I don't usually leave reviews but the experience I just had compels me to do so. I have to say up front, I have had 2 prior experiences with this salon in the years prior, and both were atrocious. This location is so close to where I live, I desperately wanted them to be better. I saw that MD was under new ownership and I made the mistake of trying again. I explained I wanted a powder dip fill, with a single color and a regular pedicure with regular polish. I said exactly like the nails I walked in with, just a different color on the tips. They tried to talk me in to gel. I said no. Gel doesn't last on me, it peels off. Plus my existing nails just needed a fill. They agreed they could do what I asked. Pedicure first. They put me with an older male technician. He asked me multiple times if I wanted gel on my toes and I explained multiple times why I didn't. He seemed irritated. When we went to do the fill and manicure, I explained again. I had shown him my existing nails and said I want exactly this but with yellow on the tips to match the toes. He asked again, I explained again. He agreed. Got everything filed down and then he started applying some kind of thick lumpy clear acrylic looking gel to my powder dipped nails. It was goopy. I had been watching the tv when I looked down and realized what he was doing. He's been working for quite some time on one nail. Trying to sculpt a nail shape out of the blobs. I stopped him. The acrylic was see through and you can see the power dip underneath. My nails beds looked discolored. He was very exasperated. After a back and forth I quickly realized that I was not going to have time for him to take this crap off and start over, and the way he argued makes me think they don't have powder dip at all. I told him fine, finish but this is not what I asked for. It's my fault for trying them again and I don't have time to start over. I told him to do what he needed to, in order to make it look like what I came in with. I was calm and respectful, I figured I will deal with getting it fixed next time with my usual salon. I had pale yellow on my toes and he was supposed to use the matching powder version on my tips. At this point this guy was refusing to use powder, so I said whatever you do, just use the matching polish/gel that's on my toes so I can be on my way. We were at the 2 hour mark at this point. I looked around for the manager, didn't see her. He said he understood, and then proceeded to start painting my nails STARK WHITE. I said "sir, what are you doing? I said yellow, match the toes..." he just started sighing and rolling his eyes. I asked if there was someone else I could speak with to explain. He said "I understand you perfectly I don't know why you have to get so difficult"... I stood up and said I am just going to pay and leave. I gathered my things as I went to the front while he said over and over, "ok lady fine I will do it for you" like I was asking for something outrageous. I was apologetic to the only 3 people in the place, I literally have the simplest nail style of all time. I said no and went to pay, then a teenager who who works there came over and asked what happened. I showed her the picture of what I wanted, which is what I walked in with, and that he said yes and had told the manger that he could do it. I told her I wanted powder dip not gel or acrylic. I said I don't expect anything for free, but I don't have time to redo this. She was very sweet and apologetic and said that he just doesn't understand. She had another tech quickly paint yellow on top of whatever the guy had put on my nails, while he complained loudly on the phone behind me. They charged full price. I paid it. 3 strikes, you're out. No wonder the place is empty. read more

It's self-care Sunday! Spontaneously decided to get my nails done this morning so I decided to try this place out for the first time. Booking an appointment was easy despite having it be a last minute request on a busy Sunday. The owner was welcoming, offered me a drink, and even took the time to review different options of services I could choose from based off of the inspiration photos I showed him. Natalie was my tech today and she did not disappoint in executing my requests. If you are looking for the same style, she taught me to ask for an "ombre fade"! You can tell that they put a lot of care into the aesthetic of the place and as well as keeping it clean. Overall, it was a great experience in terms of ambiance, communication, and service. This place is horrible. The guy technician made me bleed three times and refused to clean up the dried blood on my nails. He also had made my hands feel like they were burning in the nail dryer. Also claimed that he couldn't put on the polish that I initially requested when another technician said after the fact that it could have been applied with no issues. I didn't expect to come to a "professional" place only to be cut and burnt. Very terrible experience here and will not be returning. read more

It pains me to say this (literally) but I won't be coming back to this nail salon. They increased their prices or maybe I never paid attention before but it is above average especially for a regular gel mani where I can get the gel mani with art for the same price somewhere else. Also, the last few times, they messed up my nails and this time filed my finger to where I got a cut. It still hurts. I tried to be nice and even left a 15% tip, but I just won't be back anymore unfortunately. I was a fan at one point and now I'm just not. read more

4 years later and I still love this place. For so many reasons- It's clean and cute, organized, relaxing. Great selection of polishes. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. The last two pedicures I've received are from Johnnie and he has done such a good job! My toes have looked so cute at the end. MD has a separate room for pedicures and even a little nook for VIP pedicures. The chairs with massage are super comfy. They have recently raised their prices but I think it's worth it, given the quality of the experience. I have paid cheaper elsewhere but the experience isn't as good. I highly recommend MD and Johnnie! Next time I'm even going to get my nails done too :) read more

This was $66, tip included. I'm really sad because the guy cured hair to my nails. I don't think I've ever had hair cured to my nails before when I was getting them professionally done. I'm sad because these were supposed to be my pretty nails for a job interview, and now I'm ashamed of them.... Guy was sweet, but he kept bumping them when he was painting, so I'm sure that's how hair got on. The length of the white tips aren't even. I just didn't even have it in me to tell him they were all different lengths and I hated it. I'll have to come in another day to get it fixed because I don't have time today. My husband and I called for a walk-in appointment for 6:45. When we arrived we were greeted so kindly by Natalie. She and Cindy took us right away for our pedicures and their services was phenomenal. They were very friendly and we were very pleased. During our conversation we found out they actually closed at 6:00, but another technician was still provided nail service to another client, so they were already closed when I placed my call for a walk-in. I spent half a day checking out reviews on various nail places before I chose this one. I called to ask questions in advance. I wanted my gel polish soaked off, not grinded. I wanted a person who speaks English so I could tell them what I wanted. I was assured all their techs spoke English. I basically was looking for a permanent new technician. I arrived about an hour early to a nice environment which looked nice & clean. I noticed tools were individually packaged which I took to be sterile. There were lots of colors & types of polishes. Good selection. My intent was for regular gel polish. Somewhere along the way I chose dip polish. Vinny was my tech. He spoke very little English I discovered through the process. The receptionist told him I wanted soaked. So, he filed and filed the gel on my nails then soaked them with cotton & foil. I discovered my dip polish did not include a manicure (?) which would be $10 extra (having to call the receptionist over again for explanation, of course). I requested the manicure which was short & sweet at best. But at least he didn't try to cut my cuticles. Three coats of dip were put on my nails. I had never had it before so didn't know what to question. Vinny filed and filed my nails trying to thin & properly shape the stuff with a very coarse emery board. The ultimate result was a blobby, bubbled mess. Stupid me didn't bother to drag my glasses out of my purse to have a good look before I left! That evening I noticed my fingers becoming increasingly sore. The picture attached is 4 days after the manicure. You can see where he actually filed the skin off my fingers. This definitely won't become my new home. And I suggest, unless you're fluent in Vietnamese, you do your own nails. read more

I paid $130 for a gel mani/gel pedi just to leave and get a polish change elsewhere 2 stars for the decent pedi. The guy was trying to upsell me the entire time. I asked him not to scrub the top part of my foot but he did twice. I asked once more for him to stop but only after he scoffed.
