I have always loved McAllister's Deli, but this location is by far my worst experience -- several times. The food is mediocre, but the reason this location is receiving only 2 stars is because the service is horrendous. When you hire teenagers that are in HS, they are simply rude and inconsiderate. It's a shame that the nearest locations are either in Waco or in Austin. New management is needed. read more

Similar setup and menu to Jason's Deli. The New Yorker is a combo of lean corn beef and pastrami that rivals the Reuben at Spec's deli as one of the best sandwiches in the Austin area. The side of potato salad complemented the sandwich perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive. read more

If we could give negative stars we would. What an absolute joke. We usually use the Cedar Park location but we were on this side of town so decided to try Wolf Ranch. NEVER again! Ordered and paid online for curbside pick up 20 minutes ahead. Nothing. Went inside, was told they had the order but it would be another 10 minutes. There were a lot of people already waiting but nothing seemed to be working at all. The managers were standing back in the kitchen just looking terrified trying to make food. 30 minutes later (so 40 minutes late) we told them to cancel our order, but the girl we told just gave a thumbs up and disappeared. We realized we weren't going to be getting any further service and left. We will be writing to corporate to sort out our refund because I guarantee it wasn't processed. read more

First the food is great. I love most of the items on the menu. The problem has always been the service. It seemed everytime I came in there they had new employees. The employment turnover rate was ridiculous. They seemed most the time stressed out when it became busy. And if you walk in and it does seem busy, forget about it. Walk out and go somewhere else because they are slow when more than 3 people order anything. Yet....the food is great. And if you are just going in for the Tea then by all means its wonderful. I frequent here a lot. Their Southwest Turkey melt is my favorite. Although deceptively warm outside, a recent rainy day prompted me to try their four cheese chili. Delicious! This McAlisters use to be under different ownership. At that time this McAlisters was a one star in my book. Now, since they changed ownership/management it is completely different. The food is much, much better and the staff is so friendly! I come here at least once a week because I work in Wolf Ranch. The tea is hard to stay away from, I must admit. The cashiers are always so friendly and say hello when you walk in the door. I always come for lunch and they're very quick. This is important to me because a lot of times I don't have much time to get lunch. I usually have to run straight back to work so I can rely on McAlisters to have my to-go order ready when I arrive to pick it up. read more

We went there after church today. We waited 25 minutes in line with 1 person taking orders. When we got to the counter they let us know after we paid it would be 20-30 minutes to get our food. They said they are way understaffed (everyone is). Food came out literally cold. Definitely not worth the wait time. I'll wait for good food, but that is by far the worst experience I have had there. They forgot my side and after I asked and waited another 7 minutes the side was less than half full. I usually dine in at this restaurant and haven't had a problem. From what I've observed while inside, they always have trouble with online/curbside orders. No one really tends to the people that walk in or orders are wrong. Today, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered online and was let down. I expected an orange cranberry club with no tomato because I'm highly allergic and a tortilla soup for my husband. My husband didn't check the order and when we got home, the sandwich had tomato and no cranberry jelly AND instead of a tortilla soup we got a bowl of weird looking chili. Ih and no pickle. I spoke to Naomi who said she was the shift manager and she promised our money back but that didn't happen either. I guess they just needed to brush us off. To clarify, it was a busy Sunday morning when we stopped in. The place was packed, the line to order was long and the noise level was high. My only real complaint is that staff couldn't keep up with the volume of customers; tables were left dirty and the floor needed some TLC. On the other hand, McAlister's is one of the best fast casual places for a vegetarian. I can dine there with a group of carnivores and still find more options than just the basic salad. I visited this location over the week. It was 5:00 on a Saturday. I ordered a salad spud combo. The salad looked a little sad. A few pieces of the lettuce were old, brown, and slimy. The baked potato was decent but nothing I would crave to have again. I honestly could have made a more appealing dinner at home. The restaurant floors are beyond dirty. They looked like they had not been cleaned in months. The women's restroom was just as dirty. This made me wonder if the kitchen was just as dirty? Not a good location to visit. read more

I know better than to leave without thoroughly checking my bag(s), but I was in a hurry today and thought no way could it happen again to one of my orders, I was wrong. I give two stars because I did really like this place. However...my husband and I, the last two times we have eaten here, have come home and within an hour barreled over with food poisoning. It was awful, worse than the flu. We were tag-teaming the bathroom through the night and next day. Twice in a row. Seriously? This restaurant was FILTHY from the front door, at the register to order our food and a the way to the restrooms! As I was leaving our server was scrubbing the baseboards and said she was "cleaning because Corporate was coming tomorrow"! They are in for a LONG night. She got up off the floor, didn't wash her hands, was not wearing gloves and made my drink. The Manager was well aware, he was working a register while she was waiting on me. They had 3 things going for them, they were in a beautiful building in an awesome shopping center, the service was excellent and so was the food. Ugh...we were passing through traveling. Extremely poor management, must've scheduled too little people to work on this shift. Tables that are open for social distancing had plates of left over food from other customers, and even the tables that were open for customers also had plates and drinks on them. I don't do reviews often but there were literally at least 12 tables with plates that never got cleaned up, in order for us to sit down we had to pick a table that didn't look too messy and move the food over to another table, and other people began to do so as well since there was no where open to sit down. The place was freezing i don't know if that was a tactic maybe to get people to eat and leave ASAP, but we were freezing the entire time we waited for our food which was over an hour. Maybe if a worker decided to call in or something I understand being busy during the holidays but as dirty as the tables were they definitely needed at least 2-3 extra people to run the restaurant at a minimum. If I could give negative stars I would, I wish I could post photos to show that I am not exaggerating. read more

**UPDATE** The managers of this restaurant should really get a raise. McAllister's has my future business for sure. **** This kills me to write this because I just wrote this store a great review just two days ago on a different site. This review is solely based on customer service, food is excellent. Monday's experience was great so I decided to go back today, Wednesday. I ordered over the phone and came in to pick up. The last few times I have been in I have been asked to join the reward program, so I did, and used it on my last visit. I had my app open and ready when I asked the cashier if I could scan. She said "oh you're supposed to do that before you pay. I can't give it to you now." I asked her if she could cancel and redo the charge so I could scan it and she rolled her eyes and made it like it was a big deal. Eventually she walked over and got a manager explaining to him while I stood off to the side that it was MY fault, that I didn't scan before I paid. First off, you never prompted me to scan like you are trained to do, nor did you even ask if I was a rewards member, like you are trained to do, so you going off and blaming a customer for something that you did wrong in front of the manager and all the other employees behind the counter is extremely unprofessional. Next time, just correct your mistake instead of going off and trying to make customers look bad. read more

I became a fan of McAlister's when in college further north, so I was happy when they opened in Georgetown, where I now reside. Unfortunately, every single time I have been there I have been disappointed. This is usually service related. I have picked up To-Go food and didn't get everything I ordered and been made to stand in line to correct it, and once I brought it to the cashier's attention, was treated like it was either an inconvenience for them or that I had ordered incorrectly. I have nothing against McAlister's as a restaurant ( since I came to love it in Temple, Texas), but the Georgetown location has put me off the chain entirely. This restaurant needs a good cleaning. The tables were not clean, especially where the table meets the wall. There is dust on the half walls beside the tables and the curtains need washing. Even the cleared out tables did not look clean. The lettuce in our salads tasted dirty, like they had not been washed. The tortilla soup was not good at all, tasted like a mix that had not been prepared right. The guacamole was very spicy. Not really a good value. Small sandwiches for the money. The horseradish roast beef & cheddar sandwich has no horseradish flavor, very little meat & is a tiny sandwich. Get the bigger version at Arby's & add horsey sauce...for less money & more food. The shopping center has a new & modern feel, but the interior of McAlister's looks like it's been open (& tore up) since the 80s. The girl bringing the sandwiches to the table had zero personality and couldn't care less about what she was doing there. I was initially impressed with McAlister's in other locations, but this experience sealed my opinion about them and I'm unlikely to return. read more

Just an upscale version of Subway and Jason Deli - prices are kind of on the high side - They have some really good sweet tea.

I go all the time for their tea. I do agree prices are high. Restrooms are pretty gross and food is eh. But I sure do love their tea
