The wings were so plump and juicy!! The sauce was really like a glaze for the soy garlic, I've never had a soy garlic that tasted like this before. It had a hint of cinnamon or something, ít wasn't bad just not familiar to me. The glaze like sauce stuck really well onto the chicken wing. This place has been on my list for a minute since I'm usually curious about Korean fried chicken places. 7 piece was about $18, pretty big pieces super juicy inside and really good flavor! It has a very sticky candy-like coating to the wings rather than saucy but definitely not dry. The rose tteok-bokki was our favorite. Went on a Friday night right when they opened. The restaurant filled up within the first 30-45 minutes of opening. Ordered the jampong (seafood spicy noodle soup) and original chicken wings with sauce on the side. It took a long time for the food to come out and they didn't come out together. Jampong came out first (after about 30 minutes) and then we waited an additional period of time for the chicken to come out. Jampong had a smokey broth flavor to it and the noodles were chewy. Good jampong considering there are no other places nearby that serve them. Chicken was odd... the batter tasted like it was overcooked or sat in oil for a long time. The batter didn't stick to the chicken so when you took a bite, you only got a bite of batter. It was like the batter was puffed so far away from the chicken. Hard to explain, but it wasn't like what other reviews said about the chicken. The wait time is probably long because of how delayed the food comes out. As soon as we walk in, we notice that the restaurant is about 20% full but with no waiter/front of house staff in sight. We waited at the cashier for about 10 minutes and didn't see a single soul. As other yelpers mentioned, the service here is really slow so I wouldn't come here in a rush. We opted for takeout since we had our pup with us. It was a late lunch 1pm-ish on a Saturday and our food took 30 minutes to come out. So probably the worst downside here is the service. *The jajamyeon was okay in terms of flavor. I found the sauce to be really bland in taste and quite average. The noodles were firm and chewy but difficult to overlook such an underwhelming sauce missing that essential strong black bean profile. *Rose tteokbokki was average as well. I was expecting more depth in flavor but it was mostly just rich and creamy. It was missing a kick of spice or anything special in flavor. The only protein was sausages which this dish usually comes with fish cake slices at least. The ramen noodles were also on the soggy side which was disappointing. This place deserves all the hype. Because of this, you'll have to wait. When I came in on 5/29 evening, i waited for almost 40 minutes. BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT. The spot is packed and for a good reason. I came to try the rose tteokbokki and it was soooooo good. Flavor, the creaminess, and the abundance was great. There's a server who legit runs the whole floor. He was taking care of EVERYONE. He acknowledged that it was super busy and a bit of a wait but he made sure he got to everyone. Nice restaurant with plenty of parking in a small plaza. I came on a Saturday around noon and there was plenty of tables occupied and a few empty tables where patrons left. Very busy surprisingly despite them opening at 11:00am. They had plenty of to-go orders as well. My friends and I ordered the original fried chicken (small 7 piece), jajangmyeon, and jjampong. There was basic banchans which was nice and they refilled it as well. The kimchi and cucumber kimchi were deff delicious. The chicken was amazing and came out piping hot. The jjampong had plenty of seafood but my friend thought the broth was a little bland. Overall, the foods delicious. Korean restaurant that recently switched owners! We stumbled along this place by chance since we were craving fried chicken. It's a smaller restaurant with booths and tables and there were plenty of people when we came by. Banchan was deliciously flavored, kimchi rich but still with a bite! Not too fermented (for my liking). We tried their jjampong and jjajangmyeon but thought both were just ok! The noodles were a little overcooked. Would probably skip these next time. I was craving some good Korean food so I went here with my daughter. Saw this place on IG, usually the places I visit when I see on OG are not the best but Iist say this was not too bad. Original and soy garlic Korean fried chicken - the original had a little too much batter but still tasted good. The soy garlic was yum. The chicken inside was nice and juicy for both. This place surprised me. It's in a little plaza with a parking lot and doesn't look like there's much going on. The restaurant itself is pretty small with an average table size for 4, maybe 6 if they put some tables together. It comes with ketchup and they don't have ranch in the house. It reminds me a lot of McDonald's fries, without the saltiness. Their japchae glass noodles was probably one of the best I've had. It was super flavorful and the noodles were "smooth". We also got their menbosha which is their shrimp toast that is deep fried. It comes with a side of sweet and sour sauce to dip and it was nice and soft on the inside with the shrimp filling but crunchy on the outside with their deep fried toast. I like crunchy bread so this was such a good appetizer to have. Their corn cheese was what I came here for and I was slightly disappointed. The cheese was sweet and the bacon on top added an extra elevated smokiness that I enjoyed and never had before on corn cheese, BUT the corn itself was dry, making it my least favorite dish, unfortunately. I've been wanting to try this spot for a while and was not disappointed. It's a decent size location great for date night or a get together with friends. From the moment we sat down, our waiter was attentive and checked in with us throughout the duration of our meal. He even answered my questions about what some of the side dishes were and gave recommendations (the white radish with the wings was a great pairing). If I remember correctly, the only new thing I tried on the menu was the ja jang myeon. Based on my past review, I commented that the batter for the fried chicken is very thick. Bummed to say that things have not changed, the batter is still really thick. Yes, the thick, flavorful batter is really enjoyable but not the healthiest. Is it just me or the noodles for the japchae is pretty undercooked? I might be wrong on this take; maybe traditionally its supposed to be pretty dense and chewy. The japchae noodles haven't changed at all from my last visit. My personal favorite was the ja jang myeon. First time trying it, and I love it. I love the generous amount of sauce in the dish, and the flavor of the sauce itself is really rich. It didn't feel heavy and I didn't feel too bloated afterwards. The cream tteokbokki this time AND last time did not let me down. The generous amount of tteokbokki, and the yummy sliced sausages; love love love! If I order it next time (I probably will!), I'll remember to ask for extra noodles. ALSO!!! If you're sharing this plate of cream tteokbokki, one serving of noodles is simply not enough. I was sharing a plate with the fam, and the noodles where out as quick as a blink. I think they only put in one packet-size of noodles, if you get my drift. Went to this place yesterday for lunch, and imo this is some of the best Korean food I've had in the US. Firstly, while yes, it is a pretty small dining area, I did enjoy the atmosphere and layout of the seating. I also liked how there was a container full of chopsticks and clean spoons. The server was also friendly and helped my mom when she was ordering by explaining how spicy the dish might be, and she was quick to bring the side dishes of kimchi and pickled radishes too. When it came to the food, I did compare it to what I had in Korea, and I honestly thought that the soy garlic chicken was even better than what I ate in Korea. The sauce had the perfect balance of danjan danjan (sweet salty sweet salty I believe), and evenly coated around the chicken. Plus the skin was super crunchy and the meat tender and juicy. It paired well with the kimchi fried rice, which was delicious by itself. I also really enjoyed the cheese ball. Crispy, chewy, and cheesy. I don't know what the powder was, but it complimented the cheese balls nicely. Lastly the jajangmyeon. Absolutely loved it! The noodles were cooked perfectly, and there was enough pork to balance the cucumbers and onions. My favorite part was the sauce! There was so much of it leftover and I didn't want to waste it, so I started dipping the cheese balls in the sauce as well. I would highly recommend this place! The food was good and very comforting korean food. The service was fairly quick and easy to order.
