It's been several years since I've been in this restaurant. I really wanted to eat elsewhere but this was too convenient and we didn't have a lot of time for lunch. The restaurant was very busy but the line moved quickly. My husband ordered the Reuben with a side of broccoli and I ordered a club with a side of potato salad. The last time we were here our meal was okay... not great. This time we were both blown away by the flavors and quality of the meats. The potato salad was absolutely amazingly delicious! I was also impressed with the quality and competence of the staff. Clearly they have a great management team in place at this location. The staff can make or break the dining experience and the team on duty this day was fantastic. I have to be in High Point again next week and am excited to eat here again. Highly recommend.

Again like 3 pieces of really thin small pieces of meat... no au jus no mayo or horse raddish or horsey sauce...

I ordered from a delivery company but the order was easy and straightforward. French dip no Swiss add provolone and pickle chips. It asked about au jus and I said yes I wanted some. This is what came to me (in a very quick 15 minutes) no au jus half the meat as normal and the bun was as if someone ripped it apart. No quality control. I called and was hung up on. I also got carrot cake but it has gravy inside it because they packed the cake in a small to go box and then just laid the sandwich rolled in paper on top. The sandwich juice would be picked up by the paper then would run into the cake box. The sandwich had no taste. It was wet bread with melted provolone cheese and at least half the meat that normally comes. Overall, bad experience.

It's been a while since I've been to McAlister's, and I don't know why! The food was great, I got their veggie sandwich and their veggie baked potato and they were both delicious. My sandwich was flavorful and the veggies in both the items were fresh! Their sweet tea is a hidden gem btw! Service was quick as well and there's plenty of spaces to sit inside.

The food is always consistent. My half spud half salad was very good. My favorite thing is the tea. I will forever be a fan of the TEA! The service is always friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they bring your order to you. I love being able to sit outside in good weather.

Food - HORRIBLE! Order 150039 - 2 of 3 of the sweet teas were unsweetened but were supposed to be flavored teas. Angus Club was supposed to have extra onions. Mac N cheese was pasty and chalky. Service gets a ZERO! It was an online order. We wasted $52 on bad quality food.

HUGE glass of sweet tea. Delicious.

We decided to try McAllister's for lunch today. It was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and put smiles on our faces I got the McAllister's Club. It was so good. It came with honey mustard as well as mayo. Great flavor. I also ordered a side of Mac n cheese. It was FABULOUS. I wish I would have gotten two. So creamy and cheesey. Perfect. My husband got the Reuben and Chicken Tortilla Soup. I tasted the soup and it was very good. Had a nice spice to it and it's served with tortillas chips instead of crackers. The Reuben was good. They use rye bread instead of the pumpernickel rye that we are used too. It is also toasted instead of grilled. He said he liked it but would try something else next time And there will be a next time!

    Black Angus club with salad

I didn't go to the location. I ordered it through delivery. They package their food well. I ordered the Black Angus club sandwich with a salad. Layered with cheese, roast beef, lettuce, tomato and horseradish sauce. The horseradish sauce made the sandwich. It is good! This sandwich is well proportioned and has enough to put you in a food coma...so be careful ordering this for lunch lol if you do, pause on the second half..lol I turned my nose up a bit because the salad was spinach based, but I was pleasantly surprised that I loved it. I am sold on spinach salads. The ranch dressing was really good. I'm picky about my ranch dressing and I would eat this any day. I'm a pickle lover and they have the best kosher dill pickles. Yum!

    The Italian 12"

I ordered hella food because I wanted to a be a big back but I couldn't be with this fake 12" sub, it's only 10! I'm disappointed and want my 2 cents back. I still ate it though it very good I just wish I had my other 2". Good service though I got it pretty fast but I probably got it fast seeing as I was missing the 2".

All of the employees we encountered were very friendly. Ally was our server and was AMAZING. We told her it was our first time there and she gave us some great recommendations. They also made a really good margarita and I am not typically a fan of traditional margaritas. The food and drink recommendations she made for the table were great, and the onion rings are definitely the best ones we've had in the area since relocating here. Both sandwiches we had were great. The Chicken Philly had a little bit of a kick to it, which made it a nice change from usual Philly sandwiches and the Cuban was different from a traditional Cuban as it had some barbecue sauce on it. It was a little different for me at first, but I ended up really liking it. Both salads were pretty big and both people really liked the salads. The person that got the blackened grouper Baja salad thought that the grouper was fabulous, seasoned perfectly and loved the salad overall. This will definitely be a place added to our usual rotations...

Great casual atmosphere, the staff have really come into their own, and the food is simple but has little touches that often make it a small cut above most other sports bar type places around. My favorite things to order are the smashburgers, chicken philly (almost as good as the one at Old Town, a restaurant also belonging to this same owner), and now the fish and chips. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. Steep it a little longer, and you've got me fully hooked.

They make a lot of their sides from scratch, and bake their own breads. Everything is made to order, so be ready for a short wait, but know that it is worth it. To get here, once you're on Airpark road, take your second right. If you hit the traffic circle you've gone too far. After taking that right, drive to the end of the straightaway and you'll be confronted with a large parking lot on the right. Spring Garden Bakery is in the back right corner. The restaurant is clean. Minimally appointed. Don't expect comfy chairs, they use the industrial grade metal ones. No one is staying here very long so that is fine. Menus are on the counter as you approach the register, and photos are on Yelp if you want to look first. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and daily specials. Drinks are either brewed tea, or canned/bottled beverages. I have grown particularly fond of their club sandwich. It comes with a lot of meat on it, and they're happy to sub in Honey Mustard for mayo, which is the way I prefer it. Another thing that I love here, when they have fried okra, GO FOR IT. It appears to be hand-breaded and fried to order, the most recent batch I had was perfect. Golden brown, crispy outside, tender okra inside. Yum. A couple of family members joined us there. Both ordered plates of shrimp and grits and enjoyed them, as well as two side dishes that accompanied the entrees -- especially the deep fried "blooming " onion. Although my order of Greek salad was fresh and tasty, the added chicken proved tough and gristly. (However, it could have simply been a bad day for grilled chicken.) My husband, who is currently undergoing cancer treatments, ordered several dishes of vegetables but was feeling so badly when our meals arrived, he was unable to eat. This is when Cagney's began to shine -- service. Service is near the top of our review checklist, and can make or break any dining experience. Our waitress, Chloe, was (and, I believe, is) gold. Although a busy evening with a "full house," she waited on us quickly, got our order straight on the first try and updated us twice on one item coming out of the kitchen a few minutes after everything else. She checked on us from time to time and noticed my husband's fading energy. She noticed that he left the restaurant to relax in the car while we finished our meal. She asked if I might like to take his meal, which remained untouched, with me. When she returned with the take-home container, she had written a personal message on the lid and offered kind words and a warm hug for me. The next day, my husband asked me to warm his leftover meal so that he could have it for lunch. He said it was delicious. That alone is worth a great review. Add in Chloe, and dining at Cagney's was stellar.

There are thousands of these strip mall, multi cuisine fast food counter service restuarants. They fill a key slot in the dining industry. We were hungry, we got meals, we ate every bite. I am however not sure about the five-star rating. I suspect the two raters prior to me are very nice guys. My wife found the Google entry and there are 367 reviews (avg. 4.2). I went and read some of the reviews. I think its a case of grade inflation, peoples score they choose does not match their description of their experience. I lay all that out there because I try to be as fair, and useful as I can when I write these because I use Yelp to help me make decisions when we travel. I wouldn't want to mislead others. So this restaurant was not that far from our hotel and we wanted to get food and take it back to room and watch some more football on TV. I guess we didn't get enough at the 41-38 loss WFU suffered earlier. It is a little dark, a little run down, but seemed clean as far as I could tell. There were no weird smells, just fryer grease and roasted chicken and pizza. My wife got an Italian sub, no ham, no cappacola, just salami and cheese (she's a toddler sometimes). Sort of half expected them to add a bit more salami to round out her sandwich, they didn't. I got a rotisserie chicken sub. It was okay, the chicken tasted good but there wasn't much of it. We both got fries and they were pretty decent (a little steamed because there were no holes poked in the styrofoam containers (most places know that trick). Our meals ran us $24, about what things cost these days, but not quite the value for what we got. Like I said, it was okay, we ate it all and were happy to have a meal. I'm not sure we would be regulars if we were local, while this place is okay, I suspect there are a few slightly better places in the area.

It is the only true Roman Style locally, that we enjoy. It is always, very thin and crispy, which we love. The sauce is not too sweet, which we prefer. So many local pizzas are far too sweet for us. What really sets it apart is the mozzarella cheese they use. It has good flavor and the right amount of saltiness. Our biggest complaint about most local pizzerias, is the tasteless, rubbery cheese they use. We have yet to try any of the toppings, since the plain cheese is so good. FRESH and slightly crunchy on the outside, with the perfect amount of chewy, and pillowy yet dense on the inside. The BEST bread on a sub that I've found in NC. The Marinara on the sub is authentic Italian marinara with just the right amount of cheese, but those MEATBALLS...I've never had a meatball quite like theirs and they are homemade, delicious with the perfect seasonings. Part of that is due to its proximity to area businesses although the friendliness of the folks working here certainly helps too. The same family that owned Jack's Corner near UNCG owns this place. In light of that and of how long they've been around, I really wanted to like Wallstreet Deli. Ultimately, I found it to be solid if not impressive. Though Wallstreet bills itself as a New York-style deli, it really isn't much of one, and if you head in expecting that experience, you'll leave disappointed. Approach it as a sandwich shop with some Mediterranean/Middle Eastern offerings, however, and it acquits itself much better. The menu features hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, salads, plus souvlakis, gyros, kababs, and falafel. I was craving a cheesesteak, and the steak and cheese combo with fries fit the bill nicely. Even after adding mushrooms (an upcharge), it still came out under $15 pre-tax. I took it to go and found it satisfying. The sandwich offered a decent amount of meat and plenty of flavor. The fries were OK - not as crisp as they could be but not underdone or undersalted - though I would probably skip them on a future visit. Wallstreet Deli is a fast, friendly, fairly tasty lunch option for anyone in the vicinity of the airport, but take proximity out of the equation, and you can find better Mediterranean and better sandwiches elsewhere in town.
