Very cute restaurant in downtown Princeton! Absolutely LOVE the drinks! The Italian food is good too but a bit on the pricey side (and they charge for bread) so it's best for special occasions. The staff is super friendly and gives great recs.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice ambiance and can get very packed on a weekend so make a reservation in advance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a good wine and cocktail selection, as well as sangria. The cauliflower and patatas bravas from the tapas/appetizers section were great. I enjoyed the salmon as well - outside was slightly crispy and the inside was still soft and flavorful. My friends ordered the tilefish and said that was really good too.

Never a bad experience when dining here. Staff was attentive and very helpful. I ordered the paella and everything was delicious. So much flavor and definitely can feed 2-3 easily. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment offers indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean and chill environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Family and kid friendly and they also welcome Fur babys. Will definitely be coming back whenever I'm In town.

    Salmon ceviche was amazing!

Visited here twice in the past 6 months and loved it. They do get very crowded so be sure to make reservations. Service was friendly and food was super good. Our table had the ceviche, stuffed mushrooms and ahi tuna to start and they were all so good. My husband and I shared the seafood paella which was like jambalaya and it was amazing and enough food considering we had the apps. We all had the affogato for dessert and really enjoyed those too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We'll likely come back in the area but I hope they do something about their bathrooms: they were so gross considering this is a pretty pricy place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Table of 4 with drinks and apps came to $400.

We sat outside on a beautiful summer night in front of the fountain and expected a delicious meal. The food was warm, boring, portions were extremely small. We left disappointed and hungry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I assume this is a popular spot in Princeton for visitors and no one expects an actual decent meal. It's more about the ambience and location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We told the manager that the $46 steak was bland, unsalted and had no sear. He was apologetic.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a great time at Mediterranean for a conference dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had the side room all to ourselves, which gave us the space and comfort we needed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were very friendly and attentive. The wine and mocktails were kept flowing and everything was served at a great pace. All of the appetizers were really tasty. We had hummus, salads, a burrata with tomatoes, and a medley of chick peas, mushrooms, and I think sweet potatoes (this was may favorite). For the meal, I had the salmon which was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and I loved the mushrooms and sauce that came with it. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake and the fruit tart. The fruit tart was the winner in my eyes. Overall a great dinner with great company!

The food was delicious! I ordered buratta and the no carbs pasta- so so good! Also a glass of champagne. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service did not match the level of excellence coming from the kitchen. Our waiter looked like she hated her job. Not personable- not smiling- not interested. That was disappointing. Giving a 3 just because of that.

Visited while spending time with family on the East Coast. The service was amazing, and the pita with hummus appetizers were especially tasty. I enjoyed my salad but I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken, which mainly had a grilled taste without much seasoning. My family really enjoyed their meals, especially the steak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is right in downtown Princeton such a charming town![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Project hosted a dinner here, they did a very good job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful. Stoneware place settings were unique, rich wood throughout, tables and dining room all created a comfortable atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was no nonsense, professional, and ushered our disparate group into a cohesive dining experience. Hummus and papas bravas were nice starters. Menu is a patchwork of Mediterranean influences, featuring Spanish and Italian dishes. Service was spot-on, and we had a memorable meal.

Visiting Princeton and stopped at Mediterra. Our group shared the paella and it was enough for three people with leftovers. We enjoyed the hummus, which a unique taste. I believe tahini was mixed in. Service was perfect & waitress was pleasant.

Went for their Sunday brunch and I was pleased. The menu is a bit limited but the food overall is very good. Our waitress was fantastic and the service was very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ate outside so I can't speak for the indoor ambiance but the outside dinning area is great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall we had a good time and enjoyed our meals. I got the smoked salmon bowl, a margarita and shared the chocolate almond croissant. All very tasty!

    Paella Clasica
    Rainey C.

We ordered the Salmon Tartare as an appetizer and the Paella for two. Both were delicious and the flavors were great! The Paella was lacking the crispy crunchy burnt rice bottom (soccarat) but the flavors were definitely there. We loved how generous they were with the portions, especially with the meats too. There's a few big mix of pork sausage, chicken, squid, scallop, and shrimp in the dish. The Salmon Tartare was great too, a nice light cold appetizer. Service was amazing, our waiter was the friendliest and sweetest. We came on a Friday night and every table was full, would definitely recommend getting a reservation before coming!

Then you add the nice plates and simple, yet warm decor. You just can't go wrong. We split the forza Italia as an appetizer to get more of a focaccia kick. We loved the homemade bread. The three cheeses were a nice and complimentary touch. Also, dousing this with some freshly squeezed orange juice didn't hurt. For the main course, we split a pesto gnocchi and a tagliatelle alla Norma. The pasta was truly homemade. Felt super fresh. The sauces were great and not too oily or salty. It was so good that we decided to bring some home to my parents. We will be back again!

Yet, I can confidently say that none of those works can even slightly compare to the chicken parmigiana I had from this establishment. From the moment you step foot into this small, quaint Italian restaurant, you are fully immersed in Italian culture. After being shown to our table, a jovial waiter immediately greeted us with plenty of different water options and spoke of extravagant specials, describing them so convincingly that I almost ordered them all. But after a quick glimpse at the menu, I knew exactly what I wanted. One of my favorite dishes in the entire world is a good, classic chicken parm though I'll admit, I'm very picky about this popular dish. As the chicken parm arrived at the table, I instantly knew this was no ordinary pizza-joint parm. This was a masterpiece. When my knife pierced the chicken, a beautiful crisp echoed throughout the dining room as steam poured out of the perfectly cooked cutlet. And then came the first bite. I immediately began to cry. This was no ordinary bite--this was liberation. My taste buds were freed. After years of searching for the perfect chicken parm, I had finally found it. I am forever indebted to La Mezzaluna and its lovely staff. Not only did they introduce my taste buds to the greatest chicken dish I've ever had, but they also helped create a wonderful night with a lovely date. I will absolutely be returning, and I look forward to the next time I can indulge in their legendary chicken parm.

All of the entrees were a bit on the bland side. However, the Tiramisu for dessert was delicious. Overall a nice experience. A solid 3.5. However, not as great as some of the other Italian restaurants in Central Jersey.

Luca's Ristorante is a hidden gem that proves you should never judge a restaurant by its parking lot. Not long after we were seated, we were greeted by Luca -- a Luca and not the Luca. Still he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about his restaurant, taking the time to walk us through the menu and checking in throughout the meal without ever hovering. Luca's has a partial liquor license, offering a modest wine selection but is otherwise being BYOB. As we were told with a smile, they're much more interested in what's ON your plate than what's IN your glass. We started with two excellent appetizers. The arancini, already a family favorite, were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and disappeared from the table faster than anyone was willing to admit. The Polpette, Luca's signature meatballs with pine nuts and raisins, certainly earned the praise they've received from NJ.com as some of the best in the state. Even if raisins in meatballs sound unusual, trust the process. The restaurant proudly calls itself "A Taste of Ischia," the beautiful volcanic island in the Bay of Naples, and the seafood absolutely lives up to that promise. My squid ink pasta with octopus (the Polypus) was outstanding, with perfectly tender octopus and beautifully balanced flavors. The scallops were buttery, sweet, and cooked to perfection, while the Ischia -- loaded with mussels, clams, and calamari -- was every seafood lover's dream. The rest of the menu proved just as impressive. The Pappardelle, featuring burrata and a rich Bolognese sauce, was a huge hit, while the Romolo, a comforting combination of chicken, pasta, bacon, and sauce, was another winner that had no leftovers to speak of. If you somehow still have room after dinner, Luca's offers a nice assortment of gelato. But do yourself one favor: don't leave without ordering a cappuccino. Rich, foamy, and expertly made, it's the perfect finale to a memorable meal. If you find yourself in Somerset, just a few turns off Routes 287 or 1, make the stop. You'll be greeted by a wonderful staff, treated to outstanding food, and very likely leave wondering how a restaurant this good has been hiding in a strip mall all along.

There was a young lady sitting in the corner in the phone telling us that there were no seats if we didn't have a reservation. Not the most polite but whatever. We went back to the bar and got a table. Why are bar tables always so sticky?! Anyhoo, we just missed the Happy Jour menu but it was only a $1-2 discount (except for the burger: $4). Service was pleasant and attentive. The food was overpriced for sitting in a bar. $30 for a bowl of ramen! (I don't know how it tastes but it's $17 across the street.) $22 for a burger and fries! $10 for two little bao with a single shrimp in each! Ok, that's not too bad since Bao is generally overpriced for some reason but I could have gotten more than one shrimp. Unfortunately, the price did not reflect the quality. My friend who got the ramen said it was in the bottom 25% he's ever had. My burger was pretty good but the bun was toasted and brittle and made an unnecessary mess. The fries--personal preference--I don't like skinny fries. As for the bao, the shrimp was too salty. I liked the finishing salt but the flavoring salt was too heavy. Also, it was drizzled with aioli and I couldn't pick it up and eat it like the sandwich it was. Overall, a disappointment. Mediocre food and an elevated price for no reason.

That is the worst thing we do in America before you eat for health reasons. The ceasar uses a blend of canola and olive oil like most restaurants even if some say they don't. But so far they are all saying they use a blend. It's just cheaper and non the wiser unless you ask. Like I do. We didn't get it. I make it at home from scratch several times week. I learn as a server where else made it in a few minutes table side. Coddled egg yolk, pinch dry mustard, crushed garlic, worceshire sauce. Vinegar, anchovies. Organic Xtra virgin olive oil first cold press from one county optional.
