Decent food though quite pricy for the quality. Would have expected the jumbo pretzel to be a bit more jumbo

Very flavorful beer and great food. Definitely would go back if in town again. Pretzel bites and beer cheese were best i have ever ver tasted!

My first experience here was subpar at best. The burger lacked flavor, but the fries were clearly fresh/hand cut. I sat at the bar, gazing upon roughly 30 taps. I asked for something that was theirs, to which the bartender replied, "they're all ours." Apparently, this place at least at one point was attempting to be the largest brewer in all of Alaska. They may have succeeded. Other breweries I've visited in the state usually cap at 10-15 options. Go with the Arctic Warrior and take a 6 pack of cans to go if you enjoy it as much as I do. Supposedly, a percentage of the sales of this particular beer goes to support our vets. The second time I went back here was better than the first. I split two different halibut meals, both of which were absolutely delicious. The part that makes this place oddly unique is that there aren't many brew houses in Alaska, and by that I mean places that make their own beer and serve their own food. Almost all breweries cannot serve food, which is why you see food trucks camped out at most breweries. Not here. They also have a ton of TVs for sports viewing. And the outdoor domes are a pretty cool touch, where you can get service as well.

Visiting Anchorage from Tucson and I wanted a moderate priced meal and bear. This location was located in a little questionable area, but had everything I was looking for. I visited in early June, and it was about 70 degrees out so a nice day. Inside is sports bar atmosphere more than a brewhouse, we were seated quickly. Almost all the seats including the booths are high seating so even slightly tall people your feet will not touch the floor. We visited early in the afternoon and it was only about 25 percent full. It seems most crowds are on major game days or evenings. Lots of beer choices, which are listed on a scannable QR code on every table. We had a Baked Cod and Halibut Fish Tacos, there were no issues and the food was served very warm. Our waitress often disappeared and only checked on us once or twice. Had to flag her down as she seemed distracted and spent a lot of time with one customer who she appeared to know. I don't blame the restaurant, other tables had better service and hiring in Alaska is very hard right now. It was moderately priced. There was a Ice Hockey game on which locals were watching. Not very loud, but also not very full. The menu only referenced pints, and half pints, but they do have flights. The beers were all decent, sometimes with a flight there will be an undrinkable one, but all were decent that I could see getting a pint. Looks like they also had a table dedicated to getting lottery tickets. I wouldn't mind coming back, but it would not be the top of my list as I need to explore Anchorage first. Not horrible, good beer, decent prices. But also nothing stood out.

Matanuska midtown is a great place to stop and grab a good pizza or burger with a friend. The atmosphere is very relaxing music & great and sometimes they have highlights on the big TV. The menu is pretty much the same from Eagle River Matuska, but there are some differences here all in all both places are relatively the same and I recommend both.

Date night success! This place is so fun. I like the look and layout of the place. We received friendly and attentive service. I love that we didn't feel rushed. Ok let's talk food. The gravy fries bomb. The garlic shrimp bomb bomb, with that lemon aioli yum. My husbands burger was cooked like he wanted it. I chose the fish and chips and upgraded my "chips" to gravy fries. Delicious absolutely! Drinks were wonderful. Oh and we had the beignets for dessert very tasty. I look forward to visiting again.

We were going to another recommended place but an hour and a half wait led us here. It was pretty busy but they got us a table right away. They had Trivia night starting and interesting other activities. They had an interesting Pub food menu. We got their version of bruschetta, which was triangles of good fried dough and a pile of grape tomatoes, olives and balsamic mixture. It was really good. We also got pastrami sliders and they were really good. Good beers. Service was a little slow and spotty, but it was busy. The entertainment from watching people axe throw was the unique experience of the night.

This was the best sourdough grilled cheese and potato bacon soup we've had! Wishing there was a Matanuska Brewing Co back home!!

I'm just gonna jump right in. The fries have a very nice cut to them but I feel like they aren't as crunchy as I would expect. Still ate them with ketchup though! The fish is cod and it's covered with the thickest batter I've ever seen on a piece of fish in my life. The jambalaya is really really good. The waiter was super sweet and stayed on top of everything. There was live music while we were there. While they weren't professionals it was still nice to have as background noise. Burger was pretty good, cheese was melted nicely & bacon was crunchy on the edges but softer middle. Very good.

The server after our server said there wasn't any table service

The band started 35 minutes late. The manager isn't even here for their event. They stopped food service at 9 or 9:30 AND table service for drinks and didn't even tell anyone to get in line so I got in a line ten deep with only TWO bartenders on! Then after the server told us that there's no table service we get up to the bar only to stand next to AN ACTUAL SERVER SERVING TABLES! Can you say shit show? I must say though that the band is sounding better and I can finally hear the guitar. Oh and I had to bus our table myself and the table next to us never got bussed the whole night.

I came in at a pretty quiet time and got seated instantly. It took about 10 minutes for the server to get to me. Apparently my table was hard to see and no one at the host desk let him know I was there. After that the service was great. I ordered the White Cheddar Matanuska Beef Burger. It came out pretty quick. The fries were a little soggy, but were seasoned well. The burger tasted like a frozen patty. Good thing it was smothered in cheese and bacon. The toppings were tasty. If I was in the neighborhood I would probably stop by again. It was a good value.

No almonds in this. Walnuts. Not an ingredient on the menu.

I'm so over this place. Once I ordered the spinach goat cheese salad no onions. Left work My lunch hour drove all the way up there got all the way back to the office and realized the salad was loaded with onions. I spent my entire lunch hour going back there to get the salad replaced. Not even so much as an apology in the restaurant. The owner sent me a note after I sent them an email and offered to get me a free salad to make up for it which I have never received. So I thought hey I've seen their commercials they're a struggling business during Covid I'm gonna go back and go buy myself another spinach and goat cheese salad. This time I checked it before I left and guess what not a speck of goat cheese. So I had to send it back. She tried to tell me it was hidden underneath but you can't hide these crumbles. Seriously it's part of the name of the salad put it on there. It also says it has almond slivers. I don't see any almonds in here just a container full of walnuts. Which is not even in a ingredient of this salad. It's not rocket science and if your kitchen cannot get a simple salad correct then maybe you should take it off your menu. Quit screwing your customers. And I should not have to ask for a fourth on it to go order! Is it really that hard for you guys? I will not be back. Even for free

    Poke nachos

This review is sort of hovering between 3-4 stars, but we'll grant some forgiveness due to today being Iditarod race day and it being absolutely packed. All our service was friendly, though cautionary (could be a long wait, food is over an hour, bartender is behind..., etc.) All that said, our 4-top was seated in under 10 minutes and our food was pretty swift. Charcuterie plates are pre-made, so no wait at all. As well, non-alc drinks came promptly. The rest of the food arrived in fits (Poke nachos, halibut tacos) and spurts (fish & chips and "table fries.) Side sauces were apologetically forgotten and by the time the food was eaten, we still hadn't seen our beer and cocktail orders. We asked about them after the second drop of food but the food-runner was underage and unable to follow-up. Once our original server returned, he explained that the backed up bar lost the ticket and they would fire them asap, which they did and the drinks were good. The porter was slightly heavier than expected based on its description, but it was solid. This location was rowdy tonight and the images projected behind the stage were a little juvenile (zombie cartoons.) But! The music was lovely (80s pop deep cuts) and I'm sure the live music that was planned for later in the night would've been great. Kudos to the staff for keeping their positive attitude and not getting derailed by the mayhem.

Does this place have fans now? We went last summer on a nice day and it was just way too warm inside

I did not see any fans. It was a average clear day about 62-64 degrees outside in first week of June. I would suspect without fans or a good AC it would be hot with a lot of people inside.

A good beer for sure and is a good pairing with fish and chips or a burger. Flavor highlights with this beer are sweet, strong and fruity but all in a well balanced way. It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."
