4.5 I've been seeing this all over the internet, so I decided to check what the hype was all about! This restaurant is located in a block plaza with plenty of parking, it is easy to spot. The interior is very homey and cozy. We were seated immediately since we went on a weekday. Service was relatively fast and nice! Now the food/ drink. Mango Lassi: I was not a big fan of it. It was very thick. I prefer more mango than yogurt so it was not up my alley. Spinach dip naan: this was super good! It was soft and I love the blend of the spinach and cheese. Also, the dipping sauce was unique. A bit creamy and sweet, just the way I like it. butter chicken: portion was super small, but the appetizer I ordered filled me up quick. Just this alone is very light tho. The chicken was soft. The sauce is a bit on the lighter side for me, but it was still good. Garlic naan: this was normal tasting, could use more garlic, but I preferred the spinach one. It was $50 after tax for all of this, for two people we felt pretty full with leftovers! I really liked the cheese nan more than the garlic nan but both were good. It was my first time trying a mango lassi and I really liked. It was creamy and you could really taste the mango. I don't get the hype around this place and people saying it's the best around the area. Taste wise, the chicken tika masala (6/10) definitely fall short compared to places like Curry and Kabab Bistro or Natraj. The spice isn't there, and there were no spicyness despite getting spicy. Portions were definitely on the smaller size. It's not justified $18 for less than 5 pieces of chicken and 3/4 of the curry sauce filled. Speaking of chicken, it was on the dryer side. Pairing with the dry rice made the meal too dry and unpleasant. The only thing that was decent was the garlic naan (9/10). It was flaky and great and honestly saved the meal. Honestly not a great restaurant in terms of taste, portion size, or price. I wouldn't come back given many other better indian restaurants around. read more

Lots of parking, large interior and clean! Service was straight forward and nice although it was hard to get a servers attention when we needed the bill/boxes to go. We really enjoyed the Spinch Naan, it's super creamy and flaky. The samosas were great as well although we expected them to have meat but they were all potato and peas. The chicken tikka masala was a miss for us. It took a really long time to come out, we ate all our soup, half of our spinach naan, and both of our samosas by the time the Tikka came out. It was extremely sweet and tomato-forward. Too sweet for us unfortunately. The chicken was also very dry and so was the rice. The rice was missing that light fluffy texture resulting in a firm and chalky texture which was highly unpleasant. We couldnt finish this and it was a very small portion. The mango lassi was good, a bit more tart than I would've wanted but still enjoyable. Overall a 3/5 star experience for us. read more

Ok... this was the BEST Indian/Nepali food we have ever had! So incredibly fresh and not greasy at all. We ordered a Mango Lassi which was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. It was thick and SO tasty. Nepali Mo Mo Dumplings were so flavorful and the dipping sauce was amazing. The Spinach Dip Naan was INSANELY GOOD. We would go back just for this. It's a must order!! The mango mint dipping sauce it comes with compliments the cheese and spinach to the naan perfectly. Nepali Chicken Curry with rice wasn't greasy at all, it tasted so fresh and not too creamy or heavy. The homemade Mango Chutney was the best I have ever had. It was the perfect sweet bite mixed with the spices in the other dishes we ordered. The Raita was thicker than I have had at other restaurants but the flavor was the perfect cooling bite. Homemade Coconut Kulfi was sweet, creamy and the perfect way to end our meal. Aside from the incredible food the staff was so kind and sweet. Every employee was happy to be working and they all had smiles on their faces. The owner Sal was such a nice guy. We really enjoyed chatting with him about how he decorated the restaurant with handpicked artwork from Nepal. I came here with my dad after seeing a couple videos on Instagram. We had the tandoori fish (my favorite), spinach dip naan (close second), paneer tikka masala, saag paneer, Chana masala, lentil/dal soup, veritable chili momo, pistachio kulfi, and mango lassi. Everything was so delicious, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. If you have to get any two things I highly recommend the tandoori fish and spinach dip naan. I cannot recommend their Momo and signature curry enough! Nepali Momo - 5/5, similar to dumplings but the momo sauce is EVERYTHING!!! You can really tell that the sauce is house made. Daal Soup - 5/5, excellent heart-warming soup for a cold day. The spices are so good, but this soup is easily outshined by the flavorful sauces and curries. I enjoyed it more the next day to-go versus with the rest of my meal. Vegetable Pakora - 3/5, the batter was not as crispy or lightly fried as I like my pakora to be. This restaurant is in a strip mall with a decent sized lot. Parking was readily available on Sunday for lunch during prime time between 11:00-1:00. The servers here were polite and efficient. We have eaten at numerous Indian restaurants across the country and around the world, and for what we ordered, this place is far more Nepalese-Himalayan than Indian. We got the saag paneer, chicken curry, and garlic naan. All were prepared in ways that are very different from the various variations of these and other dishes we have had at numerous other Indian places. All of the dishes were ok, but were so different from what we expected that we did not care for them that much. The spinach in the saag paneer was more like steamed, chopped, American spinach than Indian creamed spinach. The cubes of cheese in the saag paneer were more numerous than the spinach and were overwhelming. The flavor was just ok. On their 1-5 star spiciness scale, we got a 2 and it was not spicy at all for this dish. The curry chicken was also just ok. The chicken was ok and tender and not too fatty. However, the curry was too tomatoy and reminded us of Cambell's tomato soup or chef boyardee pasta. The spiciness was inconsistent because we got this dish at a 1 and it was almost too spicy for us compared to the 2 on the saag, which had no spice at all. The garlic naan was the thicker kind and you could see pieces of garlic on it, but could not smell or taste them. The naan was very chewy and was more like flavored pita bread that was just ok. To top it off, the people behind us were given complimentary dessert, but we were not offered any. Perhaps they ordered a lot more than we did, were regulars, or were more friendly with the servers. However, since we could clearly hear what was offered and we were not offered any, it made us feel bad. Overall, if you want Indian food, then the 4.8 star average Yelp rating is far too high. Perhaps the ratings are due to people wanting Nepalese-Himalayan food. If you want traditional Indian food, then there are far better restaurants through the Southern California area. read more
