not only is this the worst mcdonald's i've ever been to; but it is by far the worst "restaurant" i've ever been to...this is a very small town; and with any luck, they will be gone before long, and the space taken by something much better...go to fred's across the street; go to carl's jr on the other side of town (5 mins away); go anywhere but here...the only reason they are still here is because they are open to screw up your order 24 hrs a day (so is carl's jr); not have what you pay for (who needs salad dressing with a salad, right...???); and give you attitude while they rip you off...oh, and make sure your order your fries (isn't that their claim to fame...???) well done, and you may get them cooked, otherwise it's raw potatoes...this place is a joke; mcdonald's at viejas went under, and i look forward to watching this one fold, as well...it's fast food, people, not rocket science; if you can't master this, please stay off the roads i drive on... letter send to corporate headquarters so that they could also not give a damn... the only thing that is a bigger joke than this so-called "restaurant" is the person i just spoke to on the phone in your "complaint" department...i didn't think it was possible to give a crap less about customers than your restaurant does, but this mental defective i just spoke to earned that title...not only will i never patronize this, or any other mcdonalds ever again; but this is a very small town, i've lived here for 21yrs and know everyone in it, and i will make sure i tell anyone and everyone to not patronize this "daycare center" until they are put out of business and something worth a damn replaces you...i have a few thousand people on my facebook page; as well as many other sites i utilize, and i will make absolute sure that it is known far and wide that this restaurant sucks beyond belief until you are run out of town...i've been ripped off every time i've attempted to actually get what i ordered, and now i will make it up by word of mouth...you stole my money, and now i will cost you plenty...enjoy the loss of business; you're welcome, it's my pleasure...i've already given you one star on yelp; now i will add this complaint to my review for all to see how much you won't contact me, stole my money, and don't give a damn about your customers...enjoy the free pr...ciao read more

I would give this a zero star, but that's not an option. Tried to go yesterday to get an ice cream cone and there was a sign posted (that another reviewer took a picture of) that said the ice cream machine was down. So I left. Today I went back again, because I was craving some soft serve, and the same sign was up. When I asked how long it would take, the guy told me he had no idea how long it would take for the machine to go through the cleaning cycle. Don't know what's up with that, but I'm pretty sure I'd know how long it takes for a machine to clean itself. Definitely disappointed and in disbelief. Get it together McDonald's. read more

Honestly this is my only option for a McDonalds in the area but I'm tempted to start driving all the way to El Cajon. They always close far before their listed hours, one time an hour and a half early! And they always seem to "be out" of whatever I'm ordering (eggs, pies, the ice cream machine is off, etc.). Mcdonalds is what it is, quick food when you're in a hurry right? Well this one has a bad attitude if you come anytime past 10 I'll guess. The day crew has been fine but the night crew doesn't want to be bothered, at all (mgrs included). I've dealt with them and more than once they won't honor what's on the menu which looks digital/changeable. When you get what they allow you to order they won't offer any condiments, napkins, or even a thank you! This and carls jr are the only places open late in this small town. I am a retired native Californian. I have been in the customer service business, for much of my life...I have been a caregiver, salon owner, restaurant manager, cook etc...and basically worked a lot with the public. I am the first to complain about bad service...But today, I am going to give someone who deserves a lot of praise, his recognition. I went today to get the fish sandwhich special...with mom and sister.. Your on duty manager, today is a young man who's name is 'Kevin' the day manager. Please forgive after all my buildup I didn't get his last name, but didn't really want him to know I was going to write this about him, to you. Kevin is tall, and impeccably dressed.. His hygiene is excellent, I noticed him washing his hands after handling something before he handed out food. He is so well groomed but that is just for beginners. His smile, and kindness, is so refreshing. Extremely helpful, and kind. I am on a very fixed income, and pretty poor most of the time. When I go out to eat, I don't even look very nice much of the time...Kevin treats me with ultra respect, and I appreciate that...that is a true mark of superb customer service. He is sweet, attentive, and very professional. I would like to tell you that I wish more young people had his apparent inate talent to work with the public. I love this particular store by the way...All the 'kids' as I call them, are always so sweet....Kudos to Kevin. All managers, should be like him ...thank you..the owner should be proud also of his great talent for hiring great people! read more

Horrible Mc Donald's in Alpine. This isn't the first bad experience I've had. I have definitely learned my lesson this time!! I won't ever go back!! I ordered chocolate chips cookies and when I got home they have me sugar cookies. I could've finish my chicken sandwich because the bun fell apart and was soggy. I asked for no ice in my grand kids drinks because they were a bit sick with a cold. Of course they put ice in them. I was in the drive thru so I gave them the drinks and they had to pour them out and give me two new drinks. I don't think the owner would appreciate the cost of all their mistakes. I Lso hope the franchise owner reads the review. I too wouldn't give them a star at all but that isn't an option!! I have heard complaints about this McDonalds but had pleasant experiences until this week. I had a simple order, burgers 3 and fries. Waited for over 20 minutes. When I askes (finally) about the delay I was informed by a young person that I needed to "learn patience". I unloaded on the kid and felt bad about it. I do have manner, unfortunately this employee does not and judging other reviews that appears to be the case with many of this particular franchise. This is the worst McDonald's in terms of service and functionality. With the exception of a few really young ones, the employees are often very rude and condescending. This would be tolerable if they could do their job correctly. They screw up orders constantly and seem to misconstrue your request a different way each time. Today the computer wasnt working properly so it was a slow process but thats understandable. The woman taking orders was rude and kept saying she had to "put you on hold" to do something else. Part of my order was a nugget combo and a spicy mcchicken. They said they cant do a spicy mcchicken (despite me purchasing it at this location frequently) but would make a request. We get home and find NO NUGGETS! (the best part) and they charged us for one of the artisan grilled chicken sandwiches..as a combo..for $8.69 but they put the tiny mcchicken spicy patty on it? So instead of nuggets, we got charged almost $9 for normally $1 worth of chicken. This location never fails to surprise me. read more

Three nights ago I went through the drive thru and ordered a mcchicken, two small fries and a 20 piece chicken nuggets. While ordering through the intercom I was disappointed in the low customer service level as I was not greeted or anything of that matter. Regardless I did not pay too much attention to that and proceeded to the second window to give my payment, when I arrived to the window the young lady was rude and held out her hand in silence motioning for my card. ( I work in retail and I understand we all have bad days but there is still no Excuse for that type of negativity) after giving me my card back She asked me to park my car and that they would bring me my food, I agreed and parked my car. While waiting I realized that 3 cars already had gone through the drive thru and it had already been 10 minutes since I ordered my food. From that point I was annoyed in that the point of the drive thru is so I wouldn't have to get out of my car. I got off my car and informed the lady at the register of my situation she starred blankly at me and walked away which I found to be rude and unprofessional from there the same girl from the window who had told me to park my car saw me rolled her eyes and handed me my food which I might point out WAS ALREADY READY AND GETTING COLD! at this point I was very annoyed I had been waiting in my car for no reason as my food was ready! Anyways I check my bag and there was no sauce l, although very annoyed I politely asked if I could get sauce still without saying a single word the teenager shoved sauce in to my bag and walked away. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have most definitely asked to talk to a manager but lesson learned I will no longer park my car If they ask me too I will wait in the drive thru because that kind of service is despicable. I was really looking forward to having a McDonald's in town. I really like their ice cream and smoothies. Their dollar menu is also adequate, considering it's a dollar, or slightly more than a dollar. However, I have been very disappointed with this McDonald's since it opened. I only write my review now as I was hoping things would improve as they worked out the kinks. However, the number of times the ice cream machine has been down and the unbelievably long wait times for simple hamburgers continues, and is just bad business sense for a McDonald's. It is so consistently slow that I now time how long it takes for me to get my order. This McD is an owner operated store, I believe, so I hope the owner reads this and other reviews and tries to improve this store. The only reason I give this store two stars instead of one is that, believe it or not, I've visited worse McDonald's (i.e., the old Viejas McDonald's which was just horrible and the RB one I now go too has even longer wait times.) read more

March 17, 2013, 11:46 AM. I ordered from drive through. I ordered two fish sandwiches and small fries. The bill was $9.80 and I gave her a $20.00 bill and .80 cents. She had to go back to the register 3-times before she figured out how what change to give. She handed me the food and there was only one fish sandwich. I told her that she only gave me one fish sandwich. She told me that she only charged me for one. I told her that I paid her $9.80 for two fish sandwiches and fries. As I turned around to get my receipt, she went and got the other sandwich. As I tried to give her the receipt, she just shoved the bag with the other fish sandwich into my hand, turned around and brushed me off. I understand that these are young kids and they are probably new at giving change so I didn't have a problem with that, however there was no excuse for being rude to a customer no matter how young she is. This is probably one of the worst McD's I've ever been in.....and that includes almost all of the 50 states plus several in Mexico and one in Rome!....we were there on a Sunday about noon, a trainee was taking orders and tho she was polite, she was nervous and not well-trained or supervised....she took our order but when it was transmitted to the cook, we hear a voice from the back "we don't do the chicken wraps anymore"...so I changed it to a salad...again the voice "we don't do the Asian Salad here"...I changed it again....but got charged $5.79 for the salad I didn't get instead of the $3.99 meal I did order.....the trainee called the manager who gave me a handful of money and walked away (turns out it was $1.50...should have been $1.94 but this was getting old...)...of the 6 people who came in just before or after us, ALL 6 orders were wrong! And then, they ended up giving half of our order to the person at the drive-thru so we had to wait for ours to be prepared a second time...oh, btw, the soda machine was not working but they continued to take orders for sodas...go figure....AND the ladies' restroom was badly in need of attention (especially the sink faucets which spit out a couple of ounces of water and then quit....liquid soap and heated air dryers do not mix well!)
