Fun, dimly lit, little Italian place with excellent food and outstanding service. Went in tonight and was greeted by a super enthusiastic young lady who showed me to my table immediately. After looking over the menu she offered a couple of suggestions and made me promise the next time in town I would try her favorite filet dish. I tried the chicken parmigiana and it was excellent. I am normally a salad fan, but this house salad with ranch was the best I have ever had. My waitress kept me well stocked on warm bread and drinks. I felt that Ms. M was not as pleasant with our table as she was with others. Her vibe was off and we just couldn't understand why. While we were eating, she just dropped off styrofoam boxes. We literally had got our food about 10-15 minutes prior. Also, the food that we typically get, the waitresses usually ask if we want Parmesan cheese. Ms. M did not ask at all, and we had to ask another person to assist us. Last, but not least it felt like she was trying to rush us out. She didn't ask if we were all paying separately or on the same bill. We told her that we wanted our checks separate, but it appeared that she was not happy about it. Had dinner tonight at Massa's. Recommend by Michael (my driver for the Embassy Suites across from the restaurant). I had a Cesar salad, Tutta Mare, and a chianti wine. The salad was good and contained Anchovies. The Tutta Mare was very good with muscles, shrimp, clams, and scallops. In a white sauce. Price was reasonable for this nice meal. We were staying at the hotel across the street so we found this restaurant on yelp and google. Absolutely terrible. We get food to go. Get back to our rooms. No napkins, no salt and pepper (for the bland food) and they gave us a half container of salad dressing. The food was tasteless and bland. First time here. Absolutely great food. Our table had tortellini and the combo along with spinach artichoke dip for appetizer. All of it was amazing. We made friends with a neighboring table that were regulars. They shared some of their pepe sauce. Will definitely be trying it next time. Went here for the first time last week (original location), and will definitely be coming back. They brought out bread right away- and the butter was delicious that accompanied. For dinner, I had the blue medallions (new favorite!!) , which came with a salad (delicious in-house made Caesar dressing), and potatoes. Husband had the cannelloni with a meatball on top. We found this small building at 8:30 on a Friday night. At first we didn't even know it was a restaurant until we stepped inside, and then we didn't even know because there was no maître d' to greet us. However that was the only thing that was wrong with this restaurant. 20 seconds after we came to the door a young man came to us and showed us to a table. Within minutes we got a fresh loaf of bread, yummy! While I was sitting at the table I noticed it's a very small restaurant. However that is the only thing that it is small about this restaurant. The white staff was excellent, the kitchen staff was superb. We will definitely be back. If you decide to go if I can give you is go later in the evening because this place fills up fast. But with such good food and such an attentive white staff you'll know why. read more

Very cozy and homey atmosphere and accommodating wait staff. Appreciated them taking care of our two large parties. The food was a pleasant surprise. I have been in St. Louis before and have some favorite restaurants and it would have taken 20-30 minutes to get to my preferred dining locations. So, for this area near the airport Massa's was a solid choice for a dinner with co-workers. Yummy and warm complimentary bread too. OK, so I'm not from St. Louis, but the toasted ravioli here is AWESOME! Caesar salad fantastic. And guess what, they use provolone vice mozzarella cheese on their pizza - phenomenal. Plus the atmosphere is so old school Italian I expected to see the Godfather sitting in the back corner. The staff were totally friendly and welcoming . Talk about service! I showed up at 6pm on a Saturday, was shown right to a table, and had two servers ask if I needed anything. They call this Massa's, "The Old Place" for a reason. It is. It's dark, relatively small inside, and a bit difficult to get to. But once you do, boy you are in for a treat!! We started with the Seafood Stuffed Portabella and could have stopped there. So delicious and different!! I ordered the Tutta Mare, which was so creamy, chock FULL of seafood and pasta and hands down, the BEST I have ever had. My daughter had the Gamberi. She raved about it! My wife had the Beef Tenderloin Filet with garlic on top and thoroughly enjoyed her meal. Service was very good, and attentive enough. Water glasses were never empty. Prices were a bit on the high side but you get your money's worth. When we left, the place was full of families, couples, and bar patrons all talking, laughing and obviously enjoying themselves. The only access as far as I can tell us a little exit from Lindbergh just up the hill from the restaurant. Came in for the usual pasta (tutto mare, Cajun chicken). Both pastas were a watery mess. This isn't the first time and it's becoming a frequent thing now. We are regulars and even though the salad was good, what a waste of 80$. Do yourself a favor and make sure Antwon is working in the kitchen, otherwise the quality isn't consistent. Wow- we are from out town, staying at the Marriot and I decided to try Massa's for pizza. Well, I just wasted 50 dollars on 3 pizzas from Massa's. I usually find Yelp to be very reliable, but Yelp failed me on this one. The pizzas were like a "Lunchables" pizza kit for an elementary school lunch. The crust was similar to cardboard, and the cheese was a poor substitute for mozzarella. Huge disappointment!! Not only was the pizza a sad excuse for pizza, they did not even have paper plates to give us, as we ordered it to go...Whatever you do, do NOT order pizza to go from this restaurant. We ended up going to Jet's Pizza, and bought more pizza there. read more
