The delivery itself was *fine* not too much damage. But our experience with sales and management was absolutely awful. When you're researching moving companies: keep moving. Don't hire Mayzlin until they get better management. 1) Over-promise how long the shipping will take in order to land the sale: Two different employees told me it would take 4-11 days and their website says 5-10 days for the mileage of my trip. It ended up taking 30 days. You sign a contract giving a latest delivery date that you think is 'worst case scenario latest date' because of the humans you spoke to that said it would get there way earlier. 2) Impossible to get updates on shipment: from the time they loaded the truck I couldn't contact Mayzlin for 3 calendar weeks and I thought they just stole my stuff. I sent several emails to the sales and QA guys I'd worked with and left several voicemails for "customer care". Taking all of someone's earthly possessions then ghosting them for 3 weeks is absolutely wild. 3) You know a moving company will nickel & dime you, but they grossly underestimated the size of my shipment (so I paid 50% more than estimate) but the worst part is that they tried to charge an extra thousand dollars at delivery because they said the truck couldn't get to my house. I had to argue with them for days and show them photos of other trucks entering and exiting for my neighborhood for them to finally agree to send the semi and hey what do you know! Do not trust anyone from this company - their mover stole my identity, credit cards, tech, and broke tons of my stuff including my piano. Now no one from Mayzlin will respond to my many emails, and their offers of "compensation" sent without comment through a portal are insulting. After thousands of dollars of stolen and broken items, they offered me FIFTY SEVEN DOLLARS. They hire random people to pack and move apparently without proper vetting as one of the two movers in my home opened my packed, zipped carryon suitcase that I was carrying with me and was not being moved and stole my AirPods, multiple designer wallets, cash, credit cards, folder of sensitive documents including my social security card, and more. He immediately started using my credit cards at smoke shops and the AirPods pinged at a meth rehab facility for the next week. I got security footage from one smoke shop and confirmed with our building's cameras that it was the Mayzlin mover. The only thing more shocking than the brazen theft was the lack of care or even response from Mayzlin. The Mayzlin rep we had scheduled through refused to give us contact information for anyone else at the company, promising he was a manager and could personally get us proper compensation. He promised via text to reimburse us for the stolen items and costs to replace my identity documents, saying we needed to submit a claim after we received our moved items. Our stuff arrived weeks later in horrible condition. Boxes packed with glass, antique crystal dishes thrown in with metal objects with no paper or bubble wrap were shattered everywhere. My husband's suits were crumpled in the bottom of a box under shoes. My leather shoes were thrown in a giant box with heavy items on top and are ruined. My very expensive keyboard (piano) was smashed and half the keys are broken. Clear packing tape was used directly on our wood furniture, completely ruining multiple tables and chairs. Thousands and thousands of dollars of damage that was from extremely reckless packaging. Truly shocking how little care went into packaging when we paid for a full-service packing and move. We of course submitted a claim, detailing in essay-length the damage and stolen items and documenting the manager's "promise." I specifically asked someone to please reach out to me. Instead we got an offer of $57. Now, this "manager" seemingly no longer works for Mayzlin as he won't respond, and my many emails have gone without a single response. The audacity of this company to never once speak to me after causing massive financial loss and extreme stress from my identity being stolen and placing irreplaceable sensitive documents in the hands of a criminal is astounding. Never have I felt so disregarded by a company. I'll update this review if I ever receive appropriate compensation, though that won't protect others from their negligent hiring practices and apparently poor training for how to pack fragile items. read more

Horrible Moving Company. They gave one quote of $10K based on a facetime walk through of my home by their "cracker-jack estimato from sales. In retrospect, the estimate made by sales was way too low because when the Operations team did a facetime walk thru - the price jacked up $2100. I felt like I had been baited by sales and then switched by Operations. By then it was too close to my move date to switch to another moving company. The packing job was terrible. The made wardrobe boxes out of other boxes, overpacked several boxes, and did not always wrap items they put into boxes. When I unloaded the wardrobe boxes, I found they had dumped a bunch of stuff in the bottom of the wardrobe boxes - pictures, toiletries, knick-knacks, etc - with no wrapping of those things at all. It was a mess. The delivery was delayed - I gave them a month's notice to deliver on a certain date and yet they claimed they could not meet that date when I followed up two days before my requested delivery date. The delivery guys that brought the stuff into my home were nice but WHAT A DISASTER as far as damage to my walls, "fragile" boxes stacked underneath other boxes that crushed them. Avoid Mayzlin Relocation. I've made this exact move with many different moving companies and Mayzlin is the worst service experience and move I've ever had. Communication only occurs when there's money involved. They hounded me for a quote and then after the QA call, I could barely get anyone on the phone again. Accuracy is not a priority to Mayzlin. During a 45-minute QA inventory review I asked for items to be removed that I would no longer be bringing, but the corrections were never made. Multiple follow-up emails and calls were ignored. I ended up paying for more cubic feet than what was actually included in my move. My confirmed 9-11 AM pickup window was changed the evening before--conveniently after the office had closed for the weekend--to 3-5 PM. There was no explanation and no way to reach anyone. No one ever bothered to call me back despite repeated messages with their answering service. I was later told by QA that there was no operational reason for the delay. Despite confirming in advance that a semi-truck could access the delivery location, and providing documentation that the semi could, in fact, fit in all 4 of the provided options. The driver refused to deliver and forced a shuttle transfer to a smaller truck, adding roughly $600 in extra charges. I was also charged for a "long carry" even though the truck was parked less than 75' from the building entrance, which is the typical standard for moving companies. Upon delivery, movers refused to reassemble furniture they had disassembled - that I had paid for them to pack originally, handled items carelessly, and did not properly verify inventory at multiple points from the transfer to/from the semi, to delivery confirmation. Three boxes were initially missing and later found sitting unattended in the building lobby. From ignored communication to inaccurate inventory, unexpected fees, and careless handling of belongings, this move was disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish. I relocated recently from NY to MI for work and I decided to enlist the services of Mayzlin Relocation after seeing their name advertised on Forbes' "Best moving company" list. I had a great experience with the movers when they came to pick-up the belongings that were neatly packed in bins out of my 2-bedroom apt. They were so great my mom sent them with drinks and snacks for their long drive to the next job and I tipped them $50, which the remaining cash I had in my wallet. Unfortunately, that's where my great experience ended. I received a call 2 days later (Wednesday morning) from the Iesha who stated my belonged would be delivered Saturday. Saturday came and went and now 6 days later I'm writing this review and I still don't have any of my belongings, but the company made sure to send me the final invoice on-time. I cannot believe this. I've tried calling everyday with no success. I was planning to use this company to move my recently retired mom later this year, but absolutely not. I'm sleeping on a blow-up mattress in my new apartment because I have NOTHING else. This is beyond disappointing. read more

Do NOT hire these movers! It's becoming clear to me that this company scammed me. Reading the reviews on Yelp, I saw the same pattern in my own move. I fully expected that a) boxes would be missing, b) things would be broken and c) it would take forever to receive my items. I moved cross country (long distance move) from DFW to Iowa. I saw the reviews on cost so I over estimated the size of my move on purpose. Ironically, I was almost spot on by the higher amount. (That's a red flag btw.) I was told that this company prioritizes delivering your items as close to the original date they quote because they know you want your things. Well, that was a flat out lie. I waited over a week and a half to receive my items. (It really sucked having to buy clothes because I didn't bring enough with me and sleeping on an air mattress not to mention the stress of worrying if I'd even have work clothes to start my new job with!) The sales rep told me up to 7 business days for delivery. Yet the contract they have you sign as they're picking up your items says 30 days. They also don't tell you that your items will be loaded on a truck, then delivered to a warehouse, then loaded on another truck until they show up to move your things. They do NOT treat your items with care. At all. I now have a bent end table that had previously survived over five moves with no damage until Mayzlin got a hold of it! I had dishes that were wrapped in bubble wrap that were absolutely shattered. I'm still unpacking so I know other "surprises" will find me and I'm not happy about it. I've moved over 35+ times in my life and never experienced the damage these clowns did. This part made me really angry as I work in finance doing anti-fraud work. When they finally showed up to deliver my items, they told me they were having issues with their bank and I had to pay a different email address. (Issues with your account usually means it's restricted and if you're an honorable company, real easy to get that fixed, but they told me they were changing banks. So that says to me, they have other underlying issues because I used to restrict and close accounts! You don't just close your bank account and move if you can prove you aren't shady AF!) Because of the "different payee", they ended up getting overpaid. Did they immediately refund my money? No. I had to send multiple emails and then they issued me a check. My advice to you is hire someone else. I would absolutely go back and not hire them a million times over. Going forward, I will move myself because the damage these jerks did on top of the ridiculous cost and the stress of wondering where my things were did not add up to a good experience at all! You're up to shady sh*t if the bank restricted your account. And from what I experienced with this move, you aren't a good company so I'm frankly not surprised your account was restricted. Mazylin provided a very competitive quote for moving my household from Los Angeles to Santa Fe and the movers who packed up my house were professional and efficient. Unfortunately, their customer service stops once they have your items boxed. Two weeks past move-out and a week past first potential delivery date and I cannot even receive an estimate as to when my items will be loaded and shipped from LA, let alone delivered. We spent the first month in our new apartment without our belongings without any update or clear communication on when they would be delivered, despite being assured by our sales rep that wouldn't happen. In fact, every answer provided by the sale rep to the questions we asked during the quote/sales call proved to be untrue, and he was unresponsive once we paid our deposit despite his promise of being "available to us every step of the way." We received zero proactive updates, only vague, repetitive excuses from customer service when they did decide to response. When we tried escalating, we were either ignored or told our concerns would be "passed to dispatch," with no resolution. When our belongings finally arrived, most of the boxes were severely damaged, crushed, or completely broken open. A number of items inside were destroyed, and multiple pieces of furniture were scratched, broken, or rendered unusable. We are now forced to file claims for the damage, but based on others' experiences, we're not optimistic we'll be compensated fairly--or at all. Unfortunately, it's clear that our situation is not an isolated incident. After our experience, we discovered hundreds of reviews from other customers describing the exact same treatment: long delays, false promises, poor communication, and severely damaged goods. This company should not be allowed to operate in the moving industry. We are filing formal complaints with the BBB, FMCSA, and our state's transportation authority. Review of Mayzlin Relocation - Buyer Beware I've moved cross-country four times, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I'm writing this review to hopefully save someone else the anguish we've dealt with. We booked Mayzlin about a month before our move from Texas to Florida. We gave the sales rep our closing date of August 22nd, and he suggested scheduling pickup for August 14-15. The movers (contractors, not Mayzlin employees) showed up on the 15th. To be fair, these men were the only positive part of this entire experience--they were professional, wrapped our furniture well, and packed the truck carefully. That's where the good ended. We expected delivery around August 22nd, but our belongings didn't arrive until September 14th--an entire month later. And when the truck finally showed up, at least one-third of our belongings weren't delivered. Mayzlin casually told us they "couldn't fit everything in the truck" and assumed what they did send were our "most important" items. Wrong. We both work remotely, and neither of our work desks were included. Boxes arrived crushed, and personal belongings were found loose on the truck floor. Some of our items were nearly lost completely--like a rug pad and cover that were mistakenly thrown back on the truck until I noticed and retrieved them. These items had been vacuum-sealed in bags. When I called Mayzlin on September 17th, I was told another truck might deliver the rest on September 20th. At the time of writing, I am still waiting. They've exceeded the 30-day delivery window buried in the fine print of their contract (which I unfortunately missed), and they have never offered any kind of retribution or real apology. The sales rep was, in my opinion, unethical and misleading. Had I been clearly told it could take up to 30 days to receive my belongings, I would have planned differently or chosen a different company. Instead, I was strung along with vague promises and zero accountability. Summary: Pickup crew: professional (but not Mayzlin employees). Delivery: 30+ days late. 1/3 of belongings missing on first truck. Damaged and misplaced items. Zero accountability, no restitution. Misleading sales practices. BEFORE YOU HIRE THESE PEOPLE READ THE REVIEWS. WE DIDN'T AND WE PAID THE PRICE. Let me just say it is not possible to fully express how completely disappointed and disgusted we are with this company. We hired them to move us from Colorado to Texas for a job relocation. Found them through recommendations on several "review" websites that listed them as one of the top long-distance movers in the country. DON'T FALL FOR THIS BS! It all starts out good. I am talking to Joseph who promises me the most incredible moving experience I have ever had. They can absolutely meet our pickup and delivery schedule (see attached screen shots of text conversation with Joseph). The quote is incredibly deeply discounted. What starts as a $14K moved gets discounted down to $8800. This should have been the first indication that something is not right. But still I have read some good reviews (on sites that apparently, they pay to advertise on, not real review sites) so we decide to go with them because Joseph is making it all sound great. We are promised a pickup date of June 26th and when I explain that we will not be leaving until the 30th so can't have them deliver until the 2nd, that is "no problem we do this all the time". We will absolutely be there the 2nd or 3rd. (again reference the text conversation with Joseph). The local crew in Colorado is amazing, honestly I should have hired the three of them to move us. They communicate, they work hard, they are well worth the tip we gave each of them. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience with Mayzlin ends. As they pull away in the rented Enterprise truck, not the Mayzlin logoed truck in all the fancy pictures, we didn't realize that was the last time we would see our things for a month. The month that follows is a long list of excuses and lies about what is going on with our stuff. When the crew left our house in Colorado our stuff was on a truck, and as it was explained to us it was that truck that would then get a driver and make its way to Texas. Well that is not even close to how things happened. We get to Texas and have not heard from the movers. So I call the customer service number and ask what is up. The response I get is our stuff is still in Colorado waiting for a truck. I say well I am not sure how that is because I was told the stuff would be arriving in Texas. The story I get at this point is that since we were not able to immediately take delivery it has be rescheduled and the timeline for our delivery doesn't actually start until the day we were ablet o take delivery. So now our delivery is not July 2 or 3, but rather 7 BUSINESS days later. When I say but wait I have these text messages with Joseph who said this wasn't a problem Okay so we have to wait until the 11th, we can deal with that. But no there is more. The 11th comes and still no word on delivery. It is at this point that the customer service people stop answering the phone when I call. Finally, I get a person again and she tells me there is nothing in the contract that says they guarantee 7-day delivery. Oh really because right here in this document with your company logo on it that I signed it says you will deliver my stuff in 1-7 days. Only response is the contract doesn't say that. So not seven business days, but four weeks later after several more unsuccessful attempts to get answers from their "customer service", we finally get a call that our stuff is coming. We are going to load the truck tomorrow and your drive will be there Sunday. Then 30 minutes later the driver calls. I am going to be there tomorrow. What that is even better. I cancel a weekend vacation I had planned to make sure I am home to great the movers when the arrive. The next comes and another call from the "driver". The excuse now is I didn't realize I was driving to Texas. I won't be there today because I am doing another delivery in Colorado today. I will call you tomorrow (Saturday) and let you know the schedule, but I should be there Sunday. Saturday comes and goes and no word. Sunda no word. Monday no word. Finally, we call "customer service" again. They don't know anything you need to call the "driver". 10 minutes later the driver calls me. We will be there tomorrow (Tuesday) 8:00 AM. Maybe 10:00. Not sure what time. Okay fine tomorrow it is. They show up about 10:15, I guess we fell into the "not sure what time" category. Won't unload the truck until they get paid. I expected this because they make it very clear that they only accept cash or Zelle for payments. Unfortunately, our bank website is down, and I can't Zelle. So now told they will be charging us $100 an hour for waiting. So, we scramble for ways to pay them while they sit around. Finally get them paid. They start unloading the truck. They are told they need to reassemble furniture. Nope they are just local grunts hired to unload the truck. They don't know anything about assembling furniture. And that is where we are. I should be able to give zero stars, they don't even deserve 1 star. Run as fast as you can to another provider. They will low ball an estimate to get your business, jack up the prices (ours almost doubled) on their "quality control call" with little to no time to book another mover. Then feed you bull regarding pick up and delivery date quotes and claim routing requires them to change dates for pickup and delivery. We also paid for full packing service, it was NOT packed well and business clothing was damaged with a lot broke. All they did was tell us to file an insurance claim. Helped us move into our new 2 bed apartment, and they were extremely professional and efficient. They wrapped all our furniture with care to avoid damage, and make no complaints about dealing with difficult stair cases or maneuvering their truck through some tight parking. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Overall, the movers were fine. They moved from an apartment on the 4th floor and put the stuff in the garage. They packed things pretty carefully and loaded them into the truck and the storage unit. However, a simple 3-4 hour move turned into almost 6 hours because they moved around the apartment quite slowly. Overall, they did everything well, but there was some nuances. read more

One of the worst moving experiences I've ever had. The person who took my order from Florida was polite and professional, but everything went downhill on moving day. The crew that showed up was a nightmare--they started haggling and changing the price on the spot by adding random charges. It felt completely unprofessional and stressful. Moving is already hard enough, but they made it worse. I was seriously considering losing my deposit and canceling the move altogether. After making a call to their manager, they came back with a "better" price, and at that point, I just wanted to get it over with. Although delivery was on time, my $2,000 TV was broken due to poor packing, a brand-new iRobot vacuum cleaner never arrived, and one of my beds was transported uncovered and arrived dirty. Overall, this was a terrible experience. If you want a stress-free move with your belongings delivered safely and completely, stay away from this company. I would never recommend them. This has been the most stressful and unprofessional moving experience I've ever had. From the start, the company kept trying to charge more, always finding new excuses for extra fees that were never mentioned beforehand. Every part of the process felt like a tactic to get more money out of me. They also claim to be a local moving company to make customers feel safe, but that's completely false. They don't even have their own trucks -- everything is handled through third parties, and they hide this information until it's too late. Customer support was the worst part. They never contacted me with updates, and any time I tried to call or message to ask where my belongings were, they ignored me. On the rare occasions someone actually answered, the attitude was rude, unhelpful, and made it seem like the situation was my fault. The time frame they gave me was not real at all. My things arrived way later than promised, and they refused to give honest updates during the delay. This company is dishonest, unorganized, and has zero customer service. I would never use them again, and I strongly recommend everyone to stay far away. This was truly a nightmare from beginning to end. read more

The management/corporate/customer service parts of this business really stink! The actual movers were good people and professional. We recently did a long distance move with Mayzlin and it took about a month to get our household goods delivered to our new home. Here's the kicker: they sent the driver to our new place without any help!! Yes, they sent a driver on a long distance move without any help. Fortunately, we had family members available to help the driver out and we got it done. But this is how we were treated after having paid this company over $19,000 for a long distance move. We should get a damn rebate!! Look elsewhere. Don't use this company. They don't return calls. They respond indifferently via email, if they respond at all. You are fortunate if you get to speak to a real person. During one call, I requested to speak to a manager but was rebuffed! What kind of company does that? Stay away!!!!! read more
