I'm a little hesitant to write this review because then this place will be packed! But OMGOSH! Hands down, this is the best Mediterranean restaurant I've ever been too! Every dish is hand made from scratch. Roasted eggplant, with just the right amount of smokey flavor for the Baba Ganoush (can't spell it, but so fun to say). Hummus that you can eat with a spoon! Just amazing flavors! We had the sampler platter-$29 for two, but could easily feed four. A HUGE starter platter with hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, bean salad and shredded salad with pita, a super flavorful Greek salad, and an entree for 2. We had the chicken kebabs, but our friends chose the vegan options, which were also outstanding. We were so full, but just.couldnt.stop.eating. And our server, Sophia, was delightful. She gave us an overview of the place-how it's a true family restaurant (Mom is the chef, brother is the bartender!) So much pride, and rightfully so. We will be back, for sure! read more

It's so hard to find middle eastern breakfast here in Columbus, so I was thrilled to hear Mazah offers it. We tried the shakshuka, which was quite good. The eggs were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the ful, which wasn't nearly as good. It wasn't served hot enough and it was overspiced. The shakshuka came with three sides (we picked feta, hummus and labneh) and steaming pita bread. The labneh was outstanding. We ordered 1lb to go and it was very reasonably priced. Tried for lunch for the first time today. The food was first rate. I had stuffed grape leaves, tabbouli, avocado dip (a special), and an add-on piece of falafel. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. This is the only falafel I've ever had that wasn't dried out. I hope they keep the avocado dip as it was like guacamole, only better. Even the iced tea was better than most places. The service was attentive and friendly. My only criticism is that the space is cramped. If they are going to continue to be so busy, they will likely need to move to a bigger space. read more

Great place to dine with a fantastic interior and patio area. The food here is fresh but filling and has very friendly staff. I ordered the chicken shawarma, which ended up being beef shawarma (although I didn't mind). The platter was excellent and included rice, hummus, tabouli and pita bread. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I Went there for the first time this evening and had the falafel sampler. It was amazing!!!!! Bleck. Not sure about other Mediterranean restaurants in Columbus but this isn't really Mediterranean. It's American tasting Middle Eastern'ish food with cliche names of dishes but .. no it's not Mediterranean, if you've ever been to that side of the world and tasted what they eat. This is my first time at this restaurant. This place is incredibly overrated. My fiancé and I went on a Friday night. The place was not full so we got right in. We ordered two of their speciality cocktails. It took at least 20 minutes to get our drinks. The food was just ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't special either. Our server never came back to check on us once the food was delivered. Our drinks were empty. We were ready to go; Silverware on our plates, plates pushed to the end of the table and it took ten minutes from this point for the server to bring our check. With so many great dining choices in grandview, I'd recommend people pick somewhere else to go. We won't be back. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Columbus. Everything is delicious, filling, and fresh. Service is great, it's so nice to see employees who take pride in working for a family owned restaurant. I've never had a bad meal here. I usually go with the Chicken Shawarma or Stuffed Grape leaves with Greek salad and Baba Ghanoush or Hummus as my sides. Make sure to ask for Tahini and their homemade hot sauce! Also, I'm not sure how they get the feta cheese on their salads so delicious, but I've been unable to find a greek salad anywhere else that is that good. We had the dinner for two. Everything was reasonably good, including the beef shawarma and falafel. However the bean salad and cabbage salad that accompanied it were not very good and kind of seemed like fillers. Next time I would just get two different dinner platters and choose other sides and avoid the cabbage and bean salads. They were ok, but kind of dull. read more

Yum! Such a great, authentic, family owned spot for great mediterranean food. I came here for lunch with my husband and parents and we all loved it. Everything is really fresh and flavorful and I really appreciate their use of identifying gluten free, etc. on the menu. Between us, we got a couple of sandwiches (chicken, lamb) - which were hugeee. Great deal. Lots of veggies, etc. and meat was tender. We also got an entree grape leaves plate that came with sides of falafel, rice, etc. and salad with lentils and chicken. Mazah is officially my first yelp find! My husband charged me with finding a place to go out to dinner and to keep it close to $30. We got the couples sampler. It was fun, light and tasted great. My husband got the salad and I got the lentil soup. The service was great. The decor was very cute. The only downside I would have to note is that we ordered the chicken kebab and got a couple chicken slices instead. Honestly we didn't even realize the mistake until we left. The chicken was small but well flavored and the chef even made an extra one for our toddler for free :) We will definitely be back again. Oh and I had that baklava sunday...It was fantastic. It's big enough to share between two but my husband saw how much I liked it and let me have it all! read more

Probably the best Med/Middle-Eastern food that I've had in the US. Fabulous Baba. The lamb kebob is to die for. I've had every vegan option from their menu, and everything has been fantastic! I love Mazah so much, that I had them cater my wedding last May. I find Mazah to be a bit pricy at the restaurant, but their catering prices are so cheap--especially for a wedding! My wedding was at Highbanks Metro Park, and they delivered everything and set it all up for us. I just had the meat grape leaves and it was one of the most delicious things I've put in my facehole. I also had the mujadara salad and at first, lettuce and lentils and rice tasted weird together, but when I poured the house dressing over it, it tied the flavors together perfectly. read more

The menu is all right, gives you a good idea of a Mediterranean diet but not as copious. Rather pricey for nothing out of the ordinary and the service was poor. On the terrace we sat forgotten on a warm fall day. The waiter constantly forgot what we had ask. He never refilled our water nor brought us utensils so after 20 minutes we had to snatch some from another table. Objectively, it is a cute little spot with well seasoned food, but I don't think I will return for the aloofness and for the fact that I know way better Mediterranean cuisine, having traveled to Mediterranean countries and lived by cities with the most delicious Lebanese, Greek and Italian restaurants in the world. read more

Because of a recent recommendation, I stopped in for dinner on my way home. The special was falafel and hummus with an amazing pumpkin cake. Very reasonably priced. They have liquor and beer licenses and the gin and tonic was good. Only draw back is it is very small. I am going back to share it with my husband. read more

Always had a positive experience coming here, whether it's getting food to go or dining in. It's owned and managed by a local family. I always see the owner and her family members every time I come in. The food is consistently good. I love the babaganoush and the tabouli. I always get them as my sides.
