New restaurant just opened up in Henderson on eastern close to anthem hearing a lot about their food so I had to try them out . I went the night before, but they were out of ribs. It was their grand opening weekend so I said fine. I went the next day and ordered their ribs when it came out the box could not close because the size of the ribs it was ridiculous. It comes with two large scoops of rice and macaroni salad not a big fan of their macaroni salad, but it was good. The ribs were succulent. Delicious just the way I like them a little bit greasy and they had some additional sauce to pour on them. It's the best $17.75. I've spent in a long time I had to split my meal with a friend as I couldn't finish. It would definitely go again. read more

It lived up to the hype! This spot has been popping up on my Instagram feed and been on my list of places I'd like to try, even though I live in AZ. Well, today was the day. I'm in Vegas for the holiday and had to check it out. The portions are beyond generous, great flavor and friendly staff. I had to try the beef ribs, which is what they're known for. When I first tried Matiki it was awesome. The portions was a lot and their food can feed 2-3 people. The last time I ordered I was very disappointed the portion was not the same and the quality has gone down. I gave it another try but today was even worse. I bought 3 ribs but all of them has barely any meat. I called to let them know and the manager told me that's why I gave you 4 instead. Generous portions of protein (especially for that post workout meal), reasonably price, efficient / consistent / kind service, and of course extremely tasty (especially as an enjoyable post exam or long clinical shift treat). You really can't go wrong with the Big Kahuna plate which provides a huge sample of the chicken, beef and short ribs, along with salad, mac salad, and rice (note that this can easily be shared between 4-5 people. 3 if you're sharing with your bodybuilding bros post workout though. The food is always great, but lately the portions have gotten smaller and smaller. Also, it's like it's now being operated by nothing but teen boys that make women feel uncomfortable. I was called "beautiful" and "love" way too many times to count by the guy working the cashier and felt so uncomfortable, like I was being hit on. I never want to step foot in that place again. TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I called to place an order and clearly communicated that I was driving and on my way, yet they insisted on having my credit card number immediately. The person who answered said she would inform her manager. However, when I arrived 5 minutes later, I was informed that my order was canceled because I hadn't provided my credit card number. It's unacceptable that I wasn't called back to clarify this before I arrived, nor was I informed during the call that my order wouldn't be prepared. A great spot for some island home cooking. The space is big enough for dine in and the food is out quick for take out. They have a good size menu with all types of meats. The service is nice and very friendly. The lady made sure we had everything we needed for great meal and even gave me extra sauce, which I ended up using it all. They have alot of my hawaiian favorites. The chicken is grilled well and juicy. The musubi are all delicious but the spam mac eats like a whole meal. The main event here is Sam's plate, the beef ribs came piled high and the take out box barely closed. The ribs were cooked well and are tender. The portions are no doubt enormous but that doesn't make up for the quality of the food. The meat was dry and flavorless and the chicken was rubbery. Friends of mine keep telling me about this place and how I should go here since i really like beef ribs. SO glad i went. I had the #1 with rice and mac salad and I must say I was not disappointed.
