My husband and I had 1 hour massage and 30 min scrub for the first time at this place. He had a very painful scrub although he asked the lady Lulu to slow down she didnt. Doing it for the first time he thought this is supposed to be very painful so he tolerated it. I also had pain but i asked Helen to slow down and she did. When we came home my husband told me he has some pain and burning sensation on his back. When I looked at his back I was shocked. He had bruises. You can be the judge by seeing the picture. I sent the picture to the owner and not only they refused to do anything about or take any responsibility, they also accused me of lying. They said we don't know what happened after you went home basically accusing us of causing this at home. They said you should have said it right away. Although the burning sensation and pain showed up a few hours later. Anyhow, I don't recommend this place at all. Not only they are very unprofessional and accuse you of lying, they also make you in pain and cause you suffer and wont take responsibility for it. I've been to this place many times and have had great experiences. However, when I went Thursday afternoon I didn't. I requested a massage with firm pressure and i don't feel like I got it at all. It felt as if my massage therapist was just rubbing on my back. The only pressure I got was on my neck which now hurts. I'm a big massage person and am always on the hunt for new massage joints to try. I got a groupon and decided to drop by since I was in the neighborhood to see if they could squeeze me in. I was told I could be seen at 2pm which I came back for. I guess they were running late and decided to offer me a complimentary short sauna session while I waited. That was very nice ! The bathroom was clean and spacious and the sauna was to die for. The massage and body scrub were great. I forgot to ask for my massage therapist's name but she was very attentive to me-asking if it was the right pressure and if I was in any pain. I definitely asleep and was semi conscious because it felt so good. She made an effort to converse with me when i turned over and she could see I was awake-nice ice breaker. My muscles were relaxed and my skin was smooth. Money well spent! I will be coming back and the prices are pretty reasonable! read more

I went here for a deep cleansing facial, after the first 15 minutes I realized the lady had never performed a facial before. After cleaning my face 10 times (Also rubbing over my eyelids) my skin was irritated. I asked her if she was going to do extractions, she did not understand English or most of what I was saying. After putting a rubbing alcohol pad in my nose, which I removed because it was burning my face. She used a suction machine to go over my skin which I thought was a Microderm abrasion type procedure. Well it wasn't. The machine got caught on two sections of my skin and now I have a hicky on my forehead, my skin was left raw and she used NO spa grade facial products at all, offered to put body moisturizer on my face post "facial", I politely declined. The manager is super sweet and friendly. I was not happy at then end, when it was time to pay for the tip. I was told that the minimum tip should be $10 for each person, on top of what we already paid!! Why?! The tip is a tip?! We already paid for the massage. I would not mind paying it, but I don't think there should be expectations to pay a tip. We work every single day and don't get tips! Work is work and tip is just a bonus. I booked a 60 min massage at the last minute and I'm glad they were able to take me on short notice. The experience was a mixed bag of positive and negative. The massage was an interesting combo of shiatsu and sports. It was so vigorous that there was no way I was going to relax, but I was in pain, so sleeping was not a priority. I am a massage therapist and I have a problem with my joints so I needed to request avoiding a couple of common moves most LMT use. My particular therapist did not speak English and I don't speak Chinese, so a third person was brought in to translate. Unfortunately, though I was explicit, the therapist tried to use those exact moves on me during the massage. I was able to stop her, but I'm left wondering what the translator actually said. If I had fallen asleep I could have been hurt. The facility was clean and quiet, but I was not offered the bathroom or the sauna. The massage oil was scented and smelled a lot like the pink soap you find in public restrooms, not great. The therapist did use a warm towel to wipe the oils before flipping, which I thought was a nice touch, but I could still smell it on my skin after I left. The therapist had a firm, consistent hand and she was as responsive as was possible with the language barrier. There was no work on the feet. My entire experience from walking in the door to walking out was exactly one hour. I know this because I sent a text when I walked in and checked my phone on the way out. I call foul on this. I doubt I received more than 45 minutes of service, while industry standard on a 60 min massage is 55 minutes of hands-on service. read more

The girl that did the massage was dressed up and looked beautiful just like a little model but she had no clue about how to give a massage to be honest lol. And the sauna was a joke. Beautiful bathroom and place but the electric sauna didn't warmup at all. I felt like sitting in my living room when I turn on the heater. I spoke to Monica from max relax spa and book an appointment for 3 people for a 90 min hot stone massage and a advanced hydrotherapy facial, I am telling you I haven't felt so welcomed and so relaxed and my skin was glowing and smooth. This spa just opened so I went in to check it out. So glad that I did! I treated myself to a 1 hour full body massage with hot stones. Everything is brand new and very clean. Nice decor and relaxing ambience too. My therapist was Amanda, she was very sweet and made me feel comfortable. She applied strong pressure which I liked, communicating with me to ensure my constant comfort. After the back massage she used hot towels to wipe the oil from my back, it felt soo relaxing! My husband booked a surprise birthday massage for him and I here. It was our first time having a massage here. We were asked to pay and tip right away which became awkward. We like to tip after service but their persistence made it uncomfortable so we went ahead anyway and tipped. We were then walked into a private room and without a word the massage therapist left the room and closed the door. We waited for about 7min sitting on the tables and 2 of them came back in and were surprised. She laughed and said we needed to undress and lie face down. I asked her if we needed to take everything off and she confirmed. They left and we undressed, a little uncomfortable as we have never done this before. While we were covered and face down on the table 2 massage therapists came in and said "Oh! ..Okay.." and immediately started speaking a different language to each other and laughing as quietly as they could. It was very uncomfortable. They laughed at us several times during the massage but, we weren't about to leave because we had paid and tipped previously. It seems like they make you pay first so they don't need to work on their customer service during the massage. What really made the experience the worst was when towards the end of my massage, my masseuse laid me face up and rubbed my face, then my head and began scratching at my scalp with her nails over and over and over. I told her it was painful and she stopped but laughed. After our massage I took my hair down and a clump of hair fell out with the roots attached. Hours later I'm still finding hair falling from the root. I don't usually have this issue with my hair falling out so I know it was her scratching. read more
