Femi was so amazing. Not only is she welcoming and warm, but you can truly tell she has a true passion for what she does. I've found my new hairstylist! It's so hard to find quality stylists who know how to do Black hair in the city, and I've lived there for over 15 years at this point. I had an appointment this afternoon and from the moment I walked in, I didn't feel like a new client. Femi is the most welcoming and warm person. Femi is absolutely amazing!!! I've been living in the Bay Area for nearly 6 years and I have struggled to find someone who can do black hair. I discovered this hidden treasure of a Black owned and Women owned black hair care salon on the Peninsula in South San Francisco. The service was excellent, professional and beautifully done. My stylist Femi is amazing at her craft. She accessed the hairstyle that would work the best for my hair. She even called me a couple of days later to see if I needed any styling tips. There is another stylist available there that also does amazing work. If you are in such of a black stylist look no further. Her prices are fair and she does not require a deposit for booking. I saw beautiful hair weaves and wig installs with customization. Also, the vibe and the conversation is positive and uplifting. Love this place and I've found my new salon. read more

Also, lately, there is parking fee. Park in the front along the Main Street, it costs a lot. I would say this salon price is $$ It's not $ anymore. Give it a try. They are good. He didn't explain why and I am not sure why there is an appointment system if he wasn't there. I show him a picture of the style I want and he suggested me to get a perm. I explained I don't like perm but he kept asking me to get one before and after the cut. I understood my hair is hard and straight so a perm would make it easier to style, but I would have appreciated him suggesting another hairstyle instead of kept asking me for a perm. The haircut process was very nice though. Alan was very meticulous and it came out pretty nice. It took about another hour for the cut itself. Overall, I think the haircut is good and reasonably priced, but spending 1.5 hour for a simple cut is a bit too long. Maybe it's an exception this time. I would give it another try if I am in the area.

I found parking and paid the meter, only to arrive and find her beginning a pedicure with another client. When I said I had a 4pm appt, she said she didn't remember speaking to me earlier and booking my appt. She told me I must have called someone else but I showed her her own business card that I used to get her cell # and she just shook her head and said "no". She did offer me to wait 15 mins to be next but I didn't have time. I made a 4pm appt for a reason. Yes, Holly is nice and sure, she does a decent job, but you'd be better off going to a full service nail salon that is fully staffed. Very disappointing and not worth it.

After living in South San Francisco for over a year, I decided on a whim to check Yelp for a natural hair stylist--and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I called, Femi, the owner, she provided outstanding customer service and was able to get me in the very next day. She and Myisha are both incredible stylists with warm, welcoming personalities. Femi worked magic on my long natural hair, expertly flat ironing, coloring, and pressing it to silky perfection. Her skills are truly top-notch, and she made the entire experience so enjoyable. The salon is in a great location, and the atmosphere was comfortable and professional. It's rare to find stylists who are not only highly skilled but also genuinely care about their clients and create a wonderful experience. After over a decade of appointments with Femi, I remain impressed with her incredible styling, commitment to perfection, and intuition when it comes to the hopes and fears that accompany style changes. Most importantly, the health of my hair always takes precedence. I've referred my daughters for occasional trims to their natural styles and they have the same feedback. I always leave her shop feeling sooo fresh, and genuinely enjoy spending time in her chair.
