One girl said that there has been fires and backups on the Grape Vine almost every other day. Trucks are just driving too fast and brakes are catching on fire. Finally another customer that had just moved to Frazier Park from Texas comes in for lunch too. So, my advice - if you get stuck on Highway 5 before you hit the Grape Vine, there is an escape route to Koehler's Garden & Restaurant in Frazier Park. And yes, we drove through the small towns of Taft and Maricopa to end up at Buttonwillow on H5. The best part of the trip is that we had great burgers and did not sit in traffic.
