For those of you looking for incredible Thai food in Baltimore, Maryland, be excited because Mayuree will high key blow you away. This small family-owned establishment offers traditional Thai cuisine with a modern twist, and their takeout leaves me completely and full satisfied every single time. Kick your meal off with an order of their steamed dumplings ($8). They're easily some of the best dumplings I've ever had - think perfectly cooked, and the accompanying dipping sauce is sublime. Their Tom Yum's also amazing as well. Made with roasted chili and fresh lime juice, this famous Thai lemongrass soup's jam packed with flavor. I like adding shrimp or chicken, but you honestly can't go wrong with whatever protein you decide to get. As for entrees, I highly recommend their Drunken Noodles and their Green Curry; I got the former with beef, and the latter with tofu. Their green curry came with Thai eggplant, bell peppers, bamboo shoots and fresh basil, and portion size was generous. I got at least 3 meals out of it, no joke. Their noodz had a wonderful smokiness that was addicting - you get that hot wok flavor, and if you can handle heat, definitely make sure to ask for extra spicy because it makes the dish that much better. Female owned restaurant and convenient location. We went there on a Sunday for lunch. They had a big party and it was very loud. The owner / the server was very sweet and professional. The decor is pretty cluttered from my taste but it's still charming. I don't think it's handicap friendly because they have lots of stairs like most local restaurants. The reason I am taking one star out is the food. I was not impressed with the food at all. In a Thai restaurant I expect a steaming hot rice and all food in general but mine was room temperature. A great Thai place that would definitely recommend. There's not that much space inside for seating, but it wasn't very busy on a Saturday at 1 PM so we were quickly seated. A lot of us got the drunken noodles. We got tofu and vegetables so they charge $3 extra because there's 2 proteins compared to 1. I don't love it when places consider them as separate and seems a little stingy, but the portion was decent. The drunken noodles were not spicy at all despite us asking for medium, extra hot. Luckily they brought us some chili oil and red chili flakes that we were able to add as needed. The drunken noodles had a smoky flavor which was different from other places I've had. Taste-wise, it was exactly what I was looking for. I got the Drunken Noodles with chicken (ordered via DoorDash) for pick-up, put in a small note to have it "less spicy" and the order did come out non-spicy! I also got their Tom Kha soup with veggies (coconut milk + tom yum soup) which hits the spot if you're looking to hit that tangy-sour savory craving. Took a bit of a longer wait than expected, but the front host and other staff at the bar were accommodating and nice. Once my order was ready, I brought it back home and everything was still hot. I noticed that the Drunken Noodles were drenched in oil though, like quite an excessive amount pooled at the bottom of the takeout container, which I have only seen on rare occasions at other Thai places where I'm from. Hence, it tastes a bit greasy and can fill you up fast. The portion also looked smaller than what I'm used to, but I couldn't finish it all and had a "2nd meal" the next day with leftovers. Flavorful Thai food that leaves me wanting more! I wouldn't say the food is special but if you want good, tasty Thai food, this is a solid place to go. Pros: - Delicious food! What a find! Cruising around the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, which seems oddly closed at lunch hour due to covid. Then stumble upon this place with an amazing Thai offering. The garden (fresh) rolls were among the best I have ever had. Very fresh and quite unique. Sriracha hot sauce served in a tasteful dish. Papaya salad also fresh and flavorful. Whether you live around the corner or outside the city, this place is a must try. We've usually ordered carry out but recently dined in and had the best experience. We ordered our usuals- drunken noodles and panang curry which were both amazing but the real star of the show was our app: Hai Klook Foon. A spicy chicken dish served with fresh greens. We normally skip apps to get to our meal but this will now become a staple dish! To finish up our order, we also had drinks and mango sticky rice for dessert. My favorite was the pad thai, it was packed with various flavors as you can see un the picture. My go-to thai place in Baltimore. Drunken noodles, extra beef, extra spicy - this NEVER disappoints. They don't mess around with spice either, so be warned if you order. Mayuree is a unique mix of a Thai restaurant in Bmore. It feels more like a dive bar with front half dedicated to a full bar with some surprisingly good cocktails. The main dining space is elevated a few steps, and there's a game room area underneath it. Not sure what to make of the latter area - who uses this? I guess I did once...but I'm a little special. What normal local from the neighborhood uses this space? Anyway, the food is very savory and satisfying from the spring roll appetizers to the pad thai and that other slightly spicy noodle thing we always get. I forget what it's called. Pad key mau? I'm pretty boring with the pad thai usually, but at least that makes me an expert comparing pad Thai across Thai restaurants! read more

I stopped in during happy hour for Game Show Gauntlet and the food, drinks, and service were great. When you walk in there's a bar offering anything you could want to drink including Thai iced tea (yummy drink -- orange color could be alarming for some but it's delicious). The happy hour food deals are great too such as the $4 spring rolls, edamame, etc. I would absolutely come here again and look forward to trying more of their menu. Coming from California, I have some different expectations, but overall the food was fantastic. I got the Panang curry with chicken. I wish there were more items included in the curry such as some carrots or potatoes because that's what I'm used to but the flavor was really good. My boyfriend got the Pad See Ew which tasted great. It was bit heavier on the sauce than I'm used to, but still have the addicting flavor. This also only comes with protein (chicken in our case) and broccoli in addition to the noodles so I again wish there were more items included. We also had the Tom Yum soup which we loved. Flavor was strong and soothing for us. Prices are a bit high, but comparable to other places in the area. Serving sizes were fair. Rice provided for the curry was small. Servings were worth about 1.5 meals for me. I do plan to return to this place and try some other dishes. read more

As a Thai food aficionado, I am always searching any city I'm in for the tastiest Thai place that I can rely on to treat myself. So far, Mayuree is that place for me in Baltimore! The service is fast and nice, and the food, while not innovative, is delicious and well presented! The most recent time I was here, I started with the veggie garden rolls, a delicious 4-piece fresh spring roll dish with beets, tofu, carrots, and lettuce. It tasted so healthy and delicious I was amazed. My body was prepared for heavy thai food and instead I felt like I was eating a light airy slice of nature itself. Second I tried their Tom Kha, which was just as tasty, well balanced soup with lemongrass notes. Then for the main, we ordered Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodle, both which were savory and rich. For dessert, we shared mango sticky rice which came in a beautiful arrangement and tasted just as good. Have ordered from here a few times, but came to dine in here here recently with some friends on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy and we were easily seated right away! The service was quick and the food was delicious! I had the drunken noodles (veggie version) and they were great. They definitely are a little spicy, so if you do not like too much spice, I would recommend the pad thai, also great! I also got to try palm juice for the first time here - sooooo good! I was in Fells Point to attend a friend's photography exhibition and was delighted to learn about this place where the staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. The food is excellent including many vegetarian dishes which I either ordered or tried from my friends' dishes. The spicing is tasty without being too hot. Sit upstairs for the best view of the restaurant. You can walk to nearby Patterson Park which has the highest elevation in Baltimore. I plan to return any time I am nearby. read more

Ordered takeout from this place when I was working and in the mood for some soup and spring rolls. I understand delivery is a bit more expensive, but I didn't expect such a poor quality:price ratio. The vegetable spring rolls were $7, but I could've gotten Trader Joe's frozen spring rolls for $3 that would be more convincing as "homemade". The Tom yum soup was $7, and consisted of broth with spoiled mushrooms, raw tomatoes thrown in, and 2 pieces of chicken in a soggy, paper cup. Omg are we glad we made it here for the brunch pop-up! We ordered the Thai sankaya toast with pandan and coconut custard, jackfruit gyoza, the poor-man's noodles and the GG curry rice. Everything was incredible, but our faves were the poor-man's noodles (which pack a spicy, spicy punch) and the GG curry rice that was very much comfort food. I almost hesitate writing the review because I don't want it to get so popular I have to wait, but it's just too good not to share. Food: I always get the drunken noodles and absolutely love them. They are saucy, thick noodles and come with tender chicken and lots of veggies- basil, peppers, onions, and green beans. I've also had the green curry and been pleased. Also would highly recommend the spring rolls. They are so crispy and flaky. The filling is plentiful and fresh and bit peppery which I love. Sometimes you can taste when spring rolls are frozen- they have that soggy chewy flavor. There are nothing like that. They are really fresh and a great app! Obviously, I always help myself to the Thai tea as well. So refreshing and not too sweet. Ambience Small, intimate. Bar downstairs. Dining area upstairs. Solid Thai food, with good flavors and portions, based on my takeout experience. I tried the pad Thai with shrimp and an order of steamed broccoli (just to balance it out the meal). The steamed broccoli was exactly that and enough for two people. The one thing I did not like was the surprise pieces of barbecue pork in the pad thai. That's not a standard and would certainly throw off the non-pork eaters. It didn't really add to the dish either. Other than, I had a good experience and appreciated that the takeout containers were the compostable/paper kind. Would order again though in the future - maybe some curry or pad kee Mao. read more

I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai, medium spice, and Crabmeat Wontons. The Pad Thai was way spicier than medium, and I'm fairly sure there were pieces of pork mixed in. I don't eat pork, so including it in a dish but not mentioning it in the menu is not cool. The wontons were doughy, undercooked, and tasted like old fish. I can't believe I'm leaving a review for the same restaurant that has SO many glowing reviews. The Pad See Yew was one of the worst meals I've ever had in my life and I'm not a picky eater. It tasted like they ran out of all seasonings and just stir fried some noodles and beef in oil. There was absolutely zero flavor. I'm very disappointed after reading how amazing it was.
