Lamb & Beef Burger with fries and carrot juice
    Sophia Y.

I keep coming back to Mediterranean Aroma. They've got me hooked and for good reason. My orders are always spot-on, their food is always freshly made, and the staff genuinely warm every time I stop by. Farid, the owner, clearly takes great pride in both the food and the service, and it shows in every detail. The food quality here is fantastic for the price. They're definitely one of the best values around, even with the recent price bumps. My favorites: ~ Kefta with Jerusalem salad: juicy, well-seasoned, and paired with crisp, refreshing veggies. ~ Aroma burger with cheese and fries: The lamb and beef patty is super flavorful and really elevates the burger. The fries always come out perfectly golden and crisp and are especially good with their garlic or burger sauce. ~ Chicken kabab wrap: flavorful, tender, and wrapped just right for an easy, satisfying meal. ~ Carrot juice: it's bright, clean, and freshly juiced. Super refreshing. Whether I'm dining in or grabbing takeout, I can count on them for delicious halal food made with care.

Neighborhood place for great Mediterranean food super flavorful sauces that meat was super tender and delicious. The wrap is homemade. It is absolutely delicious. Nice neighborhood place.

We tried this cafe after a stairs walk and were famished. I ordered the vegetarian plate which for $13.99 was enough food to save half for dinner- great value! The falafel's were crispy and quite nice One of my friends ordered the lamb and beef burger and said she loved the meat part, but that the bun fell apart and my other friend had the lamb Shawarma and thought it was excellent. The staff were friendly. I got lost after using the restroom which is a shared area and ended up having to walk outside of the building and around the corner to get back inside.

A good place in the area for a lunch break! Came with my friends around 12:30 PM and there was a short line. You can order at the cash register or also with their touchscreen kiosk. The food takes a little while to come out especially if they're busy -- it seems like the prioritize their to-go orders, and they forgot my friend's meal but made it quickly once they realized. I got the Chicken Kabob Plate, which has a great variety of sides in good quantities. The chicken itself was a little dry; my friend got their Kefta Plate and that was much juicier. I loved the two salads that came with it, and you can easily put some of your plate into the provided pita and still have a lot left over. Will definitely be back with my friends for lunch soon and happy to try the rest of the menu.

Another delicious meal from our favorite Mediterranean place! Farid the owner is just too kind and friendly! He recognized my daughter and I and came out to say hi and gave us a whole extra order of the red cabbage that is so delicious that even my two daughters ages 2 and 5,who I had trouble getting to eat vegetables, love and will eat. So if you have kids who don't like vegetables, definitely try the red cabbage from Mediterranean aroma! The place is always spotless and spacious with lots of seating both inside and outside.

Kabob Sampler Plate Chicken + Lamb + Kefta

Ordered a side of Falfal, a lentil soup and kabob sampler plate. The food was plenty for 2 with some left overs for lunch next day. The Falfal came with tahini. The platter came with rice, 2 salads and hummus. The Falfal is Egyptian style which was a bonus for me. The kabob was delicious and cooked to perfection. The rice was flavorful and cooked right mix The negatives: the soup was too thick and gluey and needed a lot of salt (love) to come back to life. The kafta was a little chewy and had a lot of little bits that were hard to eat.

I'm sorry, the weird flavors the extra cumin, coriander flavor. I cannot say this place is any good. I would not go here again. It had no saving grace. I'm really sorry It was lamb

A really good, affordable, quick meal near the Chase Center in San Francisco. Order at the counter or on an order kiosk. We ordered... * 6 Piece Falafel -- Nice, Hot & fresh. Not too dry, and good flavor. Served with Tahini dipping sauce. * 1/2 pint Hummus with Warm Pita -- It was good, but it turns out we didn't need it as there wasa side of hummus and pita with the entree. * Combination Kabob Plate - Generous serving of chicken kabob, lamb kabob and kefta (ground beef & lamb) kabob. Chicken was flavorful & juicy. Kefta was also very tasty. Lamb was good and cooked perfectly medium well, but quite heavy on the cardamom spice. Sides of saffron rice, tabouli, Jerusalem salad, hummus and pita. Shared between 2 people. Nothing fancy, but food is good and affordable. Some interior seating, but they had to set up space heaters as the dining area does not have central heating or air conditioning.

This is a no frills mostly to go place. There is indoor seating but I did not see it busy and seemed like most people picked up their orders to go. You can order online, in person or at the kiosk they have in front of their counter. My veggie plate was a little over $15 after taxes. I was able to split into two meals and left full. I actually really like they have a plate option with a variety of things in it, because not all Mediterranean restaurants offer this (instead making you buy everything individually which for the consumer does not turn out as economical as this). While the taste is solid and very good, nothing in particular wowed me but that's ok. For the value, good taste and quick service (I ordered in person and got my meal within 2 minutes), this bumps it up to a 5 stars for me. Their hummus was the least interesting thing for me, but again, very solid. I've had far worse at higher price points. I'll be back.

Super friendly owner who piled up our food! Food was delicious and amazing. Came out super fast took. Plenty of seating available inside. Would love to come again when I'm in the area!

My favorite fast casual spot. Fair prices, huge portions, and tasty food. Love the vegetarian combination - the dolma are very good. I prefer the food here to some of the more trendy Mediterranean spots in the Bay Area. They had boxing videos playing on the TV which was fun too. Service is polite and straightforward as your order from a counter.

    Sara S.

I finally tried tuis place! The photos of prices online are not accurate but everything is still reasonable for the city. No parking and a very casual spot but the owner was kind. I was especially excited that there was not just a falafel sandwich for vegetarians! There were a bunch of options: eggplant, hummus, baba, cauliflower, potatoe, falafel etc.. and you could add different items to one type if you chose for example feta! The hummus was good but i have to be honest it tasted nothing like the one on 16th and mission which ive lived for years. However the place is cleaner and they have better veggie options! I especially liked the pickles in the wrap My recommendation is to not get it to go because half of mine came home mushy AlSO I appreciated the added heater on the cold rainy day - i hate when restaurants dont care if you freeze

We ordered the shawarma and hummus, and everything was fresh and well seasoned. The meat in the shawarma was juicy and not dry, and the hummus was very smooth and creamy, clearly made well. A great spot if you're craving something tasty and satisfying from Middle Eastern cuisine. I'd definitely come back.

The location on Geary is excellent--it has that perfect neighborhood "bodega" feel but with a polished, modern edge. ### The Vibe & Service The ambiance is casual and welcoming, and the service is consistently solid. It's the kind of place where the staff actually seems happy you're there. On a sunny San Francisco afternoon, their **alfresco seating** is the place to be. There's nothing quite like tearing into a warm pita while catching some rays on the sidewalk. ### The Food The "delicacies" here are the real deal: * **Hummus:** Incredibly smooth and rich. It's clearly the star of the show. * **Babaganoush:** Perfectly smoky and creamy. * **Falafel:** Crispy on the outside, vibrant green and fluffy on the inside--just how it should be. * **Pita:** Hands down some of the best in the city. It arrives warm, pillowy, and fresh. * **Salads:** Don't sleep on the sides. The Israeli salad and cabbage are crisp, fresh, and provide that necessary acidic bite to cut through the rich tahini and hummus. **Verdict:** Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or lingering over a spread of small plates outside, this place delivers. High-quality, authentic flavors with a great community vibe. Definitely a staple in my SF rotation.

My friend and I got the shakshuka, musakhan, and Samir's bread. The shakshuka was so savory and delicious, I loved dipping the pita bread and Samir's bread in this. I actually didn't know it came with pita bread! I probably would've held off on ordering Samir's bread had I known this and saved room to try something else. Samir's bread was spiced very well and had a nice chewy airy texture to it. I would say it tastes just as it looks! The musakhan was fantastic, I've never had anything like it. The chicken is so tender and the outside is perfectly crisp. I'm obsessed with this dish. I'm normally not the biggest fan of Mediterranean food, but Beit Rima changed my mind. Mogannam did a complete rebrand from an American burger restaurant to a fast-casual "Arabic comfort food" establishment that's named in honor of his mother and features her scratch-made recipes. To say it's a success is an understatement, as they've been named one of the best restaurants in SF not just by the Chronicle, but even made the NY Times' "The 25 Best Restaurants in San Francisco Right Now." After one visit, it's clear to see why. The Good: * Yelp Waitlist available * Bus stop right outside the door * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Fast-casual order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. * Service was friendly and efficient. * Palestinian and Jordanian beers in bottles! I didn't even know that was a thing. * Falafel were about 98.753% like my mom's. In a word: delicious. * Musakhan was phenomenal. The chicken was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and the sumac-onion "relish" was spot on. Get this. * Handmade pita bread was delicious. * Carissa enjoyed her Shish Tawook plate, as they were smart again and used chicken thighs which kept the well-seasoned meat nice and juicy. The concomitant hummus was fantastic, and the "Mom's Rice" was fuhgeddaboudit good. She did think the chicken could've used an extra thirty seconds on the grill to firm up the meat just a touch, but otherwise it was perfect. The Meh: * The Fattoush salad was just OK. It was overdressed and needed more dates that were cut into smaller pieces so that you get more of it in each bite to help offset the vinegar. The Ugly: * Parking here is a real hassle, as it's street parking only and it's all neighborhoods. So, be prepared to drive around endlessly looking for an opening. Conclusion: Best Palestinian food outside of me mum's kitchen. 'Nuff said. **https://www.sfchronicle.com/projects/2024/best-san-francisco-restaurants/ ***https://www.nytimes.com/article/best-san-francisco-restaurants.html

The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken.
