I came in for an oil change, but the also flushed my power steering, and changed my air filter. My car was definitely running better after they serviced it, and I was able to to get it all done during my lunch break. I am not sure if it cost more than my regular mechanic, but I was glad that I didn't have to make an appointment and was just able to wait. The reason why I am only rating them 4 stars is because when they changed the cabin air filter, they moved everything that was neatly organized in my passenger seat to get to the glove box. They ended up just throwing everything everywhere in my van. If they had just told me to move everything, I would have. I just wanted an oil change, but they told me there were other things that my van needed, and I said yes to everything they suggested. I did not know they would need to get into my glove box. I wish they had just asked me to move my things instead of making a mess. Other than that, my van drives wonderfully. read more

I started going to this place when I got my car about 2 years ago, because it was on the list of places that works with the CarMaxx warranty program. They started off amazing, but over the last 8 months have been sliding down hill, and are basically at rock bottom. This last time, I checked their website and Google listings. They both said SMOG services are offered, and specifically said, no appointments, head over (which I have been told MANY times by this place). So I show up, park in line, and a (very nice and polite) employee tells me that the person who does SMOG is off Monday and so they can't help me. I asked why the website doesnt list times or they don't set appointments and was told "we do not do anything with the website," and as he wasn't going to do anything for me, and I was clearly upset and he didn't want to actually handle a customer service situation, he decided to say have a nice day and walk away while I was in mid sentence and going to ask for a manager. My advice, it is no longer a reliable place to take your car. Go anywhere else pretty much! I know if I can find another CarMaxx certified station quickly, I will NEVER use this place again. read more

Wife took Honda Odyssey for routine oil change. Staff upsell on engine filter and cabin filter change for a discount (Still cost 75$). Fine. Car comes back making sound coming from front console. Cool. Play around with AC fans by turning on and off. Sound is coming from glove compartment. Take a look at cabin air filter, seems normal. Took out cabin air filter and turn on AC fans. Same noise but sound is more audible. Reach in to find large clump of cotton? fiber glass stuffing? No clue what to call it but no way it would be something that gets stuck in the fan or would be from the outside of the car. Could this be shady business practice or did this big piece of pocket lint sneak through all the crevices and found it way UNDER the filter and not OVER where all the debris would come from. Pulled it out and replace filter. Sound issue solved. I would not recommend this place. Learn to change air filters yourself, it's cheap and easy. Find a ma/pa shop that actually care about your business if you cannot do it yourself. read more

First time trying smog check here. I'd at it as an ok experience. They really try hard to upsell you in buying additional services. Both when you check in and when your car's ready. Took about 30 min for the smog and I was literally the first and only person there in the morning. That's a bit long in my opinion. Desk guy friendly, mechanic kind of snippy. ~$70 for the smog seems okay but certainly not the best deal y out can find. But super convenient. Also, note that I got the smog on Saturday and it didn't show up in the dmv registration database till Monday. They have a good waiting area including coffee. read more

Even though they advertise star station, they did not want to work in my 1998 Ford truck. I asked why they simply said "we never work on older vehicles". They took almost one hour to take the smog check guy out of his van where he was sleeping. Then I overheard the guy saying my truck was junk and piece of sh...and that it should be at the pick and pull. so he didn't want to smog my truck and besides the guy treats people like garbage. This is not the first time I come here and he does not care about customers. My cousin came here for smog check on his Chevy 99 two weeks ago and the same thing happened. Don't go here. Rudest "smog technician" , horrible customer service. I have an 03' Chevy Silverado I have owned since new, I have 377,396 miles on it , I have always maintained it and replaced anything needed. Since 2014 it has required a smog check every two years, this location told me I need to go to a Chevrolet dealer for a decal/sticker that they couldn't even explain to me what they were requiring, no other smog test has had any issue in a decade of testing this truck. 5/17/24 I brought my car for air cabin filter replaced and they charged 50 dollars. However, I had the feeling they didn't do anything to my car . Horrible customer service. Let's keep it straight and to the point since this Stacy person will do nothing besides degrade paying customers. I've owned and operated business for many many years and the thing this business/ Stacy is forgetting is that the customer is always correct even when they are not. The biggest issue is a lack of communication, effort or pertinent information from staff while on site; followed by a scathing follow up from "Stacy" if you voice your concerns on YELP. I went in for an oil change on my 99 explorer sport. Roughly 30 minutes after the service was completed my check engine light came on for oil pressure. I pulled over and popped the hood and found the cap for the oil fill port missing... I went back to the shop roughly 45 minutes after service to retrieve the cap they did not put back on. They were absolutely ZERO help and took ZERO accountability / would not replace the cap. They then tried to gaslight me to say the truck came in without the cap.....lol. I had no check engine light or any indication light on when I took the truck in and when it left it was in alarm.... Make that make sense...This not how you operate a business. I went to SpeeDee today (a Sunday) around 11 for a 17-point oil change, and David took care of my car! It was done within half an hour since no one else was there when I came, but after I returned there were three other cars. Jessica called me right after it was done so I hustled back, and she was super nice! I had a bunch of questions so asked David to talk me through it. David was very efficient and helped me understand everything I had questions about, including what to prioritize getting fixed! Thank you David and Jessica! Tip #1: Bring your own oil and filter from Walmart, I did a lot of research beforehand to make sure I had the right products! It will lower the oil change price, AND they usually have coupons for the oil change on their website! Tip #2: Always ask to have your vehicles problems described to you! They can catch mistakes (ex. accidentally saying timing cover vs timing belt) and give you more info on when parts usually need to be replaced. read more

I brought my Toyota truck to the Evergreen SpeeDee for an oil change and free determination of why my check engine light was on. That led to $180 evaluation of my evap system. The mechanic spent an hour and said the evap cannister was bad and they could order a new one. When I went back 2 days later they hadn't ordered the part because they wanted me to pay first and when I agreed to pay in advance the shop manager comes up and demands that I also get a tune-up. I said no, all I want is the new evap cannister installed, the car was already in their shop two days earlier, underwent a $180 diagnostic which identified the problem and i wanted no other service other than to fix what had been diagnosed. The manager would not back off, demanding I get a tune-up as well as the $1,200 cannister plus additional for installation at which point I just left. My Mercedes was due for a service, the routine oil change and filter changes. I decided to give Speedee a try, since they're a lot easier on the wallet. I got the 17 point oil change for a little over a $100. However a few days later I noticed oil leak stains in my garage and brought it back for Speedee to check. Turns out the filter hasn't been tightened all the way. They cleaned out the oil that had dripped inside and tightened it correctly this time around, all free of charge and fairly quickly. I bring my vehicles here because of location and it's full auto services. Brake pad light went on -on my BMW. After inspection they found it was NOT pads - it was just a sensor that was damaged and missing - also my struts needed to be replaced - it's was expensive for my parts (BMW) but labor was reasonable AND they offered financing. AND since it was going to take a while, they dropped me off to my house! Yolanda (Manager) was knowledgeable and courteous and explained everything. I felt informed and happy through out process and I will continue to take my cars here! Avoid speedy at all costs if you dont want your car damage. I came in for an oil change 10/2, Yolanda Porras, the manager her techs said my coolant is leaking and brought me to the car to show me. The coolant was emptied (idk if they purposely drained it) and pointed out the wet leak below it. I said can I replace just the coolant if the coolant is leaking? She said no, you have to replace it with the timing belt because it replaces together. She said i must replace it asap otherwise it will over heat bc my coolant water is empty. I said, i dont have time today can i just filled the coolant water alone? Her technician who teamed up with her said no you cant bc as soon as you filled it water will just come right out. So later i said well i dont want my car to overheated, can u filled it for me anyways so i can get home safely? She said its $40! Ok, illl pay for it but why your professional sales people or tech said its not able to refill. I Feel UNSAFE and LIED to so i made an appt with Acura to make sure that y'all recommendation was HONEST, took the car in today 10/4/21 and they said coolant and timing belt and my water pump had no issues. If my coolant had a problem the indicator would indicate Hot instead of cool which the coolant indicator always on the cooler side. One of my friend who always go to speedy they messed up his car on purpose so they can make their up-sale recommendation. I hope CEO of speedy read my comment and is aware of your employees because they will ruin your company's reputation.
