    LARGE FRIES

We ordered two LARGE FRIES; the size they gave us was small. It says, "Large fries" on the label, but this is not the large size. The guy told us to wait for another bag, then, after a couple of minutes, he came to ask, "Are you guys waiting for another bag?" What the hell? Seriously? So ripped off! And it's so expensive! ***Negative Star****

ZERO STAR! Waited in drive through line for 30 minutes only for them to tell me at the speaker that they were only accepting cash! They don't think they should put out a sign?????? Multiple times that I come here specifically night crew never fail to mess up on my order. The workers including managers attitude, customer service, etc. SUCKS! They are rude, sassy & careless when they are corrected on what was missing or told the shakes/McFlurrys are melted! I came here another time & asked for fresh fries & got stale soggy cold fries & when I asked them to change it out for fresh fries I got fresh fries filled with salt even the bottom of the bag had a pile of salt!! MAJORITY not all of night crew is careless & lack customer service!! Do Better McDonald's

Somehow almost everytime I come they always get my order wrong. Sometimes I ask for a chicken sandwich with no lettuce. And I get extra lettuce. Or extra mayo. Also I get cold fries, please no cold fries they're the worst I just throw it away.. But please don't ever mess with my coke. Sometimes that's all I need is a coke from McDonald's it's the best.. and I get a diet coke.. Sometimes you get a rude cashier but other times they're simply nice. It's a give and take. Will come back for my coke ad usual.

I had not been inside the Pu'unene McDonalds since their renovation. I was pleasantly surprised how different it looks and how their operation is now. As soon as you enter there are four touch screen order windows that you can self order. I thought those were really cool. On these screens there were easy options that even had info on coupons and deals. I tried one out today with their $2.50 bundle for hashbrowns and it was great. Order time during the morning was was actually pretty quick. Took around 10 min maximum from ordering to receiving. My food was hot and they clearly called my order number. Overall, pretty solid McDonalds. I also noticed that they deliver too, so might be an option in the future.

I know it's weird to review McDonald's but I felt like I needed to review a Hawaiian McDonald's. I tried the McTeri and taro pie which are only available in Hawaii. The McTeri tasted just like McDonald's Japan's teriyaki burger which was nostalgic for me. The teriyaki sauce is slightly sweet but I loved it. Super messy to eat so have a sink or wet wipes ready! I didn't expect much from the taro pie as I where'd the haupia pie but they were out. It was surprisingly really good - crispy and perfect texture / level of sweetness. Highly recommend Hawaiian McDonald's!

I'm a Mushroom Angus burger fan and have never been disappointed by this sandwhich. This location is pretty fast considering two lanes.

Worst food, coffee & customer service we've had at a McDonald's. Don't waste your time.

Two slices of toast topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers, and fresh dill, served with a side salad tossed in a balsamic dressing. Don't get me wrong, I drool over their pastries, especially the medialuna. But when I want a light lunch that is still filling and savory, this is it. Everything tastes fresh and put together with care. If you haven't been to Momona Bakery yet, go for the pastries, stay for the salmon toast.

I ended up trying the Mango Danish, and it was outstanding. The pastry was beautifully flaky, buttery, and crisp, while the mango filling was fresh, vibrant, and not overly sweet. The staff was friendly and efficient, even with a steady flow of customers. If you're in Maui and love pastries, Momona is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Lattes. I forget what they were. One had coconut and the other was some sort of Carrot cake. Both were a 5/5.

Since it was Sunday, I decided today was the day. I'm not a big coffee connoisseur because of a health condition I have and caffeine can affect me but I do love coffee (even if it doesn't love me) but I'll usually go with a Tea option or Smoothie. I decided on a simple smoothie so I got the Keiki Smoothie with Banana, Strawberry and Apple Juice. I asked the waitress what sandwich is the most popular and she said the Turkey Pesto Melt and boy did that hit! It really was the BEST sandwich. It was on a crispy, flaky...and might I add...buttery croissant with thick slices of turkey, tomato, creamy pesto aioli and melted provolone! It came with some chips and dill pickle on the side. The only downside was the price-it was about $17 so I'm sure I'll treat myself once in a good while to this. My small smoothie was $8 but refreshing nonetheless. I love the vibes inside with hanging plants and art work throughout. There was someone doing remote work or school in the corner with her sleepy golden retriever next to her, a few locals outside and some visitors inside. The workers are friendly and I saw one clean the outside tables right away after a few parties left. A nice spot to hit up for some nice breakfast, lunch and a coffee with a friend.

You can tell they put real care into what they serve, and it shows in every sip. We ordered two lattes, one with brown sugar and one with vanilla, and both were amazing. He said it was one of the best he has ever had, and I have to agree -- buttery, flaky, and so fresh. The shop itself has such a fun, cozy vibe. There's even a swing inside, which adds such a unique and playful touch. It's the kind of place you actually want to hang out in, not just grab a coffee and go. Service was excellent. The barista was super friendly and even made the cutest latte art, which totally made my day. I ordered a 12 oz and loved that it came in a mug, while my husband got a 16 oz to-go. My only wish is that they would offer mugs for the larger sizes too. It would be a nice way to cut down on paper and plastic and make the experience even better. Overall, Akamai Coffee is a gem. Between the amazing drinks, delicious pastries, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful service, it's the kind of place you'll want to visit again and again.
