We always swing by for breakfast and we have the McDonald's app for buy 1 get 1 breakfast sandwich. We always do take out and curbside pick up. Service is really fast, we get our food in 5 minutes. I think it is faster to order from the app than through the drive thru, saves a lot of time. The area is ok, it is in Hayward. It is beside Food Max. This is for my order regarding to limited time 10 piece chicken nuggets with WcDonalds sauce. I ordered through McDonalds mobile app and when I go to pick up the order using drive-through, the guy at the window told me that "we don't have the sauce you ordered". I was extremely disappointed because the whole point of this item is for the sauce. He continued" you don't want it anymore?" I have to compromise by saying you can replace it with other sauces. This is the second time this location fails deliver what it supposed to carry. I had same problem last year for the Szchuang sauce. I go to another McDonalds near my work in SF the next day and they have extra WcDonalds sauces for me. I placed an online order for my brother to pick up after school so he can eat. It's ordered, it's paid for. You can't complete and online order without paying for it. He goes to get the food and a girl (IDK her name) stops him and tells him it's not paid for. He shows her the order receipt. She says it's not paid for. I even highlight where it says paid by Apple Pay. I sent him a picture of the purchase from the Apple Wallet. She still says it's not paid for despite it literally being approved. She and everyone else there refused to give my brother the food that has ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR. My mom arrives to settle the situation only for them to change their story about it. Now they say even though it's paid for they can't give it to him. My mom is frustrated, my brother is frustrated. No one is cooperating. I assume that they're being discriminatory against my brother for the way he's dressed. But my mom is dressed fine with no problems whatsoever. Which would make this a lawsuit that I intend to pursue. They caused emotional and mental harm. Corporate is supposed to call my mom back within the week so I will definitely update as this was pretty much traumatizing. He was there waiting for the food before the order was actually even finished. She was handing him the food and he said thank you thinking he was going to get his food when she took it back and said oh you can't have it it's not paid for. Got to parking area and there was about 6 cars all waiting like myself. I went in about 20 min ago.9:10pm I ordered my food and asked for an ice water. First I asked for a large size water. They said they couldn't do large size so I said that's fine. However when I pulled up to the window, they were trying to give me 3 tiny ICE CREAM cups of water. I told her I didn't ask for three and I didn't have space for 3 anyway to please just give me the normal sized cup of water that's normally given.(Which is the small regular cup not a tiny ice cream cup. Never seen that before). They really started talking by the window in Spanish (which I understand) saying I had to PAY for a normal cup of ice WATER. Mind you, I had a previous cup of ice water from the Fremont location earlier when I bought food for my toddler and I. I showed it to her and said "this is the normal cup of water not the tiny ice cream cup." The manager came up to window and wasn't even letting me get a word in. She kept repeating herself over me "we can't do that" over and over with an attitude. This is the type of service that is really ruining this business! Looking at the ratings now I understand why this location is a one star. I couldn't even see any of the name tags to point them out. Do better as we are the one spending the money on your business! We don't come to get our dinner time ruined by hostile environment and rude workers. I've worked fast food before as a closing manager and this whole behavior was completely unacceptable! Most of the time the workers are just chopping it up in the back and they will see you at the counter and won't say a word or even look at you. With this McDonald's location being a 2min drive from home, I come here more often than I care to admit. I'd highly recommend ordering through the app, then hopping into the drive-thru line for pick up. There are two downsides to this location: drive-thru line is almost always long and the staff always sound like they hate their jobs. The drive-thru line moves pretty slowly, especially at night. I really dislike going to this location but it is the closest location to my children's school. I have called them to see what toys they have and they told me Goofy when it was Pluto. Needless to say, I was searching for the 50th anniversary toys that my kids didn't have already. I usually order on mobile and then pick up at the marked spots. They usually take about 20 minutes to bring it out. I understand that it is peak time but still... they also need more spots because drive through people will park and then mobile orders won't get a spot. Super annoying. Their fries are hit or miss. This is about misleading advertising, and the malicious intent to cheat their customers. I've watched them put fries in the boxes and they squeeze the bottom so the fries sit up high when they serve them to you. If they put them on a tray they spill them over so you never know they were half empty. If they put them in a bag, by the time the fries settle, you've left. Don't waste your time or money coming to this establishment. Especially during the morning shift. The employees are too busy talking amongst themselves instead of paying attention to their customers and making sure their order is correct and they received the food they paid for. It doesn't matter how simple your order is or how small they will get it incorrect. When you go back to rectify their mistake they want to go back and forth with you, talk over you and argue with you rather than simply fixing their mistake or refunding you the money. This isn't the first time this has happened either. It happens every single time I order and particular staff are working. I will no longer be returning to this establishment and I suggest you do the same. There's a sign at the drive-thru that says you can "round up" your payment (to the next dollar) to donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities. I wanted to do this because RMHC was very helpful to my family for a very difficult time in our lives. The order taker at the drive-thru had no idea what I was asking him to do when I said to "round up". Perhaps it was unclear through the speakers? No. Even face to face in the payment window, the cashier had no clue about rounding up anything. I do not believe this was a language barrier. The cashier's English was adequate. Either the cashier did not pay attention when trained about this or he has never been trained at all about this. If this is how it's going to be, they should take down the signage.
