Two visits in the last few months after a LONG time not visiting and I can't remember why. We decided to venture out of the office and decided to eat here since it was close my veggie sandwich had thick pieces of avocado and just a little mayo which made it so creamy in the healthiest way. It was packed full of veggies which usually need a little salt and LOTS of pepper, making it the perfect sandwich. It's been several years since I've been in this restaurant. I really wanted to eat elsewhere but this was too convenient and we didn't have a lot of time for lunch. The restaurant was very busy but the line moved quickly. My husband ordered the Reuben with a side of broccoli and I ordered a club with a side of potato salad. The last time we were here our meal was okay... not great. This time we were both blown away by the flavors and quality of the meats. The potato salad was absolutely amazingly delicious! I was also impressed with the quality and competence of the staff. Clearly they have a great management team in place at this location. The staff can make or break the dining experience and the team on duty this day was fantastic. I have to be in High Point again next week and am excited to eat here again. I ordered from a delivery company but the order was easy and straightforward. French dip no Swiss add provolone and pickle chips. It asked about au jus and I said yes I wanted some. This is what came to me (in a very quick 15 minutes) no au jus half the meat as normal and the bun was as if someone ripped it apart. No quality control. I called and was hung up on. I also got carrot cake but it has gravy inside it because they packed the cake in a small to go box and then just laid the sandwich rolled in paper on top. The sandwich juice would be picked up by the paper then would run into the cake box. The sandwich had no taste. It was wet bread with melted provolone cheese and at least half the meat that normally comes. Overall, bad experience. read more

Ordered a SW chicken salad...NO chicken in it at all! Lettuce was also wilting, and dressing was wrong. SO DISAPPOINTING.

I had the take two lunch special. The sandwich (the club) was mediocre and unremarkable. The bread was soggy and the sandwich was bland. However; the salad was absolutely delicious! It was crisp and flavorful in every bite! No idea what the inside of this place looks like or how the service is, but I can talk about the food. Had a friend pick up a veggie spud for me for lunch from this location a few weeks ago and it was excellent. Fresh veggies, delicious potato and skin, and nicely prepared. We decided to try McAllister's for lunch today. It was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and put smiles on our faces I got the McAllister's Club. It was so good. It came with honey mustard as well as mayo. Great flavor. I also ordered a side of Mac n cheese. It was FABULOUS. I wish I would have gotten two. So creamy and cheesey. Perfect. My husband got the Reuben and Chicken Tortilla Soup. I tasted the soup and it was very good. Had a nice spice to it and it's served with tortillas chips instead of crackers. The Reuben was good. They use rye bread instead of the pumpernickel rye that we are used too. It is also toasted instead of grilled. Had several bad experiences in a row, then finally bothered to leave a review about it. Then messaged by a manager who invited me back. My wife and I did eventually go back in and had a GOOD experience for the first time in a while. The staff was super kind and the macaroni was thick and good. None of the orders were wrong. I didn't go to the location. I ordered it through delivery. They package their food well. I ordered the Black Angus club sandwich with a salad. Layered with cheese, roast beef, lettuce, tomato and horseradish sauce. The horseradish sauce made the sandwich. It is good! This sandwich is well proportioned and has enough to put you in a food coma...so be careful ordering this for lunch lol if you do, pause on the second half..lol I turned my nose up a bit because the salad was spinach based, but I was pleasantly surprised that I loved it. I am sold on spinach salads. The ranch dressing was really good. I'm picky about my ranch dressing and I would eat this any day. I'm a pickle lover and they have the best kosher dill pickles. Ordered takeout, pick up in store I ordered off of their app, which I recommend to use when ordering your food. The app is very helpful and easy to navigate between menu items. We ordered the French Dip Sandwich and The New Yorker with mac n cheese and some jalapeño chips. It told me my order would be ready within 15 minutes. I took my time to get to the restaurant, which only took about 10 minutes, not even. They had my order ready within a minute of me having to stand there and were very polite and friendly to interact with. **BOTH of these sandwiches had a LOT OF MEAT in them! You definitely get your money's worth! The bread was very fresh and toasted to perfection! No complaints about anything! Fantastic! So disappointed! All I wanted was a Southwest Chicken and Avocado Salad. When I got to the location I placed my ordered and told the young lady, no onions, no tomatoes and in it's placed I wanted extra avocado. She said no problem and I got my order and left. I specifically asked for no tomatoes due to an allergy. When I got home I noticed the salad container had exactly what I requested on it and after pulling the top off, I noticed something red and decided to stir the salad some more. It became clear that instead of my salad being fresh and made from scratch, someone tried to pick off the tomatoes and onions and left quite a bit behind. We had not had McAlisters in a minute and were so happy we stopped in. I got the jalapeño turkey crunch and the flavors were amazing! I confess. I did it. I went to a chain. The 400+ unit McAllister's Deli.  And it was excellent. I generally make it a habit to support small, local businesses, but I don't necessarily shun chains. So here I was. I ordered a Reuben and fire roasted vegetable soup. Reuben: piled high, I mean LOADED with delicious corned beef that was both tender and tasty. The sauerkraut was good, but did not have much punch. But that's fine. McAllister's is definitely a top-tier Reuben in my book.  Fire roasted vegetable soup: it was very good. I could taste the fire roast in the veggies. 'Nuff said. The order taker appeared to be a manager. Certainly she exemplified good customer service the way a manager should. She was friendly, polite, and engaging. So there you go. McAllister's. A chain.  And they make a darn good Reuben and soup. read more

Tried a new lunch spot today; McAlister's Deli in High Point. Clean restaurant, roomy and even though it was lunchtime, service was smooth, fast and on point. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, soup and baked potatoes. I chose one of their huge fresh salads and I'm glad I did. The Savannah Chopped Salad consisted of mixed greens, grilled chicken, dried cranberries, gorgonzola cheese, honey roasted almonds, tomato & cucumber. It was a large portion, I could've easily had the half size but overall it was healthy, colorful, filling and super delicious. Ranch on the side was perfect. Wish it came with a roll & butter and parking in the shopping center is very tight. Other than that, I would love to come back again for lunch and try another salad or a sandwich. Don't waste your time or money. We ordered a kids PBJ and 2 sandwiches and a side of soup. The soup had been sitting for awhile and was not hot. The garden fresh Turkey was to come with avocado. The pictured sandwich showed SLICES of avocado. I got one very large GLOB of an avocado on one half of my sandwich. But the kicker of the whole bad experience was when they brought out the order. It was then that I was informed they did not have the PBJ. REALLY?!?! It was an Uncrustable! When we said to switch it to a pizza, I was told they didn't have that either for a kids meal. When I asked for a manger, the crew up front called to the back for someone. That person NEVER came up front. Instead, one of the people up front was suddenly promoted and had to talk to me. A full refund later... I will not go back and don't recommend the store in High Point. read more

Not seen is tomato cucumber salad side, lacking acidity, but does the trick if you're a fan. Also not shown is potato salad which is actually the best thing we ordered besides the veggie spud. Broccoli in both spud and kids entrees was on the crisp side and fresh, which I appreciate. Reuben was just disappointing in condiment ratio and dryness of otherwise a good portion of meat. Really would like to have them invest in a better grade chicken that doesn't taste overwhelmingly processed, but it's corporate we're talking about. I'm up and down with McAlister's. Some things are pricey, and then some things you feel like you're actually pulling the wool over their eyes... for example, kids combos. You'd have to explore for yourself, but strange. Whatever. You'll get what you get, but if you're in the mood for McAlister's reference this review and ask for extra condiments and ingredients on the house. I'll be passing for a while. read more

Picked up sandwiches for lunch. Called in the order and she said they would be ready in a few minutes, luckily we were only a few minutes away perfect timing. The Italian was excellent with the house roasted peppers and Italian meats which were plentiful. The sub roll was soft and fresh with the mixed greens , red onion, tomato and oil and vinegar, it was very satisfying. It also had mustard which was fine but i could have done without. The French did looked loaded with meat and was proclamed to be outstanding. (I secretly was hoping for a bite dipped in the au jus but that didnt happen) The Sweet Chicken Chipotle was also delicious. Mac and cheese for the side was also well received. Order McAllister's through DoorDash and was very happy with what we received. Ordered the club wrap with potato salad and a chef salad. Both came with ample dressing, napkins, a pickle, utensils, etc., everything you would need. The club wrap was delicious and had a nice sweet honey mustard or some type of dressing on it that was delicious. And the chef salad was full of meat and cheese and lots of croutons it was very good. Freaking awesome place for lunch ! I love coming here sometimes with either my step dad or husband. Fantastic salads , sandwiches, and spuds . I love getting the choose 2 so I can get two items for $9.49 . It's a $1 more for each thing if they are premium items which is fair . Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. I've had several of the sandwiches, spuds , and salads and I don't have a complaint about any of them . The staff is friendly and the wait time In line and to receive food it not long . I tried this place for the first time yesterday. I cannot complain. I had the club sandwich as well as one of their famous spuds. They were both cooked fresh and made my tastebuds extremely happy. We went here in a pinch before going to see a movie. It seemed fairly busy but the line moved fairly quickly through it was a disorganized mess of people coming from different directions. So. We finally secured a place in line after 2 groups of people who came in after us managed to push ahead of us. We waited. And waited. And waited. Finally our turn. I ordered a black angus roast beef spud. This has roast beef red onions, cheese and au jus. And we waited. And waited. And waited. Our food showed up after waiting exactly 30 minutes. It was cold. The au jus was just dumped on my potato and I think they put an entire red onion on it. I pulled the roast beef out and ate it. It was cool but I was hungry and didn't want to eat a cold potato literally filled with onions. Before we left, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in months and had a hint of marijuana scent. The entire experience was a nightmare. I'm not one to be overly harsh but I have absolutely nothing good to say regarding this experience. It's disorganized, the employees are indifferent and seem like they have absolutely no training whatsoever. The bathroom was nasty. This may be the worst experience I've had in a long time at any restaurant. Stay away. read more
