When looking for something healthy and not too expensive, McAlisters is the first thought. Finding the restaurant is very easy and there is plentiful parking since it's in a large plaza. Once inside, it's spacious, clean, and the staff are very friendly when taking your order. As for the food - I ordered the McAlister's Club this time and it actually surprised me. It was very delicious and the ingredients paired really well. I do wish it was more filling, but it was enough for its price. For a big eater like me, perhaps a 12" might be better suited. I placed an order for a Spicy Turkey Melt w/o bacon and a slice of carrot cake at 1:26 pm according to my receipt. I went to the counter to check on my order and was told it was put back. By this time it was 2:06 pm. Two cashiers was talking to the manager across the back counter while one was making fun of my headwrap as she used her hands to tell him "her with the thingy on her head". The manager who told me his name is Nick proceeded to tell me it was my fault that when the order was put in it was wrong so it was canceled and made over so ... I was explaining to Nick that I didn't cancel the order, the cashier didn't know how to put the order in without bacon so another cashier showed her. He cut me off to tell me that didn't matter. At that point I asked for my money back. He told me "yeah here's your money back because the first order had to be remade without bacon so that's why you didn't get it." I asked him how that was my fault when I never canceled the order? Nick told me "well you got your money back, you want me to kiss your butt and I aint doing that so you got your money now gone." Outstanding operation throughout. People talk about Panera and I don't know why when you could go to McAllister. They make an unbelievable Reuben sandwich that is to die far. Sunday lunchtime, easy in...and out full. A bit of info... The Cobb salad: large portion and all ingredients looked very fresh with bright veggies and plenty of meat. The Caesar wrap: maybe not the biggest wrap around, but lots of chicken and great flavor. The half sand/half salad: you still a really big portion of both. McAlisters has great food. Sandwiches, Spuds, Soups and Salads. Nachos and deserts can also be found on the menu. All full sandwiches come with a free side item. You can even add additional vegetable toppings to the entrees at no additional cost. If you can't decide, try a Pick 2 where you can get half of 2 items. There is an app for ordering ahead which is beneficial. However, currently there is a small service fee added for using the app. This might be worth it though during busy times, as they tend to prioritize app orders over in house orders. The reason is the app orders have to be ready by a set time. I have found food can take awhile at this location for in-house orders. However the food is good so it can be worth the wait read more

My wife and I love seeing McAlister's Deli because it's really easy for her to find something fresh and good to eat. She's gluten-sensitive and when she has a reaction it gives her severe pain, so we have to be careful, but she doesn't have to worry about cross contamination. McAlister's staff is usually very friendly, knowledgeable about their menu, helpful, and the staff cares about the quality of food they put out. Unfortunately, that is not the kind of experience we had tonight. We arrived about 7pm and we had our two boys with us (2 & 6). We walked in and the whole staff was hanging out by the registers, we were the only customers in at the time. We felt unwelcome, as if we had interrupted their time. The girl that took our order smelled like cannabis and was obviously stoned. They were out of spuds and couldn't tell us if any of their other products could be made gluten-free, or what else would be safe for her to eat. So, she ate a cup of steamed broccoli that came with the sandwich that I didn't order. She took my order incorrectly and brought out a spicy southwest avocado sandwich in place of the southwest salad I ordered. I understand that, it's confusing having two things on the menu with the same name. However, I bet she would have gotten it right if she were sober. The food itself was gross. The avocados on the salad were completely brown and not-good tasting. Once we got home and opened the sandwich that they packed up for me, the avocados were rotten and we ended up throwing everything away. I'll never return to this McAlisters. This place is terrible. Terrible service, wouldn't answer the phones either while we were sitting inside waiting for our to go order for over 30 minutes. They were not busy at all, people were waiting in line with no cashier to be found. Multiple people left after no one showed up. Our food is sitting on the counter and you can see two women in the back talking. When we had our order taken, the woman had an awful, gross attitude. The time on my receipt is 12:20, I received my order at 12:50. I ordered a Reuben with potato salad and a sweet tea. I drove 10 minutes back to my office to find that my sandwich was cold (the cheese wasn't even melted) and the potato salad (which McAlisters is usually second only to my mother's) was soupy. The salad had stale tortilla chips, brown and wilted lettuce, along with past ripe tomatoes. The chicken and avocado were lacking. As a neurodivergent person on the autism spectrum, who has difficulty speaking (due to social anxiety disorder), I am highly disappointed in how the staff treated me. I was greeted with a blank stare and a loud, rude "HELLO" that got progressively louder and more intrusive. I was taken back by the tone of the "HELLO", from the cashier, and her repetition of the phrase "HELLO", as if she wanted to fight me over the word, "hello". I walked up, being hesitant to say anything since she struck me with attitude, and showed her the DoorDash order I was picking up. She did not change her tone and loudly exclaimed to me that I'm in the wrong area, when I've already been waiting for 10 minutes. Not only that, but she was rude to everybody in the restaurant, yelling, "THERE WILL BE NO FOOD FOR 30 MINUTES". She had a very condescending tone towards me, and everyone else who was in line to order. Frankly, at first, when I heard her, I thought I had walked into one of those restaurants where it was the job of the waitresses to be mean to you. If this actually is the case, disregard this review. Pleased overall... as good as one should expect from a chain deli. Had the New Yorker... generous 10 oz. portion as advertised. Nice sandwich, but of course not New York deli (or St. Louis Protzel's) equivalent, but no complaints, especially since they deliver through GrubHub. I'm more of a corned beef fan than pastrami, so next time I might ask if they can just do corned beef. The potato salad is actually quite good IMHO. The chicken tortilla soup was "meh," but nice portion for a bowl. Sandwich was supposed to come with a pickle, and in fact in the "added instructions" I asked for an extra pickle. Zero on pickles... none included. I noticed this on other reviews as well. They need to fix this. A deli sandwich cries out for a pickle! Lastly, GrubHub's deliver time was only a few minutes off their initial estimate, and totally understandable at rush hour... And the delivery person was pleasant. I went in on an uncrowded Thursday evening around 6:30. I ordered the turkey jalapeño crunch and tomato cucumber salad. My daughter ordered a quart of mac and cheese and sweet tea. The cashier seemed confused, not friendly, but not unfriendly. She made the tea and we waited for around 10 minutes for our food. Nobody seemed too hurried to get the food prepared. When our order was ready, the cashier went to place it in the carry out window because apparently she forgot we were standing there (the only patrons in the restaurant). She, also, made another tea because she forgot that she already made my daughter one. They were going to give us our food before another worker realized that there was no mac and cheese in the bag. We only ordered a few items! When I got home, I inspected my sandwich and it was less than spectacular (see pics). It had roughly 3 jalapeño chips and the bacon wasn't cooked great. Also, the tomato cucumber "salad" was a joke (see pic) . It contained all of 1 cucumber slice (cut into quarters) and half of a tomato wedge (cut in two). The rest was onions with too much dressing. Needless to say, the workers appeared to be untrained and clueless and the food wasn't good. I'm so tired of dealing with this! Can somebody please do their job with a little bit of enthusiasm?!
