I've only been here once, so this my reaction to one time in the day of the business. I ordered the "Bacon Burger combo" and I have to admit I didn't read the details (what comes on the burger). It surprised me that the burger had no lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion. My fault for not reading the menu more carefully. The burger tasted good, cheese was melted, it tasted good. They had a sign that said, food "made to order", which made me hopeful, why can't other fast food places realize that serving hot, fresh food is all we ask for. We don't need avant garde menu selections, beautiful food that looks like the poster on your window, just give us food made within two to three minutes of our order. Or better yet, "made to order". The French fries looked fabulous, but we're room temperature and had started to get hard. Ate a couple, threw the rest in the bag. Based on that one time, I will not return. A lesson for all restaurants. read more

We went to the location of Burger Meister newly opened in Des Moine, WA. On April 2,2023,my sister got food poisoning from a burger loaded with egg, hot link.etc. She received food poisoning after eating it. None of the workers had on gloves handling the food. I didn't get sick because I had the bacon cheese burger. There is no phone number to call to report this. May call and he health department. read more

Came here for soft opening-- we might come back to try it out again. First off buns were stone cold... I think it would be a great idea to warm or toast them. French fries were not hot as well, it tasted pretty stale and again cold. The ranch sauce was really off. It was more like an extra peppery ranch. You can see visually all the pepper. (Not recommend for kids because it may be too spicy for them, definitely had a kick!) The burgers were nothing special and didn't really stand out. Again because the burger was cold, the cheese wasn't even melted. Giving that this is soft opening-- I understand that things won't be perfect-- but the rating is based on our food today. read more

I work across the street and have been to every food establishment near by for my lunchtime. This place has been my GO-TO now! I come here at least 3-4 times a week....and now got my boss liking it. My personal favorites are the MBM burger and the Spicy Meister Burger. Recently tried the fried catfish sandwich....FINGER LICKING GOOD! Fries are made from fresh potatoes....nice and salty. I've been doing tree work at Highline college for the past month and drive by this place almost everyday. The color scheme and the mascot.... is awesome. The mascot looks like a bad guy from Dick Tracy or something. The place is called Master Burger Meister. Hahaha Meister is German for Master. Master Burger Master. I absolutely love that. It's a new restaurant but it already has some sort of sentimental value in my heart. My brother and I decided to finally try it out. We ordered the title burger of the restaurant for our first try, as we always do. The Master Burger. It has all the regular fixin's, with a perfectly cooked egg, bacon and some spicy sausage. It was a little overwhelming, but the quality was good and the price was fair. The french fries were decent, good portion. We ordered from the drive thru, not sure if the dining area is open yet. We could tell it was made to order and the wait time wasn't bad at all. The customer service was on par with fast food service. I don't normally travel through Des Moines, but I will always think of this place and if I get a chance, i will return. I really hope these guys can pull through. Went to this place on a lark because of the purple Zoot suited mascot. The scent upon opening the door inspired great hope. I had the Burger Master Meister combo which came with a large bag of fries. I had a ways to drive home so the fries were only lukewarm by the time I ate the first. Oh delight. It was really tasty, in that southern so bad for you but sooo good kinda way. The burger didn't look like much but the taste... over the top. I love burgers and have had and mostly really enjoyed many very fancy ones, but this one, this humble-looking burger, was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I was shocked, no lie. Absolutely DISGUSTING. The fries were soggier than McDonalds reheated fries. The burger was a grease trap. As in clogged arteries waiting to happen. I so wanted to find another burger place nearby that would come close to Burger Express but I have yet to find that. Never again will I try a place without first checking reviews. read more

Finally stopped here to try shrimp po boy sandwich and it was a big fail for me. Only a few over fried shrimp in an oversized hoagie bun. A few more shrimp pieces would make a big difference..Took a couple bites and couldn't finish. I had an MBM Burger here, & it was well beyond expectations. Very high quality meat, to the point I pulled the sandwich open. So much better & thicker than any other fast food. I would pay a fortune for this quality of beef in a grocery store. It had a great variety of toppings & housemade sauces, including fresh vegetables. Fantastic fries without so much oil as usual. They cook to order, so expect to wait (briefly) for a great meal, vs. an instant meal cooked earlier. The staff member at the window was so sweet, & kept me apprised, but again, surprisingly fast for fresh cooked. I can't see going anywhere else, when I get a burger craving. read more

I always pass by this place on my way home from work. I saw them for quite some time before deciding to go. I'm glad I finally did. Came here one day after work and I thought it was be like any basic hamburger place but NOPE. I got the Meister burger or master burger. I saw it had hot links but thought I'd give it a try. I didn't even realize it had a fried egg until I got it, which I didn't mind at all. Let me just say, this hamburger was HUGE! It had bacon, egg, and hot links. I don't know what kind of sauce they use but it was great. The patty itself was also very big. This hamburger is definitely one of my top hamburgers I've ever tasted. Everything about it was perfect. The fries look like they are freshly cut there. The ranch was also amazing and I think it beats wingstop ranch! I went back again over the weekend and got a bacon cheeseburger and that was also amazing. I thought I would receive a small barely any bacon type of hamburger but again I was wrong. There was bacon in every bite and again perfect amount of mayo ketchup and all that. I definitely recommend that you try this place! It is a unique spot.
