We had asked for the burger to be cooked medium rare and I think it came out more like a medium well. The patty itself was a bit dry. This may be a one off issue and we hope to return to try some other dishes.

McAlister's catered a luncheon at work, it was pretty good, so my co-workers and I tried it for lunch today. As we walked toward the counter, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We told the cashier it was our first time there, she quickly explained the process...place your order, take a number to your table to be served, enjoy your meal, and they do the clean up. They also provide a 'refill' card that you show at your table should anyone need a refill. When the server brought us our order, he was also very polite and welcoming. Though we didn't use the restroom, I will say that the restaurant was very clean and tidy. It wouldn't surprise me if we were actually served today by the owners, there was just such pride in everything they said and did. Oh, the best part...we all agreed that the food was awesome! I was looking for deli food and someone referred me there but the food was similar to Panera (just ok) than Schlotzski's Deli (amazing!) Service was lacking, forgot the condiments on the sandwiches and no pickles. Had to remind them there were drinks with the order. They blamed mistakes on the app, which ironically you pay a fee on each order for the app's ongoing development. Wouldn't go back since the pricing is higher than Panera for similar quality. read more

I expected this sandwich to have so much meat in it, I could eat for multiple days for $18. Again, disappointed. Maybe I should've gotten the deli sized version but paying that much for a sandwich... The inside of the deli is fun and it's obvious it's been around a long time and has been well loved. I wanted to like Katzinger's but since the price and the quality don't match, I cannot.
