I had a really great drive-thru experience here this evening around 715pm. This McDonald's had two drive-thru lanes and a decent amount of parking. There were a few cars ahead of me but the line was always moving. I think I was through with my food in under 5 minutes. Very impressive. The guy taking my order was nice, and offered me sauces with my order without charging me. You just never know what kind of service you're going to get at these places. I was so excited when McDonald's announced they were bringing back the snack wraps. This was my favorite thing to order off the menu back in the day. Unfortunately they're a little different, no grilled chicken option or honey mustard/chipotle bbq sauce option but that's ok. My food tasted great! I ordered one of each wrap and liked the ranch one the most. The spicy snack wrap was ok, I probably wouldn't order it again! This McDonald's was fine though, I would Definitely come back to this location if I was in the area. read more

I honestly don't understand how this place is still open. I've been denied ordering from the breakfast menu when it's 9:30am The food always tastes stale and like someone rummaged through it after picking their nose in the freezer. They'll charge you for items you didn't order, and then lie and try to call the upcharge for said item THAT YOU DIDN'T ORDER is "a tax," which I'm pretty sure is illegal. Today only I watched the two cars in front of me in the drive-thru get frustrated with the drive-thru staff because of their rudeness and incompetence. The lady in front of me had to ask for her drinks - plural - more than one time because they kept trying to only give her one. She had to show her receipt to demand what she *had already paid for.* Best part? Genuinely the worst location I've ever been to in my life. You sit in the drive-through for at least 30 minutes every single time after waiting for that long you would think that your food would be fresh but nope, that never happens. It's like eating a goddamn cold, stale hockey puck. The employees never seem to know what they're doing constantly get orders wrong one time they had me pull forward into a spot and left me there for an additional 30 minutes and completely forgot to bring out my food. I ordered my breakfast meal from this location through 2 of my food delivery apps. I wanted 2 sausage McMuffins. I was curious about which app was faster in delivering. DD or GH. I ordered 1 of my breakfast sandwiches from GH and the other sandwich from DD. I ordered both sandwiches at 10:20 before they stopped making breakfast at 10:30. Both couriers went to pick my order roughly at the same time, around 11 o'clock. They only made 1 of my orders. They made my food and gave it to one of the apps courier no problem. But they told the other courier, from the other app, that my order was put in too late so they didn't make it. ALL of my delivery apps don't even show the breakfast menu for McDonald's if you click on McDonald's in the app at or after 10:30. So I ordered my breakfast at the correct time. I'm a professional cook at a restaurant that servers brunch. Brunch at my restaurant stops at 2. If a guest comes in and orders brunch at 1:59 I make their brunch order. If a guest orders brunch after 2, when brunch is over, they can't order brunch and have to order from the regular menu. Therefore, because I ordered breakfast at 10:20 they should've made both of my breakfast orders and THEN closed down their breakfast station. Moreover, I called the restaurant to tell them about my situation. They never picked up the phone after I called 4 times. It went straight to their answering machine. They wanted me to just leave a message. Finally I left a message and they never called me back. Great customer service. read more

If they wanted to put the fountain drinks behind the counter they should be able to refill without giving attitude. I come to this McDonald's once a week. 90% of the time I get a correct order and I have a good experience. I think people expect too much. This is McDonald's!! It's a cheap fast food restaurant. It's not fancy or expensive! The neighborhood at 44th street and Thomas has a big problem with homeless people and it's not the best neighborhood but the employees here do a good job and they keep up with the orders very well. There's a manager who is awesome!! The few times they messed up my order this manager has automatically corrected it and given me a replacement right away without question. It's a lady manager who works Monday evening and she's fantastic! Most of the employees are very friendly. Yes, it's a seedy part of town but overall it's a good McDonald's and they will get your order correct with hot, fresh food! read more

Seventeen Minutes. Seventeen minutes for me to order my food at 6:35 AM on a Saturday until I reached the window to get my food. There were four cars in the drive through, including mine but it some how took seventeen minutes to serve me. During that 17 min from my order to me getting to the food window, no one thought to start my coffee order so I ended up leaving without the drink I paid $3.50 so I wouldn't be late for work. Not only was this an unpleasant experience, the drive through attendant cursed at me when he handed me the wrong drink. "Oh shhht that drink is not yours." All I got was a "sorry we are short staffed" but not for the curse. This is not the only negative experience i have had at this location. I used to buy breakfast for my team here from their "$1 Menu", I used quotes because please see below. I stopped because I was only given 2/3rds of my order on multiples occasions. This location does not ask if you would like salt or ketchup and rarely provides napkins with orders. The mocking air quotes above are also due to this locations prices. This location also has higher prices that other McDonald's in Phoenix. Dollar menu items are on average $0.40-$0.80 higher than other locations. Sandwiches that are $1 at other locations are magically $1.59 or $1.79 here. Coupled with the bad service, high prices, and meh food, I would drive on by if I were you. read more

I would like to say that as soon as I walk in the place I was discriminated against by the Manager whom was making jokes about homelessnes. I'm clearly dressed to impress as a 43 year old black man should be. But this guy had the nerve to ask me if I had a shopping cart out front, clearly being rude and insulting. He had the nerve to talk down on the homeless, like I see guys and women hustling for money all day just to come to Mc Donald's and sit and enjoy a wholesome meal, which they probably hadn't eaten in days. But to get treated like crap when you are already down is heartbreaking. I've been Homeless and I was blessed to eat at McDonald's daily and was able to get out of the winter cold for a while in Los Angele. There was not a time limit on paying customers? I was able to get help from employees with my job resume and that's how I got a job from the love that was shown by Hardworking McDonalds employees that seen me as a person not just some piece of trash. I have a mental illness and I am a loyal customer from a kid who couldn't wait to get a happy meal on the weekends with the Toy. I think whoever trained this manager needs to pull him to the side and give him better advice. It's not the best part of town and the unhoused people in the area will come up to your window trying to talk to you and ask for money but I live in the area and don't necessarily mind it too much and sometimes even offer them food. However, I waited at the first window to pay, but I didn't see anyone for a min., so I pulled forward to the second window and she ends up hanging her head out of the window, screaming at me talking about why don't people listen. I didn't hear them very well when ordering so I didn't know if I was at the right window people make mistakes if you're miserable at your job figure out how to manage that and not take it out on customers. I went to this location on 3/6/24 to get a drink on my lunch break, I didn't get the name of the manager but he was so disrespectful and insensitive to a homeless man. As he was in the middle of servicing the customer and kept making faces and wincing before he stepped back covered his nose and told the customer " sorry your bo smells really bad " stood back for a minute or so before going back to the register just to repeat himself not just once but 2 other times that he smelled really bad and stepped back. When it was my turn to go to the register I ordered my drink and asked if he was the manager. The second I asked that he caught a little attitude with me. I am a shift lead and assistant manager in training and I would NEVER and would NEVER accept my employees to act and treat a human being like that. He was very insensitive to this mans situation and did not need to call him out or embarrass him in front of other employees and customers in the store. I was standing right behind him and did not make a single face or comment as he manager should've have as well. We're all human being, it was very disappointing to see a higher up treat someone that way when he should be showing his employees how to properly treat people. His response was " I still serviced him ". There was no need for him to speak to me with an attitude. I was nothing but respectful and and wanted to bring light to the situation because it could be anyone of us one day. Train your employees to have empathy and treat others better. read more
