It's inside a mall, and I did not see any directories to point the way. Once we found it and sat down, I noticed the sign telling us to scan the QR code on the table to order. Honestly, that almost sent me right back out the door. I wanted an actual menu, not a tiny phone screen with lots of scrolling and submenus, especially since I had questions about the food. The atmosphere felt a bit impersonal at first, mostly because of the mall setting and the QR-code ordering system, but the friendly staff helped make it feel much more comfortable once we got settled. The two people working the front were both very pleasant, answered my questions, and made the whole experience feel much more welcoming. They had a decent IPA selection and a variety of bar foods (pizza, wings, appetizers). We ordered the arancini, fried cauliflower, and a pizza. The fried cauliflower was the surprise hit for me, especially with the garlic aioli. The arancini and pizza were also very good. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.

Ambiance is 5 stars, fire pit, outdoor seating, great location. Good wine list. Menu is pasta, pizza, salads, and pasta. The pizzas are thin crust and "fancy". They feature things like feta cheese or carmalized onions. We all agreed that the crust was amazingggg. But it was so thin and floppy that ingredients just slid off. But here's a hot tip- the kid menu pizzas are totally full size pizzas, which the waiter failed to mention. So 1 cheese pizza could easily feed 2-3 little kids. We ordered one for each kid and went home with a TON of cheese pizza leftovers. The zucchini fries are tasty but served with an aoli that tasted like straight mayonnaise. Dinner for 4 , plus tax and tip came to $150. We're going with a solid 3 stars. An overall decent experience, but nothing to get too excited about.

Service is great, food comes out quickly, and everything is yummy! The arancini is mine and my partner's favorite appetizer. The piña calmada is a great mocktail option for those who prefer not to drink! The pizza flavors are amazing! I would say the dough/crust is not as crispy and I know some people enjoy their pizzas that way. Make sure to ask for it well done if that's the case! Nonetheless, everything was perfect. Their chocolate chip cookies are to die for (make sure to ask for it warmed up).

"Square Pie Guys" (SPG) has arrived at Local Kitchens @ Mill Valley!…read more Now, I usually order "The Big Von," but I decided to try something new and ordered the "Mush-O-Roni." Price $23.50, Sauces extra. I ordered using the Local Kitchens App, and it gave me an estimated "ready" time. I always pickup my own food, so my review is based on food that's fresh from the kitchen. I went inside early to check the order status board. The young lady at the counter greeted me, and presented my order. It was warm outside, and they were giving away free mini ice cream sandwiches. Now, the free ice cream was very nice, but eating it ruined my appetite. Geez, I could only eat one slice of pizza. YES! One slice of pizza is a quarter piece. If you're on a diet, you better stick to one slice. I know the calorie content, but I can't share it in a review. Why not? When I did research for the Yelp review of SPG-Oakland, I asked their main office for the nutritional info. They said I can have it only for personal use, so no sharing. So how was the Mush-o-Roni? I still like the Big Von best. The Mush-o-Roni is not as salty as a pepperoni pizza. The mushrooms give it a juicy topping, on top of that chewy thick center dough. The edges still have that characteristic crispiness and rich flavor. The sweetness of the Hot Honey is there, but I don't get any spicy heat. It might of been lost in the spicy taste of the pepperoni. Also, all the mushrooms give the pizza a dark appearance, so at first it looked burnt. The cup pepperoni pieces were a bit on the crispy side. Well, those are my observations of The Mush-o-Roni Pizza and SPG@ Local Kitchens-Mill Valley. Try it for yourself. Some might say $23.50 is a bit pricey for what looks like a small pizza. One pizza should be shared by two people. -------------------------------- I have been following the Local Kitchens brand for over two years, and have been to every location in the San Francisco Bay Area.

An employee tried to explain it when we arrived, but after we chose to sit inside, we were first seated in the wrong area and then moved to the back where the pizza is served. Not exactly the smoothest start. The food was good, but a bit pricey for what it was. We ordered the mushroom pierogies (which was misspelled on the menu) and a pizza. Both were tasty, but neither was memorable enough to make me feel the prices were justified. Service, on the other hand, was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. The strangest part was the seating. We were placed next to a service area hidden behind a curtain, except the curtain did nothing to block the noise. We could hear all the conversations going on behind it, and there seemed to be a lot of unnecessary drama happening back there. It gave the whole meal an oddly uncomfortable vibe. So yes, the restaurant is nice and the food is good, but the experience felt weird enough that I left unsure I would return.

Pizzas were good but not spectacular - son of yeti pizza : pizza could have used more time in the oven - no crisp to the crust or bottom and still doughy below the toppings. Love the toppings otherwise - specialized pizza : this also needed more time to crisp. Enjoyed the mozzarella, fresh basil and sausage
