This was the WORSE service experience. We checked in at 7:25p and checked checked out at 8:27 with no cars in the bays. It took over an hour with no other cars in the bays. We needed to replace 2 tires. I spoke with the service mgr at 8p asking why the tires are just being replaced. Kevin Story asked me if I wanted "fast or safe." Iris tried to assist me in determining the delay, but Kevin Story made it real difficult with his attitude. You NEVER want to hear from a tire company saying do you want safety or fast work. I witnessed the techs not wearing eye protection and no gloves. Kevin said the delay was that a person was on break. Not sure why as a manager you send someone o break at closing. There was grease on our steering wheel and no cover for the seats which means that they sat on our clothes seats with their dirty and greasy uniform. Kevin said one hour for two tire changes and an wheel alignment is consistent with standards. I told hom I didn't ask for an alignment, then he said we didn't do an alignment at that point I was confused. This tire store is near our house and that's the reason for the visit. read more

Had a leak in my tire and they were the closest shop. I purchased 4 tires and waited over 2 1/2 hours only for the manager to tell me they can't put my Tesla on the lift and that if I wanted to remove the tire, they will give me a floor jack and do it myself. Unbelievable. After driving home and removing the other 3 wheels, I took the remaining tires in my van the next day to have them mount the tires. Upon arrival, they told me 1 of the 3 tires was missing. Now I have to waste more time and come back another day. Mavis did an alignment and managed to disable critical driving functions. I had to drive my car cockeyed for a few days. After requesting a refund, the manager Justin said he has to get permission from corporate first. It's been 2 weeks. Went to talk with him in person and got nothing but excuses. It's a holiday, my computer was down, etc. I emailed corporate 3 times and was completely ignored. My 2024 Kia Soul needed new tires. Chris was my service technician. He checked the car out, and it needed a front-end alignment, which I knew. Additionally, he checked my brakes and stated that Carvana had put new shoes on the car, and the brakes were in good shape. He did notice that the brake fluid had not been changed. It didn't look good. He flushed the system and filled it with new brake fluid. The bill was over $1,000, but he offered me a discount, bringing the price down to $929. Chris also told me that the tires I bought (Goodyear) had a $160 rebate and gave me the form to send in. The tire model was not included in the rebate. He credited my credit card for $160.00 He went above and beyond. The place is excellent, and I am now a loyal customer who will always return. GREAT PLACE & SERVICE. Kudos to Chris. read more

I would NEVER go to this Mavis tire. Checking in was an issue as they had one person and were going extremely slow. They checked my car and wrote up the tire to replace. After awhile they came and asked me to clean my console looking for the tire lock. They did not know where it was as it was in my trunk. They then tried putting the tire lock in the glove box after and I had to ask them to please return it to where it was located in the car. After 45 minutes of them doing nothing while employees were joking in the back I asked if they could get to it more quickly. Another 45 minutes go by and they say I they are done. I walk out and the tire is still flat. I had to bring it to the employees attention. They were confused and didn't know where my other tire was and gave some story about how it had an issue so I followed them as they found it and it was fine. They didn't even look at the tires and followed the incorrect paperwork after 1.5 hours and did not switch out the right tire blaming the incorrect paperwork. They worked to correct and when I called to let me husband know the manager got on the phone and LIED to him stating he saw the issue and brought it to my attention. His back was to my car and he was joking with employees out back and he noticed nothing. Yet he was confident to lie right to my face. Between being slow, not doing the right paperwork, not knowing where tire locks are located. not switching out the correct tire, losing the original tire for a time, and lying about the service I would NEVER recommend anyone going to the MAVIS Suwannee location. I scheduled an appointment at Mavis Tires Suwanee for a wheel Alignment. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the tech at the counter. We went over my service. She asked if I was waiting with the car. I replied yes and took a seat. The facility was quiet, clean and inviting. Within 45 minutes, my car was ready. The only thing that the young lady didn't do, was to keep me updated on the status of the service. I will use Mavis Tires Suwanee again and I would recommend this location. read more

Over the past year, I have used the services of this service center, purchasing two sets of new tires and having my cars serviced multiple times. However, my recent experience left me in shock. I approached them with a request to balance the wheels and swap the rear and front tires. When I came to pick up my car, I discovered that the front wheels were placed on the right side, and the more worn-out rear tires were also on the right side of the car. This was absolutely incorrect and made the car less safe on the road. I returned to the service center, but they told me that they couldn't correct it on the same day and could only do it on Monday at 12 o'clock. This, in itself, was unprofessional, especially considering the rainy weather in the area, and such a tire arrangement reduces handling and road safety. When I arrived on Monday at 12 o'clock, they once again claimed that they didn't have the time and suggested scheduling it for another day. I explained that I couldn't wait any longer, and my wife uses this car to take our child to school, which is not safe. They told me to come back at 4 o'clock in the evening. Upon my arrival at 4 o'clock, the manager once again tried to tell me that they didn't have the time. After some arguments, I took my car back and was told that the work would take about 1.30 hours. To my surprise, when I passed by at 5:20, I saw that my car was untouched and still in the same place. I entered the service center and began asking other customers when my car would be ready, expressing my frustration. Finally, after another call, my car was ready in 30 minutes, and I came to pick it up at 6. The service receptionist claimed that I was being rude because I expressed my frustration after numerous requests and three visits, and he stated that he didn't want to deal with me anymore, whether on a personal or company level. This entire situation does not reflect professionalism in terms of both the service and customer relations. I am confident that nobody checked my complaint regarding the poor wheel balancing, as I received no response on this matter. I have noticed similar reviews before mine, and I believe that sharing this information will help other people. Hopefully, the manager who served me will gain an understanding of my perspective through this feedback. read more

Absolutely awful service. If I could give them negative stars, I would. No wonder this Mavis Tire has so many negative reviews. And please note, this review is coming from a past loyal customer. I've used Kaufman Tires for most of our auto repairs since 2001. Mavis purchased Kaufmann a few years ago and over time I've notice service has dropped with each visit. This last visit was the straw that broke the camels back, and I will now drive past Mavis Tire to take my vehicles to some other repair place. Here's what happened... I took my car in for an oil change. After the oil change, when I got into my car, I was surprised to see black finger prints all over the inside of the driver side door and steering wheel. Once I got home, I also saw a large amount of oil dripping down the front bumper. I cleaned the oil off the front bumper before thinking about taking a picture, but I did get a picture of the oil once I popped the hood (see picture). I was irritated, but that's it. However, within the next few days I realized my car was leaking oil. I keep this car in my garage, so it was easy to see. So I took the car back to Mavis and, after examination, they realized they were the ones who caused the leak. They "repaired" the problem. When I got into the my car this time, again there were black hand marks on the inside of the driver side door as well as a large black streak on my floor map. Also, near the back tire on the driver side, there were dozens of small oil drops on the car. I planned to call the next morning to complain, and when I moved my car (just to check if there was an oil leak), I saw a huge circle of oil under my car (see picture). I took the car in for a 3rd time and this time they explained the problem was something else. When I explained that there was no oil leaking BEFORE I brought the car in to Mavis and that the oil leakage after the first visit was small and now the oil leakage after the second visit was huge, they said there was no way this leakage could be caused by them. When I asked how it could go from no leaking to massive leaking after visiting them, the manager actually said to me, "Sometimes these things just happen." One last comment. Not once in this entire process did any Mavis representative ever apologize. "I'm sorry" was never uttered. My recommendation -- do NOT, under any ctake your automobiles to Mavis Tire. read more

Superb Customer Service and had my safety first and foremost in mind! I took my car in for a tire that looked to be leaking air. They immediately identified a screw was in the tire. They were busy and I was unable to go back later in the day so I dropped it off the next day. But, before I left they filled the tire up with air as a safety precaution to get me by until the next day. They were pleasant and professional from the start of the interaction and that is what I've always experienced taking my cars to them. Highly recommend these folks!!! read more

If you go in ask for her and she'll make sure she not only gives you a great price but also updates and educates you on what is being done to your vehicle. She also didn't try to upsell me on any other services which I thought going on was going to happen. We have used Mavis in the past in Johns Creek, GA and decided to stop by the Suwanee, GA location. We got lucky the sales person Dream, was spot on! I needed four tires. My go to place is always Costco. Since my tires are ridiculously expensive I decided I needed to price shop. I was actually shocked when Kauffman gave me the best price. They beat Costco's price by $119 for the four and beat Discount Tire's price by $364. I spoke to Justin, the store manager. He ordered my tires and called me the very next morning to schedule a time that was good for me. They took great care of me and kept me in the loop on what was being done with my car. This is the third time I went to the Mavis Tires and Brakes store on 4075 McGinnis Ferry Road, Suwanee, GA. The first time my hand truck had deflated tires and I could not inflate them at home with my tire inflator. They put a strap around the tire to help set the bead and inflated each tire for me. The other two times they removed either a nail or a screw and repaired my tire. For all services they refused to accept payment. Awesome people. Recommend them highly. Sitting uneasily in the waiting room with no idea when my car would be completed , and listening to another employee speaking rudely to another customer on the phone, and googled reviews, which weren't good, so I left. Went to Discount Tire which was a breath of fresh air, friendly employees, information provided, text sent to my phone so I was updated as to the repair in real time, and car was done within 5 minutes of the time they estimated! Text received that car was done and to pick up at front door! All went like clockwork. But when I had to take my car someplace else because I was still have problems with the Coolant Leak, I found out that Mavis didn't even change the water pump or any of the repairs they said they did. I called this particular Mavis location and Ken answered the phone. Ken was calm and cool and said bring the car right over. He brought the car into the bay immediately, found the problem with the tire immediately and fixed it without removing the tire. Refilled air and checked pressure. I was on my way. This is exemplary service that reminded me of the days when companies were not should handed. Fantastic job Ken and all the servicemen in this shop location. I've been to this tire shop twice since it's been owned by Mavis (my family would ALWAYS go to Kauffman) and let me tell you- BOTH times I have left this place- I got in my car with the "low tire pressure" indicator light on. ?????? isn't this supposed to be a TIRE REPAIR place? The first time i came here was because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. They called to inform me they couldn't remove the tire because of the specIal lock and couldn't locate the key... I said OK nbd and when I came to get it- not only was tire nearly flat (they couldn't of Atleast fill it with air???), All the contents of my glove box had been thrown all over the front seat.. car wasn't locked and valve cap on the tire was missing. I gave them another chance when I had a bolt in my tire and the very unprofessional gentleman informed me it will take several hours to finish because they only had ONE tech working? When I finally came to get the car- i found it unlocked - and all 4 tires valves caps were loose and my low pressure light was on. Another tire was down a couple pounds- aren't they supposed be checking this?? Anyways-- never again. read more

On June 20, 2024 my nightmare began with the Mavis Tires & Brakes located at 4075 McGinnis Ferry Rd, Suwanne, Ga. The key was stuck in the ignition and would shut off. I spoke with the service Manager, Chris who quickly disconnected the battery to shut it off. The next day I called to see if they could fix it. Chris assured me that it could be fixed. It was either the ignition switch of cylinder. He would dismantle it and let me know what needed to be done. Later that day I received a bill for $663.43. I thought "Wow! That is a lot". I told him I didn't have that much That day (Friday) but I would have it on Monday. We discussed using ZIP, Affirm and other financing options. But I told him I would come on Monday. On Monday, I was told by Iris, the assistant manager, they had a busy day but 'he' would get to work in it it should be ready tomorrow. On Tuesday, June 25th I was asked,"Do you have the money to pay for it?" I said, "Yes, when will it be ready? Every day from June 25th until July 3 I was given an excuse why my car wasn't finished and also questioned a second time if I had the money. During one conversation I said of you can't fix it I will return it to the lien holder. I was thinking it was totaled. That conversation translated to Iris that I didn't want the car. So, on I received a call from Iris and another employee who asked me how far I was behind in my payments! He graciously offered to take over the payments so I could save my credit! I explained I'm not behind in my payments. Well at this point I'd had enough of these people. So, on Wednesday, July 3 I call them one last time to ask when the car would be ready. Iris explained that Chris was off that day and the next July 4, but on Friday, July 5 he would come in and see what had been done or needed to be done. After hanging up I called the corporate office and explaned my situation to the Customer Solutions person that answered the phone. I was told that my message would be passed on to Wyatt (no last name give) the regional manager. I was told he would call me back. Well, he did NOT call back. I called again and didn't speak with him the second time nor did he call me back. FINALLY, on Friday, July 5 Chris, in a disgruntled voice said, "Oh you called corporate." "Well I can't fix your car and there will be no charge" WHAT THE BLEEP! I then called a tow to pick it up and take to an actual mechanic. When the tow truck got there the car was still in the bay. The tow truck driver told them to push it out of the bay. There was then a back and forth between Chris and the tow truck driver to the point the driver left and called to tell me they won't push it out of the bay. OMG! I call back and speak with Chris who tells me that the tow truck driver needed to swerve his truck because they couldn't get the car started. SMH , I calm myself and ask, can you used a portable jack or just push the car out of the bay so that the tow truck driver can get the car? So, the driver returns and Chris and his guys push the car out. Less than five miles away I sit waiting at mechanic' shop. That mechanic fixed my car replaced the damaged wire behind the air bag in the steering wheel (wire that Chris damaged) put the ignition and steering back together in 40MINUTES!!! Now, I must add...14 days of Uber cost me $611.89. Tow $110 and repair $200. Yes! I called corporate yesterday to speak with Wyatt and did not speak to him again. I will keep trying! ​ read more

The exterior was covered in grease, floor mates greasy, grease on back seat where someone stole 2 very nice shopping bags. They do not care how they treat you or your car, only want your money. My experience at MavisDiscount Tire is less than desirable. I purchased five tires for my RV at Mavis in Suwanee - I stated specific requirements that all of the tires needed to have the same DOT manufacture date. When I visited the store - they told me they had them and COULD meet that requirement. What actually happened is they provided four tires with a date code of 2319 (23rd week of 2019) and one tire date code 0218 (February 2018). The significance is that RV tires need to be replaced every five to six years - my need was to have them all the same dates. The store manager Mike and the regional manager Kevin McCoy have little if any regard for their customers. They stated that once the tires left the store they cannot replace them.;... funny, since this was THEIR mistake. Turns out they had additional tires - but they used the wrong one. The technician confirmed that I had stated my requirement - IF they were unable to meet that, I would not have purchased the tires from them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Mavis and think that both Mike and Keith MCCOY are EXAMPLES OF poor leaders. Stay clear of Mavis Discount Tire - particularly the Suwanee store. read more
