Very disrespectful manager. she took the order incorrectly and when we brought up to her attention, she had an attitude, we explained that the order was incorrect and her response was "YOU ARE GETTING ON MY F%$%# NERVES". Walked away from the window and kept screaming and cursing. Kept people waiting and hold up the entire drive thru and never came back to the window. The other team members refuse to give up her name because she is "the manager", but they tried to help with the situation and corrected the order after waiting for approximately 15 minutes. Ordered a vanilla latte through the app with my friend and then went through the drive thru. Once we got to the drive thru window we were told that they did not have any vanilla lattes and they couldn't refund our money as it was ordered through the McDonalds app. Why should we have to be the ones to suffer the consequences of this issue when it was McDonalds fault as to why it happened. We were told we could only exchange the drink instead, so we asked for a vanilla milkshake. We were given a strawberry milkshake and had realized it was the wrong flavor upon tasting it, so we then went back through the drive thru and simply asked for a vanilla one instead. Instead of politey exchanging our milkshake for the right flavor like most McDonalds do, the McDonalds worker decided to laugh in our face, tell us he could not give us our vanilla milkshake because we had "draken some" (we had to take two sips to know it was the wrong flavor), and ignored us when we questioned why we couldn't exchange the drink for the right flavor. The worker at the drive thru was a Mexican man that couldn't speak English well, but sure knew how to laugh in our face. This man screamed at us and abruptly slammed the drive thru window in our face after this encounter. To add onto this already bad experience, the cheese burger that we received had no ketchup on it like requested, but rather globs of mayo between the patty and bun. When Ive placed my order, I ordered 5 sauces with my chicken sandwich and large fries. But when I got my bag and checked inside it I only had 2 in it. I've submitted this same complaint on McDonalds website, but I feel that others need to know about my experience there. My breakfast this morning was so nasty, I spit it out. My coffee was absolutely undrinkable (I couldn't keep it in my mouth long enough to determine what was wrong). My egg and cheese biscuit tasted like cleaner and plastic chemicals. Actual sub humans work at this location. They seem to only succeed in messing things up. They have no Buffalo sauce, fine. ask for ketchup and there's none in the bag. and they can't even ring things up properly and have no problem arguing with you at the window. I wanted to review this place just because it tends to me a bit more unique than the typical McPoison's. The 4 stars are simply for three reasons and three reasons, only. Firstly, its location. It's in a great location and is the only McDonald's directly south of I485. Secondly, the restaurant is always very well maintained and feels clean, and lastly, the playground. This location has a great kids play area, especially compared to other McDonald's locations; I've never seen one quite like it. It has a lot of different activities on the climbing area alone ranging from ropes to spinners to climbing nets. It and also has a few other activities such as interactive video games where the child stands on a skateboard and manipulates the game --they're actually get to do some fun physical activity after eating their 700+ calorie lunch. It also has a similar type device but is a racing game. As well as the video games, it also has a couple of lower areas where very young children can play if they aren't able to climb on the taller activities. They even have a fully-netted mini trampoline which is also great for kids. I really like the seating area where the play area is, too. Unlike most locations, the one's which may have two tables, this has more like 16 tables so more than two families can site and watch their kids pickup virus' which their body isn't immune to yet. One downside to this location being as it's the one around here is that the drive-through line can get quite lengthy; though it does go quickly. It kills me to rate a McDonald's 4 stars, but based on the three factors I mentioned above I feel it deserves it. Key: Notice the dates on the reviews. This place was great but mismanaged into not so great. First thing to understand is that this is a fantastic location. The result is that they don't have to do it right to keep people coming in. I went inside the restaurant to eat last Saturday at 5:45 pm. Immediately noticed the place was a dump. Trash everywhere. Even a seat cushion was ripped. (When was the last time you viewed a ripped seat cushion in a McDonald's?) I used the restroom - same thing - one hand dryer was busted. Gross. But I thought, maybe they cater to the drive through and neglect the store? So I went ahead and ordered my food anyways (plus I had a coupon). Both my Big Mac and the 1/4 pounder came with stale buns. How is this possible at 5:45 pm on a Saturday night? One of the two drive thru speakers was not working causing me to be skipped by other, newer customers. When I drove to the window I tried to explain but the order taker cut me off and asked for my order, then had me pull up and wait for my order while other newer customers got their orders and left. After waiting for about 3-4 minutes. I went inside asking the 1st employee I saw for the manager. This person rolled her eyes, while informing me she was the manager. As I tried to briefly explain she repeatedly cut me off, when I asked her not to cut me off, she told me I was overreacting. She also said she was busy and had more customers, implying this as a reason not to let me finish a sentence but I could see 5 workers on the floor including herself and there were no other customers in the lobby. I am also not sure how she knows I was overreacting when she never allowed me to explain my purpose for coming in anyway. The speaker not working I understand. The service here is very, very poor. The place is dirty. I took a picture over the overflowing trash can inside the restaurant at 8:45 am on a Sunday. Consistently slow service. Every time I have been here the service is slow and the staff is at best confused and very indifferent. This morning the service is even worse. I do not normally eat at McDonalds...once every 5 to 10 years but went for a late lunch on Aug 17 2021. There were at least 10 cars in the drive thru queue but the line moved very quickly and the order was taken with out any problems. The young man at the payment window was extremely polite and wore a mask as did the food pick up worker who was also very pleasant. Our food was still hot and fresh by the time we got home. Upon trying to place my order no one was at the front register so I decided to place my order at the kiosk. I made a error on my part. Once I realized my error it was too late, so I decided to speak with the manager. The manager ignored me at first but then came to see what the issue was. I explained to him what the issue was and he said it's your fault not mine. I understood that and that's what I told him. I take complete and full responsibility of my actions at the kiosk. The manager at this branch is terrible. Every time we place an order she doesn't give a receipt and she always wants to claim that you didn't pay. One time we placed an order and she charged us god the full order but then there were items missing off of it and I ended up paying again. I didn't realize until we got home. My daughter one time went in and placed an order and paid for it, after waiting quite a while she asked about her order and the manager said 'two females took the order it's out of my hands'. My daughter tried to explain to her that she's been waiting in front of her for her order but she wouldn't help. She also became very aggressive and my daughter eventually paid again. I can't argue with anything the other reviewers have said. There are two comments I want to make, one positive, one negative. First, the good: This is the only McD's I have been to that has electrical outlets in the dining area where I can get a booth and plug in my laptop. This is convenient as I am often stuck in south Charlotte for several hours and need a place to kill time and search job listings, etc. This is why I gave two stars instead of one. The bad: The cleanliness of the rest rooms (at least the men's room) leaves much to be desired, even for a McDonald's. I get the impression that all of the employees are hoping that someone else will attend to it. As for the food, well, it's McDonalds, so what can I say. I usually get a drink and, if anything, maybe an apple pie. read more

This may have been the worst food establishment and quality I've experienced. It is understood it is McDonalds and a certain level of expectations should be held. The odor throughout the building had a very distinct sewage resemblance causing me To have waves of nausea throughout dinner. I do a lot of travel to 3rd world countries and feel I can hold my own, but given the location of this McDonalds and the clientele it is trying to server, I would of expected this more in a country that has much less sanitation requirements. The clerks are efficient and work quickly to get your order. I am disturbed by customers who use the app on the phone to make an order then are impatient because the data didn't come in before they walked in, so the waitress couldn't process the order. I told myself I wouldn't come back to this McDonalds again and for some reason I did today. This his historically one of the worst and slowest locations that I know of. We placed a mobile order and we arrived 10 mins later. When we arrived we went in and literally there are so many people waiting on orders that we had difficulty finding a spot to stand. Someone told me they were waiting 40 mins. After we waited 15 mins I asked for a refund. The manager told another employee she wasn't going to issue any more refunds as she already did 30 today (this is at 12:30pm). Another employee stepped up and issued my refund. Horrible service.
