They even have a cute robot that will bring out the food and drinks. The food is top notch but my go to is the vegetarian pho. It's just a cozy dish. We chose this restaurant for my son's birthday and deeply regret it. The service was so appallingly bad that it completely overshadowed the entire evening. Unacceptable Waits: We had a long wait just to order and another excessively long wait for our food. Several items we ordered were forgotten and only showed up after we were completely finished with our meal. A simple request for a drink was ignored three separate times. After all that, the food itself was mediocre at best--honestly, no different in quality from Panda Express. I found the ambiance to be very overstimulating. The atmosphere was chaotic, with waiters constantly running everywhere and other diners looking around impatiently for their food. We left feeling frustrated and incredibly let down. We have been to Maui Pho multiple times at the previous location on Ming. This is our first time at the new location on Stockdale and I absolutely LOVE it. I loove the interior design and the comfortable vibes the place gives. It's just a relaxing atmosphere and almost Cafe like where I can come and do homework and drink coffee. This is my first visit to their new locations, it is bright, airy and comfortable. I had a gracious greeting from Sarah at the front desk and was seated immediately. The wait staff works as a team and as always My servers were friendly and prompt. My meal came out quickly. I ordered the Special Pho which has beef, chicken & shrimp, just yummy! This new location is contemporary, bright & airy. I love the attention to detail. Each table has the condiments in a cute little wooden tray, a small vase with fresh flowers and lovely gray soft cloth like napkins. There are faux plants placed around the room, beautiful wallpaper with a stylized flower pattern and Pretty rattan lighting. The main dining area has booths along the walls. Table seating in the center of the room and a counter seating area for those dining alone. There is a second room that can accommodate up to 40 people. We're glad we got there right at 11am when they open because at 11:30 the place was completely packed. I think our server was Amy she looked laser focused and did a good job because she had so many tables. The food runner was pleasant and helpful. Cassidy the host was the best of the best. She was super friendly. Always smiling and offered to take a picture of our family at the Christmas tree. We loved the old place food. My go to is the honey walnut shrimp but this time was no bueno. More like mayonnaise shrimp. Young Caucasian cook redid it and it was just like the old place. The pho was a huge disappointment. The meat was gray, almost green, and my husband couldn't eat even a quarter of it. The beef pad thai was equally underwhelming: bland, unbalanced, and nearly inedible. It wasn't the spice level that was the problem, but that spice was the only flavor it had. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the waitress's solution was to bring us a to-go box, rather than attempting to address the situation or offer an alternative. It was obvious from the untouched plates that we weren't taking the food home. The single star is solely for the cookies given at the end. Those were flavorful, and honestly the only redeeming part of the meal. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for the rest of the experience. What an upgrade!!! The new location looks gorgeous and modern on the inside. The clean colors and fun touches of color are perfect for family dinners, dates, or drinks with friends! I've been here 3 times now in the last 2 weeks and each time I've been so lucky to get Amy as my server! She's efficient and extremely helpful when it comes to trying to figure out what we want to order. We started with the Ube Horchata Cocktail and Lychee Martini both are on the sweeter side but they're delicious! I believe a wide variety of their house made cocktails are soju based so the alcohol flavor is not very pungent but it sneaks up on you. My favorite appetizers are the soup dumplings. They're very rich in flavor and come very soupy! I love how the lunch specials come with the most delicious egg flower soup and wonton chips. This is such a simple soup but it's definitely a highlight! It's so perfectly seasoned and the texture is the perfect thickness. My must order is the combo bun bowl. For me it's the perfect size to share between 2 people especially if you get an appetizer. The crispy shrimp is my favorite protein on the bun bowl because of how crunchy and well seasoned they are. I brought a party of 9 here for Mother's Day brunch. We were excited to try the dimsum but the $9 per 3-4 pieces of dim sum was a little pricey to us! That ended up to be okay because their regular menu was still being offered and we got to try more delicious items on the menu. I hope someday they could find a way to bring dim sum to Bakersfield! I love their soup dumplings and am eying their spicy wontons next! I'm already looking forward to going back. Definitely a must try spot and great addition to our town's food scene! read more

Delicious pho noodle soup in a huge bowl! It's larger than large. It's missing a star because the soup broth is not piping hot. I will go back, but before I order I need to make sure the soup broth is hot before hand. Otherwise, if they reheat the soup with the noodle in it, the noodle may get soggy. The waitress was rude and cold. I ordered the ribs, chicken skewers and my husband the Katsu chicken. The meat on each plate unfortunately was very tough and flavorless. The ribs were awful.
