What's not to love about a family owned breakfast and lunch spot that serves up consistently good food with a great atmosphere. I'll start with our usual waitress Jackie; she is your prototypical north easterner. She is so funny and always makes the experience better. The food is awesome. Especially the Gyros. The burgers are great as well. Awesome little spot that is a favorite for many locals and regulars. If you are in town, check them out.

This is a super cute diner! We were seated immediately and our server was quick and attentive. The food was SO good. The hash browns were our favorite; totally crispy on the outside but not overdone. It's always a bonus when you can get gyro meat for breakfast too.

Super classic dive diner with a local groove. I'm not sure the history of this place but I'm pretty confident it's been around for a good spot of time. We sat outside which was nice and the menu is pretty standard breakfast food, which is perfectly alright. I got french toast with a blueberry drizzle, but they brought me fresh blueberries instead so our waitress made sure to get me the drizzle as well and I just got to have both, it was awesome. It wasn't crazy good food but it was good and I'd for sure come back again. The coffee was actually decent too. Cute place!

Marko's was about a 35 minute drive but on a perfect Saturday morning, why not??? From the outside it has a retro diner feel and some cute outdoor tables with umbrellas perfect for a leisurely breakfast. The interior has black and white checkerboard flooring and a lot of three Stooges memorabilia. Now we sit down and immediately are greeted by our server with piping hot coffee and ice cold waters. The menu is vast with numerous lunch and breakfast specials, omelettes, skillets , house specialty pancakes, burgers , lots of choices. My western omelette was delicious, the veggies were finely sliced, the omelette was fluffy and the cheese was melted to perfection. The meal, the service, the atmosphere was great. A local place with a home town feel , busy, but not loud so you could actually carry on a conversation. First time here, and I loved it... Two people eat a full breakfast with beverages , for 30.00... Was it worth the drive??? Absolutely.... If you have some extra time on a Saturday and want a home cooked meal, look no further than Marko's Diner.

We drove 25 minutes to try this local joint just based on the reviews. In summary, it was just below ok. We arrived at 11:30 AM, which isn't quite breakfast but not quite lunch. It felt like (and tasted like) breakfast was cooked at 6 AM and when ordered, it was heated up to a luke warm and served to patrons. I ordered the biscuit and gravy scramble and my husband got the French toast. Biscuits were great, hashbrowns were undercooked with way too many onions, and gravy lacked flavor and substance. My husband's bacon (ordered extra crispy), was cold and limp. French toast was disappointing and bland. Eggs ordered over medium were most definitely over easy. Corn beef hash (also ordered well done), was cold and soggy. Wait staff was ok - nothing to go write home about. Cleanliness was borderline - we love "greasy spoon and diners," but this place felt a little too greasy for my liking. read more

Good solid breakfast. Bacon a little disappointing but enjoyed the old fashioned atmosphere with comfortable booths and interesting pics of old celebrities on the walls. Good service and overall very clean. Three percent charge for card purchases but you can use cash to avoid that. read more

Sweet little diner located right off San Carlos 4 miles from the beach. Looks like they only serve breakfast and lunch. We decided to stop in and give their breakfast menu I shot. We are big Gyro fans so it was nice that several of their items had Gyro meat in them which I found to be interesting. The breakfast menu was huge and had several different options as you can see from the pictures I posted. We chose to eat outside in a nice little covered area but I did venture inside to use the bathroom and it was a neat little retro style with checkered floors. The jacks skillet was a very large portion of food. Plenty enough to share with someone else. The Gyro meat in the skillet was pretty tasty and a nice change up from your normal breakfast meat. The prices are average for most breakfast places and our servers were very polite and patient. With it being our first time, and several things on the menu we were unfamiliar with, we had a few questions to ask before ordering. I would definitely make a return trip but use something a little lighter before heading to the beach. read more

Excellent breakfast! Love the old Florida diner , this is a stand alone rustic building. Parking lot was full and inside was full of people enjoying their breakfast. My daughter picked this one out and I'm glad she did. The feta cheese omelette I ordered was very good. My mini me lived her big plate of pancakes (I long for the days that I could sit down and eat a plate of pancakes ).. the servers were efficient and they looked like the type that weren't going to take any guff off anyone. Great spot lots of options to choose from. read more

Been in town a couple of days and well, been here for breakfast a couple of times. Super fast and great tasting. I mean, I barely finish stirring my sugar into my coffee and my plate is right in front of me. Did biscuits and gravy one day, then corn beef hash over hash browns the next. Both great, but the hash was fantastic. Not only is the food and service great, but price wise it leaves you plenty in your pocket to pay for beach parking. read more

We love this diner! It's a truly family run restaurant. Mom, dad, kids and in-laws all work there. The last few times we have had Jennifer as our server; she is warm and hospitable! The pancakes are the best in town. They are made every day by Anna ( momma) and Marko. Every now and then they let Esa make them. I have lived here my whole life and I cannot believe that I have never tried Markos until earlier this year. We have gone back many times. Delicious doesn't begin to describe it. I had the crazy omelet made with egg whites and it was so very tasty. Coffee ground fresh daily. Tammy is a super kind and attentive waitress. This is MY favorite diner to come to!!! Since moving to SWFL 2 years ago I have been in search of that comfort food feeling from diner that I haven't had since moving from New Jersey. Bingo!!! Found it right here literally down the street from my apartment on McGregor ave. Today i came here for breakfast & I was indecisive after looking at the menu, I didn't want just one thing so I ordered 3 eggs w/ sausages patties, toast n hash browns! Here's the kicker, it didn't stop there... I also ordered 3 pancakes w/ OJ!!!!! The food was So Fresh & Good that I didn't even leave any left!! Nothing special, breakfast in a can. Can I at least get food over 140 degrees lol $6.50 for cold "famous biscuits" is the joke. This particular diner had something else I was interested in, a robot food runner. My breakfast of choice was their Meat Lover's Omelet, an omelet that had cheddar cheese, cubes of ham, some ground sausage, and included in there someplace were little pieces of bacon. As far as omelets go, this one was average, nothing out of the ordinary. They didn't have their Home Fries, so my side was hash browns, which are almost designed to be uniformly average. 41 Diner has a definite diner look from the outside, inside didn't have neon or chrome but it's a large comfortable place not unlike a favorite diner. It was almost empty when I stopped in. My service was great and the food didn't take long at all to arrive. As for the robot, I didn't get to see it in action. Because they weren't really busy and I was a single diner i.e. not many plates to bring to my table, my food was delivered normally. At the end of my meal I did ask about the robot and learned they do use it. They can load it up and have it go to any table. The server will transfer the dishes to the table and send the robot back to wherever it hangs out. She told me it was very helpful and even offered to demo it for me. Here is an old school diner with point of sale checkout machines and a robot. Cool.

Super classic dive diner with a local groove. I'm not sure the history of this place but I'm pretty confident it's been around for a good spot of time. We sat outside which was nice and the menu is pretty standard breakfast food, which is perfectly alright. I got french toast with a blueberry drizzle, but they brought me fresh blueberries instead so our waitress made sure to get me the drizzle as well and I just got to have both, it was awesome. It wasn't crazy good food but it was good and I'd for sure come back again. The coffee was actually decent too. Cute place! read more
