This place was kind of pricey, but it was very good. I had a Greek sampler plate so I could try a bunch of things, but it was way too much food for me to eat so this would be good to share half the plate with someone else, my husband had an eggplant dish that he really liked and we brought leftovers back to our campground because we were in Crescent city just for the day checking out the beautiful town. I wouldn't call this place very economical, but I would say it's very tasty. The restaurant is situated in a mall situation near a grocery store so it's not in a fancy area so the outside is not going to be you know a fancy place to take people for the price. Again, if there was a few smaller plates with a little bit less of a price, I think that would be beneficial for tourists who just need something light . read more

Ate here twice while in Crescent City. The first night we went Greek having the Moussaka and Gyro. Both were good and I liked that the Moussaka held its shape and wasn't too saucy. We really enjoyed it and the roasted potatoes were cooked perfectly. The next night we had shrimp Alfredo. The serving was huge--we should have shared. It too was tasty, but overall we preferred the Greek dishes. Both meals came with soup or salad. The salad was nice but the tomato soup tasted a little too smoked for me. We also tried the baklava which was good but did have a strong cinnamon flavor. Service was great! Would return. read more

Marlo's Restaurant is very easy to get to with solid food. Good Greek food in Crescent City? Sign me up! I was staying in town briefly before Thanksgiving on a hiking trip and found this gem here on Yelp. It was take-out only when I was around, and they were getting ready for many holiday orders. They very nicely took my order when I arrived and then waited in my car for just a few minutes. When open inside there is a lovely dining area. I had my usual falafel wrap with tasty crispy falafel balls. The pita was perfect and warm, but a bit too much sauce, and tomatoes and cucumbers with some lettuce had a good crunch. The fries were also nice and crispy. I particularly appreciated that they let me buy some of their baklava, as it was really just for the Thanksgiving orders. It was beyond delicious, with huge chunks of walnut and flaky filo. It really was special, I ended up stranded with a blown out tire in the middle of nowhere on the way home and really appreciated this treat while trying not to freak out. The soups are packed full of flavor. The tortellini with steak and goat cheese is outstanding. The carbonara is very good as well the bread they give you with the food. Hands down, the best meal I've had in Crescent City! I had the Greek Kabob Platter with wild rice and a regular salad with Greek dressing. Both the chicken and steak kabob were perfectly seasoned and grilled! They were both so tender, juicy, and delicious! The wild rice was excellent too! A real WILD rice blend, and the Greek dressing on my salad was divine! I come from an area (Pittsburgh PA and Philly) where we have a wonderful range of traditional restaurants, with some great Mediterranean and Italian food etc. Never though I'd find that quality in Northern CA!!!! We went in as a couple and were greeted by our server. It was about 3:15 and we were hungry. My man chose the special and I had the Greek salad with a skewer of beef on top and dressing on the side with a coffee as my drink. They had music playing which was fine, but no real ambiance to the place. I did not like the desert samples sitting out as you walk by the counter. Were they real or fake? Uncovered for sure. I made the mistake of sitting by the window with the flashing lights! When my coffee arrived, I was expecting something bold. What I got was quite the opposite. My salad was fine and the protein was ok. My man's meal looked good, but he said it was bland. He had broccoli soup which was watery, and salty cause I tasted it as well. I did like the bread his meal came with and wished my salad had come with it. One thing I can't complain about was the server. He was very attentive! The big question is would we go back? We both said no. The last thing that was a turn off was when I used the rest room. There is a vented fan above the toilet that should be white. The slits on two sides were completely black! I am brutally honest about what my senses take in. I would say try it once like we did. You may have a totally different experience. We were on a looooong waiting list for the Chart Room, probably the most popular restaurant in Crescent City, and started looking around for other options. This place popped up on the app and seemed promising, so we decided to give them a try. Located further out of the main area of town, they had plenty of tables available when we got there. I had the seafood linguine (gotta have the seafood), and the hubby had the Greek Sampler. Crescent City is not geared for fine dining, but we discovered Marlo's. The entire meal was far above our expectation. FRESH Greek salad, 16 oz. T-bone, and scampi were as perfect as could be. Traveling through Crescent City on our way down the coast, stopped for a late lunch/early dinner at Marlo's with my dad and my young daughter. We were a little apprehensive because we're from out of town and trying a new place with no real knowledge is always a gamble. To our surprise, we had one of the most delicious meals we've had in a long time. My dad, a chef himself and Sicilian from New Orleans and a restaurant owner, is very tough to please and he nearly licked his plate clean, saying it was quite possibly the best shrimp scampi he's ever had in his life. The creamy fettuccine was so deliciously light and creamy and so flavorful. My daughter loved her spaghetti and meatballs, even asking for another side of meatballs! I ate until my stomach hurt and I have zero regrets! The restaurant is sparkling clean, even the bathrooms, and the ambiance was lovely and calm- the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal! Our server was lovely as well- incredibly attentive without being obtrusive, and very kind and polite! 10/10 would recommend! And if you live in Crescent City I envy your ability to eat at Marlo's anytime you want! Sorry for the lack of photos! I wish I'd had the forethought to take photos of our food, but I didn't plan on leaving a review until I'd tasted my food and by that point I went into a bit of a trance till my plate was empty. Above and beyond catering!!!! We got married in crescent city and had Marlo's cater our 14 person reception. Their catering coordinator Lorian was so fantastic, communicative, and helpful. Every single food item was delicious. We had two types of salad, the prime rib, chicken piccata, bistro steak, and so on. Marlo's was able to accommodate both a vegetarian and gluten free guest! The service was top tier, the food arrived exactly on time and they helped set everything up. The tuxedo cake was my absolute favorite. Also the prices are more than fair! It was such a relief to find such a reliable vendor while planning the wedding. I would absolutely recommend to a friend/stranger, 10/10. read more

On a road trip to the Redwoods and found this place while looking for a spot for takeout that was taking COVID seriously (some spots seem sketchy in this town). Not here! I wish I had something good to say. 74.00 for 4 gyros with feta. Too much sour tatziki and feta. You couldn't taste anything else. Probably a way to cover up the soggy veggies. The meat was hard and dry. The fries were hard because they were so old! The only thing freshly prepared was the side of fried zucchini, and it was edible but not particularly good. A hard pass. All 4 of us agreed. No one ate more than a few bites! read more
