This place has really developed and is a fun date night, large party, friend group, or even single diner spot. Not only is the original Marty Bs a large concert venue and hangout spot attached to the main restaurant, but now on the same property there is a separate coffee shop and ice cream parlor too. This visit, there were 4 total in my party. I got the southern fried tamale cakes with green chili Mac and cheese and it was fantastic. Others in my party stuck with their signature street tacos and got brisket or pork. It was a dreary Saturday but they had the fire pit going out front and the rain did not keep folks away. Expect this place full on the weekends and anytime there is live music. The food and drinks offer many options and anyone is sure to find something up their alley.

Our first time visiting, we stopped in for an early lunch around 11:30 and were sat right away but it quickly filled up. Towards the end of the meal it was booming with everyone's conversation - it was very hard to hear my own conversation and the noise was overpowering. Our server was attentive and quick, very friendly and welcoming. The onion rings were crisp and golden, not at all greasy. We ordered lunch specials, the brisket meatloaf with green beans and potatoes au gratin and the stuffed baked potato with brisket. It was SO delicious. Both had great portions, the potatoes au gratin were so creamy , and the brisket meatloaf had a great crust to it. The baked potato was HUGE I barely finished a third. We had leftovers to take. It seems like a really cool place with patio, fire pit and outdoor seating.

A gem tucked away somewhere near Lantana, Marty B's is Texas in every way. It's BBQ, it's Big. Craving wings one day, my search of Yelp led to Marty B's. Pleasantly surprised, Marty B's smoked wings were fuego!! The smoke profile was present yet still allowed the chicken to shine. A great thing I did was get the sauce on the side for dipping. Marty B's seasoning has a just a tad of a heat from the pepper used. Overall, great smoked wings. The ribs as folks say today -- tenderism! Were they just falling off the bone, no. Were they melting when you bit them, yup! We call that a good rib. Green beans were a no for me, too crunchy. Got the food to go, however staff were helpful. Order didn't take long either. Outside seating ample, perfect for gatherings.

We have been meaning to try Marty B's for a LONG time. My BBQ-loving in-laws were in town recently, making for a perfect excuse to go. It is a lively, fun atmosphere with a family friendly outdoor patio. There is plenty of parking. The service was great and the food delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of options on the menu. My in-laws loved their BBQ, and my husband and I loved our TexMex entrees. My husband and I noticed that their bar looks like the perfect place to catch a game, and the two of us will be back sooner than later.

We came here with our friends and our 2 year old. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and very country if you're looking for that- this is a spot for you. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was a dream, wonderful sandwich. We shared wings, fries and nachos at our table, all of which were great. I will say the portion size of nachos is enormous, not a problem but we ordered 2 plates of nachos for our table and it was way too much. We got the kids burger for my daughter, I usually cut it up for her and noticed it was quite charred on the bottom- almost burned. She enjoyed the fries and wouldn't have eaten much anyway so I considered it a wash. Service was friendly and quick although I would have appreciated a warning on the size of the nachos, we definitely over-spent as 1 plate would have been enough for us. All in all, I think this is a decent spot to enjoy dinner with friends and family for the atmosphere and main dishes.

A couple of friends chose this venue for lunch today, and talk about a unique experience!! The restaurant also features plenty of free parking, and they even have a corral if you decide to ride your horse to this restaurant.They have an expansive patio, and a large indoor dining room. The menu has a great selection of appetizers, entrees, handhelds, steaks, and of course various bbq smoked meats. Our server, Jared, was very welcoming and engaging. Throughout our whole lunch he was attentive without being intrusive. I chose the Fried Tamale cakes which are sweet corn griddle cakes topped with chicken tenders drizzled with honey mustard, Valentina hot sauce, and cinnamon butter, served with a side of green chile mac and cheese. It was exceptional!! The tenders were perfectlt fried, and the combination of sauces and cinnamon butter made the dish over the top delicious!! The mac cheese was super creamy, and the corn cakes were tasty!! Judging from what my friends ordered, I can defnitely recommend this eatery with two thumbs up!

The family was craving BBQ--so we hit up Marty B's, a massive restaurant complex featuring a BBQ joint, an ice cream shop, and a coffeehouse. Dinner lineup: - BBQ Brisket Nachos - Three Meat Platter --Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Brisket, with Au Gratin Potatoes and Green Chili Mac & Cheese - Two Meat Platter --Ribs and Smoked Turkey, with a House Salad and Mac & Cheese The food? On point! Meats were smoked to perfection--ribs fell right off the bone, while the brisket and pulled pork packed flavor and great texture. The Au Gratin Potatoes were excellent, though the Mac & Cheese missed the mark. Super creamy, but lacking in flavor with an off-texture on the noodles. And the service? Top-notch!!!!! The staff worked hard, were super welcoming, and made the whole experience even better with their friendliness and helpful attitude. Overall? A delicious meal, great atmosphere, and solid BBQ experience. Would definitely go back!

Marty B's - FM-407 & IT Neely Dr (Bartonville) This is a great wholesome family place, full of upbeat employees, music and the food is grown with ranchers who don't use hormones or antibiotics. I came here with my family to enjoy great company and relax. Overall food was great. I do think some portions are not priced well. One of the dishes we ordered was "Chargrilled Chicken Breast" - $18.99. The portion was small. You can tell they basically cut a chicken breast in half and spread it open to make it look like a big portion. Nonetheless, the dish was very delicious and I would still recommend it. I would price it at $14.99, based on portion size. We also ordered, "Brisket Tacos," "Marty B's Salad" and "Chicken Quarter with Brisket." My family overall enjoyed their meal and we would certainly return here. Our server was so kind and accommodating. She kept coming by and checking on us to make sure we were comfortable and had plenty of refills on our drinks. They also offer live music in their oversized covered patio area that can accommodate over 70 people. If you eat in the patio area, you have an option for a completely different menu list than eating inside. Towards the grand entrance, if you're patriotic, you'll love a Texas-Sized, American flag. To the left of the entrance, you will find a modern style fireplace and additional outdoor seating with tables. Parking can be tricky. Depending on when you get here, you can park right up front, or during busy times, keep circling around. They also offer additional parking lot across from them, next to 7-Eleven gas station.

These brisket enchiladas were delicious! I just fell in love with this place. Huge patio outdoor area and seating. Band area, heaters for cool nights, plenty of seating. You can even ride your horse up to the restaurant and there is an area you can tie them up while you enjoy your meal. Our waitress was very attentive and kept our drinks full with out asking. Everyone's food was so good. Definitely would take my family back here and recommend to anyone who wants a delicious meal.

I just ordered to go this time. It had been a while since I had been, it's nice that they have a separate building that handles to go orders. It can be pretty busy at the restaurant especially on weekends. I ordered the stuffed poblano that comes with smoked chicken. It was quite good, nice smoky flavor. It's a pretty big poblano I had planned to save left overs but it was good and I was hungry so I stuffed myself. I also got their street corn and asparagus as side dishes. Both were good, the asparagus was grilled and really good.

For just opening Marty B's is doing great. Food was excellent. Brisket queso was great. Smokey and delicious... Wife had the BBQ sand which and wouldn't share. I enjoyed the bone-in pork chop and it was cooked to perfection. Friendly service. Food came or hot and fast. Very kid friendly. We will have to come back for the s'mores over the fire pit. Def recommend. read more

Horrendously loud; we couldn't carry on a conversation (that's a common ploy to get customers to clear the table for the next guest). The staff was polite, but most in our group seemed to have problems with the accuracy of orders. I had to have mine corrected several times (e.g., I asked for corn tortillas and they brought me flour). It took a long time to get our food. Being in a large group, they charged us an automatic tip (even though I didn't see it listed on the menu) so we almost tipped twice -- thankfully, my wife saw it on the check. (Even though the restaurant had issues, we didn't blame our server. I blame management for not having enough staff.) I had fajitas; my wife had a baked potato. We had tea & Coke to drink, and our bill was $48.57 (prior to automatic gratuity). It was crowded (on a Thursday night), so apparently there are people who like to be overcharged and treated like cattle. We don't. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I won't be fooled again. read more

Every time I eat at Marty B's, I have a great time and eat very well. My go-to dish are the smoked chicken wings with the dry rub and a side of jalapeno ranch. Seriously, these are my favorite wings above all other places. Marty is one nice dude and you'll probably catch him stopping by your table to say "hi". Wait staff are all wonderful and attentive. We had a couple drinks when we got there. The atmosphere is good. They have TV's and a band was playing. They have a nice outdoor bar. We started with the loaded fries. They were very good. For my meal I got a ribeye. It might have been the best I've ever had. She had the burger. She said it was also very good. I have also heard from others how good the burgers were. That might be what I get next time if I can not get the ribeye again. We'll see. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Marty B himself even came by to see how everything was. Marty's is a great place to hang out - with a focus on any/all bbq items. I think the vast majority of their items are just good (hence 4 stars) but it has a great ambiance. Equaling out their ambiance is a long wait or issues with service. We go once a month and always enjoy our time there. read more

This gem offers a great upscale twist on the ole barbecue joint. It's easy to get to, there is ample parking, and even on busy nights there is rarely an excessively long wait. The menu is good, with good options, and the prices are decent. The food is tasty and the kitchen is accommodating on requests. This is a good family spot, and a nice business lunch spot, and is good for those adult nights out too. There are some definite bugs they need to work out, as a fairly new venue in the area, but I am excited to see how things progress for this new member of the community. read more

We LOVE this fabulous backyard restaurant! After a crazy busy opening things have finally settled down. AND thank you for FINALLY adding salmon to the all meat menu!!! As a vegan + seafood girl, I can finally feel comfortable going & eating! With that, we celebrated our daughters sweet 16 outside in a cabana. It was perfect! WOW is all I can say. I met some friends on Saturday at Marty B's to catch up and have dinner. Our waitress Marley, like the singer not the dog, lol, was AMAZING. She was very sweet and funny. Great food! Great entertainment! The wait to be seated can sometimes be a little long (mainly Friday and Saturday nights) but don't fret the outdoor space is amazing! Plenty to do and drink while you wait on your table! They have some awesome bands come through on the weekends making it the perfect spot for a date night! So our FIRST TIME at Marty B's and freaking MARTY B came to our table asking us how we liked everything??? Sooo cool to have the owner walking the floor meeting and greeting his customers. Now the food. AAAAMAZING. The brisket was seasoned better than any I've tasted. Prices SOOOOOOOO REASONABLE. I've paid more for worse. Entertainment a freaking AWESOME cover band. I MANAGE BANDS and I can tell you this group was tight. Atmosphere I was in a GOOD MOOD right when I got there. Lights, smiling staff, smiling patrons , jam packed parking lot. Kids roping. Corn Hole, outdoor patio furniture. Success. As a person who helps businesses find their true identity, Marty B's has found themselves I've only rated a few places 5 stars and I'm happy to add another. read more

Marty Bs is my favorite place in Denton county! The good is always great - my favorite thing is the jalapeño ranch dressing!! Lol the atmosphere is so fun, open, and Alive! Sometimes it's super busy, but it's worth the wait. Live music in the summer. Outdoor games and a firepit for s'mores. Something for everyone !! We have had a few birthday parties on the patio. So I'm here on September 4th at 7:30 at Marty Bs. Wonderful spot., live music, decent food., and semi decent people I say semi decent because as I'm seating here with a beautiful young woman.. trying to enjoy some food she notice that she's being videotaped by an elderly man who as I look up., is clearly taking a video or photos of the only thing in front of him., us. I look him in his eyes as he does it and he continues. My drinks that I ordered several minutes earlier., finally arrive and I ask the waiter to peep the scene of what's going on. He immediately states he will get a manager., whom I explain the entire situation to. The manager then goes to the table and does whatever he does or nothing at all and comes back over to my table and states that the boy over there works here and that he knows them and would never do anything like that... I say to the manager that that has nothing to do with me and that he can close me out because he obviously doesn't care about the well being of women or his customers. Terrible experience read more

First time here. The hostess said it would be 40-50 minutes, only took about 10 minutes. Ordered the NY Strip medium rare and it was perfect. Wife ordered the Filet medium and it too was perfect. Nice to find a place that seasons its steaks. Service was very fast for a Saturday night. Our server (Sam) was very polite and and genuinely seemed happy we were there. read more

Established in 2017.

Ever since Marty was a teenager learning the ropes in commercial kitchens decades ago, it's been his dream to create the establishment you stand in today. Inspired by family vacations in the Texas Hill Country, Marty made it his goal to share the warm, welcoming feelings and memorable moments he experienced there. He crafted each detail of the kitchen to ensure efficient, high quality service for his guests; serving delicious meals made with care and creativity. He chose the finest meats available from ranchers who never use hormones or antibiotics because they taste better and they're better for us. And he works with our staff to ensure a culture of hospitality and service is present in every detail.

We came during a very slow time around 2pm there were just 2 other tables in sight with a group of 8 servers standing and talking next to the computers. We waited about 15 minutes and when no one came to greet us i got the attention of a passing waitress. She looked annoyed that she was having to take care of a table that wasnt hers. She went and got the correct server and he was also in a bad mood like he wasnt happy to be there and make money.where are the managers while everyone is standing around not doing anything while a table is sitting left ungreeted. The service was so slow after all this with barely any tables you would expect fast service but he seemed to forget about us after her put our order in it was 30 minutes to get our food.nothing special about the food at all and way overpriced for what you get.marty the owner walked over to greet us and introduce himself but proceeded to pull up a chair to the side of our tiny 2 person booth sit down at our table and talk with us like we were old friends my husband and i kept looking at each other waiting for him to leave but he didnt get the hint until we literally started standing up and saying we were leaving now. it continued past the point of just greeting us and welcoming us it was very bizzarre...we didnt come to chat we came to have a quick bite but didnt get out of there for close to 2 hours...will not be going back.such a strangely run place. read more

Came here for the grand opening and wow this place was packed!! My husband and I originally came to to sit at a table, but while waiting for about a 10 minute wait we fell in love with the bar staff and stayed with them all night instead! It's the first night being open so obviously there was some kinks in the kitchen, but Maddie and Corey did and awesome job of making sure everything was top tier for us while we waited. Once our food arrived we were even more surprised of how flavorful it was. All the way down to the croutons on the salad was perfect. The food is the best in the zip code guaranteed and well priced for its quality. The bar staff is witty, with a perfect personality. 10/10 recommend and definitely going to be the new hot spot! Marty B for President! Okay, that might be taking it a bit far... My family and I are frequent visitors here and have never had a subpar experience. The Brisket Queso is a must and is ordered every time we go! I have had every side and was delighted that they finally added Mashed Potatoes to the menu. The Grilled Chicken, BBQ, Steaks and Tacos are well seasoned and delicious! The service has always been fast, friendly and Marty himself stops by the tables from time to time to say Thank you. You just cannot find that anywhere anymore. The atmosphere is cool and always clean! I was in the Restaurant and Bar business for 20 years and now Manage Properties, so I look at everything when I am out and about. The foods takes too much time. The kids working there are not even making miniumn wage and they should be reported to child labor laws. The waiters and waitresses are making $150- $300 a shift and the bus boys and food runners are making $2.15 per hour and receiving $20-$30 tips for 7+ hour shifts...wrong and shows the owners do not care about their employees. The managers and owners are well aware of this fact since they collect the pool from wait staff and then give tips to food runners and bus boys. Not an establishment anyone should support. We could care less about atmosphere or anything else but the way you treat employees says more about your establishment and owner than anything. Not to mention it is against the law these kids are not making minmium wage! read more

We love this place! It's such a great addition to the Bartonville/Lantana/Argyle area. We've been a couple of times since it opened. The first time was during their opening week. Service was a little slow and chaotic, but what else would you expect during their first week in business? Went a second time and it was a much better experience. Both times the food has been outstanding. Love the filet, green chile mac n cheese, BBQ plates, brisket queso, street corn....everything is fantastic! We've heard rumblings from neighbors in Lantana that the live music is too loud for the neighborhoods across the street, but it ends promptly at 10pm. Hasn't been a problem in our neighborhood so I can't complain. We'll be customers of Marty B's for years to come! read more

The atmosphere is lively and fun, with plenty of space for groups, and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. This place is usually extremely busy but we still manage to get a table if we come a little earlier than the normal 6 or 7. The food is pretty consistent and delicious! Loved the filet, another time the bbq plate, the brisket stuffed baked potato was filling so tasty my mouth waters thinking about! I am also a big fan of their house ranch that has a little kick to it and needs to be bottled! I could go on cuz I've had their burgers, tacos and strawberry salad! They have a great outdoor area, and a huge bar space upstairs. Super fun and great food & drinks! We highly recommend you check it out! read more

I heard so much about Marty B's.... well based in the 1 star I was very disappointed. Service was very poor waitress was too busy to check back after the food was delivered. I ordered the 16 ounce ribeye steak cooked "Medium ". See attached photo of raw steak... My wife ordered the pork-chop , see photo of raw meat. Side dishes were average to below average. My son ordered the hamburger and it was good. Seems like this place is more interested in the romper room outside with all the kids then actually serving quality food. read more

I adore this place! Fantastic experience all around. The atmosphere was relaxed and entertaining, the outdoor spaces are gorgeous. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was GREAT, I had the Texican Tamale Cake, Brisket Queso, and Ooey Gooey Toffee Treat and loved every bit of them all. The best part was that there are tons of things for the kids to do while the adults got to sit and talk, and took turns with the kids. I will definitely be back when I visit the area at Christmastime, and I will give those s'mores a try! read more

Feb 2021 Marty Bs barbecue continues to get better! I have gotten takeout here - with wine and beer - twice in the past week. Moist brisket was excellent, ribs great, salads and sides fantastic. The street corn is a must and I would suggest the green beans too. The staff bringing the food out is spot on. They check and recheck to make sure your order is right. They are also fast. I honestly think Marty has changed FloMo and HV for the best with all 3 of his restaurants. Keep Up the Great Food! And drinks! read more

My friend and I had a super friendly waiter (Mike) and the BBQ platter was amazing! The BBQ didn't need any of the house sauce, but it was a plus. We were both upset that we didn't order ribs for our two meat platter because they were falling off the bone good! I like this place because the patio is an easy atmosphere for kids, but I went here with a group of coworkers, and 2 of them didn't get their food with everyone else...for about 30 minutes before I left, they waited and waited. We kept reminding the server. It felt very awkward to be eating since I was on a tight schedule. Apparently, they finally got their food about 10 minutes after I left. That was not impressive. Sunday, 6 pm on the patio We had salmon and fajitas. The salmon was dry with way too much salt. The chicken for the fajitas was fresh.
