My new Volvo XC60 was struck in a parking lot. The right rear body panel was dented, the bumper destroyed, and the lighting assembly was smashed. My car has a gloss black metallic paint which is very difficult to match perfectly. I chose McLeod based on other reviews and a personal tour of the shop. The shop is very clean and organized. I am very happy with the quality of the finished product. The paint is a perfect match to include the metal flake component and application. My car very was clean when I picked it up. I could not find any sign of less than perfect craftsmanship. They used OEM parts from a local dealer. I plan to bring my other car in for some 'refresh' work in the spring. read more

I walked in the door heartbroken (busted my car up). They walked me through the whole process, advised me how to handle insurance company, and provided me with honest and reliable service. They went above and beyond, and removed my sound system (stereo/amp/subwoofer) at no cost before the insurance came and took my car (jerks) due to a total loss claim. They did a fantastic job on returning my Honda Accord to original state after a collision. They are one of few shops that is "Honda approved" for repairs. They really focus on quality and managed to convince the insurance company to pay for OEM parts for most of the repairs rather than aftermarket parts. For one part they were even able to get the dealer to price-match an aftermarket quote. They also pushed against the corner cutting practices that the insurance company tried them to go with. The only area of improvement I would cite for them is to provide regular communication on the work as I had to poll them for updates versus receiving them. I recommend them without any reservations and would go back to them if I needed any more auto body work in the future. read more

McLeod Auto Body was recommended to me for body work after someone backed into my car in a parking lot, denting the passenger side door. I was able to stop by for an estimate the same day I called them - it was done in 15min and Mark Cheyne explained everything. Their estimate was higher than a 2nd estimate I received at another shop, but McLeod was straight up about all costs and included blending paint on adjacent panels for better matching, which the other shop did not include. They will also order and have the parts ready for your car before your appointment date - the other shop I checked out would only order after dropping the car off which meant more days without my car. McCleod did a great job. The paint matches well and my car was returned very clean. I'm happy to have found a local neighborhood shop that does quality work. read more

I brought my honda in for a repair after a collision. The work was done fairly quickly, looks great, and the service was friendly. I paid my bill and then came back with my husband after hours to actually pick up the car. The battery was dead. (Interior light left on). Sort of annoying, but it started when we jumped it, so whatever. Bad luck, I was hit while driving my parents car (the other guy's fault)! As they'd done a nice job on my car, and the battery thing was probably just a weird fluke, I took them my parents car. Again, friendly. Again, looks good. Again, went to pick I up after hours and the BATTERY IS DEAD. What?? Except we tried to jump it (tonight) and it still wouldn't start. Depending on how they resolve this issue, I'll probably raise them a star, but still! 2 out of 2 cars? Really? ***Update*** McLeod's responded to the dead battery situation quickly and professionally. They were able to jump the car (using a portable battery gadget that delivers more juice than having another car jump you) and the car started right up. They kept it to let it run for a few hours and then gave me a lift from my house back to the shop so I could pick it up! So I'm upgrading them to a 4 star review. I'd definitely go back to them. I just hope not to need to anytime soon! read more

I was pretty happy with the service I received at McLeod. They work with a tow company who came and got my car and delivered it to the shop. They were able to give me an estimate of when I would get my car back and they delivered on time! I was expecting to have delays. When I picked up my car they took the time to go over everything they did and were happy to answer my questions. I did have some belt problems three days after I got my car back, but it was impossible to determine if it was because of the work I had done at McLeod's or if my belts broke on their own.They also work with a rental car company to get you low rates. 11/5/2014 For estimate these guys charged me more than 500 dollars and owner was very unprofessional. 2 days car storage 160 dollars over charged and on their estimate sheet its says 50 dollars per day storage of car . If you are not going to use their services then they behavior immediately changes..Do be fooled by other rating when you do a service with them once you change your mind you end up paying lot of money. I recently had to use McLeod autobody. Someone hit my parked Prius in library and caused front left body damage. After checking yelp, I narrowed down the autobody sop to McLeod. I trust community feedback more than anything. My experience at McLeod was great. Best part I liked was that they only use original parts even if insurance companies ask them to use after market. I did get regular updates from them. Reason I bumped my rating form 4 star to 5 stars is due to Mark - technician who handled my case. He is super nice guy, very clam, explained things to me and just a gentle man. After I got my car, I noticed award bump in door every time I closed the window. I called them and Mark looked into it. Turned out that is a design flaw/feature in Prius. Mark brought another Prius to check and compare. Overall, great experience. Next time if needed, I'll take my car to McLeod. read more

We had a few scrapes and scratches on our bumpers (yes both) that were our fault and we simply wanted to get cleaned up so they weren't so noticeable. McLeod was very understanding of our wish to simply cleanup what was there and not pay for a full restoration. This review is long overdue but necessary as McLeod Auto Body is absolutely incredible. The first time I used them was after I was hit by another driver and needed the front bumper of my Chevy Equinox completely replaced. After getting an estimate from another auto body shop, I decided to go with McLeod because of how easy they made this process and how quickly they were able to get my car repaired. They are the only place that I know of that gives you a pamphlet that explains your rights when dealing with someone else's insurance company. They immediately told me that it was their job to deal with the insurance company and that they would go to bat for me. And they did just that! They made this entire process as painless as possible and did all of the legwork for me; they even handled setting me up with a rental car. My car came back to me good as new and within the time frame that they first quoted. My car also needed an oil change and they went out of their way to take it to Eastside Automotive to get that taken care of free of charge. The girls at the front desk could not be any nicer or more helpful. Katie and Kelsey are absolutely amazing, answered all of my questions, and assisted me in helping with my claim. Kelsey is unbelievably knowledgeable when it comes to knowing your rights and really went above and beyond for me. I had a very minor fender bender on the front of my car. Bent the front fender and hood very minor damage. I was given a quote of $1,265.00 by Gary Hurst. Thought that was outrageously high so took my car to CollisionMasters. The gentleman came out and looked at my car, went back into the shop came out with a screwdriver and popped the fender and hood back together, looked like new, no marks, no charge. I had my car repaired here after seeing all the good reviews and they were pretty close to where I live. The initial consult was no-nonsense and I was given an estimate which made sense. Everything was explained to me very clearly. Night drop off feature was great - dropped my car off on a Sunday night.To my surprise the cost was lower than the estimates (by a couple of hundred $s). I had one deep scratch at the back of my car done by the garage door and some small ones around the fenders. After inspecting it there to get an estimate the guy was so honest that he cleaned the small ones for free and told me a touch up paint from my car dealer would do the job. After ordering the touch up paint I went back to him since I don't know how to apply it. He did it for free. Great service! read more

They gave a strong price, but most of all they did not try to up sell, they acted like pros and they were happy to explain the whole process to me. Our repair was about $3000 they dealt directly with the insurance and even came in under budget. The repair still looks good almost two years later. Everyone was happy. If we need an autobody repair that is where I will go. I've worked with McLeod Auto Body on three separate occasions, and each time I am treated to excellent customer service and impeccable work. To me, auto body work appears to be a combination of art and engineering, making McCleod the Michaelangelo of auto body shops. Additionally, they finish the work on time, as promised, and keep me updated on the status of the work. A lot of businesses could learn from them. I have no idea how the cost of their work compares to other auto body shops, McLeod has never given me reason to shop. I'll take excellent over cheap any day. My Honda suffered from left side head on damage. The car was brand new so obviously it was a very frustrating process overall. I sent it to this body shop and by the time I picked it up, it looked just as new as it did when I bought the car. It was a really pleasant outcome and my car looks better than good. They kept me updated with the cars situation as much as possible and a man (I believe his name was Mark) was very helpful addressing any issues and/or concerns that came up. My only tip would be not to wait to call and get your car towed in. They tend to be very busy and booked up so call and have them tow you ASAP to ensure your car is fixed as soon as possible. Not only professional from start to end, but also very honest! Went in for a rear bumper repair, they handle the job in a very professional way and I was surprised to find my car detailed in the inside and vacuumed. They re-touched paint around and polish it. The car looked like new! I didn't find a cable for my phone after I left and they called to follow up if I was able to find it. I was very happy with the service! Best place ever. The people that work there are the best and honest!. After getting the estimate and left the lot, I realized that my engagement ring was missing! I wasn't quite sure if it was at McLeod that I lost it but it was the last place I was when I thought I had it on. Went back and look around the lot, asked the receptionist if she saw an engagement ring, but nothing. She came out to help me look around on the floor, since I didn't find anything I decided to go to the next place that I may have lost it. To be honest, I thought how would I find it?, it's lost! I was ready to drive away, while the receptionist continued looking around, then she waived at me. She had found it!! I couldn't thank her enough! Such a precious and beautiful ring was found. The first time I visited McLeod is 2003. Yes, 15 years passed they did not change much-excellent service, quality work, and reasonable price. They deliver what they promised. It is hard to find such a company that you can trust these days. Usually you will not feel good when visiting them (as something must be wrong with your vehicle that will cost money) but know your vehicle will be in good hands made you feel relieved. I've used Lakeside Collision and other great auto body shops here on the Eastside, but there is NONE BETTER than McLeod! Gary and his team have taken care of my son's car, my daughter's car, and now my father-in-law's car, each time doing a fair and generous estimate (in our favor) and then performing excellent work. Frankly, McLeod's is performing auto body for 1/3 less than other shops in the area. The front office personnel are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and I received an estimate within minutes of arriving (no appointment necessary).
