The service in the parts department is worthless. Every time I call to order parts I get put on hold , the call gets passed around and after 20 min I get fed up and hang up call back and same thing again. I even headed over thinking maybe they are just really busy and when I get there it was slow with people sitting around or dragging their feet. Seriously?? After several times of this I'm done trying with this dealer. I could just imagine if some purchased a car here the kind of run around they will give you. I've even had someone on the phone exhale like I was bothering them. Furthermore, I brought it up to the service manager and his excuse was oh they are about to go home. That is no excuse unless you were already closed. I said if I wasn't on hold for 20 min at a time and having to keep calling I would have been done ordering my parts long before the department would have closed. So a brush off is what I got with no care or understanding. That shows why the service is so subpar and not in order. I'm Glad I found out about this dealers lack of leadership and customer service before trying to get repairs or even worse to purchase my next vehicle. Very dissatisfied customer. I purchased a CPO vehicle from MC Chevy, put 5k miles on it in just a few months and had to buy a new battery. There is no way the battery was good when they sold the vehicle to me. Then after i buy the battery from a Chevy dealer closer to my house (delillo) i had to return to that dealer TWICE for the same reason A BATTERY!! It cost me time ( over a week accumulated) i could not use my vehicle for work (uber/lyft driver), plus the "liability cost" of the rental vehicle so i am not liable for any damages to the rental. I called the service manager at MC chevy and was told he would talk to the used car mgr. I have not heard back. All i wanted was to be reimbursed for the battery. I believe its not to much to ask for? After all, they sold me this vehicle which cost me extra time (money into my pocket) and money out of pocket. If they decide to compensate me i will update this review. *1/25/17 update* ... check was mailed to my house for the value of the battery I purchased at the dealer after sending receipts into service manager Jeff R. Had my Cadillac towed on February 4, just received my vehicle back on February 19. The most pleasant experience of this whole encounter was when my car was being towed and when I was being shuttled to get a rental car. I have never been treated so poorly. The customer service was bad, they were inconsiderate of my time. I had to file a claim through my car insurance and they would not work on my car until they received approval from the insurance. Emails were sent but they claimed they never received them. They would have IT look into the issue. Not one time did they give me an alternative resolution. Called me to tell me my car was ready but when I arrived, there were still issues. Very disappointed with the service, inconsideration, lack of communication skills and professionalism towards their valued customers. Not taking my car back to them. read more

This review is only for my Phone experience with them, which is deplorable! I got a message on my cell phone regarding a suburban that I did not purchase. Trying to be helpful I called the dealership main line and sales line to let them know they had the wrong number. I pushed "0" for assistance, but no one answered the phone. I just keep getting recycled to the recording over and over again. I called back a few times and finally someone answered. When I said, "Oh! Wow, someone answered." They hung up on me!!! UNBELIEVABLE! Twenty-five or so years ago I did business with them and had such a bad experience I swore I would never go back. It's a good thing because I think they have actually gotten worse! In fact, I was pre-approved for a loan and have more than sufficient income to make this purchase. If I had a choice to leave less than a 1 star I would have. You will not get a good price here. I have a 2021 chev Silverado 3500 HD, took it into Mark Chrisopher for a ripped front axle CV boot. I was told to take my truck and continue to drive it due to them not having the part in stock, they would call me when it came in . My truck had 23028 miles on it at this point. So a month and a half goes by at this point I have 35565 miles about to run out of warranty. I call them and informed that the part has not arrived yet . I asked for them to check and then I'm told yes it is there and I'm scheduled to take my truck in the next day and drop it off. So when I drop it off I'm told it should be ready by the end of the day, I was out of town till the following day . I call them when I get back in town , and told it's not done yet but it would be done by the end of that day now. So my truck has a tracker that tells me when the truck is on or moving. So I pull up the tracker and see the truck has not been moved since it was dropped of the day before, and 10 minutes after we get off phone the truck started and moved. So I'm dropped off at the dealer to wait for my truck. Several hours later it gets finished and I get my receipt and the is no mention about my other concern about my rear leaf springs on the drivers side shifted about 1-2 inches. So I go back and speak with service adviser and she speakers to technician and he tells her it normal for the leaf springs to shift. I ask for the technician to come look at it and he tells me that it depends on how much weight I'm towing with my truck. You have to be kidding me , the 2021 truck is advertised to be able to haul 36K and I only haul up to 10K with it, so then he changes his tone and says to go tell the service adviser to document my concerns. I go back and speak with her She does not want to document it. Tells me to bring the truck back before it hits 36K so they can look at it, I'm annoyed at this point because a technician just looked at it why can't she speak to him. I'm supposed to stop my day and bring my truck back in and leave it for a couple days to do a 5 min job. I took my truck back home loosened the u bolts straighten the shifted leaf spring and retightened bolts took me a whole 5 minutes.... smh They just lost my business. I've bought several brand new Chevrolet trucks but will not give them my future business due to how I was treated as a customer. read more

I'm giving them a 5 star review only because Will Villasenor and Christina (Customer Relation Manager) saved the day !! Last Thursday (8/22) Mark Christopher was running a great special on the Terrain. I was at work so I asked my dad to check on the cars. I told him to ask for Joe Gonzales since he was referred to me. My dad physically went down there and Joe told my father that those were loaner cars and had about 3000 miles on them. Joe did not even bother to check anything, just told my dad that. I didn't want to buy a loaner car, so my dad left. After my dad left he looked at the ad and it said, "new", so called back and spoke with Gerald Waters. Guess what...the Terrains that we're at the price were new, not loaners. Why Joe Gonzales could be not bothered to check is beyond me. We went back down that night and bought a Terrain, not from Joe, but from Will (I think he works with Gerald). Will was awesome !! He took the time to explain everything to me and has been professional, courteous and responsive to everything since then. He didn't just sell the car and disappear. I would highly recommend anyone going to see him. My dad will be buying his next car from Will. Now on to Christina...I cannot day enough about her !! I had to bring my car back to have a couple of thing added and she has been on top of everything. If she told me she would get back to me in 2 hours, she got back to in an hour. I wish my experience here for my first time was a better one. I usually get serviced in Anaheim, but decided to try a closer location. Went in for a simple oil change and it turned into a 3hr wait. In the end my car was soaked in the inside apparently they took my car through the car wash without checking the windows. When they brought my car around I got in to drive off and noticed that I felt wet and my car roof was wet as well. No one notified me about the incident. I had to get out and speak with the rep in the service department. They then had to take it to detailing so they can dry it , you can imagine my frustation. On Friday March 6, 2015, I took my 2014 Chevy Camero to Mark Christopher for an oil change, now please know that I live about 2 miles from Singh Chevrolet in Riverside but choose to go to your dealership for two reasons. 1. I bought the vehicle there in August 2014 and was very happy with the way in which your employees treated me. 2. I have always been treated with respect and this is where I have the problem. On the day I was there I purchased a new remote for my car the cost was $92.61. The parts person told me I would need to take the remote over to the service department to be programmed. I went there and spoke with the service advisor who informed me that the cost to program the remote would be $105.00 and would require 2 hours on the computer. Due to the fact I did not have 2 hours in addition to the 3 1/2 hours for my oil change, I told the advisor I would make an appointment and bring the remote back at a later date. At the urging of a friend I checked YouTube for a video on the programing of my remote which I found. After watching the video I went to my car and followed the instructions and guess what IT WORKED. The remote was now programed and working fine in about 6 minutes and for zero dollars. I am shocked that a dealership that I trusted would abuse that trust by trying to trick me into spending $105.00 for something that was unnecessary. Due to this betrayal of trust, I will not be returning to Mark Christopher Chevrolet for my future service needs, I will also be removing all the positive post about your dealership that I posted on Yelp. I will also be contacting the corporate office of Chevrolet and inform them of this incident. read more

Service dept. simply sucks. I never purchased a vehicle at Mark Christopher so can't comment. But I took my vehicle with an appointment to get my check engine light service at 8 am. First, they couldn't find my appointment. Second, left the vehicle for 6 hours and received a call that they can't even look at it until tomorrow. After mentioning about my appointment she said "sorry that's how it goes" with an attitude. Not even a "let me see what I can do", nothing. Didn't bother to make an effort. It was a waist of time. Do not recommend going their for service. Now after reading reviews I should have never went. Took my vehicle to Rotolo in Fontana and was taken care of in 4 hours all parts under warranty and they actually had great customer service. Service Department is terrible! 3 hours to get the oil changed is absolutely terrible! In a time when dealerships are trying to compete with other companies like Jiffy Lube or mom and pop shops , Mark Christopher is clearly losing. Once they take your car in back, it's all over for the consumer. They boast about 90 service bays on their hold services but can't crank out an oil change in a 2014 truck? In think they may have forgot it was back there. Once my free measly 2 yr / 24,000 miles of oil changes are done, I'm done with them. My 2013 Hyundai Sonata's maintenance is way better. 10 yr / 100,000 miles and 5 yr / 50,000 miles of free oil changes! Glendora Hyundai's service department kicks MC butt. Anyhow, really disappointed with Mark Christopher's games. By the way, they didn't have time to fix the 2 recalls on my truck! What a shame. That's 4 recalls on a truck that isn't even a year old! Go USA. By the way, it's made in Mexico and my Hyundai is made in Alabama, USA! Go figure..... read more

Worse service experience ever!! Stay away. Went there on a Saturday morning and was turned away because I only came for an oil change. Apparently they are only interested in helping those that need major work done. Higher commissions I suppose. I purchased my car at this lously establishment only to find they care only about the sale. Never again will I come here for any service needs or to buy a new car. I bought a used certified 2011 camaro from here in march 2014 first of all i want to say im happy with the car and i guees i can say a got an ok deal since their team is really really hard to negotiate with as far as lowering my price.. the sales rep was eddy he was cool and professional all the way... On to my main point what really pissed me off was that I went in with a pre-approved check from my bank. Mark Christopher already knew that I was going to purchase the vehicle with this check and i told them twice please don't run an inquiry on my credit report since I won't be financing with you.. they said they wont... To my surprise a few months later there's an hard inquiry my credit report from mark Christopher with the same date i bought the car.. That really just pisses me off... i try to maintain a good credit and with less inquiries the better... they ran my credit and know im stuck with that on my report for 2 years thanks... read more

My wife and I were looking to purchase a used car that was about a year or two old. I went to Mark Christopher to have a look at what options were available. We found something that my wife and I really liked. The salesman said he could get us into the car for no money down; we said we were interested. After running our reports (which were both 730+) suddenly everything changed. We were brought into a different area of the offices where the financing manager (not sure if that was his title) started asking how much we could put down. I explained that we were told that we could get the car for no money down. At that point he turned into the most despicable and disgusting con man I ever met. Condescendingly, he said, that if we didn't have anything to put down now. We could give him a post dated-check for week later. I told him no. He said we could give him two checks one for a week later and another for two weeks after that. He was treating us like we were desperate for a car and had no other options. Like he was doing us a huge favor by selling us this car. We got up and left immediately. About an hour later I received a phone call from the sales manager. I explained to him what transpired. He apologized and asked us to come back, stating that we wouldn't have to see that "gentleman again. I told him there was no way I was ever coming back and he promptly hung up. In short, it was the worst experience I have ever had anywhere as a customer. Never had I been so talked down to and insulted. read more

Came to buy a 2015 Camaro 1/2LT... Walked around the entire lot for 15 minutes just to find the Camaros. Found the Camaros which were all dirty but whatever they're doing construction so I get it but for 45 minutes I browsed the Camaros taking pictures and notes on them to try and understand the difference and nobody and I repeat nobody offered me assistance... Finally I walked in the showroom and still nobody greeted me or offered me assistance so I found someone and asked for assistance and she was clearly too into her (white phone) to really care... I asked for a Camaro Book/Flyer and she asked someone in the back and came back and told me they had none but to go online... Online??? Are you serious? A car dealership doesn't even have car flyers for brand new car... I'm taking my business elsewhere... This is my second complain with this horrible place... read more
