Don't use this company, they attempted to fiscally use my elderly mom and when she canceled the move with this company, they harassed and belittled her. She scheduled a moving date with them, however as time got closer they insisted to move the date up to make it easier for them and that they have other moves they need to do... they told her the move would occur 6 days prior to the scheduled move. They then were going to store her stuff over the weekend, causing her to pay storage fees and without her furniture for 2 nights. I'll be filing complaints with her company for mistreatment of their own policy's and fiscally attempting to disadvantage an elderly for their sole benefits. McCarthy held our items in a storage that we paid monthly for until our military move earlier this month. McCarthy has now tried to charge us an additional $187.70 for access to our storage (something that is covered by the military) when we asked if our contracted showed this charge we were informed there was "Zero paperwork signed between us and them" Which is 100% not true. This company is trying to take money from us that isn't owed to them. read more

They maintained consistent communication of estimated arrival, delivery, and move duration. I liked how they sent a summary of information prior to the move about destination arrival, how many individuals that would help with the move, & contact information. These three went above and beyond. Due to the low clearance of the garage, they needed to haul our furniture/boxes in an incline towards the elevators located inside the garage. We had the pleasure of working with Julio B. & Carlos C. They were on time, if not EARLY with the delivery of our personal property. They approached with professional introduction and attentive with instructions when we did the walk through of the home before placing the boxes and our belongings where they needed it to be. During the move they were informing of items during transport before it arrived in their warehouse that some items may have been damaged, they gave us tips and provided clear guidance on how to file our claims (if applicable). Julio and Carlos were professional with how they handled our items with care and they had patience with us. We appreciate them so much through out our process as it is been such a hectic and long few weeks. Julio took initiative and ensured all items were received and they were both so organized with our items and boxes. They also helped unload a few of our boxes that were deemed necessary to unbox and they assisted with building our guest bed. They have helped us with this move so much that it took a lot of weight off our shoulders. Had an amazing experience working with McCarthy movers Danny and Emilio. They were very communicative and clear with their plan. They called me to work out the best delivery time for my items and they showed up PROMPTLY as scheduled. They were so neat, and were sure to protect my new apartment with their mats and gear. Danny and Emilio were respectful and worked FAST! They ensured all of my 30 boxes had been delivered and were in the right location in the house, and the unpacking was speedy and neat. They took away all empty boxes and packing material. None of my items were damaged and they made sure I had all of my items where I wanted them and that everything was unpacked to the level I wanted. Our family moves a lot (every 2 to 3 years.)We have had several crews pack and move our things over the years. This crew was wonderful. Ruby, Tony, and Karen were so kind, efficient, and professional that I wish we had had them as our moving crew for every move. Ruby and Tony arrived early and called me to let me know they were outside but told me to take my time and let them know when I was ready. Karen arrived shortly after. They were knowledgeable and polite. They answered all of our questions, packed up quickly, and went over all the instructions and important information with us. We are a military family, and my husband received new orders, so the military's household goods contracted McCarthy to pack our condo for us. This was our third military move and by far the WORST. So many of our items were broken, and things were packed illogically (or not at all), or disassembled for no reason. Some boxes had too much packing paper, and some had practically none, and the brand new Amazon fire stick that we purchased for our daughter three weeks before our move went MISSING (we checked all of the boxes with her tv equipment in them three times to be sure, and it was unplugged from her tv by the packing crew, but nowhere to be found... the remote made it to our new home though!). Very disappointing because the crew all seemed like very nice guys, but I guess they are the kind of people that smile to your face and then do otherwise behind your back. The most impressive part was that only one item in my kitchen broke, even though that's usually where most of the damage usually occurs. If you are moving, just dropkick your items into the back of a truck instead of hiring this company. read more

Danny and George did a fabulous job of moving us this past week. They arrived on time explained exactly what would be done and had truck all loaded in 2.5 hrs. They then arrived at destination house put down protected pads on floor and had everything set up and delivered, took all trash and completed within 4hr time.
