I think I'm in the wrong place? $15 for a styrofoam container with cheap food and rice in it? The place itself is really gross. Like a homeless camp on the inside. Zero effort to make this place nice. I was starved when I pulled over because I saw a teriyaki restaurant with an open sign on. You can pretty much eat lunch in LA for $15-$20 anywhere. I was looking for something hearty and I came across Golden Burger 11. It was tucked away in a mini strip mall. I went inside it was definitely a mom and pop shop it had that vibe. I was quite hungry and saw that they had burgers too so of course ya boy had to get that too. I got the double cheese burger and the beef and chicken plate L. So I had the burger first and boy oh boy was it good! It had a nice char taste to it. A little crisp on the outside but flavorful on the inside. At this time I was getting full cuz the double cheeseburger was decent sized but I had to power through onto the main course. Ok so I have to say, the beef is where it's at! So thinly sliced and crisp but it maintained its flavor without it being lost in the crispness. The chicken was good to but overall the beef is where it's at. The people who ran the store were quite nice and helpful. I definitely will come back here whenever I'm feeling for a hearty meal. read more

The parking is in a private lot and your sharing it with other stores. I ordered: The double burger and large fries it was good but I did ask for hamburger no cheese. He added cheese and now I don't know if they charged me. Chicken sandwich was OK. Fries are two different kinds crinkle and regular. The chicken and fish it was ok. Lots of rice. They do a pretty decent teriyaki chicken. But not necessarily any better than any other burger shops or other teriyaki chicken places. They also give you a grilled jalapeño pepper with the combo plate and it packed a lot of heat! The price of the teriyaki chicken is quite high. Compared to similar places serving the same things, this places charges approximately $1.50 to $2.00 more for each item. I don't know that I'll be back with these prices. =( read more

I can't figure out how else to put it. They make the "burgiest" burger in LA and the "teriyakiest" teriyaki bowl in LA. I'll try to explain. There are a few thousand burgers across LA that are just like Golden Burger's. You know exactly what they're like: bun, patty, lettuce, "burger sauce"/thousand island, maybe onions and pickles. For the most part they're the same, except sometimes they're too messy, or they have too much sauce, or they have too many veggies. Something is always just a little wrong, but you live with it, and, in the end, you enjoyed eating it. Golden Burger makes the most perfect version of this style of hamburger. It's neatly put together, doesn't fall apart on you. Condiments, veggies and meat are all there in a perfect ratio to each other and the taste is satisfying. Is this the best burger in LA? No. Will it become your favorite burger? Maybe, but probably not. Does it redefine hamburgers? No, not at all. If it were up to me, this burger would be in the dictionary as the definition of "hamburger." All the same can be said about the Teriyaki bowl, which I also really enjoy. read more

It 's a dingy whole in the wall, fast food type place. Located in a small strip mall with a laundromat, and a donut shop. They have burgers, teriyaki plates, and bowls. I guess if you would compare, it would be something like Waba Grill, Flame Broiler, etc but with burgers as well. (and with a more mom & pop feel). The small teriyaki chicken bowl is made to order. I added avocado for $1.50 and it's basically a whole avocado on my bowl. Who knew teriyaki chicken, rice, Sriracha, and avocado go so well together? Next time I'm getting a bigger bowl. Your average burger joint. I wasn't expecting anything special - stopped by due to proximity & sudden burger craving (on a budget) Both burgers were a little wet/slippery... but I took it to-go. Maybe dining in would've avoided such tragedy! The cheeseburger was a little thin for what I was craving (that rich burger + American cheese unhealthy taste lol). Maybe the double next time? The chicken burger was good! Definitely a nice lighter alternative. I wish it had a little more sauce! Thumbs up for hot fresh fries. Was in the area looking for a place to grub at. Drove around a few times and passed by here and smelled the charbroiled goodness in the air. Went back around and pulled into the small plaza with small parking lot. Since first time here opted for the beef/chicken combo to see what they're about. Steam rice a-ok, chicken juicy, good teriyaki sauce but the beef was really flavorful. Good smoky, charbroiled flavor in the beef. There were a few inedible beef pieces but that comes with the territory. Also added a side order of shrimp. Shrimp was fried perfectly. And the cocktail sauce was just right, not too hot. I need to come back to try the chicken burger. And another combo plate but with that sliced avocado next time. They have a small seating area inside but damn they had the vent AC on full blast. lol I sat towards the back at first but it was hitting me full on in the face. Switched seat to near soda station which was a lil more tolerable. Don't know if they always have the AC going that hard. But sheesh, just a little too strong for me to enjoy my meal fully in there. Tasty teriyaki plates with large servings! Great for a quick lunch. I ordered the chicken and fried fish combo. Chicken was tender with a nice char on the outside. Teriyaki sauce coating the chicken was very good, perfectly sweet and savory at once, but not overpowering the nice seasoning on the chicken. Fried fish was nice and crispy with good flavor as well, and came with some god tartar sauce. The rice was nice as fresh as well. Came with a simple little salad of iceberg lettuce and a single tomato slice, which I could've done without that but I appreciate the effort hahaha, not like it made the food any worse. Cost was about $12.50 for the plate which although I was skeptical of the price, It easily portioned out to 2 meals for me. Will likely return here one day to try the Teri beef plate next time I get a craving. Thank you Golden Burger. I had the Grilled chicken Teriyaki which comes with a very generous portion of rice and chicken, and a small salad. My mom had the beef & fish. Both meals were amazing! It's been a while since I've had a good teriyaki bowl. If you're in the area, this is a place I would highly recommend. It's a TAKE OUT kinda place. Small dining area and a handful of sketchy characters lurking around outside sometimes but it's safe. The only thing in danger is your sense of smell when you walk from your car to the restaurant and back BUT the food is worth it! They have really good TERIYAKI beef, pork and chicken.
