Original I took my vehicle to another mechanic (Firestone) and spent $1200 on a clunking noise I was experiencing. They did not fix the noise, desperate I yelped a good reviewed shop and found Master Auto. I decided to take my vehicle there. When I arrived he instantly helped me out and took my truck for a test drive and then pinpointed the issue. I left my truck there, he called me an hour later it came out to $30 on some loose bolts on my rack and pinion, yes $30 !!! I paid Firestone $1200 on non needed repairs which did not fix my issue,and Master's figured out the issue and fixed it. It was incredible, he's my new go to mechanic. Adjusting rating, because the more I think about it, Masters either scammed me, or were neglect. They looked at my car to diagnose a front end shimmy while braking, and said it was the shocks. They did not recognize, or tell me it was really the upper ball joint which was very obvious once the car was jacked up and inspected. The shocks were probably good for another 50k. read more

The car was due for maintenance so I brought it to Vu. Okay fine I did not personally bring it, the boyfriend did. I has extensive work performed on my vehicle by Mr. Vu. As time went on,our relationship started to break down and suspicious problems began to occur with my vehicle. My gut instinct told me Vu was not ethical and honest about my repairs. For peace of mind I would go elsewhere. Best Mechanic Experience Ever. I typically dread taking my car to the shop since I don't know much about cars and fear I'll get taken advantage of. I went between several mechanics before realizing that Vu and his team were the best people to service my vehicles. The thing that strikes me the most, is how transparent Vu is about your vehicle. For example, one mechanic refused to allow me to even see his employees do an oil change. An oil change, seriously. Let's make it clear, this place is damn straight affordable. Vu does not cut corners. Although he may do it if you insist, he strongly advises against poor quality parts. He will steer you into choosing parts that are slightly more expensive, but will last a lifetime longer. That's value over the long term. He never suggests any over-the-top product or services that will deliver negligible benefits. You know you can trust his advice on your vehicle. He's got your back. Let's talk costs also. His prices, as you can tell from other reviews, are very reasonable. Compared to other shops, they are very competitive. All the value and affordability in the world means jack if you have to keep coming back to him for service though. The work in this shop speaks QUALITY. Vu takes pride in the quality of his teams work, and it shows. I have been to this shop for many things to get fixed. They get fixed, and the repairs last. Vu and Master Auto Repair came highly recommended through my boyfriend, who lives very close by. I was staying over, and my car was 100 miles past due. Not wanting to wait until I was back in my own city to get an oil change, I decided to pay Vu a visit. He was very nice and worked fairly quickly. Granted, I came around 9 AM when he was only working on one other car. The whole thing took...maybe 20 to 30 minutes, if that. I just sat in the waiting room, watched a couple of the fish in his aquarium fight each other, and stared at his and his wife's lovely wedding picture. What I'm very impressed by is the price. Well I found this place by yelp reference, I live like 4blocks away from this business and never went there cuz I thought was a very professional and expensive. I was wrong, they very professional but not expensive, Mr Vu change my car brakes and resurfaced the rotors, all for $ 120.00 in only one hour. Other places wanted to leave my car 3-4 hrs and they charge $140.00-180.00, he is very professional. I asked if I need to change my sparkplug and he said, - - No, your car don't need it yet! Vu is an amazing man and I feel incredibly secure leaving my car in his hands. For a modern day mechanic he is fair, intelligent, and honest. An overall good man who knows what he is doing and for that I can't recommend him enough. When I bought my '96 Camry it had an audio set attached that people apparently break windows to steal. Vu taught me the dangers of leaving the audio set attached in a town like Pomona where people will break windows to make a quick buck. He taught me how to easily remove it and plug it back in. He then showed me various other aspects of my car that I could easily tend to and maintain to keep the old bugger running longer. No other mechanic has ever taken the time to do such teaching with me, and at times Vu felt very Doctor-like. Anyway, thanks for quickly replacing my broken radiator and teaching me about my car. I got an oil change here. It was quick and cheap! It was less than $30 and they did it right after I pulled up. I probably waited around 10 minutes from handing over the keys and signing off the receipt. They accept card but I don't think they accept checks. I highly recommend this place for an oil change. Vu is a awesome dude to goto for your car. I had a starter issue one morning. Couldn't replicate the issue when I had the car brought into his shop. Vu not only did NOT want to fix my car (cause he was unable to duplicate the situation). That is an awesome mechanic and one that definitely doesn't come often or far from between.
