Came here for lunch the other day, food was interesting. The tacos I had were very flavorful but the sangria was disappointing and gave a bad headache. The fish tacos were dry and bland. My friends enjoyed their burger, salmon and meatloaf well enough. Atmosphere was a little different, more employees working then patrons dining during the lunch rush.

Came to this location on a whim on a Friday afternoon. We were seated right away but our server let us know they were having an issue with someone seating people without telling the server so there was a bit of a wait before anyone took our drink or food orders. Our server apologized even though it wasnt a big deal and was super helpful. We tried the corn spinach dip and "avocado toast pizza". The corn spinach dip was 10/10 bomb.com but was served with some of the stalest chips known to man. The avo toast pizza was very strange. Would maybe rate it 4/10 on a good day. Its super thick and reminds me of cheese bread not toast or pizza (it has no red sauce). We both ate one slice and took the rest home (and its still sitting in the fridge ) Giving 4 stars for how friendly and helpful our server was and how good the spinach corn dip was - everything else was just okay and the vibe is definitely sports-bar-ish with many many tv's and is pretty loud. Not my scene, most of their cocktails seemed to have a "home town moonshine" theme and it was an interesting atmosphere for sure.

Dropped my Mash'd for the first time after workout out for the wings and my goodness!!! Upon arrival there was no wait but get there as early as possible as it was filling up fast! Upon sitting we' were greeted within minutes. The waitress was very patient with us as we browsed the menu and brought out waters without asking...nice touch! We originally went for wings but was told the wings were discontinued so we opted for the chicken thighs as a starter. I'm am SO glad they had those thighs. We ordered 8 and got 4 siracha garlic butter and 4 wicked hot flavor. They were amazing! They were juicy and surprisingly normal sized. And that was just a starter!!! We literally could've ordered a side and made a meal of it! For dinner I ordered the turkey burger and it was also pretty tasty. It was seasoned well and was also juicy. If you want a cool setting with bar seating and tvs this is your spot! It's family friendly and has a good mixed crowd. And let me add...the pizza looked amazing!!! There were several tables that ordered one so it's safe to say that's a popular item! The only issue we had was that we had to ask for ketchup on 4 separate occasions from 3 different employees outside of our waitress and by the time we received it we were wrapping up our dining. Other than that...we had a great dining experience! I'd definitely go back!

Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. They weren't extremely busy, which was a good thing. This place had a normal vibe to it though. But when I initially ordered, they said they were out of the fried pepperoni bites. So I was very disappointed, but the wait staff suggested the spinach & corn dip. I wasn't thinking it was going to be very good. But boy was I wrong. This dip was very good! The chips that came with it were also very good. A lot different than normal tortilla chips you get at Mexican food establishments. I highly recommend it. On top of that, we got the WTF tacos. These were also very good! Very good place, which in return I'll be back.

I've been wanting to try this place for so long because of the quantity of reviews. Disappointed. What we got: Spinach and corn dip, Bulgogi tacos, and The Bird. The Bird is a heavily breaded, thin piece of chicken sitting between two room-temperature buns. Bulgogi tacos were definitely interesting - not horrible, not great, but I really appreciated the heavy hand on veggies. We did really like the spinach and corn dip though. Environment: Very spacious area & our table was clean. Service: The server pretty much threw down our appetizer plates. Someone else's food was delivered to us, our food was delivered to the table next to us; the server was honestly probably just having a bad day, but thought it should be noted.

Ok, so update! Years later this place is still one of my favorite lunch/brunch/sipping spots in the area. So many yummy things to try for dinner also! Grab a table for group dining, or sit at the bar and chop it up with the servers. A lot of them have been here for years which is also a testament to the awesomeness of this place. Grab the corn dip as an appetizer, it's massive and always delicious with the piping hot chips. Plenty of spots to charge your phone as well up front. Patio is wonderful and there are misting fans. The only thing really I haven't had here is dessert! So that will be on the list. It tends to be on the pricier side but to me worth every penny. You will love it! I am already planning my trip back soon because I need to dive more into their brunch items.

Slight mishap with our reservation for our party of 16 which was quickly alleviated with quick and friendly service! Pictured are the French toast and The Unholy One (friend breast in a French toast sandwich). I was not a fan of the breakfast potatoes but overall good brunch spot!

I went Sunday around 2:30 PM for the 1st time. I sat at the bar after the bartender cleaned off an area. Everything behind the bar was in shambles and most of the counter was dirty. A couple sat beside me and made a comment about how everything was in disarray. The bartender said several people called people called in. My chicken sandwich and fries were cold. The drink wasn't good. It took forever to get someone's attention to check me out. I guess I picked the wrong day to try this place out.

Dropped by here for a quick brunch on a day out shopping and exploring the area. We ordered the queso and the cauliflower as appetizers for the table. The queso dip was very good, and our waitress brought us some extra tortilla chips when we ran out. The cauliflower appetizer looked really good. It had a flavor similar to general chicken but was kind of mushy on the inside with little flavor. The presentation as a whole head of cauliflower was nice, but I think the dish would have been much better if they cut the cauliflower in pieces so everything was cooked evenly and seasoned evenly. I ordered the migas. When it came out, it looked great. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. The eggs were rubbery and overcooked, there was no salt on the potatoes, and the tortillas were very underwhelming. The pickled onions on the plate were very good, but the rest tasted like airplane food. I also ordered a Good Medicine cocktail that was strong but good. The service here was good, but most of the food was not good at all. Maybe it was an off day, but it's definitely not a repeat.

First time here. Really liked this place and the home cooked food! Excellent fries and yummy "flower power" cauliflower. Atmosphere was fun and had nice 80's ads that make it nostalgic. Service was great and attentive. Although we don't live here, would definitely come back!

Make a reservation and get MASH'D! Busy eatery offering unique spins on southern classics! For starts we had the Oven-Roasted Chicken Thighs half Moonshine BBQ, half Sriracha Garlic Butter. The Thighs were large and juicy with a slightly crunchy exterior. The Moonshine BBQ had a good flavor, but not smoky like you would imagine in a BBQ flavor. The Sriracha Garlic, were like a spin on Garlic Parmesan with a slight sweet spicy kick! For our entree we had the Crab and Shrimp Volcano that had a weird, how be it not unpleasant flavor that was not the natural sweet of seafood. At first, it was a little off putting, only because it wasn't expected. However, once you dive in, the flavors come together enjoyably. The staff is quick and efficient, making the whole place run like a dream, even on a very busy Sunday afternoon! Overall, can't wait to try something else on the menu!

ORDERED - Chicken & Biscuits | $15.79 - Peach Mimosa | $2 - Blackberry Mimosa | $2 STAFF Absolutely loved our waiter! It was a busy brunch time when we went but our waiter still gave us 5 star service. SEATING AREA Plenty of seating inside and seating on the patio. Reservations can be made through their website, or through opentable. PARKING Parking can get a little out of hand in this plaza as there are A LOT of good dining options. I suggest getting there at least 10-15 mins early to grab a spot. OVERALL The CHICKEN & BISCUITS were a 5/5. The gravy was very rich and thick -- lots of flavor. The biscuits weren't regular biscuits; they were cheddar biscuits!!! The fried chicken was NOT salty like how many other establishments can go wrong. The dish was topped with two sunny side up eggs and everything assembled together was perfection. Just a warning that this will make you thirsty and you may or may not finish this in one sitting. It's A LOT to handle. As for the mimosas -- the brunch menu had $2 mimosas so you can try all flavors without breaking the bank. My personal favorite flavor was the BLACKBERRY, which actually tasted less tart than the BLOOD ORANGE. If you're not into flavored mimosas, the TRADITIONAL ORANGE is the way to go.

One of Frisco's go to restaurants. Great moonshine collection and the food is always great. Our favorite is the potted goat, it's no longer listed on the menu the last time we went but they made it for us anyway. read more

On this visit I ordered the lunch version of the Babyback! sandwich. Everything was provided as advertised. Plate presentation was pleasing, cool that they served the fries in a mini fryer basket. Nice change of pace with the garlic ketchup. Wasn't overly salty. Good seasoning on the shoestring fries. The sandwich would have been the star but there were a couple of issues. The pork was way over seasoned. The meat was so drowned in sauce it could have been chicken, beef, or pig. I personally prefer my meat to taste as it should, seasonings and sauces should be a compliment, not the star. Also the choice of french bread as the means to carry the sandwich isn't a sound choice. Most of my sandwich ended up the plate or table with each bite because the bread is too firm. The bread internally had no give to hold the components in place. I recommend a brioche or Kaiser to compliment this particular sandwich. I did enjoy the slaw and peppers, great addition the sandwich. In closing my first visit is a mixed bag and I hope that upon another visit I'll find something else on the menu that will make the trip worth it. read more

Last night we celebrated my friend's birthday at Mash'd. It was our first time there, but I had done some research on Yelp and we were not disappointed! We had Casey as our waiter and he was Awesome! He was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, gave us a history about moonshine, and was very prompt with refills on drinks. One of my friends asked if they would make her a drink that was not on the menu and they did without hesitation. All of the food was delicious and we can't wait to go back! Tried this place for the first time based on other reviews for lunch! It exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely amazing! We had Sriracha Garlic & the BBQ wings, the Guacamole (which is more like a corn and avacado salad with bacon yet still amazing!), the turkey burger and the tacos which is a Korean beef taco that will definitely make you want it again the next day! We had brunch menu on Saturday! Carafe of blackberry mimosas and queso were so good! Kids had pancakes, fruit, and bacon. I got the rustic salad and it was great, I would get again! This was the first time me and my husband came and I was so excited to eat here. The food was decent and the drinks were AMAZING! But the service from the host Mercedes was awful. We walked in with a stroller and she said, I'm just trying to figure out we're to put you because of the stroller. I offered to use a sling or leave the stroller at the front and my husband ended up having to take the stroller back to the car. When he came back in he asked Mercedes to tell him where she seated us and she said what and gave him a very rude look he said my wife and daughter? Then while we were paying another lady brought in her stroller with her baby without any problems or attitude from the hostess Mercedes there was also another stroller in the back right next to us. Fun busy atmosphere. There were a lot of families. The menu is challenging if you are Keto (or trying to eat clean) but we managed. The Beet Goes On salad was excellent and the Rustic Salad was pretty good as well. read more

My first time to be here with my wife for a date. The waitress Nicholas suggested me to order Pinapple bomb so I ordered it. This drink is kinda small but so damn good. Next time, I will ask for easy ice because they put too much ice into pinapple bomb. Nicholas told me about Chicken and biscuit is so popular. I picked this one quickly and my wife ordered Akaushi meatloaf. Both plates are so delicious because it has lot of favors. I want to come back again whenever I like. High recommended! read more

Really enjoyed the AI salad with chicken, fresh flavors, with noodles and different twist on a salad but works. The chicken was a small portion for $3, but I am craving that salad! We visited on a Sunday for lunch and I would have appreciated theuaic being turned down a few notches, we we're yelling across the table and the waiter was having a hard time hearing us. If we're in the bar area I can see theusoc being turned up. Speaking of waiter, our was fantastic, he was prompt and friendly. The staff is working hard! Had a great server (wish i could remember her name :(, not overbearing but paid great attention. Very sweet girl and another waitress and her both sat down and talked about their dogs since we had our dog with us on that patio. Food was amazing! Moonshine was good and our server recommended one for us we really liked. Paid special attention to our dog and kept her water bowl full just as well as she attended to us. Would definitely come back again and bring my dogs/dog. read more

Came here on my lunch break and I must this place is pretty awesome. The atmosphere here is very laid back with fun witty quotes painted on the walls. The menu is pretty cool too, it was like a newspaper theme. Our server Libby was super friendly (in a southern way) and very knowledgeable of the menu and, most importantly, of the happy hour menu. This places seems like a great place for brunch, $2 mimosas! I went with Libby's recommendation and ordered the meat loaf and watermelon lemonade. This plate was great! The meat loaf was served over mash potatoes. I'll definitely be back for happy hour and brunch. 5 stars. read more

I've dined at this location a few times and the various groups I was with had a wonderful meal and a great time. Now, I haven't been in several weeks and I'm wondering, 'what changed'. The food was not as good as the past and more importantly, the staff and MOD were in a bad mood and down right obnoxiously rude! I don't plan on spending MY money there any time soon; it will have to be someone else paying the bill. And, I still may not return. Good food & drinks with great atmosphere. We visited on super busy thursday evening though got the table quicker than expected. We had serious queso, cheese burger and grilled sockeye salmon. Food was ok, my favorite part was the appetizer- the guacamole was really tasty. Our server seemed a little annoyed with us, especially since we told her our beers were flat, she seemed liked she didn't believe us then was reluctant to offer something else. I'll probably come back and try something else. The atmosphere is fun. I'd say the main reason to try this place though would be if you like moonshine and spicy food. read more

Now this is a neat place to try something a little different! Lots of unique takes on traditional food items. A little on the pricier side, but a nice break from the traditional, without getting toooo far out there. Definitely worth a shot if you haven't been before. For some reason, my wife doesn't care for it too much...happy wife happy life, but I sneak in from time to time read more

Tried this place for the first time today with a friend. All of the staff were really friendly and gave us good recommendations on what to try. We started off with the queso and it was pretty good but had something tangy in it that I wasn't liking. Then we both ordered the chicken and biscuits. We got the half portion and it was HUGE so I can't even imagine what the full size looks like. I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes cause what's a meal without mashed potatoes and it was honestly my favorite part. There was absolutely no room for dessert but everything on the menu sounded good! I would recommend this restaurant if you haven't tried it but I was so full afterwards that I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon lol. I have to mention their staff again because they were so awesome! We had multiple people checking on us all the time but not in an annoying way. They were very attentive and sweet! read more

The humidor was also rather small, and several of the cigars were pricier than I've seen. Where this place takes the cake is the ambiance, service and whiskey selection. My hostess, Mary, was extremely attentive and provided good recommendations on the food and beverages. And regarding the whiskey - their selection was massive. Mary recommended a Texas bourban (Unbendt BiB) that was delicious. It was so good that I brought a bottle back to Chicago. Highly recommend this place for a cigar smoker looking for a good meal + cigar in a quiet/intimate environment.

We all shared the portobello tacos, steak frites with sweet potato truffle fries, Brussels sprouts, Asian tuna salad, and ended with the Kahlua cake. It was all fabulous. And whomever they had as entertainment on 2/21 was incredible. Great voice. Ambiance is why I've come in the past and why I'll come again. Both my partner and I loved the wood furnishing and felt quite comfortable despite the fact the restaurant was very busy. The service was outstanding, when we told the waitress that this was our first time here, she explained the full menu and gave a number of recommendations in each section.

Our server was super friendly and doing the work of approximately three humans, so props to them for keeping the ship afloat. The dining room also feels really open, like the architect's main inspiration was "airport terminal, but with mozzarella sticks." Big bonus: they do specials like "kids eat free" on certain nights, which in this economy feels less like a promotion and more like an act of public service. Nothing super compelling so far at this place, but certainly nothing bad either. Will definitely go back for another try!

Gotta say I'm impressed! Nice decor, good drinks, and good food. The menu takes a bit of studying. I usually stick to beer but thought I would try one of their mixed drinks as they were a bit different and sounded good. I got the Lady Marmalade (vodka, jalapeno, berry jam). It came in a martini glass and was quite spicy and tasty! I had to get another. I also ordered the shrimp tacos which were quite messy but very good. Their TV choices were more "eclectic" than most establishments. I saw a lot of home improvement shows and YouTube playlists, but no sports. Knocks.... waitress service was awful. Very slow, several long waits with empty glasses, waitress was nowhere to be seen for at least 20 minutes after each visit to your table (not crowded or busy at all), and the waitress couldn't even look at anyone while talking, just kept gazing off in the distance. Other tables with other waitresses didn't seem to fare much better. Prices are north of average, about 50% higher on each item than you would expect. I would try them again to see if waitress service improves. Only with better service would I keep coming back at the high prices. read more

Wow. I had their Arnold Palmer moonshine kinda drink and it was outstanding. They also had top notch margaritas. The ribs were smoky and tender with just the right amount of sauce. The meat loaf was moist and tender. I typically hate meat loaf but the loaf here is great. They also have a Detroit pizza on the menu. I've never had Detroit pizza but if this style of pie is true and authentic to what you'd find in Detroit I'd blame the economic collapse on their pizza and not the auto industry. Each slice is basically sauce on a roll. I didn't like the chunks of pepperoni on it either. Pepperoni should be thin slices that get crispy on the edges. It had flavor but just not my style of pizza. Oh their "legit guacamole"was good too. I even didn't mind the pineapple in it. It was different but good. read more

I had a lunch break Wednesday and decided to try this place out. I went in during normal restaurant "slow" hours around 230 and was one of the few tables at lunch. The server approached me right away. She was very friendly and suggested some drinks that sounded really good. It was too early for moonshine for me so I went with water. When she came back she suggested some food menu items that all sounded delicious. I wanted to try the fried chicken but didn't want too many leftovers so I went with the half portion of the avocado bomb. It was awesome! I definitely recommend the grilled chicken on top. One of the best restaurants ever!! The service was great, our waiter was funny and personable and made our time just that much more enjoyable. We got our drinks, which although I didn't have one, the rest of my party said were amazing. We all ordered wings and we were all shocked at how well they cooked them and how much flavor they had. The fries weren't really the way I like them because I'm more of a plain type of guy, but for well season fries, they were dang good! Overall the atmosphere for this place and after this visit it has quickly risen to probably my favorite restaurant in the area. read more

Excellent service and food was delicious. Me and my wife visited from Bonham . Small town up in texoma. We will definitely make the drive again. I had the chicken waffles and half order was plentiful. It was delicious . Chicken tender juicy and chuck Norris sauce out this world. My wife had the French toast . We visited for brunch and I vouched for the hillbilly and the pineapple bomb drink . Both amazing. Only 4 stars simply because my first drink was half full and was so busy . But cant blame them. Horrible. My party of 5 came in during the afternoon and we were forgotten. I had to get a server to help us. The bartender was on his phone, couldn't care less. The GM, some young lady was also walking around on her phone. We asked the server who was in charge and we were pointed to her, the GM. Where is service?? Where is hospitality? My same group came in here last October and we had the best time, great service, great food. The manager came by to chat with us, he was great. Too many options in Frisco to waste our money here. read more

I was at Mash'd on August 4th, and I must say, I was extremely impressed. My guest and I started out with Moonshine Mussels, and, oh my, they were the best mussels we have ever tasted. Next, we ordered the Bootleg Ribs and Lemon Shrimp, both were to die for. And, the drinks were completely off the chart. But, more importantly, we had a server that made this dinner extra special and so enjoyable. Her name is Tess Kelley. We will return, and we will be asking for Tess as our server.....she's the best! I was dining here this past Saturday night, and this older man came into the restaurant yelling and screaming at the staff in a VERY unprofessional way. He was even hitting things, like he was throwing a tantrum as if he were a child. It made me very uncomfortable...so I asked the server for more information. Apparently he is one of the owners of this establishment...WOW is all I can say. Shane is his name, I felt awful for the server... This man needs help! I feel SO BAD for the staff having to work for this man. read more

This place reminds me of back home in Louisiana. This is what i call great southern food. I can't say enough about this place. The happy hour is also entertaining and amazingly fun. The reserve happy hour just makes it a place to enjoy just a bit longer. The patio ambiance is great! Our group had some amazing appetizers, seafood is always a must, and good fried chicken. Your have a great one in this place TX. I would recommend anyone try this place. read more

Growing up in Virginia... Moonshine doesn't have the allure to me that it does to many. Moonshine currently is enjoying a "cool" phase. Authentic moonshine is gross. The moonshine you get it mashed is all this sweet syrupy flavored stuff that tastes A different kind of horrible. Somebody will like it. Folks seem to be attracted to this place maybe because of the moonshiners TV show. I have seen moonshining firsthand and believe me it's not all that. read more

Great place, great atmosphere, great food. Took my family here the other night and got the oven roasted chicken, absolutely mind blowing. All my family enjoyed their meals, and left nothing but crumbs on their plates. Our experience was topped off by amazing service from our waiter, Will. He was patient, respectful, and attentive to all of our needs in a timely manner. I will be bringing my family back here as soon as I can! read more

Great food and super fast customer service. We have tried here twice. We loved their food, it is so fresh and delicious. We never get a stomach hurt at all. I think the food was cooked every day, and never left over. We felt in love with their chicken fried pepperoni. It is crunchy and tasted, it so delicious!!! Affordable price. Staffs were so friendly and welcoming us anytime we come. 5 star for them. Highly recommended! read more

The location is convenient, which is why I have dined a few times. The menu is heavy and gives you the impression they are trying to hard to be trendy. But not quite pulling it off. I have yet to eat anything I would order again. The bar staff is friendly and attentive, and why I return. The patio is nice as well. Good for passing through for a drink, wouldn't sit down for dinner. read more

This is not a cheap steak house. But it is very solid. I had the 400g American ribeye and it was slightly over for me but absolutely stunning nonetheless. Marbling, resting, seasoning and charring spot on the money - very impressive. The staff were lovely, friendly and their english was perfect. Love the food, great atmosphere, but most of all the service. Hannah was our server and she is the best I've seen in a while. She was so thoughtful of dietary restrictions of our party and told my friend about potential issues she might have with the menu (she's pregnant). The manager, Matt, was friendly and attentive. My partner and I dined at the bar and had a phenomenal time. We started off with mimosas and then I got the cheeseburger omelette while my partner got the avocado toast. Our server, Will, made sure everything came out promptly and met our expectations. I was even able to catch the Cardinals game during brunch. Overall it was a delightful experience. read more

I recently dined at Mash'd on Friday night and had a wonderful experience! The ambiance was inviting, and the service was attentive. We truly appreciated the hostess for her hospitality and letting us switch tables and being friendly about it. The portions on the regular menu are huge! I ate only half of my meal and was completely stuffed. It was so worth it though. I highly recommend the Migas Tacos. I loved that they used fresh herbs in their cooking. I managed to sneak some fries when my son wasn't looking and those were pretty tasty as well - no ketchup needed. read more

Stopped by here for the first time and was not disappointed! We had the spinach and corn dip as well as the sriracha garlic chicken thighs and both were absolutely amazing. Our server Will also made sure we were well taken care of. He was very attentive and gave great recommendations. I will be back for sure! read more
