I have used McLeods twice now for two completely different types of work. One was a major water leak and the most recent was body work due to hitting a deer. These guys (and gals) are top notch from start to finish. They even go the extra mile. Let me explain. When I went to pick up my vehicle I noticed there was a small container of touch-up paint. I thought, this is nice, I'll use this to touch-up the scrape I have on my rear bumper (totally unrelated to the original work). I just picked up my car this morning from McLeod Auto Body. It was an insurance claim with a minimal amount of damage. McLeod exceeded in every way. We had our car repaired there and painted as well. The body work was excellent. The problem was that the paint job was not done properly. They over brushed the paint and I found a little dent on my passenger door that did not exist before. Unfortunately I had to come back again for another session. Garry was very nice and helpful. They fixed all the issues and finally I got my car back. If they fixed it properly in the first place I would give this place definitely better score. read more

I recently worked with Mark at McLeod on a rear bumper cover repair for a 2003 VW Passat. When I took the car in for the estimate, I was impressed at the cleanliness of the office and waiting area. Mark came out and surveyed the car, taking pictures as he worked. Sensing my rush, he offered to email the estimate to me...I think I had it before I'd driven the 4 miles back to my office. The estimate received (one of seven) was very competitive. As I asked additional questions via email to inform my choice of a body shop, Mark was helpful and responsive. Once I made the decision to go with McLeod, the team acted fast. I expected to wait a week or more for a bumper cover to be delivered, but it took just a couple days and McLeod called me to schedule the work. They were done in just just over a day and the quality was excellent. McLeod Auto Body repaired our Prius, which was rear ended at a traffic light. The car needed two new bumpers, a hood and some other parts. They used various techniques with Toyota and the insurance company to get mostly OEM parts put on. The car now looks better than it did before the accident. They also took care of all coordination with the insurance and rent a car agencies. They were professional and very pleasant to deal with. We would use them again without hesitation. read more

Nice people, and did an okay job. 3.5 stars for being "okay." Rounded up to 4 for purposes of the review. I read these guys do a lot of Hondas, and had good yelp reviews, so I went with them after I was rear-ended. Following repairs, the paint looked good, and it was nice of them to vacuum my car prior to delivery. But bumper fit wasn't perfect, or as good as I had hoped. The lines where the bumper meets with the rear quarter panel and tail-light wasn't spot-on. I was a little disappointed. No idea if it could be tweaked or shimmed up to fit better. I'm not a body-guy. But it's not as good as it was prior to getting hit. I did mention this to a person who called me later, and he offered to have me bring the car back to see what they could do to correct that. And while appreciate it, the drive to Kirkland, more time without my car, for a minor fitment issue....I just swallowed the disappointment, and let it go. So would I go back to them? First-pass quality is iffy. But they're good people. But Kirkland is far from me. So I don't know. I'd probably look for a more nearby shop first. If they were local to me, maybe. read more

My Miata had severe sheet metal damage down the left side due to a passenger in another car opening a door into it as I was passing. The fenders and door were all severely scraped. Gary dealt with the other party's insurance, was able to obtain agreement to use OEM parts throughout, and the finished product looks new! The only glitch was a paint mismatch between the front fender and the hood. When I pointed it out, they repainted the fender, no questions asked. My 2010 Tundra was damaged by a Safeco Insurance Customer. Per Safeco request, went to Abra Auto Body & Glass for damage assessment and repair estimate. Abra e-mailed me the repair estimate. I then took my truck to McLeod Auto Body to get the repairs completed due to all of the positive Yelp reviews. My experience was TOP SHELF! Gary Hurst and all of the Office Staff are wonderful. I basically scheduled my repair appointment, showed up at the agreed upon time and McLeod's customer service basically took care of the rest for me! Rental Car pick up and drop off occurred at McLeods. I was always kept up to date and informed by all of the office staff. The Abra repair estimate did not include OEM replacement parts, but McLeod's was able to work with Safeco and replace my damaged parts with OEM parts!!! AWSOME!!! This took longer to accomplish, but McLeods took care of it!!! Due to my back up lights being discontinued by PIAA, Gary Hurst was able to replace them with LED lights which are much brighter and look nicer than the older PIAA 1500 Back up Lights. I really like them. While I hope not to get into another car accident, I am glad to know a repair shop like McLeods is out there. Thank you again for the great customer service!!! It is appreciated! My car was rear-ended and the entire back half of my car needed to be repaired. I was worried because my car was brand-new and I had only driven it for a few days when I was hit. I wasn't sure if my car would be in as good of condition after the repairs as when I bought it new. McLeod Auto Body did a fantastic job and my car both looks and runs as beautifully as when I purchased it. After the repairs were done they spent a few days testing/driving the car to make sure the alignment was working properly before returning the car. I had my car repaired here after seeing all the good yelp reviews. I was hit in a parking lot while I was out getting breakfast and they smashed my tail light and dented the panels and bumper. I was nervous about picking a shop to do the work as I was worried about paint matching and getting good OEM parts (I drive a 2001 BMW). They took care of everything with the other persons insurance company including the set up of a rental car. HOWEVER, the rep from Enterprise was completely incompetent and gave all wrong information about the rental policies (im 19, not 21) so I had to pick up a car later in the day after making several phone calls on my own. I blame this partially on Enterprise, and partially on McLeod, for not getting correct information and making me late to work. Other than that, they have a clean shop, customer service was great, and my car was finished on time as promised looking like nothing had ever happened! They also gave me a bottle of touch up paint which was nice. All OEM parts from the dealer as well so no worries there. My only other complaints: I wish they would wash the WHOLE car rather than just the parts they are fixing and painting. Part of my car is dirty and part is clean and I cant even wax for 60 days till the paint cures.. Annoying but whatever. All in all, my car is properly handsome again and I would use their shop again for any future repairs (knock on wood) I may have. read more

EXTREMELY UNHAPPY. (called a punk, little boy, prick, and threatened to have me "come down to the shop and get your ass beat" by the owner, Mark Cantrell. ... Story below) My 2004 Acura RSX was hit on the left side. Currently at a total estimate of $7,627.50. It has been in the shop since the 28th of February. It is now the 28th of March. When I went in to Mcleod's, I asked that an alignment be done on my vehicle. Originally, my car was "completed" on the 19th. No alignment had been done, cosmetically yes, except for a gap between my driver's door and the quarter panel (side of my vehicle). Mcleod's said drive it and see if you still notice the alignment, email us and we will take care of it. I did and emailed that night. Brought my car back into Mcleod's for an alignment and went to pick it up last night. Figuring that my car was complete, scheduled to pick my car up after the shop was closed. Went to open the door and made a loud noise. highly noticeable. I was livid. Emailed Mcleod's to let them know the issues that I still had. Talked with Mcleod and Progressive about the situation. Gary, the man in charge of the repairs to my vehicle admitted fault and told them he would take care of the issues that I had with my vehicle. Gary than called me to let me know that he was working on it, (great guy, easy to talk to). (12:03pm) Progressive,(12:10pm ), said that they would no longer cover my rental as of today as they do not supply a rental for rework purposes. I figured I would give Gary some time to work out the issues. As it got later in the day (2:26pm) I called to find out how long it was going to take to be completed as Progressive will not pay for the rental after today. This is where any respect for Mcleod's was drained. Upon calling, I was expecting to talk to a woman by the name of Nicole (who is also great. no complaints) but the phone was answered by a male. I began to explain the situation and told him that I was just trying to figure out how long my car was going to take as Progressive will not pay for the rental after today. I was rebuttal-ed with " Progressive is responsible for the cost of the rental while it is in the shop." I began to explain that Progressive will not pay for a rental for rework purposes. That is when I began feeling talked down to. (Keep in mind that I have been in touch with them several times today) I asked to speak with Nicole, as she knew exactly what was going on. It then continued to go downhill when he responded with "I am the owner!" (Mark Cantrell) in a sarcastic, instigated manner. Argument began there. Which lead to being called a prick, a little boy, shut the f*ck up, and a punk. When I told him that I am extremely uncomfortable with you and that I will be coming to pick my vehicle up, I was told "No your f*cking not, Come to the shop you'll get your as* beat little boy" I have not been satisfied with the "end results" of McLeod's twice now. I have never been spoken to in such a demeaning manner let alone be called those names, By The Owner, Mark Cantrell. I am just taking the time to share my story and experience that I had with McLeod's. Please be aware, the only reason that I went to them was because they were recommended; Work I have not been satisfied with, but others have. With so many glowing reviews, I anticipated a wonderful experience. Instead, it was the worst at any body repair shop I've used in the past 35 years. The good: - Many promises of outstanding after-repair support. They brag a lot about their guaranty. - The front office staff and estimator were friendly. - The shop looks clean, from what I could see. - Upon delivery, the car was clean, and the tires had been given a treatment. On the outside, it looked good! The not so good: - The process of discovering all damage was very slow, and the initial estimate was unrealistic.The final cost was many times the initial estimate. - The shop claimed to have done a complete repair of a water leak, but several weeks after the car was released, the leak persisted. The estimator **adamantly** insisted this was a new leak, unrelated to the collision damage in the same part of the vehicle, and the leak they had attempted to repair previously. So much for after-repair support. He did say he would be happy go give me a new estimate for the cost of repairs, but this repair would be at my expense. He reluctantly agreed to send the estimate to my insurance company, which finally paid for the extra repairs. - After taking delivery of the car after the second repair, I discovered damage to some of the attachment points of the trim pieces in the trunk area, and discovered a loose strap-retention bolt and fixture, lying in the spare-tire well (this isn't a tiny part). So reassembly was incomplete, and they had damaged some of the pieces of plastic trim. - The drain plug beneath the battery well was not in place after either repair event, and I was not asked about it. (It was in the glove box, because the well had been filling up with rain water). - Communication was difficult. I ended up communicating more with my insurance company than with the shop to get repair status. The insurance company told me they also experienced difficulties in receiving estimates. I don't know why, and I've always had good experiences in communicating with my insurance company. Perhaps they will express surprise and regret at my negative review, but I have lost all faith in their behavior and the quality of their work. I will not return to this shop under any condition. read more

A neighbor swiped my Z3 in our condo parking garage. I'm lucky (and appreciative) that he left his contact info and arranged to have my car fixed. The same day I discovered the accident I took my car to several body shops, including the Bellevue BMW dealership where I'd had all my work done previously. I'm meticulous about maintaining and fixing anything wrong with my car, so was trepidatious about taking it to anyone but the BMW dealership. Nonetheless, Yelp and other on-line community reviews helped me narrow potential shops down to a few locals on the Eastside. I chose McLeod after reading their nearly universally positive reviews on-line. On calling them, I got a pleasant receptionist who urged me to bring the car in even though the shop was closing in less than a half hour. First big plus--they were sincerely amiable up front. Once I brought the car in, things only got better. The receptionist continued to be relaxedly warm, joking freely with me and thereby putting me at ease. The service specialist, Mark Cheyne, however, cinched the deal. He listened patiently to every question I had and answered my questions unwaveringly and politely. I never felt rushed or like just another appointment in an anonymous queue--an ugly characteristic of many other service providers' business models. I scheduled an appointment for two days later--about a week earlier than the next available appointment at their biggest competitor. Plus number two--I'd get my car back by the weekend. McLeod called me with a friendly service update the day my car was ready (today). I picked up the car and was immediately impressed. I really couldn't detect the work McLeod had done--that is, the repair matched the rest of the car's body seamlessly--and I'd just had the car fully detailed at Park's Place Auto Salon. But Mark had gone above and beyond: he'd arranged to have the few small rock chips on my bumper repaired while the shop was working on the major damage from the collision to my bumper. And this without any cost to me. That kind of conscientious attention to detail is rare and justifiably remarkable. Plus number three--thoroughness beyond expectation. Again, the front office staff was genuinely affable as I picked up my car. Never once a lapse in their warmth for this (now loyal) customer. I feel compelled to add here that I noticed the office staff treating the customer ahead of me as I arrived today with the same laudable courtesy. Plus number four--consistently dignified treatment of customers. I believe in calling a business out if it doesn't provide contracted service for my hard earned money. I also believe in providing a glowing review when a business' service is exceptional, as McLeod's has been. I have had my Honda S2000 CR here twice. I have been very impressed with their professionalism and the amazing work. The experience is fantastic from the time you walk in. They handle the insurance claim, have a rental car brought down, everything. I have worked with Mark both times. He has been great. There is very little waiting to get an appraisal. He takes extra time to explain in detail the work that will be done and answers all my questions. There is never any rush. There was a scratch that I had caused outside the area the insurance was going to cover. I offered to pay to have the scratch buffed out. He said they would buff it out at no cost. I was floored. Just an example of the treatment you can expect from McLeod. I've been so happy with the insurance work I'm going to have some custom work done. This auto body shop was professional and reputable. Back in 2011, I was selling my car and had a few huge scuff marks and a few scratches and marks all over my car. The manager let me know he could do several options but he would recommend the option that was most beneficial to my needs. It just so happen to be the cheaper option. This was a level of service that I was not really accustomed too with auto shops and it was quite refreshing. McLeod's did an awesome job on our Toyota Corolla! You can't even tell there was repair work done, it looks brand new. I was debating on this repair shop and another one but I ended up picking McLeod's based on the reviews here and I don't regret it one bit. The customer service was great and I love the updates they gave on our car. The rear bumper they received from the insurance company came in damaged so they emailed my husband and I to let us know the good news that they ordered an OEM part. Everything went super smooth and I'd definitely recommend them 100%. The paint job was perfect and to top it off they even cleaned inside of our car and trunk. We went there for an estimate after being involved in a fender-bender and were treated very professionally by Mark who took his time and gave us a detailed printed estimate. He estimated it would take seven working days to fix our car and made arrangements to get us a car to drive while he had ours in the shop. It ended up taking three weeks to fix the car since there was damage that couldn't be seen until they had the car taken apart. Mark kept in close touch with us, letting us know what was going on with the car and when we could expect that the job would be done. He also took care of all of the conversations with the insurance company. We picked up the car yesterday and it looks wonderful. I had my very first accident in August ( on my birthday ) and i can tell you it is and was one of the most stressful and traumatic experiences of my life. I had some serious damage to my honda from hitting a truck from the back (yeah.. i know) and it was almost considered TOTALED...of corse i freaked out... from the beginning since the first day my car was brought in the day of the accident, McLeod's was there by my side. The receptionist reassured me that they worked closely with my local dealership and everything would get taken care of. They handed me my keys to the rental and sent me off on my way for my birthday. Gary worked closely with both me and the dealership and kept me in the loop about everything that was going on with my car even if it was good or bad news which still was reassuring. When i got the car back, i was honestly speechless because my car looked like it did when i first bought her. Of corse she wasn't but it was sure good to have my first car back and in my possession again. On top of the excellent service that the whole staff of McLeod's gave me, they also surprised me with some free touch up work to my back bumper and trunk. I was really happy the work Gary and the McLeod's team did and i highly recommend them to anyone needing a decent but yet reliable collision company! Mcleod did an excellent job. I wish I could give them a ten star rating! My minivan had been hit and the other driver's insurance refused to fix the car and instead wanted to total it. Mark talked to the insurance company twice to no avail. He then put together an estimate using used parts and not performing some of the cosmetic work, so that I could get the van fixed without a lot out of pocket. The van ended up looking great. I picked it up and the final cost was less than his estimate and he had even taken care of the cosmetic items. I was so happy! McLeod's did really good work and were so helpful..
