Every single time I go to this McDonald's it is literally the best food I have ever had from any McDonald's ever. The manager that manages this place knows what she's doing! You will not be disappointed by going to this McDonald's! The best McDoubles I've ever had. This is the only McDonald's that I go to any more I will not go to any other McDonald's in all of San Diego or Imperial County. Yes, that's the pic I took last Saturday while I was waiting in line for my food. Hot day and no ice cream products and apparently no communication because when I asked the girl at the window when she thought the ice cream would be back online, she shook her head and said "We're not selling ice cream? No one told me that...so I don't know." Went through drive through. Ordered the $16 big Mac combo that comes with 2 big Macs, 2 fries, 20 nuggets and a drink. Drive through screen showed the regular $10 big Mac meal. Tried to correct it but employee wasn't responding to the microphone. Let cashier know that the order was wrong. He started to argue with me that "you said combo not deal". All I wanted was the right order and price. He told me "fuck you" as I proceeded to the pick up window. My food was handed to me but not my drink that I paid for. Let the window employee know and he got an attitude with me. Told me the machine was taking awhile. Ok well that doesn't make sense because when he handed me my food he said "have a nice day". And how does a drink machine " take awhile". These two employees lied to me, argued with me, and tried to steal my drink from me. I can only hope my food hasn't been tampered with. With the integrity issues who knows. You best believe I wont be eating here again. And I'm making an effort to let everyone I know, know about my experience. I've already told 3 people and haven't even eaten my food yet. Unreal how terrible customer service was. Unacceptable and just plain mean. Im considering never going to any McDonald's ever again. Long wait time for simply ordering a tea and a Hi-C and even then the order was incorrect. Noticed managers place the blame on the young employees. Your employees are a reflections of management. Please learn to take full responsibility. If your employees are not squared away it is because you are not squared away. Great way to kill morale in your team by telling the customer "she doesint know she's new" correct answer should have been " how can I correct this error and how can we do better" and then turning to you employee in private and provide additional training. read more

The lack of competence at this establishment is beyond astounding. After multiple visits, I can only assume it would be more efficient if McDonalds still allowed employees with down syndrome to work in their restaurants. Beware, the corporate site says this location is open 24 hours, we came around 1:15 am and they said they're closed. We noted the hours on corp site all we got was "that hasn't been updated in forever." Good way to piss off what few customers you get. Thanks for nothing, this McD is now our last choice, Apparently this is just a franchise location, no big loss considering their food is nothing special. . The drive-thru employees are usually awful. Rude, don't ever say hello or thank you, and my order is always wrong. I managed a fast food restaurant for several years and I understand how things get, but something is missing in the training because reading through these reviews makes me realize it's a consistent behavior. Rolled up to the drive-thru a few minutes before midnight on January 17th, 2021 and not only was the store already closed, but the workers were already driving off. I worked in fast food myself for a long time, so I understand the feeling of wanting to go home early, but really? I normally wouldn't write a review like this, but don't mess with me when I'm hungry. Mcdonald's in Alpine sucks They never get your order right,they always forget something in your bag they always make me pull up to wait for my food and I still get our food cold so what's the purpose of pulling me up to wait ,if I'm getting cold food stale half empty fries,you try to call to complain by of course they don't answer.this is not the employees fault this is the management fault because they're the ones telling employees to park the cars this restaurant has been bad since day 1. read more

All I need to say is they now charge for sauce. I think when McDonalds starts charging for extra sauce when their food is particularly dry. It's overly cheap even for McDonalds. I know they have been trying to change their image to a classier experience but charging for sauce is the cheapest thing you can do. It's the equivalent of buying budget airline thickets and getting charged for everything else like carry on sand everything. read more

I got to this place with my two kids early at 11am and ask for a breakfast meal and didn't wanted to help me they give me a bad attitude only wanted to sell me lunch when it wasn't even lunch time yet. We are from Arizona and we got into an accident with a deer. Our car is really jacked upa en our kids are really shaken up. The highway patrol escorted us out of the highway and we stopped at the McDonald in alpine and I can't be more grateful to the manager Jenn. The were closed they let's us in so that we could wait for help. She was very nice and when she saw our car she offered us a drink and a comfortable place to sit. She made us feel like family. These workers are so bad, they have no drive or work ethic but makes sense why they work at a fast food chain. Always gets orders wrong, or missing items. Make you wait in parking lot for food when there is no line and bing you food that is not fresh and not edible, all in all they should close this pile of junk down and open something better. Can I give less that one star? This is by FAR the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. It opened just a couple years ago, so you'd think it would be awesome, but...NO. First off, the staff is rude. Not just rude, but RUDE. Like they go out of their way to not be nice. And if they get your order correct (which is rare), it will likely be undercooked or ice cold. Today is Super Bowl Sunday. Seems like a day when many people might want a quick bite in the morning, right? I went there for coffee, just coffee...and they had their drive-thru blocked off with "wet floor" signs. Seriously?? McDonald's corporate office allows them to just close the drive-thru like that? I think not. I left and went somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and SKIP this McDonald's location. It's McDonalds. Either you like the food or don't. I usually try to avoid McD's since they don't buy American beef, but sometimes you are in a hurry and there is nothing else closer. This McD's has gotten better since they first opened, but the service is still inconsistent. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but they always lack any interpersonal skills. Just a job to them. I do always see it very clean. The drive thru seems to take much longer than any other restaurant and is extremely tight to navigate unless you are driving a Prius. Especially if they want you to pay at the first window. The food is handed to you with barely a smile or thank you. read more

The McDonald's in Alpine has horrible service. They missed up my order twice. The male manager has a bad attitude!

Today was terrible. In total I believe over the course of the last 5 years or however long this McDonald's has been in place in Alpine California, I have visited here a number of times. Years ago one of my first jobs was working in fast-food, so I tend to be a bit more sympathetic toward places like this. There's a lot going on, you have to make the food quickly, you have to be polite and courteous, the pay that you receive is not very good, so for all those reasons and more I tend to be a little more forgiving. Today, I went through the drive-thru and ordered two sausage egg McMuffin sandwiches. The lady who took my order stated she couldn't hear me. I was speaking plainly, I was speaking loudly, but she just stated that she couldn't hear me. As she was talking, I could here the staff chit-chat ting away. So I restated my order in the same way and no problem. Again I don't really care so much about that, I just want fast courteous service and the food that I ordered in a timely manner. Today I waited something like 15 minutes to give the cashier my money. When I pulled up, she looked at me and said "we're waiting on eggs, can you pull forward over there." So I did, and I waited approximately 7 more minutes. A woman walks out and gives me a bag with three sandwiches. She said sorry and just turned and walked away. I told her to have a nice day and she returned the gesture over her shoulder as she was walking away. 21 minutes total for an order of two sandwiches. This is generally consistent with my overall experiences since they've been in business at that location. I usually get an apology, or they put extra food in the bag with almost every order I have placed. One day I brought my family into the restaurant to have ice cream. While we were there, the managers of the store, or perhaps the owners, were tearing apart the shift manager that was working there over a myriad of things, right in the lobby. The woman was in tears and it was a very awkward and unpleasant situation, so I left with my family. I don't think I went back there for over a year. Well lo and behold, the same thing that this woman was getting torn apart for happened to me again. I'm generally a peaceful person all the way around, but today just sort of pushed me over the edge. This is consistently the worst McDonald's I've ever been to and I don't believe I will ever go back there again. This is a small town and it's pretty convenient, but no more. One morning I ordered a breakfast burrito combo, and as I'm driving down the road eating, I noticed that the middle part is frozen and it was disgusting. I called the restaurant to talk to the manager and instead of her listen to me about what went wrong, she just offered me free food. That is not what I wanted,I just wanted to tell her what happened. There's a McDonald's in Eastlake, San Diego. It is probably the best McDonald's in San Diego County. I don't believe I have ever waited more than 2 minutes from the time that I have ordered to receive my food and be on my way. The staff there is extremely friendly courteous and they just generally have their stuff together. I know it's a different restaurant and probably has different owners, but it would probably be a good idea to cycle your employees through a place like that where they have their act together, so that they can see how things should be done. Eventually the employees here are going to be making $15 an hour, I cannot imagine paying them that for this kind of service. read more

I usually don't leave negative reviews because I respond to them for a living, and it's funny how upset people get at stupid things. But here's some constructive criticism: Only 3 stars for the awkward scene behind the counter of the younger manager (dark hair) getting audibly upset at his crew for not having sausage patties or some other items ready. I mean I'm sure they all hate their jobs and I don't blame them, but it's embarrassing to get visibly annoyed at your crew in front of the whole restaurant. He looked pissed off and talked to one of the employees outside for like 10 minutes. Looks unprofessional and immature, even if the kids working there screwed up. Don't you have a back office or something? If your crew sees you acting unprofessional, there's not a lot of reason for them to act any different (though the workers here have always seemed nice). Besides that, it's clean inside and we've never had bad food here ‍ read more

Being ran by kids. They told us our fries would be 3 minutes and to pull in front. We can see one dark haired boy in the window, and random kid with long hair who just pulled up in a truck brought out our food, I thought our bag was given to the wrong person but he said he worked there and was picking up his check..weird, then he went back in and him and the dark haired boy were laughing uncontrollably, super suspicious. One burger wasn't wrapped and lettuce/sauce all over the other food, fries were not full either. Bummer. We just moved to japatul, but will not be back. read more

Great service and usual menu. Not much difference in quality of food from any other McD's, but the staff makes all the difference. Store is always clean in the dining area. Needs a little more tlc in men's room. But, they can't check it after each use. Grandkids love it. read more

Yeah...this McDonalds sucks. I don't eat a lot of fast food, and really don't ever expect it to be great, but this place never is. Told myself last year that I would not eat here again, but, kids were hungry and it was quick. I got a burger and fries too. Burger was cold, literally, and had some type of liquid all over it. Bun was drenched and way soggy. I think it had been sitting out for a long time. If the liquid was the juice from the burger, then they have other issues going on. Fries were just as cold as the burger. If my memory is right, I said I wouldn't eat there again because the food was always cold. Oh well... I'll give them this, no issues when returning the burger. Spend the extra few minutes and drive down to the McDonalds on Greenfield. Much better than this one. read more

Literally the worst McDonald's ever! Food is never right or cold and the employees don't care. I went there today for probably the last time. I don't have high expectations because after all it is McDonald's but they're seriously terrible. I placed my order in the drive thru, which was two meals, they had me pull aside and wait. They walk the food out to me and the fries are limp, cold and stale. I went back in and told them I'm unsure why I was waiting because the fries were cold. Not one employee apologized but gave me the same batch of fries again by the manager who told me they were "fresh". They will no longer be getting my business. Hopefully they either get new management or go out of business and someone who actually cares puts something decent on its place. read more
