Highly encourage everyone to come and try this Mariscos. Everything that we tried was amazing and you can taste the freshness in the seafood. My favorite was the aguachile verde it had the perfect amount of chili and not only did It have great flavor but it was so refreshing, it was nice and cold just how seafood should be served. Another positive note was that the cook, and the lady taking the orders were super friendly. They had a great energy. They gave us extra tostadas on the side, just in case we needed them. They have a small table with a couple of chairs If you plan to eat the food there. Also There's a lot of parking since they're right next to a CVS. I will definitely be back specially, on this really hot summer days.

I stay eating in East Los Angeles because it's my hometown and hands down we have some f the best food ever. My husband and I love Mariscos. We're always willing to try new places. This lunch truck so happens to park by my house. We were hungry and wanted something refreshing and Maye Mariscos was our pick. The lady was very nice and they had a line of people. We knew it was good when people we're ordering for the next day already. She has a very good variety of things. They had so many different tostadas, their tacos were so good. I got the camarones en salsa negra and a taco de pescado. My husband had the aguachiles verde and a tostada mixta. Everything we got was delicious we definitely made a great choice by coming. The location is a lunch truck there are chairs and a little table where you can sit and eat your food. They also have take-out and they're there every day as far as I'm aware. I definitely give them 5 start plus five more if you're ever in East Los stop by and try these mariscos. They will not disappoint you.

Food was yummy! We got green aguachiles which we're SO spicy, just how we like them! We Tried the shrimp taco which was also very good. My fiancé got the shrimp and octopus cocktail which he loved! We also got half a dozen oysters which were a little too small for our liking. The shrimp empanada was the best!

The food was great!! Their ceviche is cooked with lemon, so it is tasty. Their empanadas are the size of a regular tortilla folded in half, so they are not small. Their large fish tacos are twice the size a regular taco - beware!!! Our order was to go and it was a pleasant surprise to see we weren't missing anything. Their salsas are very good too.

Haven't been to the Dive in a while and I decided to drop by for a business dinner. We got plenty…read moreof appetizers and two entrees share. Out of the appetizers, the sprouts was the one that surprised me the most. The bacon and seasoning complement the baked Brussels sprouts perfectly. The calamari was whatever, I felt it was too battery for my personal liking but my friend loved it. The oysters were smaller than what I usually get from other restaurant but it still hit the spot. The entree was amazing and the jambalaya has quite a kick to it even when I ordered it at medium heat. There was plenty of shrimp, mussels, sausages, and protein in the pasta and rice dish. Parking in the plaza was atrocious because it is a busy plaza with a gym and other amazing restaurants and quick bites. Can't wait to stop by again.

The two of us stopped by on a Monday afternoon for happy hour. There were plenty of empty tables,…read moreand we were seated quickly. The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

We had dinner at Water Grill Santa Monica (Ocean Ave) on April 19, and overall it was an easy 5/5…read moreexperience. We started with the oyster sampler featuring selections from Hollywood, MD; Pope's Bay, VA; Buzzards Bay, MA; Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Wellfleet, MA. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and served with great accompaniments. We always order oysters when visiting seafood restaurants because freshness is so important to us, and Water Grill absolutely delivered. A must-order. The grilled Spanish octopus, served with fingerling potatoes, Niçoise olives, roasted tomato, pine nuts, and olive oil, was very good (3.5/5). We're fairly picky when it comes to octopus, and while we would have liked a bit more char, it was still among the better versions we've had. The New Zealand king salmon sushi with avocado, hazelnuts, papaya, and white soy-lime vinaigrette was fresh, clean, and delicious (5/5). While not particularly unique, it was executed perfectly. The crispy calamari with harissa aioli and cilantro-mint sweet chili sauce was also well done (4/5)--crispy, not oily, and very enjoyable. Calamari is another dish we frequently order, and this version met our standards, even if it wasn't especially memorable. The standout among the appetizers was the New Zealand pink bream ceviche with cilantro, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredibly fresh (5/5). We only added a touch of salt. This is another must-order dish. The Peruvian bay scallops with pistachio citrus pesto were somewhat underwhelming (3/5), and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts (3/5) didn't leave much of an impression either. The lobster itself was excellent (5/5)--sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The accompanying coleslaw wasn't our favorite, but we'd happily order the lobster again and probably go for a larger portion next time. The absolute star of the evening was the Massachusetts black sea bass. It was easily one of the best dishes of the night and possibly one of the best fish dishes we've ever had at a restaurant (5/5). Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert featuring chocolate cake, vanilla cake, oatmeal cake, and ice cream. It was thoughtful, delicious, and a wonderful ending to the meal (5/5). Overall, Water Grill earns a well-deserved 5/5. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding, the beachfront ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Definitely a must-try seafood destination in Los Angeles. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience--we truly appreciated it.
