Came here for lunch the other day, food was interesting. The tacos I had were very flavorful but the sangria was disappointing and gave a bad headache. The fish tacos were dry and bland. My friends enjoyed their burger, salmon and meatloaf well enough. Atmosphere was a little different, more employees working then patrons dining during the lunch rush.
Came to this location on a whim on a Friday afternoon. We were seated right away but our server let us know they were having an issue with someone seating people without telling the server so there was a bit of a wait before anyone took our drink or food orders. Our server apologized even though it wasnt a big deal and was super helpful. We tried the corn spinach dip and "avocado toast pizza". The corn spinach dip was 10/10 bomb.com but was served with some of the stalest chips known to man. The avo toast pizza was very strange. Would maybe rate it 4/10 on a good day. Its super thick and reminds me of cheese bread not toast or pizza (it has no red sauce). We both ate one slice and took the rest home (and its still sitting in the fridge ) Giving 4 stars for how friendly and helpful our server was and how good the spinach corn dip was - everything else was just okay and the vibe is definitely sports-bar-ish with many many tv's and is pretty loud. Not my scene, most of their cocktails seemed to have a "home town moonshine" theme and it was an interesting atmosphere for sure.
Dropped my Mash'd for the first time after workout out for the wings and my goodness!!! Upon arrival there was no wait but get there as early as possible as it was filling up fast! Upon sitting we' were greeted within minutes. The waitress was very patient with us as we browsed the menu and brought out waters without asking...nice touch! We originally went for wings but was told the wings were discontinued so we opted for the chicken thighs as a starter. I'm am SO glad they had those thighs. We ordered 8 and got 4 siracha garlic butter and 4 wicked hot flavor. They were amazing! They were juicy and surprisingly normal sized. And that was just a starter!!! We literally could've ordered a side and made a meal of it! For dinner I ordered the turkey burger and it was also pretty tasty. It was seasoned well and was also juicy. If you want a cool setting with bar seating and tvs this is your spot! It's family friendly and has a good mixed crowd. And let me add...the pizza looked amazing!!! There were several tables that ordered one so it's safe to say that's a popular item! The only issue we had was that we had to ask for ketchup on 4 separate occasions from 3 different employees outside of our waitress and by the time we received it we were wrapping up our dining. Other than that...we had a great dining experience! I'd definitely go back!
Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. They weren't extremely busy, which was a good thing. This place had a normal vibe to it though. But when I initially ordered, they said they were out of the fried pepperoni bites. So I was very disappointed, but the wait staff suggested the spinach & corn dip. I wasn't thinking it was going to be very good. But boy was I wrong. This dip was very good! The chips that came with it were also very good. A lot different than normal tortilla chips you get at Mexican food establishments. I highly recommend it. On top of that, we got the WTF tacos. These were also very good! Very good place, which in return I'll be back.
I've been wanting to try this place for so long because of the quantity of reviews. Disappointed. What we got: Spinach and corn dip, Bulgogi tacos, and The Bird. The Bird is a heavily breaded, thin piece of chicken sitting between two room-temperature buns. Bulgogi tacos were definitely interesting - not horrible, not great, but I really appreciated the heavy hand on veggies. We did really like the spinach and corn dip though. Environment: Very spacious area & our table was clean. Service: The server pretty much threw down our appetizer plates. Someone else's food was delivered to us, our food was delivered to the table next to us; the server was honestly probably just having a bad day, but thought it should be noted.
Ok, so update! Years later this place is still one of my favorite lunch/brunch/sipping spots in the area. So many yummy things to try for dinner also! Grab a table for group dining, or sit at the bar and chop it up with the servers. A lot of them have been here for years which is also a testament to the awesomeness of this place. Grab the corn dip as an appetizer, it's massive and always delicious with the piping hot chips. Plenty of spots to charge your phone as well up front. Patio is wonderful and there are misting fans. The only thing really I haven't had here is dessert! So that will be on the list. It tends to be on the pricier side but to me worth every penny. You will love it! I am already planning my trip back soon because I need to dive more into their brunch items.
I went Sunday around 2:30 PM for the 1st time. I sat at the bar after the bartender cleaned off an area. Everything behind the bar was in shambles and most of the counter was dirty. A couple sat beside me and made a comment about how everything was in disarray. The bartender said several people called people called in. My chicken sandwich and fries were cold. The drink wasn't good. It took forever to get someone's attention to check me out. I guess I picked the wrong day to try this place out.
Dropped by here for a quick brunch on a day out shopping and exploring the area. We ordered the queso and the cauliflower as appetizers for the table. The queso dip was very good, and our waitress brought us some extra tortilla chips when we ran out. The cauliflower appetizer looked really good. It had a flavor similar to general chicken but was kind of mushy on the inside with little flavor. The presentation as a whole head of cauliflower was nice, but I think the dish would have been much better if they cut the cauliflower in pieces so everything was cooked evenly and seasoned evenly. I ordered the migas. When it came out, it looked great. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. The eggs were rubbery and overcooked, there was no salt on the potatoes, and the tortillas were very underwhelming. The pickled onions on the plate were very good, but the rest tasted like airplane food. I also ordered a Good Medicine cocktail that was strong but good. The service here was good, but most of the food was not good at all. Maybe it was an off day, but it's definitely not a repeat.
Make a reservation and get MASH'D! Busy eatery offering unique spins on southern classics! For starts we had the Oven-Roasted Chicken Thighs half Moonshine BBQ, half Sriracha Garlic Butter. The Thighs were large and juicy with a slightly crunchy exterior. The Moonshine BBQ had a good flavor, but not smoky like you would imagine in a BBQ flavor. The Sriracha Garlic, were like a spin on Garlic Parmesan with a slight sweet spicy kick! For our entree we had the Crab and Shrimp Volcano that had a weird, how be it not unpleasant flavor that was not the natural sweet of seafood. At first, it was a little off putting, only because it wasn't expected. However, once you dive in, the flavors come together enjoyably. The staff is quick and efficient, making the whole place run like a dream, even on a very busy Sunday afternoon! Overall, can't wait to try something else on the menu!
ORDERED - Chicken & Biscuits | $15.79 - Peach Mimosa | $2 - Blackberry Mimosa | $2 STAFF Absolutely loved our waiter! It was a busy brunch time when we went but our waiter still gave us 5 star service. SEATING AREA Plenty of seating inside and seating on the patio. Reservations can be made through their website, or through opentable. PARKING Parking can get a little out of hand in this plaza as there are A LOT of good dining options. I suggest getting there at least 10-15 mins early to grab a spot. OVERALL The CHICKEN & BISCUITS were a 5/5. The gravy was very rich and thick -- lots of flavor. The biscuits weren't regular biscuits; they were cheddar biscuits!!! The fried chicken was NOT salty like how many other establishments can go wrong. The dish was topped with two sunny side up eggs and everything assembled together was perfection. Just a warning that this will make you thirsty and you may or may not finish this in one sitting. It's A LOT to handle. As for the mimosas -- the brunch menu had $2 mimosas so you can try all flavors without breaking the bank. My personal favorite flavor was the BLACKBERRY, which actually tasted less tart than the BLOOD ORANGE. If you're not into flavored mimosas, the TRADITIONAL ORANGE is the way to go.

So the first time my husband and I had Mash'D was in San Antonio. We would go at least once a month with friends. When we moved to Dallas that was one of the places we though we were gonna miss, but were excited to know there was a location near enough to us that we can come every now and then... We ordered our regular go to items the manhole pancake and the tomato potato smash. The manhole pancake was good, but it was a little over cooked and sweeter than we remembered. The tomato potato smash was very disappointing. This has always been one of our favorite things and was always on point in San Antonio and we were so disappointed here. The portion was significantly smaller. They weren't as smashed, and the flavors were a bit off, but we couldn't pinpoint why. Overall: if you've never been and dont have any expectations, definitely come try it. Would we go back? Maybe - but there are so many other options we would probably try something else first. read more
Amazing for my first time and the experience was excellent and made my day! - I've heard of Mash'D through Yelp but never had the chance to try until my fiancé surprised me here and I did not regret! - The staff was nice and the owner is more nice, he opened the door for us when we enter and greeted us. - Food: So I ordered my appetizer the Fried Pepperoni for my starter but it didn't come out after our entree and the owner knew something was missing because apparently the server accidentally gave it to the wrong table and he was so nice enough to make ours quick and it was on the house since I really wanted to try it.(Ugh so nice, we need more like him) anyways the fried pepperoni was delicious and sooo tasty! The dipping makes it so much better! I also ordered the meatloaf and never have I ever tried meatloaf but it was very tasty and the sauce with it makes it even better! Love the mashed potatoes and the meatloaf combine! My fiancé had the burger, something with egg and bacon but oh boy, the fries were the best one and their spicy ketchup sauce they have it's just so delicious! He even likes the burger and the egg was soo worthy to snap for the runny yolk, but the burger was very good and meaty! *Overall: Would I come back? Heck yeah! I wanted to enjoy this restaurant more than I actually did. It's very busy and trendy. The parking is not so great because of where it's located. One thing that's super cool about Mash'd is they have a full gluten free menu filled with delicious selections. We had barbecue sandwiches that were fantastic. But Mash'd doesn't have sweet iced tea. Boo!!! read more

Was here on a date with my wife.Also had Pineapple Bomb and Hibachi Mule for drinks. The bomb had a nice balance of pineapple and cinnamon. Ordered the 'Spinach and Corn Dip'. Chips were nice and dip was brilliant. For the main course I got the Lover of Meat pizza (I can't rave enough about it!!!!) and she had the Migas. We both loved the food. So it's day 5070 x 10 of this pandemic but you still want to feel human. I hear ya. I only have a strong 5 people that I interact with because I know they're sitting at home just like me. On those rare occasions we want to have an meet up I'll pick a friend to patio pleasure with a nosh or cocktails before dinner somewhere else. I recommend Mash'd for sure. It has a nice patio area that's covered and great bar service. Good for us we arrived during Happy Hour and the drinks were discounted. I ordered a Rowdy Rhonda. I thought dang that a little drink. I took a sip and thought, "There's nothing in here but juice and aspirations of a cocktail." It did taste good so maybe I'll try something else on the next good round. Little did I know Rhonda doesn't get ROWDY until the 2nd or 3rd sip. Whoooooo! I take it all back Ms. Rhonda you didn't come to play. I wondered why the server tried to encourage me to have an appetizer. She can spot a lightweight I guess. She finally came back if we wanted another round and I told her, "No Mas!" LOL! Service is great! Food is ok; drinks are the best part of this place.. They make their own Moonshine and it is delish. Lots of variety. The fries are GREAT. I got the stir fry which was just ok but I would love to try a few other things on the menu. If you are looking to be wowed by the food dont go here but if you wanna watch the game and have some great drinks with no as much emphasis on the eats this is the place to be! read more

Mash'D is my favorite brunch place in Frisco! I love the outdoor area which is perfect for a weekend brunch with a nice weather. Their migas is one of the best I've ever tried. It's so freaking delicious, and it's definitely a must if you make a visit here. K&Q was pretty good too. It was interesting how the omelet was made with all egg white. They also offer $2 mimosa! This is the place to be if you are looking for a nice brunch spot! read more

I came here on the recommendation of my daughter and man let me tell you, it was awesome! My daughter had the pizza, which is just phenomenal with the home made crust, and I had the RI style hotdogs. It seems odd to be leaving a review about hotdogs, but man, these are phenomenal! It's like a toasted bread/bun with a good dog and a great meat sauce. It's not the cheapest place in town, but I have to say it was worth the money. We will be back! read more

Food. Moonshine. Life. The bar is happening, and it breathes good energy. On a nice day, one side of the bar opens up, and it's very cool. At near full capacity, meaning, you can actually get a seat without a wait. But the restaurant "sitdown" area was where I was headed. It's supposed to be Louisiana style, and I would say it's nicer than that. It's new, and it's woodsy...almost country-western like. The salads that mom and I had were amazing. My Mom got the "K&Q" with kale, quinoa, pistachios, citrus, cilantro, and grapes with a Aquave-vinegarette, and a Lime-cilantro dressing on the "Avocado Bomb"; tons of avocado, arugula, feta, corn, and more. It was soooo good, that I went back twice within 3 days. I also tried a couple of drinks, too. The Jolly Rancher (watermelon) and the Pineapple Bomb. The "Jolly" was good, but the Pineapple was the "bomb". Ryan, a tall 6'5" gargantuan, is a terrific server. Has a good way about him, and you want to order everything he explains to you. So, hint: don't ask him any questions! I would so go back, and currently my favorite place of Frisco. read more
They need more restaurants like Mash'd in Frisco!! Love the atmosphere. Perfect place for a nice chill dinner while watching sports or it's also great for Saturday/Sunday brunch! I really like their patio area. They are also pet friendly which is a big big plus for me. I took my dog with us for dinner couple times and the servers were not only good to us, but were also super sweet to my dog :) You have to try their guacamole, it's to die for! I absolutely love the pineapple in their guac! Everyone should put pineapple in their guac because it's delish! The food isn't amazing, but every plate I've tried were all pretty good. No complaints! Mash'd is located where Dodie's Cajun restaurant used to be. I've been here three times now, once when they first opened, once around Christmas holiday, and once last week. Of course opening week for any restaurant is never my favorite time to visit...with the staff learning the ropes and the restaurant just getting settled in. I can see a drastic improvement from my first visit and most recent visit and I'm officially a fan! Over the few times we've been there we've tried a variety of menu items so let me just mention a few of my faves. As you know, I love small plates/appetizers anywhere but, here at Mash'd, I LOVE the freggies (deep fried veggies), the queso that comes with fried chicken and pretzels on the side, and the "Legit Guac." The freggies and queso are delicious but HOLY CRAP the Guac is out of control. One of the BEST guacs I've ever had .Chunky, a great balance of citrus and avocado...seriously my mouth is just watering thinking about it. The guac is served with seasoned tortilla chips which are just outrageous! As for entrees, the burger is good, the tacos are really good (and very large portion), and the brisket sandwich is also very yummy (but more on the sweet side). I love the little basket of "skinny fries" (is that an oxymoron?) that comes as a side for the sandwich plates. There are a few salad options on the menu, but the only one I've tried is the chopped salad with Shrimp. This salad was delicious but not as tempting as the other entree options available. While the food at Mash'd is delicious, what makes this restaurant unique is their large menu of moonshine. The first time we went, we tried just about every type of moonshine that sounded appealing (think 10 flavors between six of us at the table) and, I'm sad to say, I'm just NOT a fan of moonshine. For those of you who are also not moonshine drinkers, not to worry...they have a full bar! They also have a happy hour from 3-7pm Monday-Friday, including $2 off glasses of wine...only bummer is the pours are NOT very generous so keep that in mind. They do serve Rombauer chardonnay....which makes everything better! The staff is very friendly, the service is quick, and there is a variety of seating options available. I love the bar area which offers a few high tops, a few booths, and of course bar seating. The environment is very hip and laid back. It's located in a larger shopping center which is convenient, but also makes for trouble finding parking on Friday nights (so get there a little earlier if meeting friends). Overall I love this place, love the location, and definitely think it's a better fit than Dodie's was. Excited to go back soon! read more
Writing about this Texas restaurant, makes me miss my brother (he lives in Texas and I live in California)... oh and the incredible service/people here at Mash'D. This popular restaurant, had a 45 minute wait. The kind, female greeter at the door let us know the bar area was first come, first serve... so, we kept an eye out for a table there. About 15 minutes passed and another group sitting in the bar area was nice enough to flag down our group to pass on the table to us! People are so kind in Texas! I love it! Service was awesome too. My family ate chicken wings, restaurant had cloth towels to wipe down after (that's a nice touch of service). Everyone was attentive, cheerful and seemed genuinely happy to serve me and my party of 4. Thank you, for the great service Mash'D! Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the Open Faced Blackened Salmon $11.95. Presentation was cute, with the metal basket of shoestring fries. Sockeye salmon was moist and came with an avocado herb cream, house slaw and sriracha drizzle on the bun. So YUMMY! Too bad I don't live in the area. Or I'd be back to take advantage of their happy hour menu, drinks and watch a couple games on the TV's around the bar area. Big parking lot for free parking too (that's not common, in LA). read more

This place is just killer when you want great food and you want it NOW. The service, food, and ambience were all on point and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We went there for my birthday and with 5 small children, timeliness of food service is EVERYTHING. The waitress made sure that our kids were taken care of first, but that almost wasn't even necessary because we received our entree in no time at all. It was explained to us that their max entree preparation/delivery is 10mn. NO WAY. That's almost half of what the restaurant entree standard is. Not only did the dishes make it to our tables in no time at all, they were all cooked perfectly. The chicken fried pepperoni rolls, Motor City pizza and rebellious burger were my favorites of the evening. Chicken Fried Pepperoni Roll- Your childhood party pizza bite favorite all grown up. Layers of warm, melty, gooey, stringy mozzarella, herbs, and thick cut pepperoni, all wrapped in a crispy, golden brown, chicken fried shell of glory. Dip these robust rolls into their homemade buttermilk ranch dressing and let the taste bud celebration ensue! Motor City Pizza- With a 48hr fermented dough, this pizza is one of a kind. I would go to this restaurant for the pizza alone if I had to. The fermentation makes for a light, airy, and full flavored dough. A delectable pillow of deliciousness covered in a blanket of rich and savory tomato sauce pepperoni, cheese, and herbs. Makes me drool just thinking back to it. Rebellious Burger- Now this is a burger done RIGHT. Tender, juicy, and not one, but TWO flavorful Akaushi beef patties cooked to a perfect medium, topped with a creamy sunny side up egg, bacon, house ketchup, and mayo, on a split top bun. Burger craving status-SATISFIED. I also wanted to add that since it was my birthday and since I had a large party with me, they were kind enough to bring me a bowl cake-as big as my head- instead of the usual Chocolate Pot De Creme. If that isn't going the extra mile for customer service, I don't know what is!! This will definitely be a favorite place for years to come! read more

This is the place to be! The location is unbeatable inside of cultural district. The atmosphere fits friends going out for drinks on the patio or having a classy date night inside.. or the boys going out watching the game! The French fries and cocktails are a must. Thank you, Mash'D! read more

Drinks are always strong and tasty! Pineapple bomb moonshine has vanilla bean, cinnamon and pineapple and comes with a punch. I had the corn star tamale cakes and they were a great vegetarian option. They had corn, fontina, cheddar, butter, and sour cream. On the side there was a avocado and pickled peppers. On top of the corn cakes there was salsa and sprouted pumpkin seeds. You can add shrimp or akaushi steak for $5 more. The corn cakes tasted very good. My husband had the chicken and biscuits and he said they were full of flavor and tender. The biscuits were chorizo cheddar biscuits with gravy. read more

The "Knockout" Punch is limited to 2 per guest for good reason - it is incredibly strong! Mash'D management changed recently I believe and so did the menu...for the worst? I got the same chicken taco plate a few weeks back and it didn't come with what felt like 2 cups of rice as a side. Got stuck in my throat along with the tacos with the overall dryness of the plate. I would not recommend that on the menu. Perhaps opt for a motor city pizza as they are deep dish and the 6 cylinder is enough for one person if you have a big appetite. read more
