Very clean aesthetic! Husband and i loved the atmosphere here. We arrived about 50 minutes before they closed in between lunch and dinner service, and were able to get out food and eat about 1/2 of each of the pizzas with 10 more minutes until they closed. It seems pricey when you think about how you can go to dominos or Pizza Hut and get a large pizza for about the same cost, BUT the ingredients are so high quality that it's worth it! I haven't had sourdough pizza in forever. I don't remember ever having a sourdough pie since moving to Hawaii 3+ years ago. We had some leftovers that we reheated in our air fryer to re-crisp up, and 2 minutes was the golden spot, and it still tasted amazing! This is probably the last time we're up in the area before our baby comes, and the last dine-in experience we'll have for a while. We're so glad we came here to check it out and that this is what we decided to do as our last dine-in experience until there's 3 of us! We started off with the meatball appetizer which was phenomenal. The slice of bread and the sauce incredible. We had a margarita pizza and a zucchini pizza and I cannot tell you how amazing the taste was, you need to try it for yourself. I'm happy Marlow has opened Up-Country Maui as we need more places to eat. Marlow has a nice ambiance. we arrived at 5:45 on a Friday eve and got a table right away ( I've heard stories of long wait siting in the brewery next door for a table.. nice to have that option though) We sat outside and had the view of Haleakalā. Although outside is close to the street it was still pleasant & it felt semi-pvt. The staff were very nice and gracious. Food and drinks arrived timely. The pizza was good but is the size of a large dinner plate ( enough for 2 people) The half chicken was tender. Place is pricy Make sure to sit outside if you can. read more

Have eaten there before and food is good but I'm so unhappy.. there is literally 10 people working tonight.. and like three tables with people eating.. I live in Haiku, drive 25 minutes to get some food.. walk in the door it's 8:32pm.. I ask to be seated at a table.. and the hostess waits for a minute then says "I'm sorry our last seating was 8:30" Literally their Hours say they're open to 9pm as does their website ... I'm a party of 1... so like fast.. but they make me leave. And No I don't want to "order to go" probably the last time I go there. If they don't want business they're doing great! read more

We were here during a visit to Maui in 8/2023. We were staying in Kaanapali and drove out to this area to do the pineapple farm tour. Afterwards we were looking for a lunch spot before hiking nearby and found this gem. As a family we are very into pizza and have eaten a lot over the years. This place is by far the best pizza we have ever had and we have eaten pizza in LA, NYC, and Italy. Everything from the service, food, ambiance was spectacular. It is all wood fired and their dough is amazing. We hope to visit this place the next time we visit. read more

Don't order pick up, You never get all that you ordered. Best part is they don't give a damn. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and the pepperoni was so hot we couldn't eat it. If you want excellent pizza go to the Maui Pizza Truck, across from Marlow's. Better and more consistent pizza and less expensive too If you want go feel like you're in LA...go to Wake up Marlow's. I was honestly so excited to try this place, the food looked amazing online! But, we had a totally different experience :( When we first got there nobody talked to us or helped us put our names on the waitlist for approx 10 minutes. She then quoted us 30 minutes (not bad) but another lady came up and said it would be at least an hour so we waited outside and gave our phone number just in case a table opened up sooner. Because of the wait we checked if we could just order takeout online but it said "unavailable for takeout" and their phones were disconnected or off. About 30 min later we went inside to check on our table because a lot of new parties were getting seated before us, nobody helped us and our name was no longer on the waitlist. After about 20 minutes we finally got help and the hostess blamed us for "giving the wrong number" so she gave away our table but it was the correct number when she took it(?!) We finally got seated and the service was super slow we were already ready to order our food but it took at least another 20 minutes to even put in our order. The only reason this got 2 stars is because our server was really friendly and the meatball was good. When we got our pizzas, they were cold and soggy on top but entirely black on the bottom. The top was so soggy that as soon as you pick up one slice half of the toppings fell off. Unfortunately not worth it but maybe they had an off night :/ read more

This is a new place and was excited to come eat there . Since it's a new place I will give it a break . We Walked in , no reservations . No one greeted us , no eye contact. finally a young woman came , put us on a waiting list for 20 min . No problems. A couple ahead of us waited 45 min , they left and were not happy . We decided to wait it out and to be patient . The menu sounds Delicious and good wine selection ... we already picked our bottle of wine and pizza to go with it ... 30 minutes went by , no one came to us ... finally a young man told us another 10 min , which turned to 20 ... we left . they need to have better customers services and communication in front of the house . We might giving it a chance in the future but didn't look good as of now . read more

I really wanted to like this place. They do make a good crust but the selection is pretty limited, and for the prices they're charging I think the pizzas should dazzle me. Very expensive, not very tasty. In my experiences the service was fine, but the dining area is very loud and bright--2 things that don't work well for me in a dining environment. We love going to Marlow!! There was something for everyone in our family! We had young children as well as discerning adults and everyone was happy! The menu included Italian sodas and margherita pizza for the kids as well as Portuguese white wine, fungi pizza and a new one with persimmon! Wow! Since I live Upcountry, I was really excited to see Marlow open. I absolutely crave their funghi pizzas. I can't get enough of the sourdough crust and the smooth, creamy flavors of the toppings. Really good stuff. I'm also a huge fan of their meatballs, which manage to be savory, light and fluffy all at the same time. Yes, their prices may be higher than other spots on Maui. Dinner at Marlow is a treat for us. That said, their ingredients are top notch, and I'd rather pay a little more to ensure they can stick around and pay their staff a living wage on Maui. My sister and I have been so excited to try this place out! We heard it was good, we called ahead to see if they took reservations to prepare but heads up it's walk in basis. We placed our name down, took 1 1/2hr to be seated on a Monday night. Hostess was sweet she was working hard to work everyone in but the problem is they need more staff. I only saw 2 servers they both were stressed and couldn't keep up. Took another hour to get our food, which by then of course everything tasted good haha. Great wine menu , margarita pizza and meatballs were our favorite. One of our pizzas came out undercooked and soggy but ... we were Starving! By the time we left just didn't seem worth if for the the amount of time spent waiting... I want to give this place another chance but we'll see. read more

Today for lunch we ordered a pepperoni & olive pizza. As a "craft" pizza, it was VERY good & the crust was as just as desirable as the rest! (very important IMO) The 2 things that resulted in 4 stars was that they don't take walk in orders to go. You have to order online & adding mushrooms cost $8! (I love mushrooms on my pizza! Olives were only $2) Marlo's staff really make this place! They've always been great & you can see the "light" in their eyes! Well done. read more

Great service and food love the Pizza for our family.

We have gone here several times and initially found it to be very hit and miss. The interior is very loud, as they didn't install sound buffering, which I find a little jarring. We usually sit outside. The tables outside have a large umbrella in them which blocks your view of the person you are sitting with and makes it a bit awkward to share pizza, still- it's typically more pleasant to sit outside for us unless we go early. The pizza has been very hit and miss, although last time we went the crust was cooked perfectly. Many times before it was soggy or even raw in the middle. The service is also hit and miss. One time my husband asked for hot water as we were sitting outside and our waitress told us she couldn't do hot water (it's also an espresso place, so this seemed weird). Another time a waitress dropped my spoon and said "let me get you another one." She never came back and after 10 min I walked to the front and asked for one from the host. Today I was doing my taxes and saw Marlow DOUBLE CHARGED me for our last visit. This pizza is already 2x as expensive as what you might expect to pay, but we are rural in the upcountry so we take what we can get. Still, Marlow has left a bad taste in my mouths. Two charges- one for 118.52 and one for 118.53 same time, same day. Not cool, Marlow. I wish this business well in their growing pains but suggest you watch your bank card if you go here. read more

Delicious, my husband and I stopped here with the kiddos after the sunset on the volcano- we were hungry and this little place hit the spot! Service was excellent, all of the food was yummy. The portions are good sized and the produce was especially fresh, highly recommend the burrata cheese. There is no kids menu, which wasn't really an issue - but for parents of littles something to plan for. Every time we dine at Marlow, which is often, one of us will say "This is the best pizza we have ever had!" The other night we had the Prosciutto and added garlic confit. The sourdough pizza crust has been perfected and the flavors were delicious. The gnocchi is superb, like grandmas recipe or something. The cocktails are super fresh and yummy and the wine selection is well curated. The service is great, the ambiance is clean and modern. We love coming here for a date night. Such a chill vibe walking in. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and quality. The cocktails we had were very yummy too. The cost is definitely fair for the quality of the food that you get (which is a big deal for being on Maui and having a lot of restaurants that place emphasis on turning tables that are primarily tailored to tourists). I was excited to try this place and visited them the first Friday they were opened. The space was beautiful and online food pictures looked so delicious however really unfortunately food was below average. I would have given lower star just for the food but since they must still be working perfecting the rhythm and the space is obviously beautiful so giving average. Ordered meatball which wasn't hot, it was luke warm. Salad was way way over dressed and clunky. Pizza was undercooked in the center and was dougy. Not tasty. Actually bad. Had a beautiful crust and looked good but not worth the money at all. At least we didn't have to wait since we beat the dinner rush. The place was clean and nice to be able to see cooks in action. read more
