We went to Mash 'D for lunch on a Saturday, and there was no wait. The decor was rustic; moonshine was served in A Mason jar, which was interesting. The service was prompt. We ordered a smoke salmon bruschetta; it was fantastic, highly recommended. We also ordered a fried veggie stick; the veggies were slightly pickled, my kids loved it. We saved room for the famous olive oil cake. It was well worth it. The food was a little bit pricey, but flavored were wonderful. read more

I went here for my 29th birthday. One reason was to experience their moonshine and to my surprise they also had crab legs which are my favorite. My friend who was their had worked for a high end restaurant for the longest time so he knows when a waiter makes a mistake or the food isn't right and so forth. In the beginning our waitress would disappear for long durations and we would want to order drinks which were great drinks but because we had to hunt down our waitress it took a while to get. We then ordered the spicy muscles, some kind of cheese on bread and the chips and cheese dip and were all delicious. However, this is when the major problems happened. My crab legs were delivered way before anyone else's dish. Everyone else had at least another 5-10 more minutes before their food would arrive according to the waitress so I sent the crab legs back because I was not going to eat alone. About 10 minutes later everyone's food was delivered including mine, but the waitress left before I noticed that I didn't get a crab cracker so I could start eating my crab. So everyone else was eating, my wife ordered the turkey burger, a friend ordered the shepherds pie another ordered the lamb. While I was waiting for my waitress to come back to ask for my crab cracker my friend who was previously a waiter else where had us all try the lamb which was extremely tender but was heavily seasoned with salt. I myself grew up on large amounts of salt on my food and even I was disgusted by the amount of salt I received from eating a small bite. At this point the waitress was still no where to be seen and so my friend grabbed the manager and explained the problems. The manager apologized and was willing to do anything to make everything right. My friend returned the lamb and ordered chicken, I told the manager I wasn't able to eat my crab legs because I was missing my tools to do so and the crab legs were now cold. He ordered a fresh pot of crab legs and basically serviced our table the rest of the night. The restaurant in all fairness was busy but no excuse for over salting the lamb and not getting the tools necessary to eat the crab legs. At the end the waitress charged us for the lamb we returned and so we had to another problem we had to correct. This was our first experience with Mash'd and their food was great when seasoned and prepared right. If we hadn't gotten the manager involved it would of been a 1 star. The waitress just wasn't up to the task to service our table but that reflects on the business for not properly training her. read more

I went to Sunday brunch here and it was awesome! I loved the moonshine mimosas (I believe I had the red-orange one). I also had the moonshine french toast which was hands down best french toast I've ever had. Last but not least I had the Mash'd Tator Eggsplosion which was sooooo good! Huge servings of spicy comfort food. We shared an appetizer and main course and still had lots of leftovers. Mashed potatoes come with "Chuck Norris" gravy - not normal but tasty. The moonshine that I tried was REALLY sweet - not my preference but my sister loved. I especially liked the adult root-beer float, that came with two shots of moonshine. It has taken us 3 months to return to Mash'd after the horrible customer service we received from our waiter. We had friends from CA visiting and we wanted to give Mash'd another try. The customer service was fantastic and the food was good even though they seem to over salt some of their entrees. BTW, we use to visit this place once to twice a week. read more

Thought this place was ok. Music was way too loud. We couldn't have a conversation. Burger was outstanding. The garlic ketchup was disgusting that they put with the fries. Just keep normal ketchup and if someone wants the garlic then they can ask for it. Who the hell wants garlic ketchup. yuck. read more

We just moved to the area and are trying new places close to our new digs. This place is so good we've been back three times this month. The Chicken and Biscuits is excellent and the Pork sandwich is crave worthy. Staff has been awesome every time. On our most recent visit the Manager overheard me and the Spousal Unit talking about dessert. While we were still chatting the Manager brought us a complementary Chocolate Pot de Creme. It was delicious. If you are looking for something a little different with a great atmosphere, try this place. It's good stuff. read more

Do you ever look at a menu and have a hard time finding anything you want from the list of same old same old? Not the case at Mash'd. Our first visit to this somewhat rustic, vibrant spot won't be our last. The warm goat cheese appetizer with mixed berry jalapeño marmalade, tomatoes and olive oil was like a party in my mouth! Both the blackened salmon sandwich with avocado herb cream on a puffy bun and the chicken sandwich with lemon aioli were cravable. Seafood, meatloaf, short rib stroganoff, shepherd's pie, chicken 'n biscuits, and ribs plus many other delectable options. Moonshine cocktails and craft beer will also be on our radar. Great new place in Frisco!!! Customer service is amazing. Ask for Anne, she's amazing. She will make sure your experience is 5 star!!! Drinks and food don't disappoint! The managers want you to have exactly what you order, even if you are okay with it once it comes to the table. One person in the group order her salad with dressing on the side, but it came on it and she was fine with it. Within two minutes, Anne and the manager came to bring her exactly what she wanted. We've eaten here a few times and each experience was great. We've tried the Belt, the BBQ sandwich, the Fried Chicken, the Freggies, amongst other items. Everything was cooked wonderfully, the staff is friendly and competent and the drinks are delicious. Also, as one with Celiac Disease it was really impressive when the chef personally came out to our table, introduced himself to me, and asked what I would like. Will not return. Went for a late lunch on the weekend and ordered steak. Wait was incredibly long, food came out cold, the steak tasted like garlic butter cardboard and the rice as a side was disgusting. My date ordered the mac and cheese and was equally flavorless. Burgers and sandwiches ordered by others looked good, but the entrees were a big disappointment. I can't say enough great things about Mash'd. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time and I am so glad we did. Great, unique, laid back atmosphere and wonderful service. We sat indoors, but they have a very nice patio as well. The food was outstanding. We had the chips and guacamole and it was the best guacamole we have ever had. My husband had the cheeseburger and I had the small chop salad. I also had the Organic Berry Smash cocktail which was amazing! The drinks are a little pricey, but there are very good and high quality. We were there during happy hour which made my drink a little more affordable, but it was worth what it cost at regular price. We usually judge new restaurants by whether or not we would return and we will definitely return to Mash'd. read more

Made our second visit and when we walked in we told them party of 2 and first available. They told us they would get a table ready so we sat down right in front of the hostess table. They never asked for a name but we assumed that by sitting right in front of the two girls and manager we would be taken care of. We watched a party of 3 and then a party of 6 be seated in front of us even though they came in after we did. When the manager tried to seat the next party of 3 I got up and said something to him. At that point he walked us to a table and never once apologized. His comment was, you should have put your name on the list. With all of that taking place we just walked out seeing as he could care less that his customers were not being taken care of. Can honestly say we will never be back to this place. read more

Ben is an excellent waiter - he went out of his way to understand our requirements (vegetarian food) and got creative with the menu to have the chef put together a meal that was delicious and well prepared. Mash'd was great! The moonshine was delicious. We got the serious queso and it was amazing. Entrees were fried chicken and the bulgogi tacos. The fried chicken was perfect. The tacos had great flavor and were delicious. The beef in the tacos was a little tough and tendon-y, but overall good. Good food, great drinks. read more
