Double cheeseburger
Leanne D.

We spent the entire day exploring the park and wanted a light quick meal since we ate a later lunch in the park. We didn't feel like eating at a sit down restaurant and since McDonald's was located right in front of our hotel it was so convenient and quick. We ordered the double quarter pounder with cheese and the double cheeseburger "to go" so we could take it right to our hotel room. Both hit the spot for us. Food tasted like McDonald's ! Service was quick just like we wanted.

Drive thru with snow pile on right 4-25-22

4-26-22 We had seen this McDonalds the day before so it was the best possible choice between gas station food or this or skip the first meal of the day completely. The McGriddle sandwiches were just right for a morning of sightseeing on day 2 at Yellowstone. The location is easy to pull into to place an order at their drive through window. Notice the height of the unshoveled snow in the photo next door. We saved Old Faithful Geyser and Prismatic for today and had already learned the food situation inside. Like most park attendees like us, it was follow the signs, or pull off on the side of the road for wildlife sightings and snap away. We didn't need a heavy meal, just something to keep our tummies from signaling feed me. If you're headed into the park be sure to bring bottled water, a bag of snacks and extra blankets just in case. You could find yourself without WiFi or reception to make a phone call in case of an emergency for hours. It doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Mango Pineapple Smoothie
Lane T.

Everything you would expect from a McDonald's: 1. Quick, courteous service 2. Standard food and drinks We were happy that this West Yellowstone location had the mango-pineapple smoothie (though it wasn't listed on the menu) which provided a fresh, pick-me-up for our drive north on 191 from West Yellowstone (part of Yellowstone National Park which does not require passing through a pay station but has many pull-offs, campgrounds, and trailheads). A sandwich for each of us, medium fries and smoothie to share, and a medium Americano came out to about $26. $13/each saw us through from breakfast to a very late dinner. Convenient and tastier than a cold deli sandwich -we were thankful. Thanks to this McDonald's - the only fast food drive thru in West Yellowstone!

Almost 3x the cost of every other McDonald's. I would have left if I hadn't already waited 20 minutes in line.

Served my little girl raw chicken nuggets. They replaced her food, but didn't seem real concerned.

It's a busy McDonald's and more expensive than any other I've been to but I get great deals on the app.

I arrived around 7 PM and grabbed a seat at the bar since I was dining solo. The restaurant was busy, but the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Prosciutto Pasta with a side of bread. The pasta was outstanding -- easily one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. The combination of braised chicken, prosciutto, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and creamy parmesan-mascarpone sauce came together perfectly. Every bite was flavorful, rich, and satisfying without feeling heavy or dry. As someone preparing for a half marathon the next morning, it was the perfect carb-loading meal. I also ordered the Huckleberry Sundae for dessert. If you're visiting the Yellowstone area, do yourself a favor and try something with huckleberries. The ice cream, topping, and whipped cream were fantastic, and it ended up being one of my favorite desserts from the trip. One unexpected bonus was getting to chat with other travelers at the bar, including another runner who was also working toward completing a half marathon in all 50 states. It added to the friendly, welcoming feel of the place. Overall, Madison Crossing Lounge delivered excellent food, a great atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. I don't hand out many five-star reviews, but this one earned it. If I'm back in West Yellowstone for another race or a visit to Yellowstone National Park, I'll absolutely be returning. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, green bell peppers, onions, and eggs with buttery hash browns on the side, plus the soup of the day which was the Tuscan soup, and both were really good. One of my friends ordered the cinnamon roll pancake, another got the classic breakfast with buffalo sausage (which was surprisingly delicious), and the other ordered a meatless breakfast burrito. Everything at the table looked fresh and hearty. I also loved how easy checkout was. They bring the receipt directly to the table with a QR code so paying was quick and convenient, and our server was super accommodating by splitting the bill four ways with no issue. The restaurant itself has that cute cozy cabin-style feel, plus they sell fun T-shirts and souvenirs inside. Extra shoutout for helping me wrap my breakfast burrito to go before our flight. They brought me foil paper so I could keep it warm, tossed it in my bag, and yep... I ended up eating it on the plane later. Definitely a solid five-star breakfast stop while visiting Yellowstone!

Cutting boards were disgusting, crumbs and dust on every surface. The staff were funny to interact with, and had some dope music on aux, but honestly pretty gross as well and as someone who has worked in some pretty rough joints I can certify the food handling was horrific. I mean snot on gloves, food being dropped and put back in. Anyways, I think I paid some solid money for a "forced consciousness expansion" in the words of Hunter S. Thompson, and unless you wanna play salmonella roulette I'd probably skip this one.

Two meatball footlong, one veggie-only footlong and one 6-inch veggie-only sandwich for $45.72 not including chips, drinks, or anything. Just sandwiches. They had signs up about it being a "mask-free zone" out of respect for the hearing impaired but let's be honest. They weren't likely hard of hearing. At least I didn't notice, though I did take off my mask briefly to order just in case that was true because I do care about others. Frankly, I think it was their way of giving a middle finger to those who actually care about the health of others. Seemed political, especially with a quote from Abraham Lincoln quoting something about freedoms next to one of the (yes, multiple!!) signs that was taken completely out of context. It was blatantly ignorant. Overpriced, ignorant, politically-divisive sandwich shop I would never re-visit.

After a particularly warm day of hiking, my husband and I resolved to try OTC -- especially since signs read that it was established in 2023. Keeping restaurants open is very hard work. I was interested in trying a buffalo burger while my husband looked forward to more trout. Since this is a family-friendly restaurant, perhaps the entry should be rethought. The door directly opens to the bar, which has high tables where families can be seated. (Here, we chose seats so we could watch the World Cup match.) There's another room with more conventional, lower tables. I asked for sliced jalapenos to be added the buffalo burger with cheddar, lettuce, sliced tomato, diced raw red onion on a toasted bun. Diners can specify to what extent the buffalo is cooked: medium or med rare are recommended. Substitute side fries for a side salad (romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded cheese & crutons) for a nominal fee. * Ask your server to hold the cheese on the salad if you don't prefer it.
