Yogurt Square is fun, it's fast, it is as healthy as you desire (Blackberries, Strawberries...) or as unhealthy as you crave (Oreos, Brownie bits, Caramel) Make it like me, in reverse- put the toppings in the little cup first, then select the flavor: They have healthy Unsweetened Greek Yogurt but I know you are looking at Red Velvet Cake Batter... It isn't a one-size fits all serving so you can indulge luxuriously or pat yourself on the back for enviable restraint. It helps to put the toppings in first- that way you stick to your goal and don't have to be rolled off the premises like Violet "Blueberry" Beauregard. Ice Cream makes me sick, but I can have a couple blissful bites of frozen yogurt and Boyfriend will indulge in the rest. It's a good system, a sweet treat and a great little summer date. The days of "one flavor per day" at Chicago yogurt shops is OVER. Twelve different flavors on tap at all times? Yes, please! Yogurt Square's space is huge, but it's a fairly cold environment. There's not a lot of decor, color, flair or anything interesting to see. If you're a big "atmosphere" person, you may be a little disappointed. I was super excited to see all the flavors. Everything from Alpine Vanilla to Cake Batter, to Coconut to Mixed Berry was offered and the best part was that the nutrition information was posted right on the yogurt dispensing machine. Also included was whether or not the yogurt was more of the tart, icy blend like Starfruit or the creamier version like Red Mango. There was really something for everyone. There's also a little salad bar of toppings for your yogurt. Despite having no Heath nor Fruity Pebbles, there's all the basics like fresh fruit, moshi, nuts, candies, sprinkles, cookies, etc. Since Yogurt Square is self-serve, so you pay based on weight. I too am glad that they are finally open and as long as the weather stays above freezing I will be stopping by often for a guilt-free treat. I've been here before and it's a nice place for froyo. Cute chairs and it's colorful. The only problem I had was the woman working here. She seemed unfriendly and she got my change wrong. I gave her 20.16 because I was charged 4.16 expecting $16 back, but she gave me 15.96 back and said I gave her only 12 cents. They have tons of flavor and topping options and a lot of seating, both indoor and outdoor on their patio that rivals plenty of the bars & restaurants in the area. I've been wanting to try this yogurt place for a while. I love the Lincoln Square neighborhood so I go there often. Good variety of yogurt and toppings. I tried the peanut butter and caramel turtle yogurt with Reece's pieces & brownie toppings. It was pretty good. My friend tries the cake batter and enjoyed it. I would probably try that one next. I like that they offer weightless dividers so you can try more than one flavor. They have a lot of seats so you will find a place I sit most of the time. This place is great! The BF and I met up with some friends on a nice sunny Sunday and decided to stop in for some froyo before hitting the park. First off, they offer a divider for your cup so you can get TWO flavors and they wont mix - genius. Secondly, I like how they tell you calories/fat/sugar for each frozen yogurt. I went with the Irish Mint and the Cookies and Cream and both were delish. I sampled the BF's cake batter and that was good too as was the cappuccino. They have a nice seating area outside so we were able to sit and enjoy the yogurt for a bit before heading off. I would definitely recommend this spot - I know I will be hitting it up again. Yogurt Square is my go-to in the summer. They have the best yogurt I've ever had. The customer service is quite excellent. When they give you a taster's cup they smile at you. They always say thank you and have a good day. Sometimes they hand out cards so you get a buck off your next visit. The flavors are supreme and the toppings are quite nice. I go there often with my kid, as he enjoys the frozen yogurt. It is a hit or miss, some flavors are better than others, depending on the day. The workers are changing a lot, it looks like there are new faces every month. But ... my problem is with the single-use plastic spoons. It's such a waste, they are used five minutes then thrown in the garbage. We told the workers (not the management) about finding biodegradable alternatives to these plastic spoons. Tracking down sample cups seemed extra difficult and the cashier (I'm guessing the owner's teenage daughter) had the "ugh this job sucks, I can't believe I have to be here" expression the entire time. One benefit of this place is the late hours. Everything else? Just kinda... meh. The yogurt flavors are decent and the toppings seem pretty standard for any average frozen yogurt place. However, when I asked the lady behind the counter for some sample cups, she gave me only one the size of a thimble. Yogurt Square is finally open! After walking by it every day for what it seems like a long time, they opened their doors for business today. Great addition to the neighborhood. Self serve yogurt is definitely different enough to Paciugo that it does not seem repetitive. Today they had approximately ten different types of yogurt available. Not a lot of guidance, but the process seems pretty self explanatory. Grab your BIG cup and put whatever kind, or kinds, of yogurt you want in it. Then add whatever toppings you like and they will weigh it for you. Price is $.45 per ounce. That doesn't really tell you much, since who really knows how many ounces are in a regular portion. This is the one thing that I am not completely sold on. You really have no idea how much your recently made yogurt creation is going to cost you until you are ready to pay for it. I made what I thought was a pretty small portion (or maybe it just looked small because of the huge cup) with a little bit of pistachio yogurt and some strawberry kiwi yogurt. Added a couple of blueberries and strawberry pieces for my son. Came out to $2.60. Not terrible, but not super cheap either. Somewhat comparable to the prices at Paciugo. Both yogurts were very nice. Definitely felt less guilty eating the yogurt than eating a small cup of gelato. Will definitely be stopping by again! read more

Yum! Went here last night for the first time with a friend who is a regular. There was a great selection of self-serve froyo, and more toppings than you knew existed. For under $5, I got peanut butter froyo with cookie dough chunks AND mango froyo with coconut and strawberry juice balls on top. You pay by weight.
