I had an absolutely outstanding drive-through experience at this McDonald's, and it compelled me to write my FIRST EVER FAST FOOD Yelp review! On my way home, I decided to swing by this McDonald's for a quick bite. I ordered a cheeseburger, a 4-piece nugget, and some fries. The drive-through line, things moved impressively quick. And the food was ready in a flash. The food...... Fresh, hot, and crispy doesn't even begin to cover it! The cheeseburger was SO GOOD!! and the 4-piece nuggets were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, but let's talk about those fries. They were so scorching hot that I had to resort to grabbing them with my fingernails and blowing on them to avoid burning my fingers and lips. That's what I call seriously fresh and crispy fries! This was, hands down, the BEST McDonald's experience I've ever had. I haven't been back to this area to give it a second try. Rest assured, I'll update my review after my next visit, but for now, I'm basking in the memory of the hottest and crispiest McDonald's feast. read more

My heart is hurting. It was last Tuesday. Around the time when our Earth was flirting with us, rounding away from the last few winks of sun's light before allowing evening to envelop us in her cloak of twilight. I had been good all week... low carb, non animal proteins. I thought what the heck, I deserve it. I pulled up to the drive thru window and ordered an Oreo McFlurry, large please. You have to understand, I don't do this often. A 'treat' if you will. Imagine my surprise when I was served a cup of vanilla ice cream, with some Oreo dust on top.... I have a friend who lived nearby and frequented this location, they would always greet him and ask him how he is. I've come to notice that the staff at this location lack effort and knowledge in the positions that they hold at this McDonald's. Customer service has poor understanding when it comes to customers ordering specific items off the menu, not knowledgeable when it comes to using the McDonald's mobile app, and terrible communication and listening skills when it comes to the customers. Almost all the staff on board are rude, forgetful of customers orders, and have a stand-off energy towards people. This is the closest McDonald's to me, and I used to visit and order from here on a regular. But I've noticed in the last few years. The service has seriously declined! Many times my order is NOT correct, I'm missing things, get NO condiments even after requesting them. Bathroom was dirty, trash in lobby over flowing even with lobby being basically empty wasn't greeted or order taken for at least 2-3 min just standing at the register. Employee even seemed annoyed she had to do her job and hit a few buttons and give change back (15 out of a 20) cuz I used exact change to make it easier. at least 20 different sized fries were already made just sitting in a row together under a heat lamp. I wouldn't say I'm any sort of fast food critic, but I've never encountered such passive aggressive people at a damn Mcdonald's. My boyfriend and I came through the drive thru and their menu was messed up to the point of being unreadable so my boyfriend asked what sodas they had. The employee began to list the sodas and then sounding annoyed said "what do you want?" She seemed like she was trying to get us out of the drive thru so she could be done with her shift. I stopped by here for some coffee while en route to Glendale. There is nothing elaborate to say about this location. It has the design and ammenities found in most other McDonald's locations. They have self-service kiosks now, and a worker guiding people on how to use them. I found this location to be clean, in spite of it being pretty busy. I got my iced coffee after making a pit stop, and made my way back to my car. This place is located close to Sunset Blvd, in the Echo Park neighborhood. The other patrons were mainly locals to the area, but no bad vibes. This location has plenty of parking, and easily accessible. It did its job well, as far as helping me keep my caffeine high up. read more

With the exception of the slightly unwieldy entrance/exit on Glendale Blvd (the rightmost lane merges/disappears right here, and makes it difficult to quickly turn onto the road unless you're going at a fairly decent speed) and the random homeless person hanging around the exterior, a pretty nice McDonald's. Came here once in the morning before work because I had the sudden and unusual craving for a sausage egg McMuffin and this was the place to get it. After having to maneuver around an awkwardly-placed dumptruck, I managed to get into the drive-thru line and ordered with no problem. I paid at the next window, and waited maybe 2 minutes at the food window for my meal to arrive (sausage egg mc muffin combo with medium sized orange juice). If you know what you're expecting and you're craving it, then it super duper hits the spot. It fit the exact flavor profile of a McDonald's sausage egg McMuffin, no more, no less. The orange juice was cool with some thin pulp throughout, the hash browns were hot and crispy on the outside and made the holding paper wrapper all oily as it always does, and the McMuffin had all the right texture, density, flavor, and consistency that one could possibly hope for. One advantage that this location has going for it is that it's also accessible via Alvarado, either going through Rite Aid's parking lot or going down Montana, so there are multiple points of ingress and egress options. read more

One late night I had a sudden craving for a double quarter pounder with cheese. This was the closest McDonalds to the place I was staying, which was in the Echo Park area. Man, this store is definitely not the fanciest place in town. I don't know what the parking lot looks during the day, but, at night, it looks like one of those places that people with meth mouth go to buy drugs. Inside is not any better. I mean, the restaurant is pretty big and it looks clean, but while I was in line waiting to place my order, this young lady solicited money from me and other people waiting and then proceeded to pan-handle at every table. People working at the restaurant didn't seemed to care. I assume that homeless people hanging around is a common occurrence here. The place was pretty busy and it took a couple of minutes for me to get my food, which I ordered "to go" since I didn't feel like eating there.
