I don't know how anyone can give this man Vu anything less then a 5. I have never met a more honest mechanic. The first time I went to him I asked for a grand tune up. He told me that I did not need it, he just offered me what I needed. Being a single mother on a very strict budget, I appreciated that. Then today, I drop my car off for the brakes to be done and an oil change. A normal mechanic would of done it... but he advised me that only my back were bad and I had a little time on my front brakes. As I sat there waiting for my ride, I observed the way he interacted with other customers and he does this for every one. He is fair. First come first serve... it does not matter who you are or how long you have been a customer... everyone gets treated the same and provided an honest estimate. I will ALWAYS take my cars to Vu. Charged $70 for a diagnostic test for my check engine light and wanted to charge me another $80 to fix it. I took my car to another mechanic who managed to get the light to turn off without a charging me more than $30 and that's including the diagnostic test. read more

Went in for a smog check on my old beater car and decided that I wanted to get an alignment too. Dropped off my car and came back a bit later and the smog check passed but Vu recommended against the alignment as my car would just come out of alignment because of how work down my steering assembly was. This shows professionalism and honesty on Vu's part. He could've just aligned it and charged me up but he didn't want to. Great place. Definitely recommend. read more

I came by one day, after work and the main guy helped me out in less than 10 mins. Just need a headlight replaced on my SUV, not only did he do it in like 5 mins but the price of labor was very reasonable and even helped me to replace my parking lights too for no cost. Come for a smog check since its close by and I am new to the area pull the car into the station the guy hood up my car about 10 minutes say my car failed say the car is not cycle not complete charge me around $45, so I drive around for a day then come back then he say let me check see if it's ready，he use a small scan tool hood up my car say ok it's ready . At that point I was thinking why didn't he use that scan tool in the first place and not waste my time and charge me the $40 then charge me another $30 after it pass . He could of say I check the car if not ready charge $10or $20 that's took less than 1 minute . I know it's business but make $10or $20 less then a 1 minute that's pretty good and don't waste people's time pretend like you trying to pass it read more

Been there around 3-4 times. The dudes are honest as far as mechanics go. They even let me bring my own parts and only charged me for the labor. One time, I even went for an alignment and they told me to "get the hell out of here, your car doesnt need it. " ---That was not a direct quote--- . Go in the morning when no one else is there. Probably one of the most honest auto shops I've been to! Was in desperate need to change my rear brakes and rotors and I couldn't wait to go my usual place since it's not in my area. I yelped auto shops around my work to get it done asap on a Monday morning. I own a Mercedes and usually to change it with original parts would cost me much more, but Vu assured me his after market parts will work just fine, comes with warranty and the cost was literally shocking since I was used to the price I usually pay. Dropped my car off at 9 am and got my car back at around lunch time. Vu test drove it around the block to make sure it was good to go. It's been about 3 weeks since Vu did my brakes and so far I've has no issues what so ever with this after market part. Will definitely be back for an oil change or something. Thanks Vu! read more

Vu is simply the best. Been here a few times now and so has my girlfriend and we have had an awesome experience every time. I just went in yesterday to get a smog check and oil change and it only came out to $85!!! Last oil change I had to go somewhere else and that cost me $70 alone. And my girlfriend went in to get her brakes done after another shop told her the front rotors needed to be replaced and he told her they did not need to be changed only the pads. its a good feeling knowing your mechanic isn't trying to do con you into doing extra work. cant recommend this shop enough!! read more

Every once in a while you get lucky and find an honest mechanic. The car was quickly repaired for almost half of what others quoted. We found the shop by a fluke, since my kids live so close and it was their car being repaired but I live 70 miles away and won't think twice in taking my car here to be serviced. The Mechanics here are Excellent! They are helpful and the prices are little cheaper than average depending the labor. Anyways my car kept turning off due to my camshaft sensor was malfunctioning and after the repair, the mechanic named Vu fix my car but also showed me parts that needed to be replace(His not lying because my other mechanic says the same parts that Vu said needed to be replace too)Unlike some other mechanics I know, once done its done, they just want your money but this mechanics here are great, I had no problem going here and costumer service is excellent, always pick up calls. My mom used to schedule my oil changes at all the big name tire places. I've paid up to $60 for full synthetic. I found this place on yelp. The big companies always seem like they charge you way too much. I own a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, but somehow big companies always want to charge me $50 and to do extra work. No i want an oil change, not a wash, rub down, vacuuming.. Etc. Master Auto Repair is simple and comfortable, i've never felt like i'm getting ripped off. I am a young woman, and the guy who works here is very nice, doesn't try to sell me anything more than i need. The prices are also much more affordable, i will continue to come here on my lunch break to get oil changes. I'd much rather support a family type business than those scavengers that work at the big tire companies! read more

They have done everything from replace a ball joint to removing and install a 350 Engine Four bolt main in my 1998 GMC Suburban. Can't say enough about these guys. I bring in all my parts and they just charge me labor. I have done busienss with many other shops but since doing business with them....I'm a loyal customer. The mechanic Mr. Vu changed both my oil and brakes for my Honda last year when I was visiting my family. He was extremely friendly and professional and was recommended to me by a friend. I am visiting my family again for the holiday and I took my Honda to him again for a tune up and oil change bc while driving to my parent's house my check engine light came on. So I decided to take my car to him to check it out. He let me know that it just needed a tune up. Since I was there I also asked him to do an oil change. And he gave me a great deal for the tune up and oil change. I am always happy to give him my business because he treats everybody fair and doesn't try to take advantage of people like some of the othe mechanics I have visited in the past. Before I begin this review I will say that this is my first time reviewing anything on yelp AND definitely one of the few times i will hands down recommend a shop. I came in because I had been hearing an odd noise from my back tire and was worried something bad could come of it. When I came in I was seen right away, even though busy they made time to see every customer and it was apparent that there was a serious effort put for that. One of the first customers I saw pay was told he was wasn't charged for a part of the repair that some places would charge for, when he reached to his pocket again he was told there was no need. To this I sat skeptical, a mechanic who tells you to put away your wallet? Yeah... maybe. The original diagnosis for the noise in my car was that a bearing was beginning to fail and making a noticeable amount of noise, the total cost was estimated to be around $290 after labor. Even though I hadn't planned on paying so much, I found myself stuck in the position of going for the repair (I'll be driving across the country in 2 days). However my luck turned, when they took off the back wheel they saw that the problem wasn't a faulty bearing, just a bad tire that wouldn't tighten all the way! A simple fix but one I would not have seen, and one that some mechanics may not mention after a $300 bill. They sent me on my way without so much as a charge for labor leaving me so dumbfounded I spent another 15 minutes on their comfortable couches writing up this review.
