    Hoodadak chicken sampler
    Ann C.

This H Mart food court is the place to be in Katy Asia town! Perfect for groups or people who like to sample lots of different cuisines, it includes: Hoodadak: Korean fried chicken and fries. Really good waffle fries with generous bulgolgi. I liked the chicken sampler: 8 pieces with kimchi fries for $14. You can pick 4 sauces for the 8 pieces. Loved the honey sauce and the soy garlic. Super juicy and crispy skin! Oh My Gogi: Korean Mexican fusion. Quesadillas, tacos, and fries. Jang Guem Tofu and BBQ: a popular standalone restaurant for standard Korean dishes including seafood pancake, bibimbap, seafood and tofu soups. I like their bibimbap a lot. Chef Han: Chinese food. I like their jiajiang mien here. Huge portions! Crab Ave: haven't eaten here yet but it seems to be a seafood based meal place. Fried rice, noodles, etc. Donkey Yaki: comfort Japanese food. Love their potato croquettes and cheesy katsu dish. The side salads are really well dressed, generously portioned, and the dressing is so good. One of my faves. Don't forget to pop by the H Mart seafood section for some sashimi to complement your meal! It's all self service. Water cups can be asked for from each restaurant and there is a cooler near Jang Guem. Bus your table after by bringing your tray to the original restaurant. Bathrooms are in the corner.

You can see their happy hour menu on their website. Greg (the bartender) is the absolute best! It was like he read my mind and brought me a drink right when I was going to ask for one on multiple occasions. This place is so spacious with plenty of seating! There's even the "Roxy Room" upstairs which you can rent out for any private events. For the food, you order at one of the food stands that you like and receive a text when it's ready to get picked up. I was so torn inbetween all the options that were presented to me, but decided to go with Blk Mkt Birria. Their birria tacos were great! There was something slightly spicy about them (maybe the tortilla since it was a literal red color?) so if you are SUPER sensitive to spice I wouldnt order these. They did have limited edition Birria Tamales which I just HAD to try. Honestly they were just a tad bit dry on their own but drenching it in the Birria consommé (which is what the consommé was meant for) it was great! I need to come back here to try all the other food vendors! I already know the bar is a vibe so I gotta see if each genre of food will have my mind blown :) Next time I come, I do wanna try Mad Dogs, the Pita-Ria, Seoulside, Bird Haus, or Cvche. But I only have one stomach so I think it'll take multiple times coming here to try all the food I want, but it's ok it's totally worth!

It comes in 3s so plenty of food. Also ordered a side of guacamole. I was stuffed by the end. Did not have room of dessert. Would go back to try the other food stalls. Nice ambiance with music playing in the background.

Underground Hall, like its name suggests, is a subterranean food hall in downton Houston. They have a burger stall, a taco stall, a chicken stall, an Asian BBQ fusion stall, an icea cream stall, dessert stall upstairs, and a full bar. I ordered Birria Tacos, while also sampling hot chicken mac n cheese fries, and brisket eggrolls thanks to what everyone else ordered. Everything was delicious. The bar offers $1 champagne shots and has a solid happy hour outside of their already pretty good regular prices. My only negative was the bathrooms. Tons of graffiti, smell, and in general needed some serious clean up love, but it didn't ruin the overall visit. Just a heads up. If you or your group can't decide on where to go, go everywhere at the Underground Hall!

This is not your fancy sit down restaurant but their food will make you trade them for any of your fancy favorites. I had the pleasure of trying their Putlam Biryani - not the best photograph but it definitely has the best taste for a biryani I've ever had in North America. Service was great for the type of establishment and the staff is friendly. Our experience was with a takeout so I'd reserve my review of their service and ambiance for next time - which sure is happening soon!!

This is like a Walmart of Indian stuff and its competitively priced, definitely a good stop. From pooja articles, to Indian sweets along with pastries like Irish Coffee Cake, honey cake( yumm), bread pudding, rabdi , samosas, mirchi bajji, Gobi Manchurian, dal vadas, and ofcourse the off the stove stuff like dosas, idlis and a whole array of entrees. You simply cannot walk out of the store without stuffing your mouth or some carry-out bags with their food. Service is fast and friendly. The table service and cleanliness is quite good but I do have an issue with the smell at the well concealed huge garbage bin by the door entering the food service area. For me, its a turn off. I hope they do something about it. I am given to understand that the Indian savory snacks are made fresh everyday. And their Irani chai is a must try ( Irani chai in an Indian store! yes, you heard it right, but that's part of historical lesson which I don't seem to recollect) A Indian place worth trying out.

There was a $10 special for red beans and rice with a piece of fried fish; the red beans were amazing, and the fish was fried to perfection. While waiting on our food, We went over to the food court for drinks. The server was extremely nice, it was nice and cool in the Shack, and I was able to step in to get a better look at the coolers to pick out my drinks. I ended up getting a blue raspberry lemonade with a buzz ball to top it off. The 24-ounce cups are pretty big, so they're definitely worth the cost. The server was also kind enough to add lemon juice at my request for a more tart flavor. Amazing lemonade, and overall, a very pleasant experience!
